The solution to the immigration problem is simple just buy American

I have come to the conclusion that the reason President Bush pushed so hard for this bill is that he promised to deliver this amnesty legislation to the leaders of Mexico. It is not in Mexico’s interest for US illegals to return to Mexico. What Mexico is saying here is that it is a grave error because their government will aid Mexicans to break US laws. So what else is new?

His statement saying the US could not prosper without the help of Mexican and central American illegals is ridiculous. The main reason the US might not prosper is its huge debt load. The economic and social cost of not enforcing our borders far outweighs benefits from low cost labor.

We could solve the immigration problem by simply buying products made in North America instead of China. We are now buying 200 billion dollars more in goods and services then we are exporting to China. Not only are the quality of these products not very good, the communist dictators will use this wealth against us. If we took that same 200 billion each year and bought additional products from Mexico and Central American there would be little immigration to the US coming from those regions. The real answer to the immigration problem is to buy products from our neighbors even if it costs more than buying China’s cheap crap. As Mexico and Central America get richer they will also import more US products and trade would eventually even out. Then everyone would win except for the elite of China.

It is time for us to tell Wal-Mart and the rest of them to buy American - that means - buy products made in the US or made by our American neighbors.
