As far as I can see it actually said nothing about convincing American citizens to surrender their firearms to government, so here we go again. Chuck Baldwin takes some truth and then he uses it to set up a straw man argument to attack George Bush and the government. The truth is that pastors would be used by Homeland Security to help restore order if things got out of control in a city after some WMD attack. Any person living in reality would know that if a nuclear bomb went off in a major city that there would be looting, rioting and panic. So who better than pastors to calm the people? Used car salesmen? Gang members? The Dixie Chicks?

Chuck Baldwin thinks America’s pastors are going to be promoting tyranny for the government? Why is that Chuck? Are you claiming that Christian pastors will be part of some world conspiracy to enslave us? You certainly have a low view of America’s Christian pastors. If things are that bad how then do you expect Christians to be any major force in the quest to take American back from the godless? You can’t have it both ways Chuck. Your not being logical.

You ought to know Chuck, that we now must have contingency plans for any major disaster contingency and that is all this is. We all know it is not a matter of “if” a massive terrorist attack will happen, it is just a matter of when and where. I for one, think we should plan for that.

The problem with Chuck is that he then goes off on a tirade about how declaring martial law after such an event in one locality or even in the whole country will then automatically be followed by taking away everyone’s guns. Who says so Chuck? Your leaping to a conclusion that is not logical. If government ever makes the decision to disarm this nation they will not make that decision lightly. They know what the consequences of attempting that order would be.

I don’t know how you would even get the foot soldiers to carry out the order, Congress to fund the mission and not impeach the President, or the Supreme Court to uphold such an order? Therefore, any disarmament of the nation would only be attempted if there was complete anarchy and it was the will of the people of this nation to disarm in order to reestablish a civilized society.

Chuck Baldwin always looks on the dark side and panders to conspiracy nuts. There is no Christian teaching found here but there certainly is a lot of seeds planted for rebellion. Chuck Baldwin needs some guidance by other Christian leaders so he will preach the true gospel, apparently he forgot what that is. I am willing to bet that they did not teach Baldwin’s stuff in Bible college.
