They advertise junk science, and they deliver junk science.

What a crock. WHO never “reversed” a ban — DDT has been allowed for use against malaria constantly since 1946. WHO stopped using DDT when and where it became ineffective. Shame on you for claiming otherwise.

Come on over to Millard Fillmore’s Bathtub, do a search for “DDT,” and get the facts. http://www.timpanogos.wordpress.com

I did not write the article. If you have an issue with what the author said you might talk to him about his views.

My own opinion is that what you said about the DDT ban is simply a twisting of the facts to salvage eco-activists badly marred reputation.

But you posted a link to the article. Don’t you think each of us has an obligation to get the facts right?

I think Steven Milloy does get his facts right but I cannot be certain about every single fact that he makes because everyone makes mistakes.

The article he wrote is well documented. If I did not think the article had any validity I would not have posted it.

Steven Milloy is a exposer of junk science. I certainly expect their will be opposing viewpoints from those who are pushing the junk science that he wrote about. Just Because they have a counter argument does not make them correct.

Steven Milloy could have his facts wrong. What I am saying to you is if you think his facts are wrong you really should contact him and correct him about that so he can correct his stand on this issue.

Your view might not prevail after you hear his defense against what you have to say. That’s the way it works in a scientific debate.

The study shows, contrary to Steven Milloy’s claims as a paid flack, that DDT is related to cancer. It directly refutes the last possible claim Milloy might make in favor of poisoning Africa.

But why would you feature stuff that self-proclaims itself as “junk science?”

Oops. Your original post came back up as a new one on one of my feeds.

Milloy is still wrong. In fact, on the issue of eagles, he’s a liar. I wonder if he hates all of America as much as he hates the bald eagle — their survival was dependent on getting rid of DDT. He claims that’s untrue. Not a single study supports his claim.

You can read about it here, at “Beating malaria without DDT”:

Which does not bring all the people who are dead because of the ban on DDT back to life.

Point being that there were no deaths because of the non-existent ban on DDT. Malaria came roaring back when the pharmaceuticals that had previously treated the parasite in humans, failed to work because the parasite developed resistance to the pharmaceuticals. DDT was never of any use there.
