To paraphrase Marx, self-centered sensuality is the opium of the liberals that keeps the masses subservient.”
Glad to see someone has Liberals figured out. Now knowing that, what good will come if Christian conservatives continue to give Liberals a free pass to ruin the world?

Brewton makes many assertions that are so extreme that it makes it obvious that they are ridiculous on their face. Liberals have no god but themselves; “only” the political state can improve people’s lives; For American liberals…there are no independent values, no right or wrong; Liberalism therefore is a one-way street headed toward tyranny.
Your parroting of such extreme statements therefore makes you a ridiculous caricature as well. Maybe SOME people in the middle whom you might have an actual chance to persuade somewhat of your concerns would pay attention to you if you didn’t exemplify extreme intolerance and distortion in every single sentence you spew or post from similar-minded individuals.
Don’t you see how much of a disservice you do to your own cause by engaging in such extreme rhetoric–extreme rhetoric that will have no effect on anyone other than the tiny percentage of people who also have such extreme views? What that really means is that you are making no difference. You are having no effect on the world. I suppose if it makes YOU feel better to blog and post such drivel that it at least has THAT value to one person (yourself).
If you DO want to have some actual effect on the world you would try debating people, and engaging in discourse, without needing to make/parrot such outrageous claims. Right–claiming that 50% of the population (you know, the 50% of the population that doesn’t agree with your views) is so stupid and/or evil that they don’t believe in God, private enterprise, or any independent values.
A simple example that I’m sure you will be able to understand: You’re a Nazi.
Now. I don’t believe you’re a Nazi. I just did that as an example to show that when one makes a statement as extreme as that, one is achieving NOTHING but enraging the object of the statement (that IS the effect it had, isn’t it? Enraging YOU and making you hate ME). Not participating in any meaningful discourse, not contributing to any possibility of solving the problems at issue, NOTHING.
I hate to disappoint you but I’m a far-left liberal who believes in God, thinks there should be a sensible balance between private enterprise and government, and has great values, thank you.
And by the way, rather than “Liberalism therefore is a one-way street headed toward tyranny.”, it seems far more likely to me that conservative and privatization-born outfits like Blackwater are more likely to be heading the United States toward tyranny. Especially when piled on to the other fruits of conservative rule from 2000-2006 like warrantless surveillance, loss of habeas corpus and torture.
Tom Brewton wrote a great article and since I agree with him on much of what he said you call me a Nazi and then rescind it. Many have exposed that Liberals are good at calling people these sorts of names so there is not much point in pointing out that you are confirming their views
By the way, Nazi’s are national socialists and you on the Left fit that mold much better then me. I would like to see very little government running our lives.
Actually what Brewton said is not extreme at all. What he said is generally the truth but he knows and I know that there are exceptions. We have to broad brush the Liberal movement or we could never take a position on it.
These are extreme times. the Left is destroying our society it is time for extreme statements against those who are actively destroying our society.
If I am making no difference to the world with my post then why are you bothering yourself with what I am saying? The facts are that outspoken Christian conservatives are making a difference in the world and that is why they are trying to hush Rush.
I am not saying we are winning the cultural war in America but if we Christian conservatives do not try to stop the slide into the Liberal run cesspool pool, then who will?
I do debate my views. right here on my blogs and in my writings on my websites. The foundation for my views are the scriptures. Once it is clear what the scriptures say about what most of what the liberals support there is little to debate further on. Either you believe what God said in his word or you do not.
I don’t think that 50 percent of the people in this nation agree with liberals. All polls say that about 2/3 of this nation is moderate or conservative.
I think liberals are about a third of this nation. Once a Jewish sage said that one third of the people on earth are basically good, one third are basically evil, and one third can be influenced either way. If that is true I am trying to influence that third that can be influenced to choose what is good. I am under no illusion that the evil people can have their minds changed.
It is very clear to me that Liberals do not choose to believe God or they would not accept abortion, sexual promiscuity, the filth on media, perverted lifestyles,situational ethics, brainwashing in the educational system, drugging our kids and every other form of debauchery. This is all coming from the Left not the Conservative Christian right.
I never said that Liberals do not believe in private enterprise. Most do and some do not.

You cannot read the header of this Blog and come to the conclusion that in any way that I would support National socialism and tyranny. One of the said purposes of the Blog is to expose the slide into this insanity. Which by the way, comes from the Left not the right.
I also do not hate you for calling me names. Love is telling the truth even if some will hate you for doing so.
You could be a liberal exception and be all the things you claim to be but that does not nullify what the Left is doing to this country.
If you are what you say you are why would you support all the things that the Left are promoting? If you do not agree with them on these issues then why are you defending them? You are not logical.
I don’t disagree that the erosion of our civil rights coming from “conservatives” like Bush can led to tyranny. I have been saying for years that we are just one or two WMD attacks from a police state.
What is wrong with your view is that Bush and those leading us into tyranny are not Conservatives at all. That is why true conservatives believe he has sold us out. The latest conservatives have turned out to be globalist socialists disguising themselves as conservatives.
A true conservative would be more like Ron Paul. He would go back to constitutional law and would not support the globalism and the globalist nation building. A true conservative would defend this country from all enemies foreign and domestic. Right now the chief enemies to this Union are domestic. However, we have to have a winning conclusion in the Middle East since if we just give up Iraq will become a terrorist camp.
The Liberal press and big special interest groups gives us two sides of the same coin to choose from in each national election. One side leads to socialism through more government social actions and the other gives us more socialism through big business policies and insurance actions the outcome is the same.
The outcome Liberal elite want is global socialism with a society of peons run by themselves. They will destroy all God given values to reduce us all to the animals that they really think we are.
