Bush renews Saudi Arabia as anti-terror ally despite concerns
US President George W. Bush on Friday renewed Saudi Arabia as a key anti-terrorism ally despite concerns over its track record and fears it is exporting extremist ideology.
The move by the US leader came just weeks after a top US Treasury official sharply criticized the kingdom’s record on combating terrorism and while the authorities considered a proposal to close down a Saudi-backed school outside Washington for alleged religious intolerance.
“I hereby certify that Saudi Arabia is cooperating with efforts to combat international terrorism and that the proposed assistance will help facilitate that effort,” the president said in a memorandum to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to free up aid from Washington to Riyadh”

“A little more than a month ago, the US Treasury undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, Stuart Levey, charged that Saudi Arabia had failed to prosecute the bankrollers of terrorist groups.
Levey told the US network ABC that not a single individual identified by the United States or the United Nations as a terror financier had been prosecuted by Saudi Arabia.”

Bush obviously knows that funding from Saudi Arabia keeps the terrorist wheels turning. The whole thing is a farce. Saudi Arabia is ruled by elite multi millionares and billionaires who persecute Christians, violate human rights, and support radical Islamic terrorists. Saudi Arabia is the key player that keeps the oil prices out of sight. So ,why do we allow all this? We apparently have a bunch of wimps in Washington that allow themselves to be blackmailed and held hostage by Saudi Arabia. Apparently they fear that Saudi Arabia can cause the crash of the dollar and crash the US economy. Bush is living in some sort of delusion that he can get these insane people to listen to reason. I already wrote about what we really should do about the price of oil.

As for Saudi Arabia. They need to be told to put a stop to all this nonsense pronto. Without the weapons we gave them, the princes will lose Saudi Arabia and they will have nothing.

Under my rules of the road it would not be wise for Saudi Arabia to be against us in any way. Saudi Arabia is not Afghanistan. In one week the US could put the biggest oil reserves in the world under US control with very little military effort. I am not saying that we should do that but they should know that we can and will if they continue to blackmail us, support terrorism and dictate Islamic Fascist war terms to us.
