The other day there was a study that said that any extra fat caused a big risk of cancer and I disputed the study as junk science. Today a major report says that a few extra pounds are fine. The reason for the contradictions is that funders of many studies just want a conclusion that will benefit them.

It really is just common sense that a few extra pounds will not kill you. Go to any place where there are elderly and you will see that the majority of them are slightly overweight. People survive illness better if they have some reserves.
