“The humans are taking their space!” What pathetic argument is that for heaven’s sake. No wonder so many environmentalists are inspired by Indian philosophy and religion. Now they have another argument for birth control - give Hanuman some space, people!
How diffirent this is from the biblical view that man is to multiply, inhabit the world and rule over it. Sure we should be respectful of animals and not mistreat them for they’re also living beings created by the same God as we. But human beings are not animals. Human beings are made in God’s image. Animals are not.
Unlike Hanuman and many other false gods in Hinduism like Ganesha, our God therefore doesn’t incarnate animals to speak to us. He incarnated only once, in a Man of flesh and blood that lived a holy life, i.e. without sin.
It’s no suprise one of God’s first commands is ‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image — any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.’
I hope Hindus will break free from the bondage to false gods and demons and their idolatry by accepting and worshipping Christ alone, the only ‘incarnation’ of the one and only God of Abraham. Then they will also get rid of the monkeys and cows that they erroneously venerate and are now terrorizing them in their own cities. What God would do punish his followers for worshipping Him?!
