Florida ’shoot first’ law helps gangsters - Telegraph: “The new law extended the so-called “castle doctrine”, which allowed residents to shoot would-be burglars, to outside the home with the intention of giving legal protection to victims who opened fire during hold-ups or car jackings. At least 15 more states have passed similar laws while others are considering doing so. But an unintended consequence of the law has been that those arrested after gangland shoot-outs have a ready-made defence and prosecutors are often reluctant to recommend charges. “

The problem is the gangs not the gun laws that allow people to protest themselves and their families from these scum. If gang bangers are shooting each other that is really part of the solution not the problem.

If gang member claim self defense when they shoot innocent people because of this law so what? That is why we have a justice system. The truth will come out and their fate will be decided by a Jury.

This law does not make gang bangers any more likely to have weapons. They will get weapons with or without gun laws. The reason police are being shot at is because gangs are gaining more control of our cities, it is not because of this law. It is a stupid apples and oranges argument. The law has nothing to do with the police shootings. Taking guns away from law abiding people is not going to stop the gangs it will only give criminals free reign.

If you really want to stop gang violence stop the gangs. They are a grave danger to America just like terrorists and they should be dealt with in the same fashion. If you need me to tell you how to do that, you are probably part of the problem.
