Israel launches diplomatic offensive to counter US report - Israel News, Ynetnews
Israeli intelligence disputes the report’s conclusion, Barak said, and still believes Tehran is still trying to develop a nuclear weapon: ”It’s apparently true that in 2003 Iran stopped pursuing its military nuclear program for a time. But in our opinion, since then it has apparently continued that program. There are differences in the assessments of different organizations in the world about this, and only time will tell who is right.”
Asked if the new US assessment reduced chances that the US will launch a military strike on Iran, Barak
said that was ”possible.”
However, he said, ”We cannot allow ourselves to rest just because of an intelligence report from the other side of the earth, even if it is from our greatest friend.”
That report should never have been released it plays right into the hands of the Iranians. Now Russia and China are using the report as an excuse not to put sanctions on Iran. The Democrats are using the report to make like Iran is not a threat and to demonize anyone who says they are. Israel is being forced into a military option where they will be condemned by the world or risk losing their cities. Israel Intelligence does not agree with our NIE report and their intelligence has proved to be better than ours.
Since when were top secret intelligence agencies given the right to subvert the foreign policy of the executive branch of the government? That is exactly what this report does. If I were the President heads would be rolling or from now on all foreign policy decisions will be made by consensus of unelected bureaucrats and the media. I know that leftists want to run government that way but that is not our constitutional form of government. All who took part in this coup d’état receive my Demented Delusional or Dumb Club of the week award. Iran thanks you all.

Is this kind of political propaganda what you pay billions of taxes for and call ‘intelligence’? I think someone should sue the State and Nanny Pelosi. Where is their credibility? Like you, I’m more inclined to accept Israeli intelligence over that of the U.S.
This report is the dumbest thing I have heard of in a very long time (apart from the crossdressing issue in Iowa’s public schools). I’ve seen recent pics of Ahmadinejad giving a speech upon hearing about this report from U.S. unintelligence and he was pretty much laughing off his butt if you ask me. No surprise. The report certainly would be laughable if only it weren’t for the seriousness of this matter.
