This country has got so good at getting undesirables off the street that we have the highest incarceration rate in the world. I am not saying the incarcerations are not necessary but the drug wars have created the militarization of our police with a us against them mentality toward all citizens. A eat dirt until your proven innocent mentality. Your big on the Constitution you know are forefathers would roll in their grave at any such thought as a national police force. But now with one word from the President all police forces will be nationalized. SInce when has there ever been a society that did not have undesirables that the authorities wished to clense from the land? In fact, this country (America) has only gotten better in this respect. Just think of the old establishments of slavery and religion where one could get strung up for what today is simply ignored. The drug war and all that it entails, is a function of peoples resistance to legalizing them.
