You make some excellent points although I think it is a bit cynical for the US, but certainly not for those living in the EU.

There are still enough mainstream Bible believing Christians and constitutional patriots in this country especially in the rural areas that they would support a secular TV network that tells people mostly truth instead of the leftist lying brainwashing coming from the four major broadcasting companies that control the airwaves today.

I am not saying that there is a moral majority any more because too many of those that once identified with that group have now been brainwashed by the national media. However, there is still a moral minority in this nation and some of these people have a lot of money. They could get together and start a fifth secular TV network.

They could start a network that would compete with the big four that they would stacked with conservatives (the present networks are stacked with 90 percent liberals). If conservative talk shows can completely own talk radio in this nation then why can they not even get enough support and sponsorship for one TV network?

What I am suggesting is a WorldNetDaily for the airwaves. The head of WND even denies being conservative but they do let conservatives speak and they do try to tell the truth and stand for morality. They certainly are not being BS and brainwashed by the Liberals.

If the moral minority does not even try to be a light of truth to the world then the salt has lost its savor and we will all be trampled down by pigs.

The people that are left and have not been brainwashed (if any at all) must be thinking their numbers are so small and insignificant that no matter what they do, nothing will have any impact on the direction the nation is going anymore. They remain silent because they know this is simply the natural course of history and nothing will prevent this evil from corrupting people's minds. So why waste your time and money on trying to restore a nation that is already willingly giving up on their constitutional rights and freedoms thus seeking to destroy itself? Nations arise, gain strength, they prosper for a while, then go into decandance and decline to ultimately vanish or be destroyed, paving the way for the next global player[s]. It's just another vicious cycle, a great evil that cannot be countered by military or financial means. If people are being told lies you can tell them the truth and hope for the best. But when people deliberately choose to ignore or flat out deny the truth, there's nothing you can do about it. It would seem that only a revolution or a coup d'état could bring in some change but is that really a solution? You can't force people to think for themselves if that's not what they want to do.

And how are you going to persuade people of your views if the Right cannot explain to you what Liberty means, why limited and decentralized gov't is necessary, why gay marriage is an abomination, why we need to preserve certain traditions and maintain traditional family values, why we must fight Marxism? I've tried to explain these things to many people before but most people just remain unconvinced. It's like talking to a brick wall.

And another problem is that unlike most on the Left, the Right hardly seems unified on anything. Neocons, Neoliberals, Neofascists, Social Conservatives, Liberal Conservatives, Classical Liberals, Republicans, Paleo-Conservatives, Nationalists, Libertarians, Objectivists, etc. All make their claims to Capitalism or having the correct interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, etc. It's almost like Christianity itself. Church A, B, C, X, Y and Z. All claim to be Christians but they can all vastly differ from each other. The "Right"-wing Objectivists call Conservativsm and tradition "irrational". They glorify egoism and declare Conservatism a collectivist, altruistic ideology. Fighting for your country is self-sacrifice and somehow a vice. The "Right"-wing Libertarians think traditions are irrelevant and everything can be explained on the basis of so-called "reason." They support abortion, homosexuality, prostitution - all of that is okay with them under some abstract interpretation of the U.S. Constitution. The "Right"-wing Neocons are authoritarian Liberals under disguise that are so obsessed with security and nation building that they have forgotten about domestic problems and the meaning of the word Liberty. Meanwhile some "Right"-wing Paleos are siding with antisemitic nutcases and critizing the U.S. for its involvement in the second world war. Very constructive I must say.

And we all know none of this is going to change unless at one point they have something important to unite on so they can for once forget about the philosophical nonsense and join forces to deal with the real issues.
