My guess is that you are more likely to die from spontaneous combustion than God is likely to destroy San Francisco. God doesn’t really hate San Francisco enough to destroy the city. However, HE is preventing the Giants from ever winning another World Series. Hope HE lets the Sharks win the Stanley Cup. You think San Jose is far enough away from San Francisco to avoid devastation? God should definitely destroy Oakland while he’s at it – the Raiders and Athletics really suck!

Jesus said that we would be hated. I can come-on pretty strong sometimes, and I’ve often prayed that God would help me to “hold-my tongue” (or thoughts) when I can’t contribute something edifying, and to help me to be bold and clear when I can. That said, if someone hates me, I want it to be because they hate Jesus, not because I’m being hateful.

We cannot stop the spread of sin in a world that will not believe in God’s Son and that is why God’s judgment will come. We can warn people to repent and accept God’s Savior before God’s wrath does come on them. As citizens of a nation Christians should try to change it for the better through good example on earth and through preaching the word and that is why we are called salt and light.

Decent folks should pray for FEAT (Francisco’s Earthquake And Termination). I left off the “San” which refers to sainthood or holiness because San Francisco is neither saintly nor holy. If someone insists on praying to some saint, he or she can pray to San Andreas that he will soon jiggle his Fault until San Fransicko has no more faults! Are you shocked or disgusted that I suggest that prayer should be directed towards SF’s destruction? To tell the truth, what I’m suggesting is a Biblical thought and I will explain. I Corinthians, chapter 5 refers to someone in an early Christian church who was guilty of a gross sexual sin. Paul the Apostle wrote that the other church members, all of whom knew about the sin, were wrong in failing to mournfully pray that the guilty one would be removed from their presence, that in fact they should have gone so far as to deliver him to Satan for the destruction of his flesh. If it was Biblical to go to such an extreme so that the “cancer” would not spread throughout that early assembly, it is just as Biblical and as much needed to pray today that the godless and dangerous “cancer” called San Francisco will be terminated so that it will not spread beyond its borders!
