Yes of course, he's a Liberal in conservative disguise! How could Conservatives have backed him in the first place? Okay, his current platform is/was better than Obama's and in view of Barrack Obama's background, it's understandable that you'd back McCain, but still he's just a Liberal. Same goes for several other Rep. candidates. Remember Mike? I don't mean to bash Huckabee, but what did his past as governor tell us? Not to mention the former Massachusetts governor who was running during the primaries.

I don't back Obama's platform at all and I think Americans made a bad choice, but McCain probably would have been more of the same. When I think of it Obama deserved to win this election more than anyone else because no matter what they say, he remained truest to his voting record and opinions than any other candidate. The opposition did not do its job - they did not unite to take a stance against Islam, they did not unite to oppose open border policies, they did not uphold a Constitutional alternative to Obama's proposals, they did not have a positive alternative to Obama's platform. They did not promote a good and morally just alternative to persuade people; they surely don't know how to market it and explain why Biblical values are a good alternative either, maybe because they've never thought of it. All they seem to have done is attack Obama on charges of being a Muslim due to his childhood. Which is completely insane and not even the point. It's his adulthood and voting record that really mattered.

McCain changed his stance on several issues for his candidacy. And quite frankly I was wary about his pick for VP right from the start. It appeared to me that was just for getting Conservatives to back him, and looking back on it the whole Palin hysteria/euphoria, it was quite laughable indeed. Its hillarious how easily you can seduce people - shows just how naive people can be, including yours truly at some points during the campaigning (luckily I began to see through it). Frankly I don't think I'd wanted to see Palin as U.S. president in the case McCain would suffer a stroke while in office and become unfit for the job either. You heard her opinion on Islam and terrorism? I knew enough when I found out about that. Women are not fit for command, heck I'd rather have a man even if it's Obama. Call me a male chauvinist if you want, but that's how I feel about it.

The GOP will need to return to its conservatism. If not, I hope it dissolves and its Liberal/Moderate wing joins the DNC or starts a Centrist Party so that a real Conservative Party can emerge from its ashes. As for Obama, I remain suspicious and I'm not at all happy about the whole situation... but for now, let's reserve our judgment until after his inauguration when things get for real.

The Republican party gave us a Liberal to vote for. Had they given us a Conservative to vote for the differences between the candidates would have been obvious making some people vote differently. How do Republicans expect to beat the majority party in the U.S. when they put up someone who ought to be in their party? When the Liberal media and big money influence the picking of the candidates that is the outcome.

Now that we have more complete results, it looks like NC is 50/50, and MT went to McCain (50/47) after all. Obama won Indiana (50/49) and Iowa (55/45) too. Missouri went to McCain but it's just 49/49. These were all states that voted staunchly Republican back in 2004, with the exception of Iowa.

Man, what a landslide victory for Obama. This is unreal. I didn't expect McCain to win, but heck I had never expected it to turn out this bad for his ticket. I thought at least it would be a much tighter race. Even Nevada, Montana, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Colorado and New Mexico went to Obama. So Obama the yes-we-candyman has clearly won. Let's see what's up next...

It is not about Obama being in office. It is about what the democrats pass as law and he signs. Don't expect people who disagree with socialist polices and radical leftist social engineering such as hate speech laws to not oppose them just because Obama is our President. That is not going to happen and I certainly will not support that kind of agenda. McCain is polling in the 40's because Obama has the support of all the major media who help poison the mind of people on the facts. Just today I watched a popular TV comedy that was nothing but Far Left propaganda. Also, Obama is getting four times the money to spend on his campaign. The playing field is severely tilted toward the left.
