Here are my questions: In 1970, when environmentalists were making predictions of manmade global cooling and the threat of an ice age and millions of Americans starving to death, what kind of government policy should we have undertaken to prevent such a calamity? When Ehrlich predicted that England would not exist in the year 2000, what steps should the British Parliament have taken in 1970 to prevent such a dire outcome? In 1939, when the U.S. Department of the Interior warned that we only had oil supplies for another 13 years, what actions should President Roosevelt have taken? Finally, what makes us think that environmental alarmism is any more correct now that they have switched their tune to manmade global warming?

Here are a few facts: Over 95 percent of the greenhouse effect is the result of water vapor in Earth’s atmosphere. Without the greenhouse effect, Earth’s average temperature would be zero degrees Fahrenheit. Most climate change is a result of the orbital eccentricities of Earth and variations in the sun’s output. On top of that, natural wetlands produce more greenhouse gas contributions annually than all human sources combined.

We need more people like Lord Christopher Monckton and James Inhofe? The global warming swindle is so obvious once you hear the facts. These gentlemen are of the few in politics doing anything about getting those facts out.

As soon as the carbon control freaks use disinformation to pass costs or taxes unto the population they should be sued. If Al Gore’s propaganda film is required viewing in schools or anywhere else those requiring it should be sued. The evidence is clear that they have no proof that man is causing global warming and it will stand up in court. In contrast, Gore’s Inconvenient truth film already got shot down in court as a pack of lies.

Al Gore will not debate anyone. He knows the information he presents is Junk Science. Lets face it, certain people are in this for power and money or they just insist on having blind environmental religious faith that man has to be harming the planet. Most other people of the world have been brainwashed by the media these people control. President Bush needs to invite Lord Christopher Monckton to the White House for a chat. Glenn Beck interviewed Lord Monckton (a former Margaret Thatcher policy advisor from 1982-1986 and a graduate of Churchill College, Cambridge) on March 4, 2008, and allowed him to state the following: “What happened is that I looked at Al Gore’s movie with mounting horror and identified three dozen scientific errors in it. So I had a weather mate of mine who takes an interest in these matters and also had the money to pay for a court case and I said I thought this film was rubbish. Two weeks later he rang up and said he wanted to do something to fight back against this tide of unscientific freedom-destroying nonsense, which is what global warming is really all about.”

To make a long story short Lord Monckton took the case to court because Al Gore’s unscientific movie was being required in all British public schools. Monckton won his court case. The court decreed that if Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth is shown, then “The Great Global Swindle” must also be shown.

Not a timid soul, Lord Monckton is also going after NASA’s James Hansen for being in bed with Al Gore both “politically and financially.” Both stand to cash in on their alarmist gospel (someone called it “garbage in and gospel out”), and the present-day Braveheart has written to the administrator of NASA, asking for a full investigation. If he gets the brush-off, he plans to appeal to the Office of the U.S. Attorney General!

Al Gore might think “the debate in the scientific community is over,” but he hasn’t seen anyone like Lord Monckton on this side of the Atlantic. Lord Monckton is presently placing catchy ads in American newspapers, asking Gore to debate him in public. As of this writing, Gore hasn’t responded. If and when he does, he needs to have W in his corner with a towel and a bucket of water. Senator James M. Inhofe will be in Lord Monckton’s corner with crumpets and tea. Stay tuned—this could be a rematch of a Joe Louis—Max Schmeling fight.

Government has created the cigarette smuggling problem. When government balances its budget on the backs of smokers because they are a minority and they can do it and still be reelected I would have no problem rationalizing buying smuggled cigarettes to keep these government bullies from robbing me (I am not a smoker). Government socialists who never seen a program they do not want to fund with our tax dollars and social engineer control freaks help create the crime syndicates through their tax polices and then they continually raise taxes to fight crime and warehouse the law breakers. Government has created a never ending spiral of more taxes and more crime.

The easy solution to cigarette smuggling, and its attendant activities, is to eliminate the confiscatory taxes. When governments try to balance their budgets on the back of mostly low and lower middle class smokers they themselves are creating the smuggling problem. When government adds several dollars to the cost of one pack of cigarettes they make it very lucrative for smugglers. So what did New York State do about the problem reported in this article. They just raised taxes $1.25 a pack this year to $2.75 to help with their budget shortfall. Every time the states or the Feds raise cigarette taxes they call it a win win situation. They say less people will smoke and they will raise more tax revenue. Obviously there is also a lose lose situation the governments do not tell you about. They are promoting crime and robbing poor people.

I do not smoke but let me tell you what I see going on. My observations are that when one in a couple smoke they both smoke. Most have a family income of less then $30,000 and some are on government assistance. They are addicted and they are not going to quit smoking because government raised the taxes. They each smoke at least a pack a day or 60 packs a month. At $5 a pack it costs them $300 a month. They do not have that much disposable income so some necessities are put off indefinitely. Often their children go without or they live in substandard housing, etc.

Liberal answers to all revenue shortfalls is more taxes especially on things that they do not like and their answer to social problems is to tax or legislate them out of existence. It has never worked and they should not then act surprised when their laws bring these additional problems.

One of the key issues, according to the report, is a potential flaw in New York State policy. According to King’s office, there is a policy in the state of “forebearance,” or refusing to collect on sales of Native American tax-free cigarettes to non-Native Americans.

Critics of the policy say it has effectively created a safe haven for smugglers. In some cases, the report says, a well-organized operation can buy cigarettes tax-free on New York’s Indian reservations and sell them at a great profit in the New Yock City area,

Gordon Brown’s nauseating globalism

Brown’s tedious, hour-long speech impudently demanded that we issue a “Declaration of Interdependence” in order to submit to global governance. That’s another way of calling on the United States to repeal the Declaration of Independence.

The redundancy of Brown’s outrageous semantics was oppressive. His speech used the word global 69 times, globalization 7 times, and interdependence 13 times.

Brown rejected the traditional concept of national sovereignty, which means an independent nation not subservient to outside control, telling Americans to replace it with “responsible sovereignty,” which he defined as accepting what he calls our global “obligations.” Hold on to your pocketbook.

Brown admitted that his “main argument” is that the United States must accept “new global rules,” “new global institutions” and “global networks.” Brown’s global rules include massive U.S. cash handouts and opening U.S. borders to the world.

Brown even slipped in an attempt at thought control: “Americans must learn to think inter-continentally.” He declaimed, “We are all internationalists now.”

Using the rhetorical device of inevitability, Brown warned Americans that his vision of the globalist future is “irreversible transformation.” He wants to “transcend states” and “transcend borders” as he builds the “architecture of a global society.”

Brown peddled the nonsense that the peoples of the world “subscribe to similar ideals.” He tried to tell Americans that all religions (Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists) have “common values” and “similar ideals.” No, they certainly do not.

Brown wants to increase the power of the United Nations to become the source of “an international stand-by capacity of trained civilian experts, ready to go anywhere at any time,” and even be able to exercise “military force.” Americans do not intend to cede such authority to the corrupt United Nations.

The silliest part of Brown’s ponderous speech was his claim that “a global society” is “advancing democracy widely across the world.” In fact, he doesn’t even practice democracy in his own country.

Can you imagine officials at a middle school, junior high or high school setting aside a day to promote “tolerance” for heavy smoking and drinking among children? How about a day where teachers encourage kids to “embrace who they are,” pick up that crack pipe and give it a stiff toke?

But that hasn’t stopped officials in thousands of schools across the country from promoting other politically correct and socially “in-vogue” behaviors that – both statistically and manifestly – are every bit as dangerous as the aforementioned frowned-upon behaviors.

That’s exactly what the homosexual activist “Day of Silence” is all about – advancing, through clever, feel-good propaganda and full acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle among children.

“[U]nder even the most liberal assumptions,” concluded the study, “gay and bisexual men in this urban centre are now experiencing a life expectancy similar to that experienced by all men in Canada in the year 1871. … [L]ife expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men.”

The risks associated with homosexual conduct are so drastic, in fact, that U.S. health regulations prohibit men who have sex with men, or MSM, and women who have had sex with MSM, from even donating blood.

Consider that, according to the Food and Drug Administration, MSM, “have an HIV prevalence 60 times higher than the general population, 800 times higher than first-time blood donors and 8,000 times higher than repeat blood donors.”

Adults and children who engage in homosexual conduct, especially males, are also susceptible, at an astronomical rate, to nearly all other forms of sexually transmitted disease (STD). For example, the Hepatitis B virus is about five to six times more prevalent among “gays,” and Hepatitis C is twice as common.

But perhaps most shocking are today’s syphilis rates among homosexual men and adolescents. A recent study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that although homosexuals comprise only a fraction of the population (1 to 2 percent), they account for an epidemic 64 percent of all syphilis cases.

In light of the irrefutable medical facts, it should be considered criminally reckless for educators to teach children that homosexual conduct is a normal, safe and perfectly acceptable alternative form of sexual expression (or “sexual orientation”).

But instead, the “gay” lifestyle is vigorously promoted in our public schools.

During DOS, children and teachers are encouraged to disrupt the school day by refusing to speak, in a show of support to self-described “gay,” “lesbian,” “bisexual” and “transgender” students. Kids are additionally taught that biblical truth, which holds that human sexuality is a gift from God shared between husband and wife within the bonds of marriage, is “homophobic,” “hateful” and “discriminatory.”

Our schools are supposed to be places of learning, not places of political indoctrination. It’s the height of impropriety and cynicism for “gay” activists and school officials to use good-hearted but misguided children as pawns in their attempt to further a deceptive, highly controversial and polarizing political agenda.

People are about to reap what they let the eco-nitwits start. The question that will be asked too late is why did most of the world support the nitwits junk science solutions to fix a non existent global warming problem? If people continue to allow themselves to be brainwashed and managed by these silly nitwit eco-loons, elitists and control freaks they will reap very negative consequences.

Food riots also broke out in Egypt, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Ethiopia. The military is being deployed in Pakistan and Thailand to protect fields and warehouses. Higher energy costs and policies promoting the use of biofuels such as ethanol are being blamed.

“When millions of people are going hungry, it’s a crime against humanity that food should be diverted to biofuels,” an Indian government official told the Wall Street Journal. Turkey’s finance minister labeled the use of biofuels as “appalling,” according to the paper.

Biofuels have turned out to be a lose-lose-lose proposition. Once touted by the greens and the biofuel industry as being able to reduce the demand for oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions, biofuels have accomplished neither goal and have no prospect for accomplishing either in the foreseeable future.

The world has an ever-growing population that needs more and more energy, but the greens are doing everything they can to constrict the world’s energy supply.

As the Sierra Club campaigns to shut down our coal-fired electricity capabilities, the Natural Resources Defense Council campaigns to prevent nuclear power from taking its place. The demise of coal-fired power and the blockage of increased nuclear power will increase the demand for supply constraints on, and the prices for, natural gas.

But then again, environmental advocacy group Earth First perhaps is helping to alleviate the looming natural gas crisis by campaigning against power plants that use the fuel. In a recent campaign against a South Florida power plant, an Earth First campaigner stated that the environment ought not be threatened “so that people can fuel their greedy energy desires.” “Just say ‘no’ to electricity,” seems to be the bottom line of eco-think.

Have you every heard of such an asinine judgment in your life? Don’t you think it is time for the people to find a way to get rid of these loony Federal judges? And why do school boards take it upon themselves to dictate these rules to their teachers? They obviously are controlled by anti religious people not in the mainstream thinking of America. So why do you continue to elect them to your school boards? Most of the problems in schools could be taken care of if those who call themselves Christians would just reign in their ultra liberal school boards.

A federal appeals court ruled a New Jersey high school football coach who bowed his head while students on his team led prayer broke the law.

The school concluded while it could not infringe on the students’ constitutionally protected right to pray, it could limit the actions of coaches, who are public employees and whose participation allegedly would violate “the separation of church and state.”

Very true, a hate speech precedence is being set for global tyranny. Government will then use the same hate speech laws created because of the fear of violent reprisals to end all proselytizing and to stop minority decent against laws of the elite ruling class.

Whereas schools used to discourage “tattling,” today they encourage students to report on each other, even while denigrating the individual in favor of the collective. Surreptitious identification methods ensure that youngsters’ opinions are tracked and monitored over time for political correctness, then linked with other potentially damaging family information, should an occasion arise down the road when it becomes “necessary” to demean a troublesome individual once he or she reaches adulthood.

Sacrificing many trillions of dollars of GDP for a trivial, 45-year-delayed and merely hypothetical reduction in average global temperature must be considered as exponentially more asinine than the dot-bombs of the late-1990s and the NINJA subprime loans that we now look upon scornfully.So who in their right mind would push for this?

I met many of them up-close-and-personal last week at a major Wall Street Journal conference at which I was an invited speaker. My fellow speakers included many CEOs (from General Electric, Wal-Mart, Duke Energy and Dow Chemical, to name just a few), California’s Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and the heads of several environmental activist groups.

The audience — a sold-out crowd of hundreds who had to apply to be admitted and pay a $3,500 fee — consisted of representatives of the myriad businesses that seek to make a financial killing from climate alarmism.

There were representatives of the solar, wind and biofuel industries that profit from taxpayer mandates and subsidies, representatives from financial services companies that want to trade permits to emit CO2, and public relations and strategic consultants to all of the above.

We libertarians would call such an event a rent-seekers ball — the vast majority of the audience was there to plot how they could lock in profits from government mandates on taxpayers and consumers. It was an amazing collection of pseudo-entrepreneurs who were absolutely impervious to the scientific and economic facts that ought to deflate the global warming bubble.

I do not agree with everything Frosty writes but I do see the hypocrisy in our marijuana laws. The same people who are busting people for marijuana are just as likely to be using it themselves in their own recreation time.

The costs to the nation of trying to enforce something that is not enforceable is huge. After over forty years of the DEA’s war on marijuana still over half the population of this nation uses it on one or more occasions and a significant population uses it regularly.

Millions have been imprisoned for doing nothing more than using a herb that is not anymore dangerous then many other herbs and substances that are perfectly legal. Certain people go to prison because they got caught while many high government officials and the rich and famous admit to the use of marijuana and are winked at.

It is police actions like this that fosters paranoia toward government enforcement agencies. The lucrative money in marijuana establishes illegal networks and gang wars over turf that get many people killed. These same networks then bring in harder drugs.

Marijuana laws are illogical. States cannot even agree on its enforcement. In one state it is a slap on the wrist to be in position of Marijuana and in another state it is a felony with a prison term that will ruin a persons life forever. It makes no sense.

They are using global warming hype as one of their main tools to bring in their Marxist agenda of global governance by the elite. If it were not climate it would be something else.

A retired physics professor became the latest public figure to debunk the myth of a “consensus” behind man-made global warming when he slammed big money interests for pushing climate change propaganda that was at odds with real science in a speech yesterday.Howard C. Hayden, emeritus professor of physics from the University of Connecticut, told a Pueblo West audience that he was prompted to speak out after a visit to New York where he learned that scaremongering billboards about the long-term effects of global warming were being purchased at a cost of $700,000 a month.

“Someone is willing to spend a huge amount of money to scare us about global warming,” Hayden said. “Big money is behind the global-warming propaganda.”

Miklós Zágon was a global warming activist and a physicist for NASA. He finds out the 80 year old greenhouse equations used in global warming modeling are totally wrong. So like a good physicist he corrects the equations and gives them to his employer. However, NASA would not release the data. So the scientist had to publish his theory in a peer-reviewed scientific journal in his home country of Hungary.

His data supports that there will be no runaway global warming based on CO2 increases.

This report is being downplayed because there is big money in the global warming business, not to even consider all the egg on the face of the know-it-all all big mouths who have claimed that the scientific discussion is over.

But not always.So Miskolczi re-derived the solution, this time using the proper boundary conditions for an atmosphere that is not infinite. His result included a new term, which acts as a negative feedback to counter the positive forcing. At low levels, the new term means a small difference … but as greenhouse gases rise, the negative feedback predominates, forcing values back down.

NASA refused to release the results. Miskolczi believes their motivation is simple. “Money”, he tells DailyTech. Research that contradicts the view of an impending crisis jeopardizes funding, not only for his own atmosphere-monitoring project, but all climate-change research. Currently, funding for climate research tops $5 billion per year.

Miskolczi resigned in protest, stating in his resignation letter, “Unfortunately my working relationship with my NASA supervisors eroded to a level that I am not able to tolerate. My idea of the freedom of science cannot coexist with the recent NASA practice of handling new climate change related scientific results.”

His theory was eventually published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal in his home country of Hungary.

The reason government courts are nationally cracking down on private instruction has more to do with suppressing alternative education than assuring educational standards.The rationale is quite simple, though rarely if ever stated. Is it merely coincidental that homeschooling was outlawed by the Soviet State in 1919, by Hitler and Nazi Germany in 1938 and by Communist China in 1949? Will California be next? America? Will we yield control and our educational rights as parents? Such would not only be an American travesty but a human disgrace.

Joe Farah thinks the ban on light bulbs is really just a government power play. I take it that he think that this is a trial balloon and if these fascists get away with total control over our light bulbs they will soon go for total control over our lives.

  substance environmentalists have been complaining about for years.
• Fluorescent bulbs are hideously ugly.
• Fluorescents don’t last as long as manufacturers claim.
• The light fluorescents cast is offensive to many, and studies claim it can be harmful to some.
• Fluorescents don’t come in all the sizes incandescent do.
• Fluorescents can’t be used in all places incandescents can.
• Whatever happened to choice?

When any person steps into a position that requires them to swear the oath of allegiance to America, they should do so soberly. The oath contains the words “I do solemnly swear to protect the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic.” Any organization that attempts to undermine the Constitution must be dealt with as an enemy. As long as American Muslims do not threaten freedom they have the right to their beliefs. If however Mosques are shown to be breeding grounds for terrorist and enemies of this nation’s principles, they must not be allowed to remain as staging grounds for subversion. These are perilous times we live in. People who want to come to America legally must realize that we have a certain set of constitutional principles. If they do not like our constitution they should go back where they came from.

Why American parents allow it it all, I will never know. The least you can do is keep your kids home on Apr 25th. That is the National Day of Silence used to promote homosexual perversion.

This is a great idea. Sue all the carbon hucksters who imposes carbon taxes or pay carbon credits that we end up paying for. I have said that when people start taking kids out of public schools in California that they will start outlawing home schooling like they do in Germany. The court basically said that parents or even Christian homeschooling programs are not state approved programs. The court has declared that home schooling does not promote social interaction outside the family, it does not allow state social nanny police to determine if the child is brought up properly and they say that home schooling will be emotionally damaging. In other words parent home teaching will be outlawed by these socialist Nazis.

When the next administration takes over you can be sure that this will be the law nationwide. I think it is time for parents in the US to say enough is enough. We are not going to allow government to teach their perverted crap to our kids. If they try to force it on us they should know that they will reap whatever consequences are necessary. If that means constitutional amendments or secession form the State or Union so be it.

Specifically, the appeals court said, the trial court had found that “keeping the children at home deprived them of situations where (1) they could interact with people outside the family, (2) there are people who could provide help if something is amiss in the children’s lives, and (3) they could develop emotionally in a broader world than the parents’ ‘cloistered’ setting.”The appeals ruling said California law requires “persons between the ages of six and 18″ to be in school, “the public full-time day school,” with exemptions being allowed for those in a “private full-time day school” or those “instructed by a tutor who holds a valid state teaching credential for the grade being taught.”

The judges ruled in the case involving the Longs the family failed to demonstrate “that mother has a teaching credential such that the children can be said to be receiving an education from a credentialed tutor,” and that their involvement and supervision by Sunland Christian School’s independent study programs was of no value.

Wake up America, nobody in the front running or in office have any intentions to finish the fence. When you get the next socialist administration the amnesty bill will sail through so fast that no one will be able to coordinate an opposition. After that national socialist laws will be passed to pay the social costs of all these new American citizens.

These companies are free to not use Microsoft products if they think the fees are too high. I don’t think we need regional governments dictating prices to software developers.

If science reports that there is no man cause global warming. It simply will not be covered by the major medias and the educational systems. Those in the scientific community who tell the truth will be marginalized or even fired. If there is evidence of global cooling like we seen in China and other places this year they will just blame it on Climate Change caused by global warming. The populations of the earth have already been brainwashed to believe all climate change is caused by the warming of the earth. 

The only way this thing will be exposed and stopped is if people learn to critically think for themselves. People who swear by the idea that man can affect climate - may drown in their own blood in a minute. The one factor left out is proof positive that elevated CO2 does not cause Global Warming. The debate is over. A good scientist can’t afford to miss this data.

If one looks at all temperature correlations and CO2 levels, there appears to be absolutely no correlation between the two variables. Granted, CO2 levels are at 370ppm right now–the highest they’ve been since 1850. But if one looks at the two above variables closely, the case can be made that the rising temperatures are actually responsible for increasing CO2 levels.

From the Scripps Institute (Mauna Loa), it can be seen that CO2 levels have increased virtually every year since 1850. But other sources—tree rings, ice cores, etc…, say that CO2 levels at earlier times have been more than 7x that of today.

Once this information settles in with “Global Warming” alarmists, two types will likely emerge. 1) Those that refuse to believe the actual data, and hold fast to their position because they don’t want to be considered wrong. And, 2) Those that will start screaming about concerns over the oncoming Global Cooling impact. That is if the other 17 known facts about natural causes of warming isn’t carefully considered as well.

D’Aleo concludes “Given the recent cooling of the Pacific and Atlantic and rapid decline in solar activity, we might anticipate given these correlations, temperatures to accelerate downward shortly.” Without CO2 driving climate, it is likely global warming alarmists won’t know what to do with themselves.
