A Democratic Party President, a Democratic House and a filibuster proof Democratic Senate would be the end of this nation as we know it. When are people going to realize that this secular humanist amoral Democratic party is not the Democratic party of our fathers? We would be a Left wing Fascist socialist nation in no time. Within a year or two they would have a liberal Supreme Court to uphold their unconstitutional laws and anything Obama, Harry and Nanny wanted they would get. The whole U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights would be redefined by godless socialists. By the end of term they will have changed media laws, they will have put into effect anti Christian hate speech laws and they will have made broad political changes that will insure that they stay in power. Somewhat like Putin and his Fascist people are now doing in Russia.

Even if they do not get their filibuster proof majority in the Senate it does not mean that we are out of the woods. If there is a Democratic President the scum suckers will try to change the Senate rules and stop filibusters all together and they will probably succeed. The only reason these bottom feeding scum suckers have not attempted to do that already is that they know that a Senate rules change now would not help them with a Republican President in office who would veto their bills.

So gee…nothing less then our Republic is on the line during the next election. So if you want to live under left wing Fascism you know how to vote. I find it simply unbelievable that so many people in this nation continue to vote for a national party that has not taken a correct moral stand on any significant issue in decades. Don’t you people even believe what your religion teaches? If not quit pretending! Admit you believe in nothing but how the government can give you a free handout.

Don’t count on being able to remove these bottom feeders in four years like some say will happen either. By then the rules of the political game will have changed and they will have muzzled free speech. We could even be under Marshall law. You will need a military coup to get the scum suckers out of office if that happens.

Don’t also count on the U.S becoming some Christian socialist paradise through the liberals passing huge give away programs and bailouts that this nation cannot afford. Take a look at what House Democrats (who aren’t burdened with a filibuster) unilaterally passed last year: The biggest tax increase in history; card check, which eliminates secret ballots in union organizing elections; an “energy” bill that lacks drilling; vastly expanded government health insurance; new powers to restrict pharmaceutical prices. Add to this a global warming program, new trade restrictions (certainly no new trade deals) and fewer private options in Medicare.

Magazine cleared of ‘bigotry,’ now facing 2nd hearing

A Christian publication already cleared by the Canadian Human Rights Commission on claims its reporting on issues involving homosexuality stem from “bigotry, discrimination and hate” will have to defend itself – again – from the same charges.

De Valk, the editor, said earlier, “It is chilling to think that a publication can be hauled before a government tribunal simply for reporting to interested citizens developments in these [homosexual rights] areas of controversy.”

WND reported earlier on the Canadian procedures that give human rights commissions virtually unlimited power to “hear” allegations of “hate crimes” and issue orders in those cases.

Already, a Knights of Columbus council was fined more than $1,000 for refusing to allow its facility to be used for a lesbian “wedding,” and before that printer Scott Brockie was fined $5,000 for declining to print homosexual-themed stationery. In another case Hugh Owens was fined thousands of dollars for quoting Bible verses in a newspaper and London, Ontario, mayor Diane Haskett was fined $10,000 for refusing to proclaim a homosexual pride day.

Officials noted the United States is not immune to such cases, either, after a New Mexico photographer was fined $6,600 for refusing to meet the demands of a lesbian to take pictures at a “wedding.”

Canada Family Action Coalition has blamed the situation on “bastardized courts” because activists who claim “hurt feelings” are demanding and getting penalties imposed against those who oppose homosexuality.

Wells has alleged he was offended by the Catholic Insight. Its editor, de Valk, said the claims are unfounded and the publication simply follows the teaching of the Catholic Church on homosexuality.

Catholic Insight reported that Wells’ attack on the publication is not his first. In 2006 he tried to close down several websites including concernedchristians.ca because of their Christian content, and he targeted Ron Gray and the Christian Heritage party because the political entity posted articles “motivated by hate” of homosexuals.

But all that couldn’t get Governor Christine Gregoire into a downtown Olympia bar.

She is not alone. The Washington State Liquor Control Board says it gets complaints all the time from people who are clearly of age but who still get carded. Spokesperson Jennifer Skoda says the state law doesn’t spell out who should be carded. It just says where there may be a question of a person’s right to purchase liquor, the person shall be required to present ID.

“The burden is also with the licensee to ensure their patrons are over 21,” Skoda said.

Todd Ruzicka owns the bar. He says he has no idea why the part-time bouncer chose to card someone who’s almost three times his age.

The more you learn about T. Boone Pickens’ plan to switch America to wind power, the more you realize that he seems willing to say and do just about anything to make another billion or two.

Simply put, Pickens’ pitch is “embrace wind power to help break our ‘addiction’ to foreign oil.” There is, however, another intriguing component to Pickens’ plan that goes unmentioned in his TV commercials, media interviews and web site — water rights, which he owns more of than any other American.

But wait, you say, Pickens is not a government entity. How can he use eminent domain? Are you sitting down?

At Pickens’ behest, the Texas legislature changed state law to allow the two residents of an 8-acre parcel of land in Roberts County to vote to create a municipal water district, a government agency with eminent domain powers. Who were the voters? They were Pickens’ wife and the manager of Pickens’ nearby ranch. And who sits on the board of directors of this water district? They are the parcel’s three other non-resident landowners, all Pickens’ employees.

Earlier this year, Texas changed its law to allow renewable energy projects (like Pickens’ wind farm) to obtain rights-of-way by piggybacking on a water district’s eminent domain power. So Pickens can now use his water district’s authority to also condemn land for his future wind farm’s transmission lines.

Who will pay for the rights-of-way and the transmission lines and pipelines? Thanks to another gift from Texas politicians, Pickens’ water district can sell tax-free, taxpayer-guaranteed municipal bonds to finance the $2.2 billion cost of the water pipeline. And then earlier this month, the Texas legislature voted to spend $4.93 billion for wind farm transmission lines. While Pickens has denied that this money is earmarked for him, he nevertheless is building the largest wind farm in the world.

Pickens has gamed Texas for his own ends, and now he’s trying to game the rest of us, too. Worse, his gamesmanship includes lending his billionaire resources, prominent stature and feudal powers bestowed upon him by the Texas legislature to help the Greens gain control over the U.S. energy supply.

I find this method of indoctrinating school children to normal everyday living being harmful to the earth with the “climate crime” connotation as distasteful and wrong headed. I have no problems with energy conservation, in fact I encourage it. But combining such advice with a “climate cop” idea is the wrong way to get the message across. Can you imagine what sort of reaction the neighbors will have to the kids hanging this door hanger on their front door? Will the result of this now be hiding your electric dryer behind false walls so the kids and neighbors don’t see it?

Every major police force in the U.S. is now being militarized. Part of the reason is the drug gangs and the terrorist threat but that also gave police forces the excuse and the money they needed to create their own army. When the “them” becomes the citizens you already have a local police state. That is now true in some areas of the U.S. but not in most rural areas. With one word from the federal government based on some perceived threat all these heavily armed local police forces will become nationalized and there arises the official big police state. Right now all the big police forces are in training for their future police state role that everyone but the sheeple knows is inevitable.

Much can be determined about your own police force by how they treat the citizens. If they treat you as if you are guilty until proven innocent, If you get thrown on the ground instead of questioned. if they just break down your doors when they could have knocked (with some exceptions), if a gun is pointed at you and you are unarmed, if they have road check points looking for anything they can find, if they pull you over for a minor infraction and then ask to search your vehicle, If they want to search your vehicle and the only option you are given to refuse is a vehicle impoundment, if they travel in packs like a gang, if they look like storm troopers when on routine patrol, etc. Then there is a good chance that you are already living in a police state.

Today, police departments across the United States more closely resemble an occupying army than they do public servants responding to calls for help. Police officers can now be seen wearing helmets and body armor and carrying AR-15’s, just to deliver simple warrants. Many municipalities are using Homeland Security grants to even purchase large armored vehicles. Barry Budd recently told the Associate Press: “We live on being prepared for ‘what if’.”

Our police departments now regularly receive free surplus equipment from the U.S. military, which they readily accept. The training being given at many police academies appears to be the type of tactics one would use in Baghdad, rather than Baltimore. It would seem that our police officers are being readied for war, with the American public as the enemy. In the last several years, there has been a transformation from community policing to pre-emptive assaults

SWAT teams were designed to deal with very violent individuals who represent a clear and present threat to the public. However, they are now being used to execute warrants on non-violent offenders and even those who have no prior criminal history at all. Turning our neighborhood cops into shock troops will do nothing but erode public confidence in the police and endanger the lives of innocent Americans.

Recently, Boston´s new police commissioner William Fitchet announced that the department´s Street Crimes Unit will begin wearing military-style black uniforms, to instill a sense of “fear.” At last week´s city council meeting, police Sgt. John Delaney told council members that the black uniforms would send the message that officers were serious.

Paul Weyrich makes an interesting and a strong point in this article. The courts do not have the power to make law or to enforce law. They are advisory and just decide their opinion of laws. The legislative branch of government does not have to take their advice to make laws that the people that they represent do not want. The Executive branch of government likewise does not have to enforce laws it does not agree with. If these branches do not abide by judiciary decisions they have only the people to answer to. Otherwise, those in the judiciary make the law of the land and all government is then ruled by judges. We then no longer have a constitutional republic.

Having said that, do legislators and government executives have the guts to say we are not going to abide by demented rulings of federal judges? However, also be aware that “we the people” can restore the checks and balances established in the Constitution whenever we want. How we achieved that is really up to the people.

The grand formalities of American election rituals hide a glaring fact: Americans can no longer claim that we are our own rulers in every circumstance in which we are empowered to be. Regardless of our votes, the defining judgments in our collective and personal destinies often are made by persons whom the American people have not elected to rule.

We gave judges their robes and gavels so that they might resolve specific disputes between specific plaintiffs and defendants. We never gave them authority to issue commands to our elected lawmakers, forcing us down roads which we have not chosen to travel. Judges have no constitutional authority to make laws or to amend our national and state constitutions. They have no authority to redefine words and concepts in our laws to mean what they and their ideological partisans wish for them to mean.

Not a single signer of the Constitution (or of the Declaration of Independence) would have taken seriously the purportedly “conservative” view today that to restrain judges we need to replace them through attrition over decades. That view, in my opinion, guarantees a victory of the far left because it implies that the judicial branch is the final authority on the law.

For the sake of this republic I urge my friends, fellow leaders and Americans emphatically to repudiate the devastating myth that judges have the power to make and redefine our laws. We should do so rapidly and forcefully before our republic is replaced by the irresistible tyranny of men and women who believe that nihilist elites should make the rules and pass them to judges for formal announcement when the time is ripe for the latest step into the post-rule of law, post-moral abyss. Otherwise our “conservatism” will continue to be merely the rearguard for subtle left-wing revolution.

The tragedy of how we have reached this point: in our desire for social acceptance and respectability among the anti-constitutional, anti-rule of law, anti-Christian, anti-family nihilist left, “conservative” elites have abandoned the core principles of our Constitution.

To consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions [is] a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. …The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with the corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots.

Alexander Hamilton was perhaps the strongest advocate of “judicial review” – the right of judges to opine on our Constitution. But an opinion on the meaning of the Constitution is merely an advisory opinion to the legislative and executive branches of government. Not even Hamilton imagined that the right to opine is a power to rule. Courts, he pointed out, intentionally have been given no means of enforcing their opinions, noting that the executive and legislative branches are not compelled to obey false or dubious opinions.

…If the policy of the government, upon vital questions, affecting the whole people, is to be irrevocably fixed by decisions of the Supreme Court, the instant they are made, in ordinary litigation between parties, in personal actions, the people will have ceased, to be their own rulers, having, to that extent, practically resigned their government, into the hands of that eminent tribunal.

In the last century cultural elites created an illusion of judicial power that would be unrecognizable to earlier Americans, lawyers and laymen. After the American Revolution, the framers of the Constitution rejected any judicial authority over the other branches of government.

Many of those with whom I have worked for years unwittingly are aiding the far left in the destruction of America. It is time for our presidents, governors, legislatures and prominent citizens to call the bluff of impotent judges as Jefferson did and to ask them, as President Andrew Jackson did, how they will enforce their impotent opinions. The myth of judicial supremacy cannot justify governors violating state and federal constitutions, their oaths of office and the sovereignty of the American people. Look at the way so-called gay marriage has been imposed by judicial fiat, running ruthlessly over elected legislatures and the will of the people.

Some well informed conservatives in the United States are sounding the alarm about plans to tax Americans for carbon emissions purported to cause what’s been dubbed, “Global Warming.” Adding to their fears of oppressive global climate taxation is a recent event in Canada. Read GPF on global taxes.

On July 1, citizens of Canada’s British Columbia began paying a so-called carbon tax for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The provincial government is levying the tax on most fossil fuels, including gasoline and home heating fuel. British Columbia hopes the new policy will cause people to drive less and conserve more energy, thus leading to a significant cut in greenhouse gas emissions that allegedly contribute to climate change.

In addition, according to Mike Baker, a political strategist who has studied the new Canadian tax law, citizens will be expected to pay taxes for wood stove and fireplace emissions, farm equipment, trucks, automobiles and anything else that utilizes fossil fuel. He predicts there will come a time in the not to distant future when even water and clean air consumption by individuals will be taxed.

“New ‘Gobal Warming’ cops will be hired to drive around the county looking for smoke coming out of peoples chimneys and write hefty tickets to those that refuse to comply. A goldmine of new found money coming to city and county cofers,” added Baker.

“If replicated in the United States — as Al Gore and others want — this will be one of the biggest power grabs in US history.

“It’s all about who will control the earth resources. It’s big government laying claim to the waters, oceans, lakes, forests, birds, animals, earth’s land surface, the air we breathe, the food we eat and the sky and space, as well as you and me!” said Joan Veon, CEO of the Women’s International Media Group and a recognized expert in politically-motivated scientific research. British government is already dictating to their citizens to stop wasting food.

Here you have Judge Thelma Moore (I think all her middle names prove something else), a local Fulton County judge stopping the building of a 2 billion dollar coal electric generation plant costing the county thousands of jobs. Aside from her misguided judgment on CO2 why would anyone let one county judge to have that much power over their lives? Why will they allow this judge to continue to have a job in this county when their own jobs will be taken away by her decree? When local people allow one person to have that much control over their livelihood they have given up their right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Going green (its real name is sustainable development) has led to Orwellian regulations resulting in the destruction of American businesses and the jobs that go with them, including manufacturing and industry; the locking away of American natural resources like oil, timber and minerals, forcing expensive imports; the near abolishment of private property, the bedrock of any economy’s source of wealth; and massive invasion of the farming industry to assure it is “sustainable,” including the mandated use of corn for the making of ethanol, leading to food shortages and higher prices.

Above all, the “go green” mindset has resulted in a refusal by political leaders and Congress to even consider anything but renewable fuels as a legitimate source of energy. Last year’s Energy bill, supposed to be the guideline for energy policy for coming years, literally made no mention of any kind of energy but alternative fuels like wind power, solar and ethanol. And the American people, buried under an avalanche of environmentally-correct propaganda, have blindly accepted the go green mantra, missing its connection to their economic woes.

At a time when the nation is facing an economic meltdown because of rising gas prices, oil use is ignored in the most important energy policy in the nation. Astonishing. As prices continue to rise, Washington’s response is “there’s nothing we can do. “President Bush says, “I wish I had a magic wand.” John McCain says “prices will continue to rise.” Barack Obama says “tax the oil companies,” as Congress begins a witch hunt on them, pledging the get to the bottom of their “excess profits.” Senator Barbara Boxer says “now is the best time to raise energy prices.” The Democrats want to “sue” OPEC.”

In all of this rhetoric, notice how NO action that includes the drilling of oil is considered. It’s taboo. Off the table. Suffer America, because the wisdom of the day is that oil is out. Alternatives are in. Go green! This, of course, completely ignores the fact that the U.S. uses oil for 85% of its energy needs.

Such policy is driven by the Sustainable Development lobby. Led by massively wealthy and powerful special interests like the Sierra Club, Audubon Society, the National Resources Defense Council and Earthjustice, to name a very few. With their dollars and lobbyists, they are forcing Congress to implement the policies outlined in the UN’s Agenda 21 soft law document. It pretends to be environmental policy, but is really a complete transformation of our society and economy to a top down control, leading toward global governance. The environment is just the excuse to convince unaware Americans to give up their liberties “to save the earth.”

What you are not being told is that the Left is opposing the development of the HUGE oil reserves in the U.S. and Canada through congressional legislation. The Federal government is now not allowed to buy oil sands oil from Canada but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Drilling on oil shale lands on Federal lands in the United States is illegal thanks to congress. Between the oil shale lands and the tar sands we have more oil reserves then the rest of the world combined and it can be developed at less than $50 a barrel. On top of that the democrats block off shore drilling and they are trying to legislate the shutting down of our coal industry. In fact, it may surprise you to learn that the number one foreign supplier of our imported oil is Canada, not Saudi Arabia. Canada is not only a reliable supplier of drilled oil and natural gas, but it also has incredible supplies of oil trapped in “tar sands.” At current prices, it is cost effective to “squeeze” that oil out of the tar sands and bring it to the marketplace. By every estimate, the oil in Canada’s tar sands rivals Saudi Arabia’s known reserves. Already that oil represents 47% of Canada’s total output and other countries, especially China, are trying to sign contracts to get it.

But if Barack Obama has his way, we are likely to watch that oil go everywhere but here. Last week, in a statement most of the media ignored, he called the Canadian oil “dirty,” and his top energy advisor raised serious reservations about whether the United States under a “President Obama” would even want the tar sands oil. And since Barack Obama opposes drilling for our own oil, guess what will happen to the price at the pump when we take the Canadian oil off the table?

But that’s really the Left’s dirty little secret — it doesn’t object to high gas prices. In fact, the Left see higher prices as just one more way for Big Government to control your life.

Now get this: Last year, liberal California Democrat Henry Waxman snuck a provision into the 2007 energy bill that prohibits the federal government from using coal-based fuels, oil shale and tar sands, all of which the United States and Canada have in abundance, in order to combat global warming. The United States Air Force is desperately trying to get this provision repealed since it immediately recognized the potential risk to our national security of another Arab oil embargo now that Rep. Waxman and his fellow Democrats have prevented the Air Force from using Canadian oil sands. It’s hard to fly planes if you can’t get the jet fuel you need. Efforts to repeal the Waxman provision are being led by Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) and Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), two outstanding conservative champions.

The launch of a new Government agency will see 11.3million people vetted for any criminal past before they are approved to have contact with children aged under 16.

But the increase in child protection measures is so great it is “poisoning” relationships between the generations, according to respected sociologist Professor Frank Furedi

As a result ordinary parents - many of whom are volunteers at sports and social clubs - now find themselves regarded “potential child abusers”.

Professor Furedi said most adults now think twice before telling off children who were misbehaving, or helping children in distress for fear of the consequences.

He said that the need for the checks had transformed parents “in the regulatory and public imagination into potential child abusers, barred from any contact with children until the database gives them the green light”.

From next year the new Independent Safeguarding Authority will require any adult who come into contact with children or vulnerable adults either through their work or in voluntary groups to be vetted.

In one example, a woman could not kiss her daughter goodbye on a school trip because she had not been vetted.

In another, a mother was surprised to be told by another parent that she and her husband were “CRB checked” when their children played together.

In a third example, a father was given “filthy looks” by a group of mothers when he took his child swimming on his own

He said: “When parents feel in need of official reassurance that other parents have passed the paedophile test before they even start on the pleasantries, something has gone badly wrong in our communities.

“We should question whether there is anything healthy in a response where communities look at children’s own fathers with suspicion, but would balk at helping a lost child find their way home.”

Figures show that volunteering is on the decline with 13 per cent of men saying they would not volunteer because they were worried people would think they were child abusers, according to a survey last year.

What does that mean? This is like telling a starving man, “You can’t eat your way out of being hungry!” “You can’t water your way out of drought!” “You can’t sleep your way out of tiredness!” “You can’t drink yourself out of dehydration!”

Seriously, what does it mean? Finding more oil isn’t going to increase the supply of oil?

It is the typical Democratic strategy to babble meaningless slogans, as if they have a plan. Their plan is: the permanent twilight of the human race. It’s the only solution they can think of to deal with the beastly traffic on the LIE (Long Island Expressway).

How do liberals propose we acquire the energy required for the economic activity and production that results in light appearing when they flick a switch? The larger enterprise involved in producing that little miracle eludes them.

Moreover, what was going on five years ago? Why didn’t anyone propose drilling back then?

Say, you know what we need? We need a class of people paid to anticipate national crises and plan solutions in advance. It would be such an important job, the taxpayers would pay them salaries so they wouldn’t have to worry about making a living and could just sit around anticipating crises.

If only we had had such a group — let’s call them “elected representatives” — they could have proposed drilling five years ago!

Don’t get me wrong; for all that this practical decision by the Supreme Court is protective of American liberties, the quiet war between a judicially activist executive branch and a judicially activist judicial branch is strongly indicative of total disaster in the long term. It is a clear sign that the limiting force of the U.S. Constitution on the federal government has been shattered, that the political system is no longer even superficially democratic and that the idea of America as a unique nation dedicated to freedom and human liberty is no longer applicable to the current United States. But the death of the American dream should not be confused with the end of the world; after all, the vast majority of historical humanity lived without ever having had any voice in its own governance.

So, enjoy the tattered remnants of your historical freedoms while they last. I worked for the Federal government most of my life. They somehow always form the conclusion that they own whatever they administrate. The people in this nation are going to have to tell these bureaucrats else wise.

They have no problem making the people pay for projects they already paid for because they actually think they own it and it is theirs to do what they want instead of it belonging to the people.

Even at the national level national land management agencies refer to national public land as “our land” and by “our” they mean that they own it. Most of that problem has to do with states advocating their state rights to the Federal government. Why did Federally administrated lands in a sovereign state become lands owned by the federal government? I know courts have now sided with the feds on these lands but only because the states established a precedence by not standing up to these federal government thieves long ago. Now some states like New York have totally control of almost all their lands and other states have lost control of up to have their state to the federal government. These states could not even remove themselves from the Union because the Government claims their land. Are we now going to see the same thing with U.N. biospheres?

People need to send a firm message that government bureaucrats are hired servants of the people. You do what the citizens tell you to do and not vice versa. Because if the precedence is set to keep selling the infrastructure that taxpayers have already paid for there will no end to this extortion by the Government Mafia of Infrastructure.

In the 1960s, the people of Florida borrowed a bunch of money to build a highway from Naples to the East Coast. To repay the construction costs, the state charged a small fee to each traveler who used the road. The idea worked so well that in the 1980s, they borrowed another bunch of money to widen the road to four lanes to meet interstate highway standards. The toll was increased to repay the construction costs.

The construction costs are now repaid. What should be done about the toll fee?

A. Eliminate it, since the debt is repaid.

B. Reduce it to an amount sufficient to pay maintenance costs.

C. Increase the toll for 50 to 75 years, to line the pockets of private investors.

The correct answer, of course, is “C,” according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

It will take a major rebellion by the people to prevent this gross injustice. The people have formed the Citizens Transportation Coalition to mount that rebellion. But it will take more than the people of Collier and Broward Counties to stop this money-grab by Florida’s government.

People in every state should be concerned. At least 14 states have now passed legislation that allows governments to sell or lease infrastructure for which the people have already paid. Every sale/lease deal of American infrastructure, whether to foreign or domestic private financiers, forces the people to pay again and again and again for the privilege of using their own infrastructure.

The elected and appointed officials who promote the sale of infrastructure know they are likely to be out of office when the toll rate begins to rise. In Indiana, for example, the deal negotiated required the toll rates to remain relatively static for the first 10 years, before rapid increases were authorized. Who can be held accountable then?

Despite all claims to the contrary made by government officials that they will protect the interests of the toll road users, there can be no lease deal that will not penalize the users and force them to pay again and again for using the road the road they have already bought.
