Canadian pansy attacks

No Gravatar

In Canada people are being brought before hate speech tribunals for saying something that just hurts the feelings of some homosexual. It is well known how homosexual queens wear their feelings on their blouse sleeve and it costs people a lot of money to defend themselves from these pansy attacks. So just what is just about this justice system in Canada and why would you want to bring it here by voting for a demented pro hate speech big brother control freak Democrat?

Magazine cleared of ‘bigotry,’ now facing 2nd hearing

A Christian publication already cleared by the Canadian Human Rights Commission on claims its reporting on issues involving homosexuality stem from “bigotry, discrimination and hate” will have to defend itself – again – from the same charges.

De Valk, the editor, said earlier, “It is chilling to think that a publication can be hauled before a government tribunal simply for reporting to interested citizens developments in these [homosexual rights] areas of controversy.”

WND reported earlier on the Canadian procedures that give human rights commissions virtually unlimited power to “hear” allegations of “hate crimes” and issue orders in those cases.

Already, a Knights of Columbus council was fined more than $1,000 for refusing to allow its facility to be used for a lesbian “wedding,” and before that printer Scott Brockie was fined $5,000 for declining to print homosexual-themed stationery. In another case Hugh Owens was fined thousands of dollars for quoting Bible verses in a newspaper and London, Ontario, mayor Diane Haskett was fined $10,000 for refusing to proclaim a homosexual pride day.

Officials noted the United States is not immune to such cases, either, after a New Mexico photographer was fined $6,600 for refusing to meet the demands of a lesbian to take pictures at a “wedding.”

Canada Family Action Coalition has blamed the situation on “bastardized courts” because activists who claim “hurt feelings” are demanding and getting penalties imposed against those who oppose homosexuality.

Wells has alleged he was offended by the Catholic Insight. Its editor, de Valk, said the claims are unfounded and the publication simply follows the teaching of the Catholic Church on homosexuality.

Catholic Insight reported that Wells’ attack on the publication is not his first. In 2006 he tried to close down several websites including concernedchristians.ca because of their Christian content, and he targeted Ron Gray and the Christian Heritage party because the political entity posted articles “motivated by hate” of homosexuals.

Obama for President? You have got to be kidding!

No Gravatar

Here are two pretty good articles on Obama. I think they peg him about right. He is a arrogant black liberation Marxist. If American is fooled by this half black arrogance they will see him rule over the demise of America.

How did America come to the place where they might even elect to President someone that was a drug abuser, a man with no national experience, a man that has known association with criminals and terrorists, a man that joined with a black theology religious cult for twenty years, a man who grew up among Islam and was highly influenced by Marxism who will not even show normal American patriotism in public. a man who confesses Christianity but denies it by every amoral stand he takes, a self professed pluralistic univeralist who believes that all religious lead to the same god, a man that will pass hate speech laws that will muzzle Christian free speech, a man we know will appoint people to the Supreme Court that will redefine our Constitution and Our Bill of Rights to mean what they want it to mean, and so forth?

Is is just because he can say “yes we can“? Well up to recently on oil he has said no we cannot and has shown himself to be an Olympic flip flopper on many issues. Or perhaps it is because he can say “change“? So is this the loose change that you want in the White House? If anyone remembers Jimmy Carter’s presidency, Obama’s will even make him look Presidential. Think of Obama, Reed, Pelosi, and a liberal Supreme Court running this country and you might think the U.S. became the first state of Cuba.

Obama thinks he’s better than you

The more I observe the great illusionist Barack Obama, the more I am convinced that if he is able to dupe enough voters into putting him in charge it will be the most entertaining presidency in the history of the office. Is there really any sane person who believes this guy would make a good president?

Forget for a moment the people with whom he associates. Look past the bomber, mad preacher, angry wife and crooked slumlord. They are merely distractions. Forget the lack of experience or substantive legislation during his short stint in the Senate. Just focus on his current actions.

When he takes the stage, there is an air of arrogance I have never sensed from anyone else in a similar situation. There is a tone of pompousness and entitlement. One gets the sense that Obama feels he is doing his attendees a favor for allowing them in his presence. His body language screams, “I am better than you.” His confidence is not quiet. His soaring rhetoric is accompanied by the dropping of the final syllable or vowel. His almost preacher-like twang is devoid of even the slightest shred of modesty.

Properly inflating our tires and keeping our cars tuned are not the answer to the energy crunch. Sending a $1,000 check to every American and sending the bill to Exxon is not an energy policy. Printing money to bail out banks and stop foreclosures is not the answer to bad decisions.

Government is not the answer to our problems; government is the problem. The sooner an honest politician declares so and puts forth legislation to shrink government, the better off we will all be.

Obama’s hissing

One of many sayings I remember from my grandmother is, “If the hiss doesn’t tell you it’s a snake, then the fact that it slithers on its belly in the dirt should.” And to that point, if the company Barack Obama has kept (read the dirt he has aligned himself with) doesn’t tell you he is a Marxist reparationist, then the words from his mouth, i.e., his hiss, certainly should.

Obama repeatedly told the NAACP, “I’ve been working my entire adult life to help build an America where ‘economic justice’ is being served. And as president, we’ll ensure that ‘economic justice’ is served. That’s what this election is about.” (”Barack Obama’s Stealth Socialism,” Investor’s Business Daily, July 28, 2008.)

“Economic justice” is just an oblique euphemism for wealth redistribution, i.e., Marxism – “from each according to their ability, to each according to their need.” IBD theorizes Obama’s intent is a massive transfer of wealth from those who have money to those whom he defines as poor. Worse, he views it as a global obligation.

If you swore to uphold the Constitution uphold it and do not allow domestic enemies redefine the self evident truths.

No Gravatar

It will be interesting to see how the liberal socialists will get by the First Amendment to the U.S constitution when they pass their hate speech laws that they are all but certain to pass under the next administration.

Ultimately the hate speech laws will be tested and decided by the Supreme Court on its constitutionality. The court by this point will be Liberal. The judges will then just redefine the Bill of Rights in the Constitution to what they want it to say rather than what it clearly says. Its already happened in the Supreme Court of California.

Once the Constitution can be redefined by a few people in black robes it will have lost its meaning and will be subverted. Then we will see tyranny right here in the good old U.S.A.

After those laws are passed and upheld you can be certain that the special interest groups will be monitoring everything that is said anywhere and turning anything that hurts their feelings over to the thought police for enforcement and punishment.

Then it will be time for the oppressed to overthrow this government tyranny or start a new free union of states that abides by the Constitution of the U.S.

As everyone who ever served in the military, government and police forces knows, you have already sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. We can read for ourselves what the Bill of Rights says and no redefining of the Bill of Rights is going to change the self-evident truths of the wording within those bills passed by U.S. constitutional amendment.

If the liberal progressives want to do away with our rights they need to do it by passing a constitutional amendment to do that but they know it will never pass. So, the domestic enemies of our system will try legislating unconstitutional laws and then stacking the justice system with like minded people.

If you swore to uphold the Constitution uphold it! Do not allow any MCcainiac or Obamanation government give us tyrants and thought police that will redefine the self-evident truths of the U.S. Constitution and its government of the people, by the people, and for the people!

Christian Worldview Network - Brannon Howse - Free Speech???

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” – The First Amendment

Perhaps the most important basis for a free society is the right of free political and religious speech. In every totalitarian society there is an oppression of these two foundations of freedom. Why? The answer is simple. Those in power who have a tyrannical motivation are afraid the masses may be swayed by ideas that are contrary to their indoctrination. Thus any opposing ideas become the weapon of freedom that must be stopped. The basic understanding of the power of free speech was recognized by our founding fathers as a deterrent to tyrannical government.

Due to this relativistic thinking problem the society is bending concerning these rights. That is a fact that should scare anyone who holds “these truths to be self evident.” The abridging of free religious and political speech is an affront against the liberty of all. Why is it a problem for all? It is a problem for all because once the freedom is gone it is gone for everyone. When a system turns to tyranny, all people are caught in its grip and become part of the totalitarian system.

Due to the insanity of the left, liberals, homosexual activists, and rabid race baiters, it has now become more acceptable to limit the freedom of political and religious speech. The idea that the government should have the right to punish people simply based on their thoughts and ideas is a complete abandonment of the Constitutional principles this nation was founded on.

Those who want the so called “hate speech” legislation are directly attacking one of the most sacred freedoms we have. The truth is that you have a right to hate me but you do not have a right to act out on that hate in any way that violates my person, property, or rights. You see, we must not legislate thoughts or we are destined to have all free thoughts at risk.

Those of you who are reading this who believe in “hate speech legislation” need to rethink your position. Who gets to decide what “hate” is? Do you want the government running around punishing people for what they say and think? What happens when someone decides that your speech is hateful? Are you ready for them to limit your thinking and expression? In order for freedom to work, there must be the right to speak unpopular positions without threats and intimidation from the government.

The first amendment of the Constitution says “Congress shall make no law.” How is it that Congress is attempting to make a law limiting the speech of Americans? How is it that so many people seem to think that this is a good idea? Why is there no outrage from the masses about this blatant attack on our foundational liberties? Why? Because most people have no idea what the Constitution says or why it says it. Most Americans have been dumbed down to the point where they simply do not grasp the principles of liberty that America was founded on.

It is clear what is really going on in the push for “hate speech” legislation. The left wants to stop preachers from preaching against homosexuality. There is also a Gestapo like insanity against anyone who would dare to criticize a racial minority. If for example a person is speaking out against affirmative action racial preferences, who’s to say that is not hateful? If my speech offends you, that is the price of freedom. If you do not wish to pay that price, I suggest you move to one of the many totalitarian states where your every word and movement are controlled.

Since Americans depend on government more each day the war against our liberty has begun. Some of us are fighting against the powers of tyranny. I hope you join us in the fight for the heart and soul of our country before the powers of socialism and liberal social decay completely overtake us. Wake up and smell the truth. The time to fight is now!

Homosexual sues Bible publishers for referring to homosexuality as a sin

No Gravatar

Well you knew it had to come to this. Just wait until the liberals pass their hate speech laws. I guarantee the time will come when certain passages in the Bible will be censored and it won’t just be homosexual passages. All sin passages will be censored and anything else that might offend someone and it won’t just be book publishers that are sued and arrested.

‘Gay’ man sues Bible publishers

A homosexual man who has a blog on Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign website is suing two major Christian publishers for violating his constitutional rights and causing emotional pain, because the Bible versions they publish refer to homosexuality as a sin.

Bradley LaShawn Fowler, 39, of Canton, Mich., is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and another $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing in lawsuits filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Press reported.

Fowler filed his claim against Grand Rapids-based Zondervan Monday, alleging its Bibles’ references to homosexuality as a sin have made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of “demoralization, chaos and bewilderment,” the paper said.

He filed suit against Tennessee publisher Thomas Nelson in June.

Worst Supreme Court decision in American’s history? Or what America says it fights for?

No Gravatar

Vox Day tells us why the Supreme Court’s recent 5-4 decision about detainees at Guantanamo Bay was a good decision.

I agree it was a good decision for freedom at the cost of more threat of terrorism. Nevertheless, why do we even fight for freedom overseas if our own government can take our own freedoms away without do process of law? It may be the 9/11 terrorist suspects that are at Guantanamo Bay today but it may be Christian speaking biblical truth tomorrow (”hate speech” “fundamentalist terrorists”).

The Christian choice that would restore constitutional freedoms whom Vox Day said was rejected by Republicans is Ron Paul.

Day’s last statement about those refusing to be warned is historical and prophetic.

Habeas is 9/10 of the law

the fact that John McCain recently described this decision as “one of the worst decisions in the history of this country” is reason enough for the most staunch Republican to seriously consider voting for the lightweight socialist mama’s boy that is Barack Obama. The Magic Negro would make for a horrendously bad president, provide the U.S. economy with a lethal injection of counterproductive economic policies and get American forces disastrously involved in African tribal politics, but at least he has shown no signs of wishing to create an American Gestapo.

Don’t get me wrong; for all that this practical decision by the Supreme Court is protective of American liberties, the quiet war between a judicially activist executive branch and a judicially activist judicial branch is strongly indicative of total disaster in the long term. It is a clear sign that the limiting force of the U.S. Constitution on the federal government has been shattered, that the political system is no longer even superficially democratic and that the idea of America as a unique nation dedicated to freedom and human liberty is no longer applicable to the current United States. But the death of the American dream should not be confused with the end of the world; after all, the vast majority of historical humanity lived without ever having had any voice in its own governance.

So, enjoy the tattered remnants of your historical freedoms while they last. And Republicans who despair as they consider their electoral options this fall should remember that they had the choice to nominate a man who pledged to work towards restoring those very freedoms, but they dismissed him as a lunatic and a naïve fool. From Cassandra to Jesus Christ, it is amazing how often the doomed choose to ignore those who warn them of their coming fate.

The First lady of Northern Ireland tells the truth and gets accused of hate crime.

No Gravatar

Hate is not telling people the truth about their disgusting abominations. Where are the real “men” in Ireland who will stand up for this truly honest first Lady?

Northern Ireland’s first lady accused of hate crime

Iris Robinson, considered Northern Ireland’s first lady as the wife of First Minister Peter Robinson, has been accused of “hate crimes” and is facing both a police investigation and the possibility of a civil complaint, according to reports.

A report in An Phoblacht, an online political weekly in Ireland, said Robinson had been invited onto the BBC Radio Ulster’s “The Stephen Nolan Show” to talk about a recent physical assault on a homosexual by a team of thugs described by the reporter as “gay-bashing.”

She condemned the violence, then described homosexuality as “disgusting, nauseous, shamefully wicked and vile,” and said, “It’s an abomination.”

Now, the report said, a government agency has confirmed it is investigating complaints that have been filed against her, and one homosexual activist said he’s contacted a lawyer about the situation.

On the radio program, Robinson said, “Homosexuality is not natural. My Christian beliefs tell me that it is an abomination and that is very clear. It is an offense to God, and offensive act and something God abhors.”

The report said she continued, “I am clearly not saying that I want people to thrash the living daylights out of a homosexual.”

She went on to urge homosexuals to seek psychiatric counseling, because of the success of various programs that offer to help them re-focus their sexual lifestyles.

“I have a lovely psychiatrist who works with me in my office trying to turn homosexuals away from what they are engaged in,” she said. “I’m happy to put any homosexuals in touch with this gentleman. I have met people who have turned around and become heterosexual. They are married and having families.”

The abuse of power through bureaucratic decree

No Gravatar

Joe Farah sees the danger in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services making bureaucratic decisions to take kids away from their mothers.

It is not just happening in Texas either. Today in the news we also hear a story of thousands of parents listed as child abusers in Illinois that cannot get off the list but they never did any wrong.

The question is asked in this article can the Child Protective Agencies come in and take away the kids of millions of parents who are not bringing up their kids according to government standards? The answers is yes, if the want to. The burden of proof they need to take your kids away is very low and just one accusation by anyone can see your kids taken away.

It is ironic that in a nation where you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty by a court of law that low level government employees can make snap decisions and act as if you are guilty until you can prove you are innocent at great expense to yourself, and often it is not even possible to prove that you are innocent.

This abuse is not only going on just in the area of child protective services. It is a plague and it is about to get worse. Soon people will be charged under subjective hate speech laws.

If this trend toward bureaucratic decree continues in the United States what will be the point of even having a Constitution and Bill of Rights? We will be living under the tyranny of minimally trained control freaks like at the airports.

But just remember when they come for you that they are obtaining these unconstitutional powers because you are letting your elected representatives pass laws that allow them to have this power over you.

Abuse of power in Texas

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, a misnamed bureaucracy if ever there was one, has demanded the children seized by the state and placed in foster care be immunized immediately against the wishes of their mothers, who fear negative effects.

Ahh, but those mothers are no longer mothers, explains Patrick Crimmins, spokesman for the department.

“We’re the legal parents of the children and we would like for them to be immunized,” he said.

Now, I’m the first to recognize the mothers in this case have made some objectively poor decisions about their lives. However, does anyone really believe Crimmins and his state bureaucrats really care more for these children than do their mothers? How have these mothers abrogated their parental rights? What crime have they committed? With what are they being charged? Why are they losing custody of their children? Have these children been abused or neglected? All of them? How?

All the public has heard since the raid on the compound is that the children seem to be in good health. Questions were raised by early pregnancies among some of the girls. I have news for you: Teenage girls are getting pregnant and having sex with older men throughout American society today. If these mothers are going to lose custody of their children as a result of that kind of sexual activity, what about the high percentages of teen pregnancies in our inner cities? Can we expect Texas and the other states soon to begin seizing millions of kids – both girls and boys in those families?

This situation in Texas is looking more and more like a heavy-handed abuse of power by government.

Is the state trying to make an example of these parents? Are all the parents being punished collectively for the crimes of a few? Is that the new American way?

When I hear a government bureaucrat claim to be the parents of children he has never met, it sets me off.

It is an explosive statement.

It is the kind of offensive and officious statement that will only serve to create more fear and distrust of government – frankly, the very conditions that lead to the creation of compounds like the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Obama’s hate speech against biblical morality

No Gravatar

Here you have it from the horses own mouth. Obama will support repealing the Defense of Marriage Act, open homosexuality in the military and hate speech laws.

That means everyone will have to recognize homosexual marriage and government and businesses will have to give benefits to help support their perverted lifestyle and will not even be allowed to complain about it. Americans will have to hire homosexuals for even religious positions and keep their mouth shut about biblical morality. You certainly will not be allowed to tell the pagans that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

If this man is the leading contender for President what does it say about America? If he gets elected, America will actually divide, not unite.

I can just see it now…. Gay pride military parades on Veterans day and when anyone protests they will be arrested by cops in drag for hate speech. If your not getting the message that the world is increasingly going insane it is not my fault.  If you do nothing about it you will have to live with it.

Obama promises ‘gays’ ’strongest possible bill’

Along with repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and implementing “fully inclusive laws outlawing hate crimes, he says, it’s important to bring “the message of LGBT equality to skeptical audiences as well as friendly ones, and that’s what I’ve done throughout my career.”

Big Brother is setting up new hate speech rules to rule the world

No Gravatar

Very true, a hate speech precedence is being set for global tyranny. Government will then use the same hate speech laws created because of the fear of violent reprisals to end all proselytizing and to stop minority decent against laws of the elite ruling class.

There is no way to stop this because these people do not answer to the people of the world. The only way the U.S. can temporarily not come under what they are setting up is to get out of these world organizations. Fat chance!

FrontPage Magazine

Will it soon be illegal to speak about the use that Islamic jihadists make of Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism? If it is, the only ones who will benefit will be the jihadists themselves – advancing the jihadist agenda far more effectively than riots ever could alone. The demonstrations on the one hand and the calls to limit free speech on the other neatly coalesce into a carrot-and-stick strategy. The message to the West is that speech about Islam that the Islamic world dislikes could lead to violent reprisals – but if the West heeds the voice of reason and clamps down on free speech and free inquiry, this violence will melt away. It is a message that all too many Leftist, appeasement-minded European and American leaders will find quite enticing. And that could be the most serious threat of all to our survival as a free people.

Putting down white people for the black advancement of a few.

No Gravatar

These race baiting leaders love putting down people with different skin colors. It puts them in the limelight. You can always find a following if you speak hate to those with bigoted ears. That is exactly what they the Wrights of the world do. Obama should know the spiritual source of hate but obviously he has a spiritual discernment problem and really wanted that radical support base to help launch his political career?

How can Obama lead the free world if after twenty year he still cannot lead himself out of a church that dwells on a gospel of hate.

OK, Obama, let’s have the race ‘talk’

“You really like putting down white people,” I continued. “What, is this some sort of payback for slavery?”We argued into the night. I saw an America full of promise and hope, and she saw only barriers with little sign of improvement.

Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, similarly seems downright joyful in attacking America, blaming the government for AIDS and drugs, and attributing the Islamofascist attacks of 9/11 to America’s racism.

Obama’s pastor’s views reflects a certain racist segment of blacks in America

No Gravatar

There is no question that there is a minority segment of blacks in this nation who blame whites for everything just like Pastor Wright. I am sure his church attracted all in the area that wanted a pastor expressing their own hate. The real question is why would Americans elect to President someone who identifies with a racist hate Church and a hate pastor. To say this is the black culture is only true if you are part of that minority segment of the black culture. There is a larger black culture that does not hate so why not join with them? Why identify with the radicals unless you identify with them?

Even Obama’s agenda shows hate for the unborn. His Marxist like socialism shows his hate for the American system where people succeed through their effort and hard work and not by government preference programs and quotas.

Frankly, blacks today get preferences over whites in everything. If there is any anger coming from whites today against blacks it is not because of there skin shade. It is because many are handed opportunities that they never worked for or that are unavailable to whites. Other blacks have rejected civil society and they embrace a criminal counterculture that is destroying society. Still other blacks put in leadership positions those who are obviously racists.

Throw grandma under the bus

We treat blacks like children, constantly talking about their temper tantrums right in front of them with airy phrases about black anger. I will not pat blacks on the head and say, “Isn’t that cute?” As a post-racial American, I do not believe “the legacy of slavery” gives black people the right to be permanently ill-mannered.Obama tried to justify Wright’s deranged rants by explaining that “legalized discrimination” is the “reality in which Rev. Wright and other African-Americans of his generation grew up.” He said that a “lack of economic opportunity among black men, and the shame and frustration that came from not being able to provide for one’s family, contributed to the erosion of black families.”

That may accurately describe the libretto of “Porgy and Bess,” but it has no connection to reality.

Activist finned and banned for life from criticizing homosexuality

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Activist ‘banned for life’ from criticizing homosexuality: “A lifetime ban on public criticism of homosexuality was upheld against a Catholic activist in Canada by his province’s superior court.
Bill Whatcott was fined 17,500 Canadian dollars by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission in a complaint by four homosexuals who charged he ‘injured’ their ‘feelings’ and ’self respect’ in pamphlets denouncing the ‘gay lifestyle’ as immoral and dangerous, Lifesite News reported.”

They are now persecuting Christians in Canada for telling Homosexuals that they live an immoral and dangerous lifestyle. Its obvious that is it immoral and the danger of homosexuality have been scientifically proved. If you do nothing here the same thing will happen as soon as they pass the hate speech law. All they need to pass it is for a Democrat or Liberal President to be elected. Don’t think for a minute that homosexual activists will not be active in trying to locate and have prosecuted those that “injure their dainty feelings”.

‘Hate crimes’ critics alarmed over coming vote

WorldNetDaily: ‘Hate crimes’ critics alarmed over coming vote: “Congressional Quarterly is reporting a defense reauthorization bill could come up for a vote as early as today, with a ‘hate crimes’ provision that would apply penalties for politically incorrect ‘thoughts’ still attached. So a family organization is urging people to call their representatives to express their concern. “

“Tell them it should be removed because the provision is not germane to the national defense of this country. Most importantly, tell them that the provision should be removed because it runs counter to our country’s bedrock principles of free speech and thought.”

There they go again. They will stoop to any level to pass hate crime legislation through the back door.

Bill Sizemore — Senator Gordon Smith’s Frightening Hate Crimes Bill: “Oregon’s junior U.S. Senator, Gordon Smith, is pressing hard for adoption of federal hate crimes legislation. Among other things, Smith’s bill would increase criminal penalties for a crime when it is determined that the person committing the crime was thinking bad thoughts about the sexual orientation of the person he or she harmed. As we shall see in a moment, Smith’s bill would make Thomas Jefferson roll over in his grave. “

Canadian party leader accused of hate speech

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Party leader in hot water over WND storyA Canadian political party leader’s posting of a WND article on homosexuality has brought him before the country’s Human Rights Commission to face accusations he was motivated by “hate and defamation.”
Ron Gray of the Christian Heritage Party says he’s been told directly by an employee of the Human Rights Commission that the Canadian Human Rights Act, under which he is being accused, is “about censorship,” according to a report by WND columnist Tristan Emmanuel, who heads the Canada-based activist group ECP Centre
Two of the three complaints filed by Edmonton man Rob Wells relate to the posting of an April 2002 WND story titled “Report: Pedophilia more common among ‘gays.’”

“Emmanuel commented that the accusations “are more evidence of how far militant homosexuals will go to shut down any form of dissent in Canada.”
“The only reason these people are getting away with it is because there’s not enough of an outcry from the common folk in Canada saying: ‘Enough!,”

If we get hate speech laws here the same thing is going to happen. You will not be able to even tell the truth without being constantly accused and having the expensive of being brought before the courts. Those minorities covered by hate laws will in effect be given the power to put a muzzle on all society.

Court strikes down state’s ‘hate crimes’

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Court strikes down state’s ‘hate crimes’: “Although the Christians who had been giving their testimony on public property later had their charges dismissed, they had been threatened with up to five decades in jail. They then challenged the law itself, suing over its adoption, and the 4-1 decision in the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court said the amendments enacted in 2002 were unconstitutional. ‘This is a victory for constitutional government, so let us be thankful,’ Marcavage said. “

Don’t celebrate too much. The ruling is just on the changing of a bill in the course of its passage. So the content of the hate law will be back.

The Return of the Thought Police

No Gravatar

OpinionJournal - Featured Article: “The Return of the Thought Police ‘Hate crime’ legislation is an assault on civil liberties.”

“Is it necessary or fair to expand federal criminal jurisdiction to allow for dual federal and state prosecutions of alleged hate crimes? Arguably–if strong empirical evidence demonstrates that states are generally unwilling or unable to prosecute these crimes. Otherwise federal hate-crime legislation addresses an illusory threat to civil rights, while it exacerbates an actual crisis for civil liberty.

The continuing expansion of federal criminal jurisdiction has given federal law enforcement officials unprecedented power over each of us. As Gene Healy of the Cato Institute has observed, the federal criminal code is so vast and comprehensive that it enables prosecutors to “pick targets they think they should get rather than offenses that need to be prosecuted.” Mr. Healy estimates that about 4,000 crimes are “scattered throughout the tens of thousands of pages of the United States code,” stressing that the exact increase in federal crimes has been difficult to track. One frequently cited 1999 study by the American Bar Association noted that 40% of all federal criminal laws enacted after the Civil War dated back only to 1970.”

How to get morons off the Net

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: How to get morons off the Net: “There is not one good reason for any website, left or right, or non-political, to allow people to avoid identifying themselves. Anyone interested in serious political discourse, or in merely lowering the hate levels in our country, should welcome the banning of anonymous postings. “

That certainly is a rather moronic statement. There is a very good reason for anonymous posting or alias posting. First of all, not all governments allow free speech. We cannot even be sure that free speech will be allowed in this country much longer. Suppose the government passes hate speech laws and then searches for any comment that falls within their new demented hate laws? Suppose citizen action groups look for people to turn into the government or sue them? Suppose law suits are enacted against people who hurt other people’s feeling with their comments? Suppose employers will not hire you until they do a search on the Internet on your name to see everything you ever said about anything? Etc. The way to stop morons on the Net is for the administrator of the website or Blog to delete comments that are not appropriate.

New law means anti-gay comments could lead to seven years in jail

No Gravatar

New law means anti-gay comments could lead to seven years in jail the Daily Mail
Stirring up hatred against homosexuals is to become a serious crime punishable with a seven-year jail sentence under a law announced last night.
The legislation - similar to laws already in force outlawing persecution on religious or racial grounds - will make criminals of those who express their views in ways that could lead to the bullying or harassment of gays.
The maximum sentence is longer than the average of around five years handed to rapists.
