The Dark Side of Hillary Clinton’s Health Care Plan

FOXNews.com – The Dark Side of Hillary Clinton’s Health Care Plan – Blogs: “The public face of Hillary Clinton’s new health care plan is sunny, filled with choices for consumers and bright with promises for better health care for all. But a close examination of the proposal alongside other initiatives of Sen. Clinton in the past few years reveals a dark side she wants to hide from public view until after the election is over.”

With that title are you implying that Hillary really is Darth Vader of the Dark Side and not the Vice President as she claimed? I guess Dick Morris has inside knowledge since He worked with the Clinton’s.

Hillary’s health plan is socialistic and oppressive. Since she says it is 100 percent her plan what does that say about her?

Patients without Doctors: The Flawed Plan of Governor Schwarzenegger

No Gravatar

American Thinker: Patients without Doctors: The Flawed Plan of Governor Schwarzenegger: “California physician participation in Medi-Cal is the lowest of any State-sponsored program in the United States. Medi-Cal payments to California physicians rank 49th in the country. The rates are based on 1969 data, with only a single increase in 20 years. Because Medi-Cal reimbursement is often less than the cost of keeping a doctor’s office open during the visit (e.g., $24 for a consultation with a Breast Cancer Surgeon, $253 for a two-hour breast-preserving cancer operation and 90 days of care that follows), accepting Medi-Cal destroys the viability of California medical practices. In order to keep their doors open, the vast majority of California doctors must refuse or severely limit the number of Medi-Cal patients they accept. Under the current system, nearly 60% of patients in the Medi-Cal program report significant difficulty finding a doctor. Wait times are long, particularly for specialists and mental health professionals.”

There is no free lunch. If they pay less than what is required for medical offices to make a profit they cannot and will not not keep subsidizing these people. If you force them to treat people below their costs they will go out of business or hire less trained nurse practitioners and the doctors will go elsewhere. You will then have patients without real doctors and substandard medical care. The moral of the story is that a steroid popping body builder is not likely to come up with any safe and sound solition to medical care.

Is there a trial lawyer in the house? Ann Coulter

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Is there a trial lawyer in the house?: “In college, my roommate was in the chemistry lab Friday and Saturday nights while I was dancing on tables at the Chapter House. A few years later, she was working 20-hour days as a resident at Mount Sinai doing liver transplants while I was frequenting popular Upper East Side drinking establishments. She was going to Johns Hopkins for yet more medical training while I was skiing and following the Grateful Dead. Now she vacations in places like Rwanda and Darfur with Doctors Without Borders while I’m going to Paris.

Has anyone else noticed the nonexistence of a charitable organization known as ‘Lawyers Without Borders’?

She makes $380 for an emergency appendectomy, or one-ten-thousandth of what John Edwards made suing doctors like her, and one-fourth of what John Edwards’ hairdresser makes for a single shag cut. Edwards made $30 million bringing nonsense lawsuits based on junk science against doctors. To defend themselves from parasites like Edwards, doctors now pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical malpractice insurance every year. “

Nice work Ann. You compared doctors and lawyers quite aptly in the article. People do not realize that the average Doctor of Philosophy in the Government makes as much as a Family Practice Doctor. The Family practice doctor had to work at least 3 more years for slave wages as an intern and resident. Government bureaucrats do little additional training, while a Family Practice Doctor has to do continuing medical education each year often on their own time and money. As you indicated, many doctors do charity work as well, on their own dime. When was the last time you seen a Government bureaucrat taking two weeks unpaid leave and pay for a trip themselves to go help people with their skills in another nation? Most physicians are generally underpaid in this country for the educations they have, the hours they work and the responsibility they have.

Looking at HillaryCare

Looking at HillaryCare – HUMAN EVENTS: “He points to two problems( in addition to the philosophical objection that government should not force citizens on penalty of fine to carry insurance). First, he notes that in practice it has not worked well. In Massachusetts for example 20% of individuals were immediately exempted from the coverage requirements and despite threats of fines fewer people than expected are signing up, opting instead to pay the fines. Second, you need “ a huge bureaucracy” to track every citizen, determine whether they have coverage and whether their plan meets the government’s minimum requirements, and then “punish them” if they don’t have a government approved healthcare plan.”

Does anyone really want Big Sister forcing you to get health insurance like it was auto insurance? That is exactly what Hillary herself uses as an example. Each year you will have to prove to the government that you are insured or else! You might even lose your citizen privileges like a felon.

Be Healthy or Else!

Be Healthy or Else! – The Ayn Rand Institute – Sep 11, 07: “a Tory panel in Britain suggested that, in order to control the spiraling costs of its socialized health-care system, Britons should be forced to adopt a government-prescribed ‘healthy lifestyle’ or else be denied certain medical treatments. Britons who improve their health by, for example, quitting smoking or losing weight would receive ‘Health Miles’ that could be used to purchase vegetables or pay for gym memberships. ‘These proposals are the reductio ad absurdum of nanny-state paternalism,’ said Dr. Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute. ‘According to these politicians, instead of having a government that protects our right to live our own lives, we are to be treated like incompetent children who need someone to force us to visit the doctor and eat our veggies.”

If the Brits allow Nanny to monitor their every function they obviously are not mature adults.

You’re In Bad Hands With Nanny State

You’re In Bad Hands With Nanny State – Guest – Sep 08, 07: “Thomas Jefferson wrote in his autobiography that, ‘Were we directed from Washington when to sow and when to reap, we should soon want bread.’ And boy was he ever right on that. Because since the time he wrote those words we have seen what happens when governments dictate to the people how to ’sow’ and when to ‘reap’. What’s that? You want a list? Ok, how about any number of the currently floundering European style socialist states, Cuba, North Korea, Iran and the former Soviet Union for starters.

But despite all these examples, today talk of expanding government here in American into realms reserved by the people as their own to control dominates society. Whether it is whispers of socialized healthcare where citizens will be required to regiment their doctors visits based on what a lonely bureaucrat in Washington decides or questions about what the government will do to bail out people with poor credit, shoddy finances and living beyond their means after they take out loans they could not afford to pay back, there is a continuing push to expand the umbrella of the Nanny State over each and everyone of us. Yes, that push is to encompass even those of us that are able to function in a civilized society and interact with other people independent of this control. Because without us in that latter category being onboard, those that would benefit from such policies would not be able to have them.

We’re the producers. We’re the ones from which the money to fund such failed ideas flows. We are the new slave class.”

John Edwards’ Universal Health Care Plan Would Make Regular Checkups Mandatory

No Gravatar

FOXNews.com – John Edwards’ Universal Health Care Plan Would Make Regular Checkups Mandatory – Politics Republican Party Democratic Party Political Spectrum: “TIPTON, Iowa – — Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday that his universal health care proposal would require that Americans go to the doctor for preventive care.”

Under John Edward’s health care plan government would force everyone to go to doctors for preventive care. I guess if you do not go they will arrest you and if you do not take your kids you will be labeled a child abuser. When they diagnose your kid with one of there endless mental disorders they will force you to give them drugs.

Do you really want government running your life and the life of your children? Will preventive care for everyone add to the cost of medical care or decrease it? It certainly will add to the costs if you require young healthy people to see doctors and pill pushers. John Edwards is wacky and dangerous.

Why so many Americans today are ‘mentally ill’

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Why so many Americans today are ‘mentally ill’: “We need to revisit the practice of drugging troubled souls. Psychiatry has totally bought into it and will consider me a Neanderthal or worse. Too bad. Because they’re taking the crown of God’s creation, the human mind, and acting like Dr. Frankenstein engaged in some mad, grandiose experiment, playing God, pulling people’s mood-strings chemically. There’s another way. “

Comptroller general warns of the fall of the US

No Gravatar

FT.com / World – Learn from the fall of Rome, US warned
David Walker, comptroller general of the US, issued the unusually downbeat assessment of his country’s future in a report that lays out what he called “chilling long-term simulations”.
These include “dramatic” tax rises, slashed government services and the large-scale dumping by foreign governments of holdings of US debt.

“With the looming retirement of baby boomers, spiralling healthcare costs, plummeting savings rates and increasing reliance on foreign lenders, we face unprecedented fiscal risks,” said Mr Walker, a former senior executive at PwC auditing firm.
Current US policy on education, energy, the environment, immigration and Iraq also was on an “unsustainable path”.
“Our very prosperity is placing greater demands on our physical infrastructure. Billions of dollars will be needed to modernise everything from highways and airports to water and sewage systems. The recent bridge collapse in Minneapolis was a sobering wake-up call.”
Mr Walker said he would offer to brief the would-be presidential candidates next spring.

Walker has told this to everyone in high government so it is not like they do not know about the grave financial situation but very few give a damn.

The nation’s infastructure is aging

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Bridge collapse no freak accident: “An estimated $1.6 trillion is needed over five years to bring America’s infrastructure up to ’safe standards.’
‘The nation is failing to even maintain the substandard conditions we currently have,’ said the report card from the American Society of Civil Engineers, ‘a dangerous trend that is affecting highway safety, as well as the health of the economy.’
‘Ignoring bad infrastructure and hoping it will do no harm is not an option anymore,’ says Rooney. ‘Places that take care of their infrastructure are safer, healthier and more prosperous.’ “

The truth of the matter is that we do not have the money to fix our infrastructure. The costs are much higher than the 1.6 trillion that you estimate. In addition to bridges, sewers and water lines, all of our interstates need to be widened, the railroads rebuilt, most old city streets need to be redone and many other things need to be taken care of to meet the population increases of this country.

Infrastructure is aging in private utilities and industry as well. Oil refineries need to be replaced, power and telephone lines upgraded, dams, nuclear and conventional power plants etc. Everything should have been be on a schedule of replacement so that the costs are spread out over scores of years. Everything has a lifespan. Since we have been largely ignoring that fact and have been living on the work of the previous generation we will see a band-aid approach and more major breakdowns in both the public and private infrastructure.

During the next depression perhaps rebuilding the aging infrastructure is what people will be doing for that bowl of soup. Or perhaps we will just soon have the infrastructure of a third world nation.

Repaying good with evil

No Gravatar

FrontPage Magazine: “Altogether these four jihadists collected the equivalent of nearly $400,000 dollars in various forms of government assistance in the years prior to their strike. High as this figure is, it does not include the healthcare and schooling they received over time. Yet all this generosity failed to elicit even the smallest measure of gratitude. Not only that, it provoked in them sentiments diametrically opposite – a hatred so intense that it gave birth to a desire to commit mass murder. As they put on their death-laden backpacks on that morning of July 21, all the free housing, education, healthcare and income support they had received counted for nothing. The only thing on their mind was murder. This was their payback to the country that provided for them so generously in their hour of need. Inspired by the teachings of Islam, they sought to repay great good with great evil.

Their act throws light not only on their own personal depravity, but also on the larger problem of Muslim discontent as their sentiments are shared by scores of their co-religionists across the western world. No matter how much is done for them, far too many despise the societies from which they so willingly draw support and benefits.”

Until the West understands the root causes of the Islamic culture of hate it will keep asking why do these Muslim’s hate us when we did them good? They hate us because they are brought up to hate us, and their religion teaches them to hate us.

Iraq War Veterans Sue Federal Government for Denying Health Care

No Gravatar

FOXNews.com – Injured Iraq War Veterans to Sue Federal Government for Denying Health Care – Politics Republican Party Democratic Party Political Spectrum: “WASHINGTON — Frustrated by delays in health care, a coalition of injured Iraq war veterans is accusing VA Secretary Jim Nicholson of breaking the law by denying them disability pay and mental health treatment.

The class-action lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, filed Monday in federal court in San Francisco, seeks broad change in the agency as it struggles to meet growing demands from veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Suing on behalf of hundreds of thousands of veterans, it charges that the VA has failed warriors on several fronts — from providing prompt disability benefits, to adding staff to reduce wait times for medical care to boosting services for post-traumatic stress disorder.

The lawsuit also accuses the VA of deliberately cheating some veterans by allegedly working with the Pentagon to misclassify PTSD claims as pre-existing personality disorders to avoid paying out benefits. The VA and Pentagon have generally denied such charges.”

It is now a very sick government ritual. In every war the US Department of Veterans Affairs always denies war connection for many of the war veterans aliments and the veterans always have to prove otherwise through the American voters and through the courts.

‘Live Earth – Dead Africans?

No Gravatar

‘Live Earth – Dead Africans?’ – Paul Driessen – Jul 19, 07: “Some 95% of Sub-Saharan Africans still do not have electricity, lights or refrigeration – or have them only a few hours a week. As a result, millions die every year from lung infections caused by pollution from wood and dung fires, and acute intestinal diseases caused by tainted water and spoiled food. Millions more die from diseases that would be largely eradicated by the improved living standards, healthcare systems and agriculture that come with prosperity, modern technology and abundant energy. The situation is likewise dire in many other areas.

But Al Gore, Live Earth rock stars and radical pressure groups like Rainforest Action and Greenpeace constantly battle energy projects in poor countries. They oppose coal and gas-fired power plants because of speculative global warming, hydroelectric projects because they dam up rivers, nuclear power because it generates radioactive wastes. They expect African and other poor nations to base their future on insufficient, expensive, unreliable wind and solar energy. That is a virtual guarantor of perpetual poverty.

Environmentalists also oppose biotechnology to improve agricultural output, insecticides to reduce malaria and other diseases, and even jetliners that bring tourists to Africa and African produce to Europe.

At bottom, environmentalists don’t want the world’s poor to rise up out of poverty and become middle class, because then they would become consumers, use more resources and demand more electricity. Green activists are happy to demand more aid and debt relief, but they do everything possible to prevent energy, mineral and economic development, modern agriculture and living standards, or meaningful opportunities for the world’s poor to take their rightful places among the Earth”

Al Gore and those that are kowtowing to his followers will not save the earth it will actually get many people killed.

Hillary, Taxer-in-Chief

No Gravatar

FrontPage magazine.com :: Taxer-in-Chief by Joseph Klein
As President, Hillary will use the tax code to punish success rather than reward it. She has a basic distrust of free market capitalism and consumer choice, believing that big government knows what is best for all of us – whether in health care, education or even the video games we buy. She would rather fund new U.N. global wealth redistribution programs with our tax money than let us keep more of the money we earn from work and investment for ourselves, our families and our own choice of philanthropic causes. She has surrounded herself with advisors of like mind.

If Hillary becomes our next President, we will all pay the horrible price of enormous new taxes to feed her pied piper of omnificent government.

Hillary is a globalist and a socialist who wants government to control everything. If she has a Liberal House and Senate she will enact law to make the US like Europe where 50 percent of income goes to pay taxes. She will set in motion a new way to fund the UN through carbon taxing and also promote her husband as the next UN chief, hopefully followed of course by herself.

World Economy is a ticking time bomb

Economy to struggle as baby boomers retire – Nation/Politics – The Washington Times, America’s Newspaper: “‘It is not normal for a society to age,’ he said. He expects the change to be ‘dramatic’ and even ’sudden’ in the next four years as a sharp increase in retirements starts to impact the economy in Minnesota, where experience mirrors the nationwide trend.

The tide of aging workers and retirees is not just an American phenomenon. It is sweeping the globe and promises to be a challenge even in fast-growing economies like China in a few decades. The primary reasons the population is aging are that people have fewer children and live longer due to better health care. The populations of Europe and Japan are getting older even more rapidly than the U.S., and those countries face more immediate problems in supporting massive retirements and maintaining economic growth. Japan’s growth and population peaked in 1990 and have been mostly stagnant since then.”

Societies through birth control, abortion and debt have created huge problems for themselves. They will soon see that the young will not fund the old in their retirement. The old have amassed huge national debts and entitlement debts that the young cannot and will not pay off. The future of the world is not Utopian for 2015 to 2035. Instead those living in it will be living in very perilous times.
