Not only will doublethink be the hallmark of any Obama administration. I think Lips Law will be fully in effect. The law put into place by GHW Bush – Read my lips, no new taxes. This infallible law says that whatever a politician promises while running for office he will do the exact opposite after elected.

He preaches unity but he will bring division
He preaches peace but he will bring war
He preaches freedom but he will bring tyranny.
He peaches change but he will bring tried and failed socialism.

American Thinker: Doublethink and the Liberal Mind

George Orwell claimed that there was something more calculated at work when politicians begin to claim for example that “Slavery is Freedom” or that “Hate is Love,” or in Mao Tse Tung’s words, that “Compulsion is Voluntary.” The new and improved Democratic Party version seems to be that “Diversity is Unity.” Orwell called this “doublethink” and he claimed that it was a condition endemic to the totalitarian mind. It meant the ability “to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory” and “to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies.” For example, a liberal socialist political platform usually involves “liberating” us from our attachments to property, families and nation in the name of “freedom.” When the State chooses for us, however, the result is slavery. Doublethink in Mr. Obama’s case (“Diversity is Unity!”) gives him the luxury of defending not only the divisive and intolerant Reverend Wright and his party’s divisive policies over the years, but it also allows him to be seen as the savior who will finally make America whole.

Since it is difficult to recall a time when national unity was high on the list of Democratic Party priorities, the coming months should be a rather curious time for many. For instance, when Obama runs in the general election, will his supporters cover their old “Celebrate Difference” bumper stickers with a new “Celebrate Unity” sticker? Will the old “rainbow” flag be replaced by a new flag sporting a picture of a melting pot? Doublethink, however, can help with these exasperating decisions: just display both.

In all seriousness however we need to be aware that doublethink is at bottom a form of intellectual laziness, irresponsibility, or a form of “having your cake and eating it too” with a disdain for objective limits and consistency.

Polosi is following “Lips Law”. Which says that a politician will do the exact opposite of what they ran on while running for office. Her house will turn out to be the most closed and dishonest in history. Can we really expect a party led by immoral people to follow the rules. They think rules are for others, they have no integrity. They would sooner see government institutions destroyed then have one of their self enlightened bills fail.

So here is the thing. I have also met a handful of perfectly civil Muslims. They are happy to live in the West. They have familiarized themselves with all the accoutrements of our society. They look the part and they speak the language. Some of them even practice law and have run for political office.
But these same people have told me in very plain terms:

Suicide bombers are not terrorists, but martyrs for Allah;

Everyone in the world should submit to Shariah law;

Israel has no right to exist; and

America has been a force of evil in the Islamic world.

None of these individuals would support the use of violence on a personal level – they said it is “not within them” to be violent (reassuring, no?). But they also said violence is “understandable” – given all that America has done!

“With talk like that, the notion of “moderates” verses “extremists”– even at a summit of this caliber – begins to sounded a lot more like political correctness than honest to goodness truth.
I took the opportunity to raise this issue with the panel. “What,” I asked, “is a ‘moderate Muslim’ exactly?”

Moderate Muslims are those who talk the talk but won’t walk the walk of Islam. They are something like liberal “Christians”. Don’t expect moderate Muslims to take a stand against Muslims who use violence. They cannot oppose them, they have no scriptural foundation to stand on. They might not believe in violence as the means to the end or they might not want to do any violence themselves but they do believe in the same end and they are not going to take a stand against those working toward that end.

They often fear what the radicals might bring on their own heads but that is not the same as opposing their actions. Since moderates will not use violence to bring about what they believe they are certainly not going to use any violence to oppose those that are doing what their scriptures teaches.

The only truly moderate Muslims identified as Muslims are not Muslims at all, anymore than a “Christian” who does not believe teachings in biblical scriptures is a Christian. These moderates are those who grew up in Islam but who have not totally embraced it. These pick and choose from the Quran or pretty much ignore the Quran. Don’t expect much more than lip service from them unless they can be guaranteed earthy security. They know if they oppose the radical teachings of Islam they will be killed.

If we do not understand that Islam teaches conquest by force and total submission to Shariah law and that we must oppose it with truth and justice we are just whistling past the graveyard. Yes, justice means using military force when necessary.

Islam is a fascist cult more dangerous than the cult of Hitler or Stalin and as those cults led to hot and cold wars so certainly will Islam.
