How The Far Left plans to muzzle conservative speech

A Frontpage Interview with co-author Brian Anderson on the new book “A Manifesto for Media Freedom”. Brian Anderson tells us how the prospect of an Obama presidency and a Democratic Congress threaten all conservative media.

FrontPage Magazine

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Brian Anderson, author of South Park Conservatives, Democratic Capitalism and its Discontents, and co-author with the Progress and Freedom Foundation’s Adam Thierer of the new book, A Manifesto for Media Freedom.

FP: What inspired you to write this book?

Anderson: A sense of growing concern that the Left—with some help from a handful of Republicans—is keen on shushing right-of-center political speech. America in 2008 enjoys a remarkable, historically unprecedented abundance of new and old media outlets for obtaining news, information, and entertainment—something we celebrate as “the media cornucopia.” Think about it: newspapers (still) and magazines (more in existence than ever before); radio and television both broadcast and cable and satellite; DVDs; and of course the wild, dazzling, endlessly mutating Internet. As I argued in an earlier book, South Park Conservatives, this cornucopia has allowed viewpoints long downplayed or excluded in the mainstream, including conservative and libertarian ideas, to get a much wider public hearing, especially via political talk radio and the blogosphere.

Many people—incumbent politicians in general, but above all the political Left—hate this profusion and are keen to contain it, pare it back, get rid of it. Our book documents the most dangerous regulatory measures being brewed up in Washington, or already in place, to do this: a new Fairness Doctrine, or regulatory analogue; “network neutrality”; and the extension of campaign finance restrictions to cover media. The book tries to alert Americans to a danger to their political liberties and explain, in a clear a way as possible, the way complex media regulations work in practice in ways that have profound political implications.

FP: Overall, what do you think is new and fresh about your book and what do you hope it will achieve?

Anderson: I think our book is the first to explain, in as clear and systematic a way as possible, the extent of the threat to political speech being cooked up in Washington as we do this interview—and with the prospect of an Obama presidency and a Democratic Congress, the time is now to understand what’s at stake and fight back. It is also encourages conservatives to embrace media freedom rather than pursue their own regulatory crusades on things like cleaning up cable television. The Right has benefited hugely from the proliferation of outlets and media in recent years and should recognize that fact.

Dumb Katie Couric interviews dumber Joe Biden

No Gravatar

Not only do ignoramuses like Joe Biden and Katie Couric not even know that FDR was not President in 1929 they fail to understand that the Great depression did not end anywhere near 1929. In fact, it started in the 1930’s and it lasted for over a decade through most of FDR’s Presidency, It took the military expansion for World War II to get us out of the great depression. Also Joe Biden said FDR went on TV in 1929. There was no TV in those days.

In another article, 14 lies or wrong statements were documented from Joe Biden in his Vice Presidential debate with Sarah Palin. He seems to either have no clue on the facts or he is purposely deceptive.

This article also points out the fact that Joe Biden was only one of five senators who voted against the Alaskan pipeline. Think of the situation we would be in now had that pipeline not been built. Can you imagine Joe Biden sitting and advising the President and constantly getting the facts he tells him wrong.

Both Katie Couric and Joe Biden richly deserve my Demented Delusional or Dumb Club award for obvious reasons.

Here is some additional information on the record of Joe Biden

AnnCoulter.com - Printer Friendly Article: BIDEN SECRET SERVICE CODE NAME: ‘ASSASSINATION INSURANCE’

Being interviewed by Katie Couric on the “CBS Evening News,” Biden said: “When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.’”

For those of you who aren’t hard-core history buffs, Biden not only named the wrong president during the 1929 stock market crash, he also claimed a president who wasn’t president during the stock market crash went on TV before Americans had TVs.

Other than that, the statement holds up pretty well. At least Biden managed to avoid mentioning any “clean” Negroes he had met.

Couric was nearly moved to tears by the brilliance of Biden’s brain-damaged remark. She was especially intrigued by Biden’s claim that FDR had said the new iPhone was the bomb!

Here is Couric’s full response to Biden’s bizarre outburst about FDR (a) being president and (b) going on TV in 1929: “Relating to the fears of the average American is one of Biden’s strong suits.”

The energy shortage in the U.S. only exists because certain politicians want it.

No Gravatar

In spite of what you have been told the U.S. has the largest oil potential than any other known area in the world. We have enough oil in shale to last for hundreds of years. If we actually went all out to produce these resources we could be a oil exporter in a few decades. By the way, Shale oil can be recovered with present technology with little environmental impact and produce gasoline for less than $2 a gallon but since it is on federal land congress has put it off limits for energy development.

So frankly the energy shortage has more to do with politics than anything else. When you have two trillion barrels of oil in reserve and 1/4 of the coal deposits on earth you do not have a energy shortage unless certain people want you to have an energy shortage.

American Thinker: The Myth of No Oil

Predictions of nationwide oil supply exhaustion soon became regular occurrences, with seven made prior to 1950[2], even though the United States was the world’s largest crude oil producer until 1973. Indeed, through the mid-1980’s, most oil consumed in the country was of domestic origin. Today, however, the United States imports the majority of its oil and, due to environmental regulations, has not authorized the construction of new refineries since the mid-1970s.

Yet, our country does not lack adequate oil resources. Rather, supply estimate methodologies seriously undercount our true oil resources. This and our lack of political will to use advanced recovery technologies contribute to the myth of no oil. This myth hobbles our ability to draw on our own existing resources and keeps us in a dependent posture, looking to others to provide for us.

A potentially significant supply of oil is trapped in shale in the American West. Rocks in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming alone are believed to contain over 1,500 billion barrels of oil. Previous government experiments with shale oil production were labor and energy intensive and environmentally disruptive, producing little oil. But efforts by private companies have revolutionized the extraction technology with development of an in situ process of heating rocks, trapping oil and extracting it profitably at oil prices of just over $30 a barrel. Shell Oil, the leader in this new technology, estimates that it will be able to produce one million barrels of oil per acre.

Meanwhile, it is estimated that oil production from tar sands in Canada and South America would add an additional 600 billion barrels to the world’s supply.[5] Canada, which does not segregate conventional oil from tar sands, is currently the largest U.S. oil supplier with about half of Canadian crude derived from oil sands. This oil is forecast to reach 3 million barrels per day in 2015. The Economist[6] recently noted that there exist “174 billion barrels of proven reserves in the oil sands of Alberta” alone.

Another technology, coal liquefaction to produce oil, becomes competitive when the price of conventional oil is higher than $30 per barrel, according to U.S. Energy Department estimates. The coal-to-oil process produces natural gas and removes pollutants that are released when coal is burned to produce electricity. With the United States possessing 27% of the world’s coal supply, U.S. coal-to-oil production could be substantial. South Africa has been producing petrol and diesel from coal since 1955 and currently produces 40% of the country’s oil from this source.

We The People” think the environmental elite should monitor their lying mass media mouth.

We The People” think you should monitor your lying mass media mouth.

By don Koenig

I do not know about you but I feel the new energy ads on TV are very offensive and totally un-American. They are saying that We The People” are no longer asking but “demanding” that government go to very expensive and destructive all renewable energy sources like windmills in ten years. How dare they presume to speak for what “We the People” of America demand just because they have the money to buy mass media prime air time!

They are saying that We The People are demanding energy and environmental policies that only the environmentally naive, only those already brainwashed and only the brain dead could possibly believe. Those pushing this deception are those with vested interests using what they know are deceptive lies. These elitists are attempting to brainwash the American people with their lying mass media ads in order to line their own pockets. I think it is time for those with the money to counter with their own ads and present the plain unvarnished truth and expose these people for the dangerous radical frauds that they are.

This obvious fraud of acting like they are speaking for “We The People” should be illegal. If we allow self serving interest groups with deep pocket to brainwash all those who watch mass media with their own disinformation campaigns we will lose this nation to an Oligarchy.

Al Gore told us this three hundred million dollar ad campaign would take place and billionaire T. Boone Pickens has jumped on the global warming gravy train to further his huge investments in windmills and natural gas. Now we are seeing in their lying mass media ads how devious and dangerous these people can be when “We The People only hear in the mass media from the side of those who stand to gain from brainwashing us with their lying mass media campaign to America.

Brainwashing by the elite rich through use of lying mass media must never be allowed in America or our representative Republic elected by “We The People” will be finished.

Here is another opinion by a blogger who wants Al Gore to stop lying on TV like he is speaking for the American people on other TV ad.

I heard Al Gore say the other day that his followers should now use civil disobedence to stop the building of new coal plants in America. He also said that individal state Attorney Generals should prosecute what Gore things is fraud. If anyone should be prosecuted for fraud it should be Al Gore with his lying movie and his lying presentations that are based on lies and fraud. Even the British Court indicated that when he tried to force his “Inconvenient Truth” move down the throats of all British school children. People better realize we are dealing with some very devious self serving people here.

Democrats On the biblical road with Saul…Alinsky

No Gravatar

The insights of Ann Coulter on the Democrats, their profound knowledge of the Bible and their community organizer forefather Saul. (No Jesus was not a community organizer like radical socialist Saul Alinsky or Barack Obama, nor were real Americans.)

Obama: Lucifer Is My Homeboy - HUMAN EVENTS

Obama: Lucifer Is My Homeboy
by Ann Coulter

It’s another election season, so that means it’s time for Democrats to start uttering wild malapropisms about the Bible to pretend they believe in God!

In 2000, we had Al Gore inverting a Christian parable into something nearly satanic. Defending his nutty ideas about the Earth during one of the debates, Gore said: “In my faith tradition, it’s written in the book of Matthew, where your heart is, there is your treasure also.” And that, he said, is why we should treasure the environment.

First of all, people who say “faith tradition” instead of “religion” are always phony-baloney, “Christmas and Easter”-type believers.

Then in 2004, Democratic presidential candidate and future Trivial Pursuit answer Howard Dean told an interviewer that his favorite part of the New Testament was the Book of Job. The reporter should have asked him if that was his favorite book in all three testaments.

David Freddoso’s magnificent new book, The Case Against Barack Obama describes the forefather to “community organizers” like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — the famed Saul Alinsky.

Alinsky is sort of the George Washington of “community organizers.” If there were an America-hater’s Mount Rushmore, Saul Alinsky would be on it. He tried to hire Hillary to work for him right out of Wellesley. A generation later, those who had trained with Alinsky did hire Obama as a community organizer.

In Freddoso’s book , he quotes from the dedication in the first edition of Alinsky’s seminal book, “Rules for Radicals,” where Alinsky wrote:

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: From all our legends, mythology and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

Sarah Palin might be just the lucky break the Democrats need. As a staunch pro-lifer, Palin could give Democrats an excuse to steer away from topics they know nothing about, like the Bible , and onto a subject they know chapter and verse, like abortion.

Liberal lies about American history exposed by Larry Schweikart

This book by  Larry Schweikart sounds like a great piece of work that needs to be told to the American people. This interview gets into some of the liberal lies about American History and they are well worth the reading. Just think your children are reading the lies in their schools as if it were the truth.

48 Liberal Lies About American History
By Jamie Glazov
FrontPageMagazine.com | Friday, September 12, 2008

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Larry Schweikart, a professor of history at the University of Dayton. He is the co-author with Michael Allen of the best-selling book, A Patriot’s History of the United States. His follow-up book, America’s Victories, led President Bush to invite him to the Oval Office for a discussion of history. His new book is 48 Liberal Lies About American History.

FP: What do you hope your book will help achieve?

Schweikart: I hope parents will at least look at their kids’ books, and I hope students will think about some of the junk they are getting from their books. Oh, and I hope they also buy a real U.S. history textbook, A Patriot’s History of the United States.

A consensus of liars puts the world in real danger for global cooling.

No Gravatar

There never was a consensus of climate scientists saying that global warming was man caused. It was all made up by the world power elite controlled bureaucrats and their media.

Read the real story and read about the real consensus of scientists that agree that global warming is not any danger to this planet. In fact, there is now more danger from what now appears to be a global cooling trend.

The liars now have society so brainwashed that now even when the earth is cooling and likely heading toward a dangerously long term cold trend all you still hear in the media and from the politicians is the global warming danger and the CO2 threat.

These greedy power brokers and socialist fascist control freak idiots are putting the world in economic danger and the danger of real energy shortages at a time when the absence of sun spot activity seems to be indicating that we are heading toward a long term global cooling. This energy shortage and cooling could bring energy crises worse than any you can imagine along with world crop failures and famine.

It is time to get these wacko environmentalists off of our back and to put leaders into place that will develop all energy sources regardless of the release of beneficial CO2.

Michael Coffman — Consensus? What Consensus?

CONSENSUS? WHAT CONSENSUS?

By Dr. Michael S. Coffman Ph. D.
September 10, 2008
NewsWithViews.com

We have all heard the litany in the news that 2,500 scientists working in conjunction with the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) agree with a 90 percent certainty that man is causing potentially catastrophic global warming. They even received the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Al Gore, for their exemplary work in the field. This, we are told, is a solid consensus having very few dissenters. The problem is that this so-called consensus is a myth – it never existed. Ever!

Outraged with the sheer duplicity of the press and warming alarmists, OISM launched the same petition again in 2008. They used a subset of the mailing list of American Men and Women of Science, a who’s who of Science, to mail the petition requesting the recipient to sign the petition if agreed that Kyoto was a danger to humanity.

The results, reported last May showed that 31,072 scientists, 9,021 of whom were Ph.D.s, signed the petition. Every signature has been vetted for authenticity.

Ironically, using the Freedom of Information Act, it has been proven that the so-called 2500 scientists the IPCC claims make up their “consensus,” are really not scientists at all. Of that total, only 308 scientists reviewed the 2007 IPCC report. Many of them disagreed, some strongly so. Not surprisingly, all of their comments were rejected and not included in the report. The remaining 2192 so-called scientists came from all walks of life; politicians, government bureaucrats, social workers, and apparently even a hotel manager. Less than 40 of the 308 scientists were generally supportive of the hypothesis, and less than 5 actually endorsed the report. Yet, the report was hailed by the media as the consensus of thousands of scientists.

Putting this into perspective, for every 1 scientist who even slightly favored the IPCC conclusions, 792 signed the petition saying there was no convincing evidence that there is man-made catastrophic global warming. For every Ph.D. that endorsed the IPCC report, 1800 signed the petition. If anything, there is a scientific consensus that man is not responsible for global warming. What did the media do with this potentially explosive story? They ignored it, as usual. A few, like Fox News, were gracious enough to have a byline on their website. Only the conservative media highlighted this phenomenal story.

It would seem the media, and by extension, the people who depend on it for accurate news, would rather believe a lie than the truth. This realization led Dr. Ross McKittrick, who discredited the hockey stick theory of the 2001 IPCC report, to lament, “We are now at the stage where mere facts, reason, and truth are powerless in the face of the global warming propaganda.” It is a scary thought, but he is correct. Ignorance and propaganda now form the basis of our policy on climate change (and many other environmental issues). We are treading a dangerous path.

White America is damned if we do and damned if we don’t elect Barack Obama.

No Gravatar

Pat Buchanan brings up a very good question that I have not thought about before. The Liberal and Black expectations are that America must elect Barack Obama. So what will they do if they actually lose the election? After thinking about it I think I can already tell you.

This is not a request by the Far Left, the Blacks and the immoral special interest groups. It is a demand that we elect Barack Obama. Should Obama lose the election they will be claiming racism and election fraud and burning the cities and looting because they were disrespected and the national media will justify their actions.

Understand, that this is not a presidential election it is a coronation of the choosen King of the Liberals, Blacks and all the immoral special interest groups who wants Obama to take change out of your pocket and morality out of your mind in order to bring in a demented socialist utopia of delusion.

The Far Left elite are playing the racist card in order to put into power all their immoral programs through their chosen elitist half black man counting on the fact that race sensitive America would not dare reject a black man. If the nation does not elect Obama on a close election they will say the election was unfair so let the white controlled party and nation be dammed. If the nation does not elect him and the vote is not close they will say let this white racist nation be damned. If the nation elects him and he brings in the wealth transfer and Far Left socialist agenda that Obama stands for, the nation will be damned. So we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t elect Barack Obama.

So what will happen is that should Obama lose you will see Far Left instigation of massive civil disobedience making it necessary for McCain to either appease the Far Left and bring in the same agendas or McCain will move toward a police state, or both. The outcome might be determined by the depth of the civil disobedience.

Make no mistake, white America and all those who oppose Barack Obama’s moral positions are now being held hostage and should we choose not be black mailed the instigated civil unrest might become the biggest issues in this nation. So this election is not all about change or Iraq. There is a hidden agenda coming from the Far left controlled media, secular humanists, radical environmentalists, race baiting black leaders and all the immoral special interest groups that are forcing their agenda and perversions on this nation. They think they cannot lose no matter how this falls out and they are probably right since the moral majority is now a moral minority.

And if Obama loses?

Questions arise. With this immense moral and emotional investment in a Barack victory – by 94 to 1 in one poll black America is behind him — what happens if the nation decides he is too radical, too inexperienced, too callow, too risky to be president?

What happens if the American people reject their marching orders and say no to Barack and black America? What happens if all the hopes and dreams, hype and hoopla, end in disillusionment?

Would the defeat of Barack Obama be taken as an affront to black America? Could we be in for a time of deepening racial division rather than healing? Could we be in for a long, hot autumn like the long, hot summers some of us recall from 40 years ago?

One black preacher here suggested as much to me.

No candidate has ever been nominated by a major party with fewer credentials or a weaker claim to the presidency, or more doubts as to his core beliefs. If Obama wins, the country could be in real trouble. And if he loses, the country could be in real trouble.

What the media celebrate today, they may rue tomorrow.

Why a vote for a Democrat in our national government might be a vote to end our Republic.

No Gravatar

A Democratic Party President, a Democratic House and a filibuster proof Democratic Senate would be the end of this nation as we know it. When are people going to realize that this secular humanist amoral Democratic party is not the Democratic party of our fathers? The national party is now controlled by radical left wing elitist power brokers. It is a fifth column of elite that wants to force the U.S. to conform to the socialist globalist rules of the UN and the EU.

We would be a Left wing Fascist socialist nation in no time. Within a year or two they would have a liberal Supreme Court to uphold their unconstitutional laws and anything Obama, Harry and Nanny wanted they would get. The whole U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights would be redefined by godless socialists. By the end of term they will have changed media laws, they will have put into effect anti Christian hate speech laws and they will have made broad political changes that will insure that they stay in power. Somewhat like Putin and his Fascist people are now doing in Russia.

Even if they do not get their filibuster proof majority in the Senate it does not mean that we are out of the woods. If there is a Democratic President the scum suckers will try to change the Senate rules and stop filibusters all together and they will probably succeed. The only reason these bottom feeding scum suckers have not attempted to do that already is that they know that a Senate rules change now would not help them with a Republican President in office who would veto their bills.

So gee…nothing less then our Republic is on the line during the next election. So if you want to live under left wing Fascism you know how to vote. I find it simply unbelievable that so many people in this nation continue to vote for a national party that has not taken a correct moral stand on any significant issue in decades. Don’t you people even believe what your religion teaches? If not quit pretending! Admit you believe in nothing but how the government can give you a free handout.

Don’t count on being able to remove these bottom feeders in four years like some say will happen either. By then the rules of the political game will have changed and they will have muzzled free speech. We could even be under Marshall law. You will need a military coup to get the scum suckers out of office if that happens.

Don’t also count on the U.S becoming some Christian socialist paradise through the liberals passing huge give away programs and bailouts that this nation cannot afford. The failed economic polices of socialism will put us in the worse economic times in the history of this nation. We are in trouble already because of a democrat controlled House and Senate. Just one example is the cost of gas. Why do you think gas is four dollars a gallon? It is because liberals would not let people drill where there is significant oil or build refineries for twenty years.

Left wing naive wishful thinking will bring foreign policy miscalculation against Iran, Russia, and others that will probably put us in the third world war. So vote for a Democrat and also sign up for the draft.

You cannot say you were not warned when you still go ahead and vote for that Democrat.

(Of course I am mainly  talking about national candidates not all democrats running for local offices)

RealClearPolitics - Articles - Democrats Aim for a 60-Vote Senate

Here’s an intriguing thought: The John McCain-Barack Obama fight isn’t this season’s biggest political story. That honor should be reserved for the intense Democratic push to win a filibuster-proof Senate majority.

Democrats know this is a huge prize, and they are throwing at least as much money and sweat into that effort as they are into electing Mr. Obama. What isn’t clear is that voters are as aware of the stakes. An unstoppable Democratic Senate has the potential to alter the balance of power in Washington in ways not yet seen.

Mr. Reid won’t necessarily need 60 votes to hold Washington’s whip hand. With a contingent of blue-state Republicans (think Maine’s Olympia Snowe), Mr. Reid could peel off votes and have an “effective” filibuster with just 57 or 58 seats. That may not be enough to accomplish every last item on his wish list, but close.

That wish list? Take a look at what House Democrats (who aren’t burdened with a filibuster) unilaterally passed last year: The biggest tax increase in history; card check, which eliminates secret ballots in union organizing elections; an “energy” bill that lacks drilling; vastly expanded government health insurance; new powers to restrict pharmaceutical prices. Add to this a global warming program, new trade restrictions (certainly no new trade deals) and fewer private options in Medicare.

Why is the Conservative right not also controlling major national media?

No Gravatar

People like Nancy Pelosi, T. Boone Pickens and Al gore are telling lies that could have a catastrophic negative impact on this nations for decades. At some point the people of the United States are going to have to say we have had enough of people with special interests buying time to give out irresponsible disinformation or the conservatives are going to have to do something about the imbalanced message themselves.

There is something wrong when billionaires like Pickens with a ten billion dollar venture in windmills can buy time on all major national medias to misinformed the public on a national security issue in order to sell the windmill industry that he leads.

There is something wrong when Al Gore’s group can spend 300 million to give global warming disinformation on media to sell a carbon cap and trade industry that he leads.

There is something wrong when the Speaker of the House will not even let the oil drilling issue come up for vote when 3/4 of the people of the U.S. want off shore drilling.

There is something wrong when all these people can get invited over and over again to appear on public media shows to give their nutty unrealistic views on energy but little or nothing is said by people who know the truth. There is a term for this, it is called brainwashing the American public.

A biased mass media run by the elite has changed America from a Republic to an Oligarchy. It used to be that representatives voted what the local people wanted but with mass media those that control the media first brainwash the public to believe a lie and then when they have enough convinced that lies are truth they pass loony laws that negatively impact Americans.

As I speak their is a bill sponsored by Obama going through Congress that will simply give away almost one percent of America’s Gross national product each year to the UN to give to other nations. Do you even know that this wealth transfer will soon be law? Why would they tell you? Government and media is not serving Americans anymore it is serving world governance through world elitists. As long as this continues we do not have a Republic we have a Oligarchy.

We need more than election reform, we also need brainwashing reform and we need to get rid of the undue influence of elitists that are brainwashing everyone. These power brokers are trying to manage everyone as they see fit but in reality they are about to screw up the whole world.

Major media is so influential and so controlled by just a few people that it needs to be made to report all the facts. It must not be allowed to just push the agendas of special interest groups.

I also would like to know why the Right is not making an equal effort in the major medias to inform the people of the truth as the Left is in giving disinformation? Is it only Homosexuals, environmentalists and big government socialists who have money to buy media in this country? Why is the conservative Right not buying just as much time to debunk the lies coming from the Left? We are not going to restore a government elected by people who have the facts if we allow the Left to have all the control over information to the people.

So I ask you conservative people who have the money, why are you not using your money to make a difference? Why is the conservative Right not also controlling major national medias? Is everyone on the Right broke? If conservative talk can draw the audience in talk radio why are conservatives not establishing their own TV programs to get out the truth?

If you are going to just give the Left the only voice that matters why would you expect anything other than more amoral laws and socialism in America?

Nancy Pelosi is playing God

There is a big disconnect between the rush to convert automobiles to batteries and the reality that the electricity to recharge those batteries would require a massive new generating capacity. The same flawed excuse of “protecting the environment” has also blocked the expansion of electricity generating capacity. If the self-appointed gods of environmental protection won’t allow the expansion of electricity generation, how are the batteries of all these new electric vehicles going to be recharged every night?

Another major disconnect between the rush to replace oil with renewable sources such as wind and solar is the negative environmental impact of these renewable technologies. For example, to replace a single 50-megawatt coal-fired generating plant, which may occupy as much as 20 acres of land, approximately 3,000 acres of land would have to be occupied by wind turbines. To produce 50-megawatts of electricity from solar panels would cover even more land. How can these protectors of the environment justify blanketing the land with whirling bird-killers and solar panels that block the sun from all forms of life beneath them?

Some environmental purists genuinely want America and the world to return to the Stone Age. Nancy Pelosi is no environmental purist. She is a political creature, which is a person so intoxicated by power that the instinct to retain and expand it overwhelms common sense, logic, ethics, morality, or anything else that might get in the way.

By her refusal even to allow debate on proposals to expand oil development – where oil is known to exist – she stands like a barricade between thirsty consumers and a new mountain stream. She apparently sees herself as a self-appointed savior; she is, in truth, acting as judge and jury, condemning a nation desperate for more energy to spiraling energy costs for possibly another generation.

This is not a new posture for Democrat leadership. Democrats in the House, the Senate and the White House have blocked expansion of oil supplies for more than a decade. Had Bill Clinton not vetoed the bill that would have opened the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge more than a decade ago, gas prices would not be as high as they are today. Millions of jobs would have been created, and every American could have saved the money needlessly paid to foreign sources for oil, simply because one man played God and defied the express will of the people.

Nancy Pelosi is now playing God, standing where Bill Clinton stood more than a decade ago, defying the expressed will of the people by blocking access to the known oil reserves that are so desperately needed by the entire nation.

Polar melting delusions

No Gravatar

I guess you heard the reports that there would be a record ice melt at the North Pole this year and how bad things are getting at the poles. Don’t believe everything you read or see on the global warming bought and paid for media. The latest reports came from someones delusions.

Chicken Little and the North Pole Icecap - HUMAN EVENTS

Here’s the deal, folks: the planet as a whole is cooling and is projected to do for decades. The Antarctic has 1 million square kilometers more ice than a year ago when it set an ice record. It is warming at one pole, the one up north, which is not greenhouse warming, which would be a warming at both. Yet the northern hemisphere has 1 million square kilometers more ice than it did last year at this time. World sea ice is at or near a modern high, despite modern measurements beginning in the coldest decade of the past century. You can look these things up. It’s called climate. Which changes. Always.

The intent of the Climate Change agenda is to bring in Big Brother fascist world socialism through fear

No Gravatar

This article points out how global warming hype at the UN is a political process not any scientific consensus that man is causing climate change. It is a top level scheme for global taxation. Much the same is being done in the major industrial nations. The elite power brokers in government and media cannot peddle the climate change lies fast enough but there is little real science behind what they claim.

They make movies and TV programs to cause fear that tell us how man caused climate change will cause huge catastrophes on the earth. This is all part of a lying propaganda campaign. They tell you how the latest storms are caused by global warming and that these events will increase in the future but they have no science behind their agenda of fear. How could the flood events in the Midwest be caused by global warming when the earth is cooler this year then it has been for almost a hundred years? The floods are really partly the result of an unusually cool Pacific this year. They should be sued for fraud.

You might wonder why the media is lying to you, you might wonder why Al Gore is lying to you, you might wonder why all globalist controlled politicians are lying to you. It is because the real agenda is getting control of and managing everyone on earth. Carbon legislation and the fear of global warming is the way they intend to bring in bureaucratic world governance over everyone.

Most have no idea how far they intend to take this scheme. Everything everyone does will be evaluated through carbon censor control freaks and you will comply or you will be fined or imprisoned. It will start with carbon and then it will spread to food, energy, religion and every other manageable area that they can dream up. This is nothing but a scheme to bring in Big Brother fascist world socialism. The earth is to become a giant global beehive with the elite being the queen bees. They are using irrational fears that they implanted in your brain through media lies and they are getting away with it. People have obviously lost their ability to reason or they would tar and feather these people.

The facts are that the earth has not warmed in a decade and it is now cooling. So they tell you the earth is talking a warming break but it will start warming again. Well, give me a break! Says who? Not any scientific consensus and IPCC and Al Gore do not speak for science they speak for global government. Meanwhile the politicians that you elected and that you are electing are planing to implement the biggest tax and control scheme in the history of the world!

Scientist: ‘Global warming’
scheme to push global tax

“The IPCC provides its reports at regular intervals and they immediately become standard works of reference, widely used by policymakers, experts and students,” the organization itself says. .

The IPCC conferences do, in fact, feature “a few hundred” people, including some with formal educations in science, some actively engaged in scientific work, some retired, holding discussions on “the entirely unsolved problem of climate prediction for time periods decades and even centuries in the future,” said Robinson, who also publishes the Access to Energy newsletter. In 1973, Robinson co-founded the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine with Linus Pauling.

“The primary requirement for selection is a willingness to participate in the United Nations’ new ‘process’ and the agenda behind it,” Robinson said. “These people study and discuss the current and past research literature concerning climate and climate prediction. … These emanations are closely observed by a very select small group of United Nations operatives.”

At the end of the meetings, “this small group of observers combines the products of the meeting into a large important-looking report – carefully editing the report so that it supports United Nations political objectives,” Robinson said. “At no time is this report submitted to the 600-plus ’scientists.’”

The results then are distributed as “settled science,” he said, “regardless of the fact that the scientists involved do not agree upon the text. … The elite few who oversaw the meeting and interpreted its results are special. They are the U.N.’s anointed messengers of the truth.”

“In the present case in which United Nations apparatchiks have proclaimed that human activity is catastrophically warming the planet, the human cost of error is so great than many other scientists have become motivated to individually examine the evidence. Now, a total of more than 9,000 Americans with Ph.D.s in science and therefore professional educational credentials that, on average, equal or surpass the United Nations 600 – and a total of more than 31,000 Americans with at least B.S. degrees in science have signed a petition to the U.S. government specifically rejecting the United Nations claim that human use of hydrocarbon energy is injuring the climate,” Robinson said.

“In fact, the 31,000 scientists state that carbon dioxide released by energy production is actually beneficial to the environment,” he said.

“It is time to kill this counterproductive virus that has sickened American science and engineering, and get on with the job of expanding the American hydrocarbon and nuclear energy industries. To do less poses a terrible risk to America’s prosperity and to her future,” he said.

What domestic oil shortage? Shale, coal and tar sands at $50 a barrel is feasible today.

No Gravatar

The case is made that we could get all the oil we need out of coal and that we have more oil potential in coal than there is in the entire oil reserves in the world. Coal is already being made into oil in South Africa for about $55 a barrel. I would think that it would take a number of years to gear up in the U.S. and government and the radical environmentalists would have to get out of the way. Yet, coal is not all we have.

We also have oil shale reserves with more oil in them than the entire Middle-East reserves. Oil shale will be even easier and more enviornmentally friendly to get out of the ground than coal. It is much the same as drilling for oil except the necessary extra steps done below ground will still make oil profitable at $50 a barrel. So both oil production methods could produce all the oil we need for hundreds of years and give us gasoline for about $2 a gallon. I have not even talked about the oil sands of Canada that are just as huge.

So don’t let anyone tell you that we do not have the capability to get off of foreign energy dependency. That might be the party line but those who say such things are either ignorant, they are lying or they want crazy environmental restrictions. The only thing that is stopping development of all these resources is politicians. It is Congress and their government regulations.

If it were announced today that the U.S. would develop these resources on a unlimited scale oil futures and oil prices would drop like a rock half the price today is speculation. Also OPEC would panic and try to gear up production to lower prices below the price that we could develop these new resources in order to retrain their monopoly on oil. In that case, we would have to set a floor price and put a tariff on imported oil to keep it up to a price where these new resources could be developed and not undercut by Middle-East oil producers that extract their easy oil at less than $4 a barrel.

FrontPage Magazine

This in effect means that as long as the price of crude oil remains above $55 a barrel – and there is every reason to believe it will – America can enjoy fuel self-sufficiency for as long as the eye can see.

It is important to grasp the full import of this: Unlike all the other ideas and proposals for achieving oil independence, coal conversion represents no false hope or wishful thinking but an eminently feasible and realistic possibility.

No new inventions, no technological breakthroughs, no extensive infrastructure modifications, no lengthy testing, no public investment or government incentives are required to make it happen. Everything is already in place to bring it about

All that needs to be done is to remove any artificially imposed impediments that may stand in the way. Most of them are in the form of environmental rules and regulations which make energy production such a difficult and problematic enterprise in this country.

As far as the environment is concerned, coal conversion and its derivatives are cleaner than their crude oil counterparts. There is technology to capture the CO2 released during the liquefaction process and the resulting diesel and kerosene have lower sulfur content than those refined in the conventional way. As a result, during the combustion process they release fewer particulates and less nitrogen oxide then their petroleum cousins. Such, in fact, is their purity that they are often referred to as ultra-clean fuels. This should go a long way toward assuaging environmental concerns.

The rising energy prices have made it possible for America to commercially utilize its enormous coal reserves and to become fuel independent in the process. The only thing required at this point is for government not to interfere with market forces which inexorably incline toward this outcome.

The bearded lady has a baby

No Gravatar

Thracy a woman claiming to be a man with baby and all who promote this freak show richly deserve my Demented Delusional or Dumb Club of the week award. You can read about the demented and delusional details on the link below.

The ‘pregnant man’ freak show

she is a militant lesbian activist willing to use her body to undermine gender roles and promote sexual confusion. She is a propagandist of the first order. She plasters pictures of herself topless in her front yard, her self-butchered breasts over her pregnant belly, then claims victimization when receptionists look at her sideways. She appears on Oprah, then has the unremitting gall to claim that others are targeting her with cameras.

Thracy wrote in her dismally platitudinous, yet dramatically subversive piece in The Advocate, “Our situation ultimately will ask everyone to embrace the gamut of human possibility and to define for themselves what is normal.” The liberal, profit-driven press and the American court system have defined what’s normal – and Thracy is the new normal. Thracy, and those like her, are not victims of a repressive society – they are purveyors of a rootless society, seeking to impose a worldview that labels mental illness an exercise in liberation and destroys the traditional, child-centric family in favor of a loosely-organized group of beings (male, female or other) who see children as a right rather than a responsibility.

Thracy isn’t the first pregnant man – she is only the latest lesbian spokesperson for radical amorality, festooned with the plumage of masculinity. Testosterone doesn’t make a woman a man. And a bearded pregnant woman doesn’t make wrong right, no matter what the media say.

Who will be Left after the bills come due in America?

No Gravatar

If America goes any further Left all those things Dennis Prager listed as future realities will be eagerly celebrated by the demented, delusional and dumb subjects of the fascist state that they created. If America did not want big government, and big brother socialism she would not be voting these people into power.

What it comes down to is that the people have been brainwashed in schools, media and through their own parent’s  lifestyle to deny God and to rely on socialism administrated by big government. The people of this nation now want and expect government to take care of them from birth to death. What they have not been taught and what has not been demonstrated to them is that they will eventually have to pay the bills for the spending spree.

Now they have no problem just creating new government social programs because they think someone else is picking up the tab. Well, no they ain’t and they haven’t been for a long time. The bill is all on their credit card and soon they will not even be able to pay the interest payment on the debt that is racked up. The impending one hundred trillion dollar price tag for the American social state that they wanted will bring them to poverty in this generation.

FrontPage Magazine

The day the O.J. Simpson verdict was announced, I said to my then-teenage son, “David, please forgive me. I am handing over to you a worse America than my father handed over to me.”

Unfortunately, I still feel this way.

One might argue that these are the same laments that every previous older generation has expressed — “Ah, when I was young…” But in America, that has not been the case. In America, the older generations tended to say the opposite — “When I was a kid, things were worse.”

Can we return to the America of my youth? No. Can we return to the best values of that time? Yes. But not if both houses of Congress, the presidency and the Supreme Court move the country even further leftward. If that happens, many of the above noted changes will simply be accelerated: More laws restricting “offensive” speech will be enacted; litigation will increase and trial lawyers will gain more power; the American military will be less valued; trees will gradually replace the flag as our most venerated symbol; schools will teach even less as they concentrate even more on diversity, sexuality and the environment; teenage sex will be increasingly accepted; American identity will continue to be replaced by ethnic, racial, gender or “world citizen” identity; and the power of the state will expand further as the power of the individual inevitably contracts. It’s hard to believe most Americans really want that.

Dire global warning on global warming

No Gravatar

This is one great article about all the different aspects of global warming and it has the very latest information. This one article alone should make you question the sanity or honesty of many well known people promoting carbon legislation.

One demented preacher in the news today said that man caused global warming deniers are like child molesters. I want to reply to him that those who promote this carbon hoax on the world are murders! They are causing legislation and unnecessary burdens that will bring untold misery and death to many of the poor of the world. It will even cause famine and revolutions. But what do they care, many leading this facade think that poor people are useless eaters that the world would be better off without anyway.

If that is not enough carbon legislation will bring in world fascist where everything everyone does in the world will be controlled by carbon bean counters controlled by unelected elitist global governors.

FrontPage Magazine

The scientific consensus today is slowly beginning to shift away from the catastrophism of Gore, Suzuki and the United Nations IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report, to suggest that the human contribution to global warming is far less than originally assumed and that a meteorological calamity is highly unlikely. (The IPCC, which certified and entrenched the so-called “scientific consensus,” is essentially a political body with an agenda of its own.) See Inhofe EPW Press Blog, Daily Tech online, and the journal Energy and Environment, whose findings are based on a survey of the ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) Web of Science database covering almost 9000 scientific publications.

Other reports conclude that “solar variability” is the major component in climate change and will run its course regardless of human intervention. As David Douglass writes in the International Journal of Climatology of the Royal Meteorological Society (December 2007), in a peer-reviewed article co-authored with several prominent scientists, “The observed pattern of warming . . . does not show the characteristic fingerprint associated with greenhouse warming. The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant and that observed increases in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases make only a negligible contribution to climate warming.”

The most sophisticated climate models indicate an undeniable discrepancy between surface and tropospheric temperature changes, which points to the sun as the primary agent in the long-term, fluctuating temperature curve. John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, patiently explains that the sun, which contains 99.8% of the mass of the solar system, in its hydrogen-fueled atomic fusion process, “consumes more mass in a second than all the fossil fuel ever burned on Earth,” the terrestrial impact of which reduces the human input to global warming to a level of insignificance. Though Coleman doesn’t cite actual figures, the fact is that the sun pours in excess of a million billion megawatt-hours annually on the earth. But he does quote the highly respected Australian mathematician and former carbon consultant for the Australian government, David Evans, who argues that “carbon emissions don’t cause global warming.” According to Evans, the IPCC models are wrong and the mathematics show that the human signature in the atmosphere is missing (KUSI News online, November 8, 2007).

Czech President Vaclav Klaus, author of the soon-to-be-translated Blue Planet in Green Chains, is on the mark when he warns of the irrationality of the bullish “global warming” industry: “As someone who lived under communism for most of his life, I feel obliged to say that I see the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity now in ambitious environmentalism . . . Let us not scare ourselves with catastrophic forecasts, or use them to defend and promote irrational interventions in human lives”

NASA Administrator Michael D. Griffin, who has professed some skepticism about certain aspects of global warming research, especially with regard to theoretical computer models that tend, as he says, to run before they have learned to walk, was startled to realize that “you can’t express any sort of contrary opinion or a comment without it being treated almost as a religious issue” (Newsmax.com, March 17, 2008). The doxastic progression here is: science-politics-religion. To use Irving Kristol’s word, human beings are, whether we like it or not, “theotropic” beings.

Indeed, the metamorphosis of politics into a debased form of religion may be the bedrock definition of that otherwise debatable term, “fascism,” further specified as “ecofascism” by Janet Biehl and Peter Staudermaier in their book of that title.

Who really selects the candidates for President?

No Gravatar

I guess you can look at this a couple of ways. One way is that the party puts forth any candidate they want by any rules they dictate even if it means changing the rules in the middle of the game. So watch out who you allow to run the party. Why nut case Howard Dean is allowed to run the Democratic party is beyond me.

The other way of looking at it is that the primaries are really a national election and that each vote should count. In that case it did not happen in two heavily populated states with the democrats.

It is also true that the Media was working to promote one candidate over the others making the outcome much more favorable to their liking. If the deck is going to be stacked by the hard Left socialists in power positions we might as well be in Russia. Democracy in that case is nothing but a facade to make people think that they have control when all control really comes from the power elite’s ability to misinform the people and give out selective information to manipulate.

Now you know why all surviving candidates of the major parties for President are socialists in a middle right nation. And you know why the Media is lining up behind the most Far Left socialist of them all. So much for Democracy in America!

Dems take cue from the Soviets

How many times on Saturday did we hear the phrase that should make every free citizen shiver, “The true Will of the People.” “We know what the voters of Michigan or Florida intended to do, because we have the exit polls, or we have the MSNBC poll, or we have the anecdotal evidence.” Instead of simply counting votes, which is the only fair thing to do with votes in any election anywhere, the members of the Democratic Party Rules Committee deem it in their purview to decipher votes, interpret votes, translate votes – anything but count them! Then, to add fantasy to falsehood, they insisted on conjuring votes that were never even cast. After all, so goes their illogic, if voters didn’t show up who otherwise would have, its up to the committee members to discern how they would have voted if they did.

The fact that this committee of self-appointed commissars met at all with the intention to nullify or change election results is appalling enough. The additional fact that the media were silent in the face of this monstrosity is cause for grave concern.

Studying the tapes of Russert, “Meet the Press,” MSNBC, Chris Matthews, CNN and the political consultants at CNN, one will discover the frequent instances where these most interested partisans announced the primaries over, anointed Obama and called on Clinton to quit or repeatedly echoed the calls of those who did.

Then there are the proceedings of Saturday’s committee, replete with phrases, quotes and assertions that are nearly word for word identical to proceedings of the Soviet Central Committee, texts from meetings of the Comintern and speeches from Fidel Castro or the Sandinistas. Long live the dictatorship of the Proletariat!

If anyone has shown their true colors in this election season, it’s the left-wing radicals who control the Democratic Party and their partisan allies in the press.

Consensus of scientists sign “Oregon Petition” declaring no evidence of man caused global warming

No Gravatar
It should now be clear to anyone who is rational that there is no consensus of scientists that claim that man or CO2 is the cause of global warming. Quite the opposite, the consensus is among the doubters. Try getting 32,000 people to sign anything. To get this many signatures from scientists with over nine thousand of them having PhD’s has to be a world record. It tells me that a whole lot of scientists are fed up with the lies coming out of Al Gore’s and our politician’s mouths.

Now, do you really think the national media is going to report this? They will not because they are hyping global warming for elitist global governance and tax and regulations over everyone. It has nothing to do with global warming.

American Thinker Blog: Are 32,000 Scientists Enough to Question Global Warming ‘Consensus?’

The National Press Club in Washington will today release the names of as many as 32,000 American Scientists who reject not only Kyoto-style greenhouse gas limits, but the very premise of manmade global warming itself.

“How many scientists does it take to establish that a consensus does not exist on global warming?”

32,000 scientists have now signed the “Oregon petition,” which states that

“We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.”

Sixteen years ago, the Rio event attracted over 7,000 journalists who dutifully spread the word of man’s inhumanity to his habitat to an appreciative world. Will today’s official announcement of 32,000 men and women of science who, by their physical signature, reject mankind’s guilt capture any media attention at all?

Or, for that matter, that of climate experts Gore, Boxer, Lieberman, Warner, Clinton, Obama, or, most despicably — McCain?

Church Norris for Chucktatorship of America

No Gravatar
Church Norris has my vote but I don’t know why he need it. He should just go in kick butt and establish a Chucktatorship. Its not like we really have a Republic anymore. It is a elitist Mediaship that needs guidance from a roundhouse.

If I am elected vice president

Last year I enjoyed taking a momentary respite from my rather serious cultural and political commentary to share my tongue-in-cheek campaign promises in the column, “If I am elected president.” Since I didn’t make that political cut, I decided to weigh in on the vice presidency this year. The timing seems particularly apropos, not only because of the ongoing election but on account that the Washington Post is currently running a new Chuck Norris facts contest.

It really doesn’t matter whose presidential ticket I ride on as vice president, since America will be a Chucktatorship when I step into office. If I am elected vice president, I promise to unilaterally fulfill these pledges within my first 30 days in office:

My greatest goal in my first 30 days in office, however, will be to force oil cartels to cut gas prices in half immediately, or they’ll find themselves missing in action in Siberia.

Do I have your vote?

The polar bears hot ice is a snow job for global governance

No Gravatar

Here is another view besides my own earlier comments about Interior’s decision to make Polar Bears an endangered species. Marc Sheppard makes it clear that it is going to allow the radicals to get the power that they want to ban everything they want to ban.

Meanwhile ABC showed another one sided propaganda piece on polar bears and seals in today’s news report. I am sure all the major media is following suit with the possible exception of Fox.

Science is not driving the agenda. It appears to be liberal idealism gone amok I do not know if these people actually believe this nonsense or if they just want to believe this nonsense. It is probably some of both. Of course the real power behind the movement is big money and elitist power brokers. In the elitist ideal world all 100,000 enlightened people allowed to live on their perfect planet besides themselves, would pretend that they are like God in their own animal kingdom. If the common people understood that they are just considered useless eaters or workers they would not be supporting their own slavery and demise.

American Thinker Blog: Protecting Not Polar Bears But Warmist Power

Kempthorne knows full well that the greenie groups that demanded the ESA listing are mostly the same that are pressuring the Environmental Protection Agency to declare CO2 a pollutant under the Clean Air Act. And that they have the lawsuits of 17 states and Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works chair Barbara Boxer behind their ridiculous demands.

Should they prevail, the EPA would, indeed, be in control of airborne carbon. And beyond inevitably materializing the green dream of cap-and-trade by regulatory decree, it would - in confluence with yesterday’s dreadful decision — empower unelected bureaucrats to levy huge ESA violation penalties against “polluters.”

And that’s just for starters.

Now consider this — taken but a miniscule regulatory step further, a family motoring about in an SUV in Texas could be cited not only for polluting under the Clean Air Act, but as their “pollution” has been regulated as a global warming contributor, they could be further fined under the Endangered Species Act for harming the protected polar bear.

Did I mention that penalties for such ESA transgressions can be a maximum fine of up to $50,000 or imprisonment for one year, or both — per violation?

Such - not solar or wind — represents the true power sought by warmists.
