I think “Catholicism for Dummies” book is much needed and way overdue. Maybe they could dumb it down so even Pelosi, Kennedy, and Biden could understand it. That might require that each point of the faith be said in ten words or less. Then if they still do not believe it they can go to Hell.

Most Catholics today believe anything they want and they either do not know or do not care what the Catholic Church teaches (mostly the latter). Pope Pelosi tries to redefine Catholic doctrine by claiming to know more about Catholicism than the Pope and Bishops.

Someone ought to write a book about why Catholics still go to to Mass, communion and confession when they believe nothing at all about what their church teaches. It is not like they got further enlightened by other Christian faiths either. They know nothing of Christianity period. In fact, if the Catholic Church did the discipline that their own doctrine requires of them more than half of the Catholic Church would now be excommunicated. Now you know why they do almost nothing.

WASHINGTON - In an appearance on the NBC program Meet the Press on Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a self-professed Catholic, denied that the Catholic Church condemns abortion.

Pelosi again side-stepped the question, suggesting that the Catholic Church’s current position is only a recent position and that “over the history of the church, this is an issue of controversy.”

The president of the Catholic League, Bill Donohue, responded to Pelosi’s statements on Meet the Press, observing that the Catholic Church’s position on abortion is clear beyond any doubt. “Here is what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says: ‘Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception.’”

He continued, “It also says, ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable.’ Looks like Pelosi didn’t study the subject long enough. But not to worry: We are sending her a copy of Catholicism for Dummies today.”

Pelosi concluded her appearance by contradicting another doctrine of the Catholic Church by advocating contraception. Contraception is officially condemned by the Catholic Church as “intrinsically evil.”

One can dismiss the ravings of a local elected official, but not the nearly identical outburst this week from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

The good senator opined that “coal is making us sick, oil is making us sick – we’re ruining our country, we’re ruining the planet.”

All the labor-saving devices of the Industrial Revolution, all the wonders of its successor in innovation, the Technological Revolution, all the marvels of the last century in transportation, communication, medicine and entertainment – all made possible by the increasingly creative use of oil, coal, and natural gas. All of it swept aside as “ruining the planet.”

Sen. Reid: Your statement is a monstrous lie, and what’s worse, a reflection of a growing madness in the American political ruling class.

But first, Sen. Reid, stop the madness. If you really believe (with my county supervisor) that we must stop using all coal, natural gas and oil, then you have become the Mad Hatter of American politics. Please step aside for new leadership capable of rational thought and bipartisan problem solving.

James Hansen of NASA is totally out of touch with most of the rest of climate scientists. It is amazing that such a buffoon speaks for NASA. The idea to blame fossil fuel companies is laughable, what does he expect us to use for energy?

I dare them to bring this court. It will backfire in their faces. The science is there to refute man caused global warming but over 95 percent of the money now comes from those who blame man for global warming. Just give the oil companies a good reason to put up their money to present the real evidence and we will soon get this carbon monkey off of our back. One could only hope that Hansen gets his wish and that large fossil fuel companies are put on trial. Only then will the global warming fraud be
exposed for what it is.

It is not like Hansen does not have a vested interest since he was one of the people that started this man caused global warming hype twenty years ago. Now we are seeing that the earth is actually cooling and he is in panic mode claiming a conspiracy of doubt by the energy companies. I thought you might like to read a good story about how things are going south of the boarder. It looks like the whole Mexican nation in on the brink of anarchy thanks to drugs and the bought and paid for local law officers. You need to understand this because this is really Al Gore’s cap and trade scheme brought to every individual. The only thing negative the British government has to say about it is that it is ahead of its time. In other words, we have not completed the brain washing project yet and don’t have the bureauacy in place yet but we will, and right now some might even oppose us.

Make no mistake about it, carbon rationing is what they want for all the people of the world. They want every product to be regulated by government and this carbon scheme will allow them to do that because there is carbon produced in the manufacturing or use of just about everything on earth.

This is really rationing of everything on earth under one global governance umbrella. They will try to make it seem not too bad at first and then they will keep turning the screws. In the end, only the elite rich will be able to buy all the credits they want and criminals. While us poor peons will be limited to the crumbs that they allow us.

What does this mean to the poor? Think about just a few of the implications:

• Meat will have high carbon credits and meat will be out of your price range.
• Heating and air conditioning of your house will be limited and set at the temperature that they dictate.
• Gasoline and Diesel will be rationed unless you can buy the carbon credits at ten times the rate.
• Electricity will be rationed
• Travel will be very limited and long distance travel will only be affordable for the rich
• building permits will have to pass the carbon test. That means no more limited use buildings like churches.
• The size of your house will be limited unless you can afford construction and utilities at ten times the rate
• Those who exhale CO2 and are not productive like the sick and the dying might be allowed to die
• Pets will only be allowed if you can pay the huge carbon fee imposed and the increased price for their food.
• All products will become much higher in price to pay for the manufactures use of carbon
• cook outs and campfires will be outlawed or priced out of existence.

That is just a fraction of one percent of the things that the control freaks will come up with if you allow this world insanity to spread. Also think about the Gestapo that will be created to enforce every aspect of your life. Notice that they will force you to carry a carbon rationing card, next they will force you to take the chip if you want to buy or sell. All this to stop the world from “possibly” increasing the temperature of the earth by .3C over the next hundred years.

Frankly, if you allow anything like this to come into being to save the planet from this non existent carbon and global warming threat you might as well just check yourself into the loony bin and save the rest of the world from your insanity.

If that sounds like harsh wording it is meant to be. This global warming hype with the regulations they propose is the greatest danger to this planet that the world has ever seen. Every adult should be forced to use a ‘carbon ration card’ when they pay for petrol, airline tickets or household energy, MPs say.

The influential Environmental Audit Committee says a personal carbon trading scheme is the best and fairest way of cutting Britain’s CO2 emissions without penalising the poor.

Under the scheme, everyone would be given an annual carbon allowance to use when buying oil, gas, electricity and flights.

Anyone who exceeds their entitlement would have to buy top-up credits from individuals who haven’t used up their allowance. The amount paid would be driven by market forces and the deal done through a specialist company.

MPs, led by Tory Tim Yeo, say the scheme could be more effective at cutting greenhouse gas emissions than green taxes.

But critics say the idea is costly, bureaucratic, intrusive and unworkable.

The Government says it supports the scheme in principle, but warns it is ‘ahead of its time’.

The idea of personal carbon trading is increasingly being promoted by environmentalists. In theory it could be used to cover all purchases - from petrol to food.

HOW THE SCHEME WOULD WORK

Every adult in the UK would be given an annual carbon dioxide allowance in kgs and a special carbon card.

The scheme would cover road fuel, flights and energy bills.

Every time someone paid for road fuel, flights or energy, their carbon account would be docked.

A litre of petrol would use up 2.3kg in carbon, while every 1.3 miles of airline flight would use another 1kg.

When paying for petrol, the card would need to swiped at the till. It would be a legal offence to buy petrol without using a card.

When paying online, or by direct debit, the carbon account would be debited directly.

Anyone who doesn’t use up their credits in a year can sell them to someone who wants more credits. Trading would be done through specialist companies.

I thought you might like to know what even moderate climate legislation will cost you. Keep in mind that they will be implementing these costs in a time when America’s standard of living is declining because of our massive debt and we will probably be in an extended depressive time due to our population imbalance - (the baby boomer’s will all retire, scale down and there will be less GDP at least when adjusting for inflation.)

So yeah the Lieberman-Warner bill is absurd but it will probably pass because most people are now out of touch with reality, and yeah you can expect a standard of living much like those in Mexico in the future, and yeah you will deserve it if you do not do something about the passage of this bill that tries to fix a global warming problem that does not even exist at your expense.

Climate-control absurdity

So how would Lieberman-Warner affect our economy? Start with something we can all relate to: personal income. Under the bill, income in the U.S. would drop significantly, starting in 2012, from a decline of more than $30 billion that year to $121.9 billion in 2016. Or, to put it another way: All other things being equal, by 2016, the annual household income for a family of four would fall by $1,494 – about what that family pays now for two months of food.

Gross domestic product would start to take a nosedive in 2012 as well. By 2030, GDP would be $436 billion less than it would be if the bill hadn’t become law.

Energy prices would spike, too. Heating oil would go from $2,120 annually per household in 2012 to $2,728 by 2030. Over the same period, electricity would rise from $1,213 per year to $1,860, and natural gas would go from $1,090 to $1,393. By 2030, the Heritage researchers write, “the total energy bill for the average American consumer has gone up $8,870.”

How would Lieberman-Warner affect employment? The Heritage analysis shows that annual job losses exceed 500,000 before 2030 and could approach 1 million. Factory jobs would decline sharply; we’d lose 2.3 million jobs in durable-goods manufacturing in 2029 as the changes forced the economy rapidly away from that sector.

Here is an inconvenient truth about those inconvenient politicians who are the cause of the rising food prices and food riots all over the world.

Al Gore’s inconvenient food riots

Al Gore took it. It’s an “Inconvenient Truth,” says Al, “that the gasoline that runs our cars is ruining the planet, causing global warming.”

Responding to this threat, about 30 percent of the U.S. corn crop last season was diverted to ethanol production, mandated and subsidized by the government. The goal was to use less gasoline, reduce CO2 emissions and lessen our dependence on foreign oil.

After all the cost and effort, gasoline use was reduced only about 1 percent. However, corn prices shot up, causing a ripple effect for all food products containing corn from flakes to tortillas. Then wheat prices went up, too, because less wheat had been planted to make room for the mandated and subsidized corn.

In spite of these consequences, the all-but-tied Democratic presidential contenders, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton advocate more biofuel production. Both would expand the 2005 mandate to 36 billion gallons by 2022, rising to 60 billion gallons by 2030. With the Iowa (corn growing state) primary looming last January, Obama advocated expanding the federal mandate for corn-based ethanol, and Clinton switched her 2005 opposition to mandates to support.

The Republican nominee, John McCain, lost the Iowa primary, famously opposed to biofuel mandates and biofuel subsidies and tariffs. He would abolish the $.51 per gallon subsidy the federal government pays to fuel blenders for using ethanol and the $.54 per gallon tariff imposed on imported ethanol, such as Brazilian sugar cane based ethanol.

Meanwhile the higher price of gasoline costs the average American family an additional $1,500/year.

Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama – when will you realize the damage your ideas have done to every American consumer?

The net effect on consumers is pain at the pump and at the supermarket. And the pain doesn’t get any easier knowing that it’s largely self-inflicted.

Here lies the problem of communism, socialism, liberalism or whatever else you may wish to call it. It takes from those who are responsible to subsidize those who choose to live irresponsibly. Pretty soon for obvious reasons the number of the irresponsible are increasing and the responsible are decreasing. By the next generation their are enough irresponsible people to vote in irresponsible leaders who spend far beyond the means of the nation for the continuing increasing benefits of the irresponsible citizens. After another generation or two the nation is totally bankrupt and it fails. We are very near that point now in the U.S. The life span of socialism in a republic can only be a few generations.

Subsidize what kills you?

Contemporary
America puts a high value on personal moral license – so much, in fact,
that government subsidizes the results of our behavior. The public
costs associated with treating and preventing sexually transmitted
diseases are hard to fathom, let alone the millions in taxpayer dollars
devoted to abortion. And those are just two examples of many.

That’s the trouble with a citizenry that seeks a government solution to every problem. Income redistribution is simply a catalyst for punishing one taxpayer for the poor choices of another (assuming the other even pays taxes). A young man who waits to have sex until he is able to support a wife and child is penalized in favor of his friend who chooses the path of loose living.

Take health care as another example. Government-run care, and the inevitable tax increases associated with it, would have the effect of punishing the healthy since those who exercise and eat right could pay out significant amounts but receive fewer services than couch potatoes and fast food aficionados. Government subsidies always encourage the activity being subsidized.

America is swiftly drowning in a sea of decadence, and taxpayer dollars are paying the way for many of the worst offenders. Such a system can’t endure for long. We’re concerned with rising gas prices and a falling dollar, and rightly so, but what about tax policies that promote cultural decay?

The real horror story in world economic system is derivatives. It is a monetary gambling scheme using IOU’s backed by almost nothing. Those who buy derivatives are gambling and they use this phony paper wealth to create investment bubbles all over the worlds. Right now they are driving up commodities. When the derivative bubble bursts no government has anywhere near the resources to keep it from spiraling into financial Armageddon. it will bring the end of the world economic system. It is this bubble that keeps all the Federal bankers up nights. At some point this house of cards will crash the whole system.

In short, despite Buffett’s clear warnings, a massive new derivatives bubble is driving the domestic and global economies, a bubble that continues growing today parallel with the subprime-credit meltdown triggering a bear-recession.Data on the five-fold growth of derivatives to $516 trillion in five years comes from the most recent survey by the Bank of International Settlements, the world’s clearinghouse for central banks in Basel, Switzerland. The BIS is like the cashier’s window at a racetrack or casino, where you’d place a bet or cash in chips, except on a massive scale: BIS is where the U.S. settles trade imbalances with Saudi Arabia for all that oil we guzzle and gives China IOUs for the tainted drugs and lead-based toys we buy.

China and India have reported massive finds of frozen methane gas off their coasts, which they hope will satisfy their energy needs. But environmentalists fear that tapping these resources could have adverse effects on the world climate.

If people made the choice to buy used items or not buy at all their would be a massive depression in the US. Many people who choose to buy will buy from a black or gray market and the government would get nothing.

23 percent is really 30 percent if you do the math correctly and that will not even cover it. Now put state and local sales taxes on top of that 30 percent and you are talking about a 40 percent tax on everything you purchase. Like I said the Fair Tax is a recipe for a depression. Imagine buying a house, car, pill, groceries or anything else that suddenly costs 40 percent more.
