China and India Exploit Icy Energy Reserves

No Gravatar

Now here is a real answer to the energy needs of the world not burning corn made ethanol. There is more of this Crystal Meth in the earth then ever can be used and no I am not talking about the drug. Ignore the part of the article talking about the threat to climate there is no such thing.

China and India have reported massive finds of frozen methane gas off their coasts, which they hope will satisfy their energy needs. But environmentalists fear that tapping these resources could have adverse effects on the world climate.

Mitt Romney said to be a Liberal by Christian leaders

No Gravatar
Mitt Romney’s record is very Liberal. I don’t know why anyone would think that this cult leader would have a sudden conversion. “Lips Law” seldom fails. (what a candidate promises he will do the opposite when elected)

“For some bizarre reason the mere fact that Romney’s never been divorced and goes to a temple regularly is supposed to negate the fact that he’s extremely liberal,” said Harvey. “He used his Republican and Mormon identity to push through radical policies on gay marriage, abortion and pro-homosexual school programs that Ted Kennedy always dreamed about.”

The Fair Tax will cause a depression

No Gravatar

This person has it mostly wrong. The fair tax will be a disaster and he proves my point.

“Finally, remember that under the Fair Tax, you and I get a choice as to
when we get taxed. If we choose to save our money or buy a used item instead of a new one, there is no tax. If you buy a less expensive item, it has a lower amount of tax. Buying used clothing, used cars, used furniture, etc. can help the elderly avoid taxes in many instances as well. Many already make such frugal choices as it is and the fair tax would reward that.”

If people made the choice to buy used items or not buy at all their would be a massive depression in the US. Many people who choose to buy will buy from a black or gray market and the government would get nothing.

23 percent is really 30 percent if you do the math correctly and that will not even cover it. Now put state and local sales taxes on top of that 30 percent and you are talking about a 40 percent tax on everything you purchase. Like I said the Fair Tax is a recipe for a depression. Imagine buying a house, car, pill, groceries or anything else that suddenly costs 40 percent more.

I will be cutting down on my Blogging

No Gravatar

Trying to keep three Blogs and a website going at the same time has been taking more hours a day then I have available. Typically I go through about 25 news and information websites taking about 8 hours each day to read, post and comment on material that I found. All the blogging only brings about 10 percent of the new visits to my website. I could accomplish the same increase to my website by writing 5 well thought out articles. So this much blogging is not the most productive use of my time.

So, as of today I will not be posting any more articles on Koenig’s Interesting Articles Blog and I will be deleting that Blog in a few months.

I will still post on this Blog and my Bible prophecy Blog but I will not be posting as many posts per day on this Blog. What I do post will be more selective.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Sex is for married men and women

No Gravatar

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: “Sex if for adults” - JPost.com: America is talking about teen pregnancy. Britney Spears’s baby sister Jamie Lynn, all of 16, is pregnant. The father, her 19-year-old boyfriend Casey Alridge, who may or may not face statutory rape charges for having sex with a minor, is someone she met at church.

No surprise here. Neither the church or “Christian” parents teach their kids biblical manhood and womanhood. And yet this is so important. Our God is a God of order, not the humanist principle of “equality”. Man was created first, then the woman, to be his helper. It’s the woman that lead the man to sin. Both are equally valuable to the Lord and Jesus’ sacrifice is for both men and women, but that does not take away the fact that men and women are different. They do have different roles in church and the family, and to some extent in society as a whole.

I have experienced a very similar issue in my own family. These days, if you go to the evangelical church every Sunday, attend prayers on Wednesday evenings, and are active in youth activities and even have your own “Christian” punk or whatever music band, you’re considered part of Christ’s body. Basically, this lukewarmness comes down to salvation through works! And because of this lukewarmness, people that know nothing about biblical manhood or womanhood, that are not spiritually mature or not even really Christian yet, date others in church and their parents think it’s okay. Well, one of my sisters has been deprived of her virginity because of this. I felt hated by her as her older brother while she was in this relationship, because I felt responsible for her well-being and never liked the 19 year old guy she had this relationship with from age 15~16. Problem is, my parents approved of the relationship which made it difficult for me to prevent this from happening. I felt miserable for this reason when I found out about my sister having been abused this way.

God is NOT democratic. His will is absolute; He is holy and does not change. Man-made philosophies like Feminism are rebellion to God and the fact that the majority of the Western world thinks it’s okay does not make it right (moral relativism). Rather, it illustrates the depravity of humans. The fact that even the church is embracing these relativist and humanistic principles strongly indicates that we are in the last of days.

Sex is the most powerful of all human activities. It brings in its wake a tidal wave of emotion, enough to cement two total strangers together as bone of one bone and flesh of one flesh. But when that wave hits you, you better be pretty darn anchored or there is no telling where you might wash up.

THAT IS why sex should be practiced by adults only and within the confines of a devoted and secure relationship where there is no possibility for abuse. It’s way too intimate for strangers and it’s way too overpowering for kids, even big kids like teenagers.

Read this article and judge for yourself whether God is a ’sadist’, or a wise and loving Father in condemning adultery and teaching us His ways. Mankind is arrogant to think it can live without God.

I’d also like take the liberty of linking to the article “Jezebel in our Society“. It’s from the Albatrus.org website, which I personally have found an eye-opener in many respects and overall a very biblical website with a radical message that has put me to think some things over. I’m not saying I agree with everything in there, but then there will always be some discussion and disagreement. I nevertheless strongly recommend it.

Merry Christmas everyone and a blessed New Year. And thank you Don for your website.

‘He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.‘ — Rev 22:20-21

Lynne Spears’ book delayed indefinitely

No Gravatar

NEW YORK - Lynne Spears’ book about parenting has been delayed indefinitely, her publisher said Wednesday. Lindsey Nobles, a spokeswoman for Christian book publisher Thomas Nelson Inc., said Wednesday that the memoir by the mother of Britney Spears was put on hold last week. She declined to comment on whether the delay was connected to the revelation that Spears’ 16-year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn, is pregnant.

What gets me in all this is that a major Christian publishing house wanted a book by the mother of Britney Spears. Did Thomas Nelson (who by the way owns the rights to the New King James Version of the Bible) really think that the mother of Britney, and now 16 year old pregnant Jamie Spears was the authority on parenting? Were is Dr. Spock when you need him? Thomas Nelson better do some very quick PR to clean-up this mess they got themselves in!

Donors pledge $650M for Palestinian aid

No Gravatar

PARIS - Donors began committing funds from around the world Monday for the moribund Palestinian economy amid a renewed international push for a Palestinian state, with the European Union promising $650 million in 2008.
if Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad is asking for $5.6 billion over three years. U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged the international community to fulfill the Palestinian needs and more.
“What we must do now is work together before the end of 2008 for the creation of an independent, democratic, viable Palestinian state,” French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the meeting’s host, said in a speech to representatives from nearly 90 donor countries and international organizations.
Meanwhile, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Monday that he has ruled out dialogue with rival Islamic militant Hamas, and that without international support Gaza is “heading into disaster.”

And you still do not believe we are in the last days? The clock is ticking! Tick, Tick, Tick!

Victory Through Fuel Choice

No Gravatar

FrontPage Magazine: “The last days of this session of Congress will feature, among other legislative spectacles, an effort to thrash out a bill that purports, at long last, to address what is arguably our nation’s most serious single problem: energy insecurity. Unfortunately, the product seems certain to be more of a grab-bag promoting favors for special interests and pet-rocks of senior lawmakers (many of which have nothing to do with reducing our consumption of petroleum imported from unfriendly places) than a program for quickly and cost-effectively ending the main source of that insecurity, namely our addiction to oil from dangerous places. This is all the more astounding – and outrageous – since an option for doing just that is at hand. Call it “fuel choice.””

Historian: First English Bible Fueled First Fundamentalists

No Gravatar

The translation of the Bible into English marked the birth of religious fundamentalism in medieval times, as well as the persecution that often comes with radical adherence in any era, according to a new book. The 16th-century English Reformation, the historic period during which the Scriptures first became widely available in a common tongue, is often hailed by scholars as a moment of liberation for the general public, as it no longer needed to rely solely on the clergy to interpret the verses.
But being able to read the sometimes frightening set of moral codes spelled out in the Bible scared many literate Englishmen into following it to the letter, said James Simpson, a professor of English at Harvard University.
“Reading became a tightrope of terror across an abyss of predestination,” said Simpson, author of “Burning to Read: English Fundamentalism and its Reformation Opponents” (Harvard University Press, 2007.

This nut job author compared the English Reformation as a way to understand Islam. Lets see the Bible preaches love for thy neighbor, Islam teaches “Islam or the Sword” yup they are pretty close. The author also made the statement that in the English Reformation, Protestantism was forced on the English people. Here is a case where a secular author has taken the liberty to reinterpret history. Protestantism was forced on the English people? It could not be because the Catholic Church was killing people because they chose to believe the Bible, I am sure that had nothing to do with it at all. I think this author needs to study real church history not the made up history that some psycho-babble professor from Harvard made up!

Ethanol policy – what a turkey

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Ethanol policy – what a turkey: “Ethanol subsidies are raising our food prices – dubbed the ‘Thanksgiving Tax’ because it upped the cost we paid for Thanksgiving dinner. “

Ethanol is not a significant part of the answer. Short term (the next ten years) the main answer for energy independence is coal but misled environmentalists are fighting it. Long term the answer is solar. Breakthroughs in solar are coming that will make energy cheap in today’s prices within ten to 20 years.

Fear exposed: Iran poised to destabilize Lebanon

No Gravatar

WorldNetDaily: Fear exposed: Iran poised to destabilize Lebanon: “With the Annapolis summit scheduled to begin Tuesday, top Israeli government policy officials have expressed to WND concerns Iran is on the brink of destabilizing Lebanon. At issue is the stalemate over selecting a new president to succeed President Emil Lahoud, whose term expired last week. On Friday, Hezbollah blocked another parliamentary vote for a new president, forcing the U.S.-backed government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora to exert emergency powers and assume the powers of the presidency. “

Palestinians to become citizens of Jordan?

WorldNetDaily: Palestinians to become citizens of Jordan?: “Palestinians to become citizens of Jordan? New plan calls for dismantlement of ‘refugee camps,’ termination of Abbas’ rule”

That is what should be done. These people should be part of Jordan. Obviously they cannot rule themselves.
