“Christian” bird brains

No Gravatar

I guess it should not surprise us that birds of a feather flock together. Just don’t confuse yourself or anyone else by calling yourself an Evangelical Christian. Christians should know what heretical bird brains these people really are, if not they will soon find out.

Brian McLaren: Emissary for Barack Obama to Evangelicals - CWN

I am not a Republican. I am a Christian, and no Republican or Democrat who wars against God’s moral law and defends gay marriage, child killing or using human embryos for experimentation will get my vote. You can take that to the bank. McLaren has no moral compass because he rejects God’s Word as his only standard. You will notice a distinct correlation between those who reject God’s Word and their support for pro-death, pro-gay marriage candidates, and every other cause that is a revolt against heaven. That’s why the emerging church leaders and followers are up to their armpits in Obama campaign materials. When God’s Word gets thrown out, it affects every aspect of our lives and ethics. Ideas have practical consequences for men and nations.

Christian bookstores selling heresy for your Christian discernment?

No Gravatar

I have to agree with Paul Proctor. Can you see Paul asking the elders to gather for a reading of heretical books so that they can teach against them? If I recall correctly early Christians burned such books. Yet, here in this on-line Christian bookstore they just offer any heresy for anyone to read and they justify it by using the disclaimer “read with discernment” or “check everything out with the Bible

Well, looking at the state of the church today, isn’t it quite obvious that discernment is lacking in most of the church? Have you taken a survey of how many people in Christian churches have even read the Bible? I have news, it is not the majority. So can these biblically illiterate people discern what is truth from lies when the author offers 90 percent truth mixed with 10 percent deadly deception?

Perhaps they are buying the book to get some understanding on a current new popular teaching but if they are they really ought to read the writings of Christian scholars who are informed, have checked out the teaching with the Bible and can speak on that issue biblically. Instead, the Christian book stores make it very easy for the uneducated, undiscerning and the gullible to get a one sided heretical view directly from the horse’s-behind.

Often pastors are influenced by these heresies and spread them and even if they have the wisdom to reject the teachings the book usually still ends up in the church library for others to read.

Granted, some scholars will need to read these books to critique the book but they do not need to go to a Christian book store to get the book.

I guess some bookstores see no problem in making money off of deceptive heretical garbage and that is one reason why one deceptive book after another becomes a church small group study. After all, the group leader found this interesting sounding book in a Christian bookstore and it does quote Bible verses. Just ask the Oprah clones where they get their books?

The bottom-line is that this is all about the bottom-line. You are certainly free to run your book store anyway you want but if you are knowingly selling heresy maybe you should not call your business a Christian book store.

Paul Proctor — LifeWay says: Read With Discernment

Apparently, this is what they came up with to justify offering their third-party distributor’s problematic products through their search engine - just claim they are “relevant,” “of value” and “strictly” for the benefit of pastors, seminary students and ministry leaders doing “critical study or research.”

Since when are pastors, seminary students and ministry leaders immune to the seductive and intoxicating words of false teachers? If swayed with unbiblical instruction, worldly philosophies and pragmatic principles, will they not pass them along to their unsuspecting brothers and sisters in Christ who trust them for solid scriptural guidance?

Then what do you suppose happens when a concerned church member speaks up and challenges the erroneous teachings that are brought in from said leadership? Well, I can tell you that all too often they’re accused of causing division and disunity in the fellowship by questioning the leadership’s authority and wisdom and are promptly shown the door.

What a great way to undermine the Gospel and initiate a paradigm shift in the overall direction and purpose of the church, wouldn’t you say? And to think it can all be carried out under the radar because the instigator pulls it off with a book he or she writes that makes it into a church they never even have to visit to persuade.

Or is LifeWay just postulating these excuses because it’s easier and cheaper than having to perpetually police their third-party distributor’s offerings for the protection of customers?

Moreover, where did Jesus, Paul or any of those from the early church tell us in scripture that it was permissible to reward the enemies of Christ with our patronage for purposes of “scholarly study?” Seeing as that money goes to help support their causes, enhance their lifestyles, advance their agendas and further spread their erroneous teachings, wouldn’t that make gullible customers not only “partakers” of their “evil deeds” but also cosponsors of their erroneous endeavors as well?

But, if this is to be LifeWay’s template for handling controversial publications, then why not offer the works of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Alice Bailey, Anton LaVay, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and Larry Flynt for “scholarly study?” Just imagine the list of infamous names and titles that could be assembled under this stated rationale.

Better yet, why not just take the word “Christian” out of LifeWay’s name altogether? That would free them up to “be all things to all people” and spare those who don’t shop secular bookstores a lot of confusion and calamity.

You see, the heart of the problem is this:

Many of today’s Christian bookstores, like the countless crowd-pleasing churches and ministries out there, unequally yoked themselves long ago to gurus, groups, businesses and organizations that do not share their values and convictions to get the numbers up. Try as they may to justify it with pragmatic reasoning and evangelistic goals, it is still in direct opposition to the Word and Will of God. And until they recognize this and repent of it, the situation will not improve.

Wright on everything

Wright on, Ann Coulter!

Obama campaign gives up on finding ‘Mr. Wright’

Rev. Wright also put into context his church giving an award to fellow Obama supporter Louis Farrakhan by saying: “He is one of the most important voices in the 20th and 21st century. That’s what I think about him. … I am not going to put down Louis Farrakhan.”

Why did Rev. Wright’s supporters think it would be helpful to hear longer versions of the “snippets”?

Curiously, Rev. Wright complained that “everybody wants to paint me as if I’m anti-Semitic because of what Louis Farrakhan said 20 years ago” – especially those damn East Coast, money-grubbing Jews, he carelessly added. This from a man whose entire oeuvre is based on reveling in what happened in this country 250 years ago.

Obama’s hate speech against biblical morality

No Gravatar

Here you have it from the horses own mouth. Obama will support repealing the Defense of Marriage Act, open homosexuality in the military and hate speech laws.

That means everyone will have to recognize homosexual marriage and government and businesses will have to give benefits to help support their perverted lifestyle and will not even be allowed to complain about it. Americans will have to hire homosexuals for even religious positions and keep their mouth shut about biblical morality. You certainly will not be allowed to tell the pagans that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

If this man is the leading contender for President what does it say about America? If he gets elected, America will actually divide, not unite.

I can just see it now…. Gay pride military parades on Veterans day and when anyone protests they will be arrested by cops in drag for hate speech. If your not getting the message that the world is increasingly going insane it is not my fault.  If you do nothing about it you will have to live with it.

Obama promises ‘gays’ ’strongest possible bill’

Along with repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and implementing “fully inclusive laws outlawing hate crimes, he says, it’s important to bring “the message of LGBT equality to skeptical audiences as well as friendly ones, and that’s what I’ve done throughout my career.”

Putting down white people for the black advancement of a few.

No Gravatar

These race baiting leaders love putting down people with different skin colors. It puts them in the limelight. You can always find a following if you speak hate to those with bigoted ears. That is exactly what they the Wrights of the world do. Obama should know the spiritual source of hate but obviously he has a spiritual discernment problem and really wanted that radical support base to help launch his political career?

How can Obama lead the free world if after twenty year he still cannot lead himself out of a church that dwells on a gospel of hate.

OK, Obama, let’s have the race ‘talk’

“You really like putting down white people,” I continued. “What, is this some sort of payback for slavery?”We argued into the night. I saw an America full of promise and hope, and she saw only barriers with little sign of improvement.

Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, similarly seems downright joyful in attacking America, blaming the government for AIDS and drugs, and attributing the Islamofascist attacks of 9/11 to America’s racism.

Obama’s justification for support of abortion and homosexual unions is the Sermon on the Mount

No Gravatar

Damn Obama, read the context, you do not know what you are talking about. The Sermon on the Mount was telling the children of God how they are to treat others in the Kingdom, it was not telling the children of God how they should treat all the sinners in the world. But what should we expect from a heretical universalist who thinks that everyone will be saved? There also is nothing obscure about that passage in Romans and similar words about homosexuals are found in other places in scripture. The scriptures clearly indicate that those who continue flaunting these sins showing that they will not repent of them will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

ewsmax.com - Obama: Sermon on Mount OKs Same-Sex Unions

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told a crowd at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, Sunday that he believes the Sermon on the Mount justifies his support for legal recognition of same-sex unions. He also told the crowd that his position in favor of legalized abortion does not make him “less Christian.”"I don’t think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state,” said Obama. “If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans.” (See video here) St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans condemns homosexual acts as unnatural and sinful.

Watch out for the coming global mind change

No Gravatar

From politicians to the church it is now all about change. Rethinking and paradigm shift talk is coming from church pulpits. Does this change movement fit into a global mind change? Are the “Christian” shape shifters about to bring a change to Christian thought and practice to fit the worlds expectations?

“God is birthing the greatest spiritual awakening in the history of the church.” … “Reinvent yourself for the 21st century or die.”[1] Pastor Leonard Sweet, Soul Tsunami

“A new civilization is emerging in our lives, and blind men everywhere are trying to suppress it. This new civilization brings with it new family styles, changed ways of working, loving, and living, a new economy, new political conflicts, and beyond all this an altered consciousness…” [2]Alvin and Heidi Toffler, Creating a New Civilization

“By deliberately changing the internal image of reality, people can change the world.” [3, p. 157] Dr. Willis Harman, Global Mind Change

CHANGE!  However hollow its promises, this common catchword does bring an illusion of unity. For even the most diverse politicians, pastors, managers and media masters across America seem to agree on this point: Change is essential to their own success.

Huckabee Stands By Kenneth Copeland

No Gravatar

Huckabee Stands By a Televangelist - TIME: “Presidential campaigns love to put their candidates in the company of influential evangelists. And the advertisement on page 44 of the December issue of the religious magazine Charisma was probably planned with that in mind. It shows Republican hopeful Mike Huckabee, sitting at a table with Texas-based Kenneth Copeland on the Believers Voice of Victory set, next to a bowl of fruit and an open Bible. The ad invites viewers to ‘tune in as’ the two men ’sit down for six days of frank discussion on the biblical perspective of character.’ The ad quotes Huckabee: ‘Character is who we are when nobody’s looking but God.’ “

“In the meantime, Huckabee is standing by the Copelands. In an e-mail message to TIME, Huckabee maintained, “Kenneth and Gloria Copeland are about the most gracious, authentic, and humble people I know and I consider them dear friends. They have brought hope to millions and have operated with the utmost integrity as far as I know. I have found them to be as warm and genuine in their private moments as they are in their public moments.”

This is too much! All Christian leaders are going insane. Huckabee, a baptist preacher is standing by the chief guru of the name-it-and-claim-it Word of Faith heresy. Mike Huckabee says that the Copeland’s have brought hope to millions of people. I guess the hope he is talking about is “Hope Arkansas” where Huckabee came from, because the Copeland’s have brought nothing but delusion and heretical teachings to millions of people.

If Mike Huckabee does not have the Christian understanding to judge major heresy how in the world can he lead this nation? I had some problems with Mike Huckabee to start with but this latest revelation is the end of my support for him. Unbelievable! Mike Huckabee gets my Demented Delusional or Dumb Club of the week award for standing with heretics and expecting true Christians to vote for him . Congradulations Mike!

Saudi Arabia is hub of world terror

No Gravatar

Saudi Arabia is hub of world terror - Times Online: “wealthy Saudis remain the chief financiers of worldwide terror networks. “If I could somehow snap my fingers and cut off the funding from one country, it would be Saudi Arabia,” said Stuart Levey, the US Treasury official in charge of tracking terror financing. Extremist clerics provide a stream of recruits to some of the world’s nastiest trouble spots. An analysis by NBC News suggested that the Saudis make up 55% of foreign fighters in Iraq. They are also among the most uncompromising and militant. “

“School textbooks still teach the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a notorious antiSemitic forgery, and preach hatred towards Christians, Jews and other religions, including Shi’ite Muslims, who are considered heretics.
Ali al-Ahmed, director of the Washington-based Institute for Gulf Affairs, said: “The Saudi education system has over 5m children using these books. If only one in 1,000 take these teachings to heart and seek to act on them violently, there will be 5,000 terrorists.””

“In frustration, Arlen Specter, the Republican senator for Pennsylvania, introduced the Saudi Arabia Accountability Act 10 days ago, calling for strong encouragement of the Saudi government to “end its support for institutions that fund, train, incite, encourage or in any other way aid and abet terrorism”.
The act, however, is expected to die when it reaches the Senate foreign relations committee: the Bush administration is counting on Saudi Arabia to help stabilise Iraq, curtail Iran’s nuclear and regional ambitions and give a push to the Israeli and Palestinian peace process at a conference due to be held this month in Annapolis, Maryland.
“Do we really want to take on the Saudis at the moment?” asks Bronson. “We’ve got enough problems as it is.”

We deal with the soldiers coming out of the nest but we won’t kill the queen. We got terrorist problems because we are not dealing with the root of the problem.

Warren challenges Baptists to promote peace worldwide, starting in Texas

No Gravatar

Warren challenges Baptists to promote peace worldwide, starting in Texas: “Pastor Rick Warren, presenting a keynote address at the annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas has encouraged Christians once again to ‘establish the kingdom of God’ here on planet earth. Warren is well known for a three-legged stool plan designed to implement his global PEACE plan. Warren learned about such a plan from his mentor Peter Drucker, a well known consultant who promoted church growth methods focused on a market-driven Christianity. Warren’s three-legged stool plan has three legs - business, government and the church. “

There should be no doubt now that Rick Warren is a dominionist as well as an emergent “SHAPE” shifter. He has now changed the first meaning of the original meanings of his acronym P.E.A.C.E. of his global Peace Plan.

Planting churches is now replaced with promoting reconciliation. With who? Rome? Heretics? Muslims? Pagans?

Barack Obama believes we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.

No Gravatar

CNN.com - CNN Political Ticker Obama: GOP doesn’t own faith and values «: After speaking to an evangelical church on Sunday in this traditionally conservative South Carolina city, Sen. Barack Obama said that Republicans no longer have a firm grip on religion in political discourse.
“I think its important particularly for those of us in the Democratic Party to not cede values and faith to any one party,” Obama told reporters outside the Redemption World Outreach Center where he attended services.

” I just want all of you to pray that I can be an instrument of God in the same way that Pastor Ron and all of you are instruments of God.’ He finished his brief remarks by saying, ‘We’re going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.’

The above link was taken down hours after it was posted by Matt Drudge but what Obama said can also be viewed at
http://stoptheaclu.com/archives/2007/10/07/obamamessiah-create-a-kingdom-on-earth/

Barack Obama claims that Republicans no longer have a firm grip on religion in political discourse, that is true. Most Evangelicals would say they are Christian and not religious. Religious people tend to try to get to heaven based on there own good works which is quite impossible. Christians on the other hand, get to heaven based on what God already did in His Son.

It is very telling that Barack Obama would attend a heretical “Word Church” with a name it and claim it prosperity gospel. Two people he phrases in his speech have serious problems of their own. Bishop Jakes is a heretical oneness pentecostal that denies the Trinity or at least he will not affirm it. Rick Warren is so interwoven with world psychology and power brokers that it get rather hard to sort out what gospel he is now preaching. The gospel he preaches in his church and the purpose driven seeker friendly movement that he started, is really a watered down gospel that preaches a gospel of self fulfillment for want-to-be successful baby bloomers.

Obama said that he is confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth. That view is heretical dominion theology. The Bible does not teach that the Church is going to bring a Kingdom on earth before the return of the King. Follow my links for more information on these subjects.

One thing Word People, Warren and Obama all seem to have in common is the idea that religion is going to bring a paradise to this earth. This view all ties in with the Harlot of Revelation that rides the Beast Kingdom of the Antichrist into power.

The only faith these people have in God is what God is allowed to do through the works of mankind. Thus, they make God dependent on the sinful choices of sinful men. The reason they do this is that although they claim a relationship with God they deny His power. Obama does not understand or believe the scriptures or he would not be taking positions of being pro choice, pro homosexual, pro socialist and anti fundamental Christians.

All this says wonders about the apostasy and the lack of discernment of the mega church pastors like Warren and Carpenter when they allow someone with Obama’s anti Christian values to speak from their pulpit to deceive their sheep. The motivation they have for doing so is certainly not coming from God.

The great divide between true Christians and pseudo Christians is that true Christians trust in God while pseudo Christians trust in the works of man. One is a belief of faith the others is a religion of works. Obama clearly thinks he knows better than God or does not believe the Bible is the word of God. In either case he in not to be instructing the Church. Obama is clearly a globalist secular humanist who puts on the airs of Christianity for his own convenience.

Obama and all those pastors and church boards who let him preach in their church have earned the Demented Delusional or Dumb Club of the week award. Congratulations, one and all!

6 Ark. nuns excommunicated for heresy

No Gravatar

6 Ark. nuns excommunicated for heresy - Yahoo! News: “LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Six Catholic nuns have been excommunicated for heresy after refusing to give up membership in a Canadian sect whose founder claims to be the reincarnation of the Virgin Mary, the Diocese of Little Rock announced Wednesday”

Now here is a good reason to excommunicate people from any Church. They know what their church teaches, yet they choose to follow a cult teacher who claims to hear directly from God but teaches doctrines of demons that is contrary to clear teaching of the scriptures. We have similar heretics in the Protestant churches as well. Mostly in the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement and the Protestant cults.

Hot tempers on global warming

No Gravatar

Hot tempers on global warming - International Herald Tribune
why is the tone of Sharon Begley’s cover story - nine pages in which anyone skeptical of the claim that human activity is causing global warming is painted as a bought-and-paid-for lackey of the coal and oil industries - so strident and censorious? Why the relentless labeling of those who point out weaknesses in the global-warming models as “deniers,” or agents of the “denial machine,” or deceptive practitioners of “denialism?” Wouldn’t it be more effective to answer the challengers, some of whom are highly credentialed climate scientists in their own right, with scientific data and arguments, instead of snide insinuations of venality and deceit? Do Newsweek and Begley really believe that everyone who dissents from the global-warming doomsaying does so in bad faith?

Anthropogenic global warming is a scientific hypothesis, not an article of religious or ideological dogma. Skepticism and doubt are entirely appropriate in the realm of science, in which truth is determined by evidence, experimentation, and observation, not by consensus or revelation. Yet when it comes to global warming, dissent is treated as heresy - as a pernicious belief whose exponents must be shamed, shunned, or silenced.

Newsweek is hardly the only offender. At the Live Earth concert in New Jersey last month, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. denounced climate-change skeptics as “corporate toadies” for “villainous” enemies of America and the human race. “This is treason,” he shouted, “and we need to start treating them now as traitors.”

Some environmentalists and commentators have suggested that global-warming “denial” be made a crime, much as Holocaust denial is in some countries. Others have proposed that climate-change dissidents be prosecuted in Nuremberg-style trials. The Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen has suggested that television meteorologists be stripped of their American Meteorological Society certification if they dare to question predictions of catastrophic global warming.

The elite Left think that they are more highly evolved and as the enlightened rightful rulers of this planet they believe they know absolute truth (that they would also deny exists). Anyone who disagrees with the absolute truths spouted by leftist Gurus is a threat to their delusional belief system and needs to burned at the stake as heretics. The reason why their truth always turns out to be a lies is because they hear only from the father of all lies. They get their light from the Prince of Darkness and this is why they are always found on the dark side of every issue.

Chuck Baldwin’s Spin on Romans Chapter 13

No Gravatar

Chuck Baldwin — Romans Chapter 13: “Did Moses violate God’s principle of submission to authority when he killed the Egyptian taskmaster in defense of his fellow Hebrew? Did Elijah violate God’s principle of submission to authority when he openly challenged Ahab and Jezebel? Did David violate God’s principle of submission to authority when he refused to surrender to Saul’s troops? Did Daniel violate God’s principle of submission to authority when he disobeyed the king’s law to not pray audibly to God? Did the three Hebrew children violate God’s principle of submission to authority when they refused to bow to the image of the state? Did John the Baptist violate God’s principle of submission to authority when he publicly scolded King Herod for his infidelity? Did Simon Peter and the other Apostles violate God’s principle of submission to authority when they refused to stop preaching on the streets of Jerusalem? Did Paul violate God’s principle of submission to authority when he refused to obey those authorities who demanded that he abandon his missionary work? In fact, Paul spent almost as much time in jail as he did out of jail. “

In none of these examples by Chuck Baldwin is there any hint of rebellion against the authority that God put in place or any open disrespect shown toward the leader of the nation. Who said the killing of the Egyptian was godly? It cost Moses forty years in the desert. What could have God done through Moses that forty years had he not killed the Egyptian? Moses did not kill all Egyptians apparently he just had a problem with people beating slaves. Moses was really the one in authority anyway. Moses was in high position in Egypt, he was the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.

In this article Baldwin places the word constitution in Romans chapter 13 in every place where Paul talks about government authority as if the constitution is the appointed authority that Paul was telling us to submit to. That would only make sense to someone who thinks the US constitution was inspired by God which I assume Baldwin would affirm. That of course is ridiculous in the sense that he would use the word inspired.

Baldwin believes that with American Christians the constitution becomes the government authorities Paul told us to submit to. It is amazing to me that anyone can believe that being in submission to rulers appointed by God can somehow mean submitting to a document written by some “infallible” men. That we had to amend many times over the years. According to that constitution “We the people” are the ones who appoint authority in this country “We the people” do not become the representative of God that we appointed to that position of authority.

Attacking those we put into power and making them all part of a satanic conspiracy that we have to oppose is bull. This is a form of heretical American dominion theology. Get back to preaching the gospel Chuck because you will reap what you sow.

It is one thing to take a stand for what is godly and it another thing to foster rebellion against government and spread lies and half truths about authorities. I guess Chuck Baldwin cannot see the difference.

Evangelicals’ letter backs PA state

No Gravatar

Evangelicals’ letter backs PA state Jerusalem Post
“Many evangelical Christians throughout the United States support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and seek ‘justice’ for both sides, reads an open letter to US President George W. Bush published in Sunday’s New York Times. “

“According to the letter’s authors, both Israel and the Palestinians had rights to the land of Israel that stretched back “millennia.” Both sides, the letter said, had committed acts of violence. Only a lasting peace agreement, the letter exhorted, would end bloodshed and ensure that each side had a “viable” state. To this end, the letter’s authors expressed their support for the road map peace plan, and endorsed former British prime minister Tony Blair’s efforts in his new role as the Quartet’s Middle East envoy.”

The list of the signatories makes it clear that this letter is from a bunch of replacement theology dominionists. They do not represent those who take the Bible literally. The Bible clearly says the land of Israel was given to descendants of Israel forever. Yet, the letter from them says that the “Palestinians” had a right to the “land of Israel”. They contradict themselves in their own letter! They first call it the “land of Israel” and then say the “land of Israel” also belongs to non Israelites. The solution they endorse is not a solution since Islam is violently opposed to Israel and always will be until Jesus returns. There can be no lasting peace in the Middle East before the return of Jesus!

They allegorize Bible prophecy so that what God says about this issue has no meaning for them. Therefore, they think Christianity through human effort will bring peace to the world and therefore it is their reason for this letter. Their theology is heretical so they take these unbiblical positions and prove how foolish Christians can be that fail to understand their own scriptures.
