The coming Kosovo Catastrophe in the Balkans

That the way I see it.

The Kosovo Catastrophe - HUMAN EVENTS

It is hardly a conservative policy to support the establishment of an Islamist state on the European continent, turn a blind eye to the well-documented persecution of an ancient Christian community, engage in a Woodrow Wilson-style passion for nation building and follow in the footsteps of Bill Clinton. Yet that is what the United States has done by recognizing the independence of Kosovo.

Recognition of Independent Kosovo bad idea

All too true.

U.S. recognition of Muslim-dominated Kosovo labeled ‘bad idea’ (OneNewsNow.com)

Lt. Col. Maginnis (USA-Ret.) believes it was a bad idea to recognize an Islamic country being created in the middle of Europe. “I think we’re incredibly naive. Ninety-plus percent of Kosovars are Albanians and of Muslim belief,” he indicates. “They have desecrated the Christian shrines in that area. They’ve chased most of the Christians out.”

According to Maginnis, the United States is defending a Muslim country
where most of the inhabitants would be more likely to slash Americans’
throats than pat them on the back.

The rise of ethnic nationalism

No Gravatar

Pat sees great danger for those who get in the middle of the new rise of ethnic nationalism in the world. If America wants to be bogged down in one war after the next the best way to do that is to take sides in each ethnic group’s call for their own nation state. When the existing nations are weakened by ethic nationalism it will bring violence all over the world.  We have given ethnic nationalism a kick start with our short sighted support of an independent Kosovo and now we will take sides against the Serbs and get ourselves in another sorry situation. The possibilities of this being repeated elsewhere in the world are endless.

The return of ethnic nationalism

Americans, writes Muller, “find ethnonationalism discomfiting both intellectually and morally. Social scientists go to great lengths to demonstrate that this is a product not of nature but of culture. …”But none of this will make ethnonationalism go away.”

Indeed, we see it bubbling up from the Basque country of Spain, to Belgium, Bolivia, Baghdad and Beirut. Perhaps the wisest counsel for the United States may be to get out of the way of this elemental force. Rather than seek to halt the inexorable, we should seek to accommodate it and ameliorate its sometimes awful consequences.

And we should look to our own land. According to Pew Research, there will be 127 million Hispanics here by mid-century, tripling today’s 45 million – and almost 100 million new immigrants. No nation faces a graver threat from this resurgence of ethnonationalism than does our own.

Dumb actions in Kosovo bring bad consequences

No Gravatar

Dumb actions have bad consequences. The blunder of dividing a nation is going to be a major problem for NATO forces and a show of power from Serbia and Russia might be the next move.

Serbian settlers plan partition of Kosovo - Telegraph

Kosovo, the world’s newest state, is facing a partition of its territory only a week after it unilaterally declared independence from Serbia.Serbian settlers demonstrate against Kosovan independence
Serbs in the ethnically divided city of Mitrovica demonstrate against Kosovo’s independence

The mostly Serb-populated northern region around the divided town of Mitrovica, next to the Serbian border, has begun preparing a de facto secession from the newborn country that Serb officials consider “illegal”.

On Friday, the bridge on the Ibar River that divides the Albanian and the Serb parts of Mitrovica was closed to traffic, guarded by UN police and Nato on one side, and Serb strongmen on the other.

Kosovo really should be none of our business.

No Gravatar

This article tells you things about Kosovo and the consequences that you will not hear on the major media. It also gives a good analogy were this forced action to happen here rather then in the Balkans.

FrontPage Magazine

Thomas Landen asks in the Brussels Journal. He notes that Moscow has called on the UN to annul independence, and a UN vote may be the only thing to save us from a new world war over this Balkan province, ignored by the media and public for eight years as insignificant, despite the Balkans’ history for setting off world wars.“Indeed,” continues Landen, “what will Russia do if the 16,000 NATO ‘peacekeeping’ troops in Kosovo attack the Serbian army when it attempts to recover its breakaway province? If Russia intervenes, then 2008 might become the year that war broke out between Russia and NATO. America, the EU, Europe’s immigrant ‘youths,’ and Osama bin Laden would find themselves on one side, fighting Russia, China, and those Europeans who resist Islamization on the other.”

Who could have envisioned such a sorry state of affairs on September 12, 2001? The answer is: anyone who noticed that our Balkan policies didn’t change following 9/11.

We are now several years post-9/11, yet our government is creating Muslim states in Europe and is about to engage the United States military against European Orthodox Christians who don’t want to live under Muslim rule.
When did it become the free world’s business to spread Shari’a law, as is always the upshot of any Islamicizing region?

Breaking down national borders to create a world of weak micro-nations

No Gravatar

He is correct there will be secessionists movement in the US but not just because of the illegals in the Spanish Southwest. The big divide will come between social Liberal states and those states that will never embrace godless socialism and will retain Christian values. Or course once secessionist movements start in the US there will be all kinds of them and the Spanish Southwest will also see it as an opportunity for their own nation. The US will not be alone, Pandora’s box was just opened in Kosovo and you will now see secessionist demands all over the world. The weakening of the nations all aids the cause of globalists because it is not in their best interests to have strong national governments.

Still, the analyst contends that the criminal elements of Kosovo are
“moving narcotics out of Afghanistan and distributing them in Western
Europe.

” And he warns that a similar situation could happen in the
United States where illegal aliens have been colonizing large areas of
the American southwest.

“In the next ten years, you’re going to start to see calls for …
independence or secession or autonomy for various parts of Southern
California or Arizona or Texas and the like,” he predicts.

“So these
are very, very real parallels to the situation.”

Copley even predicts that secessionist movements are likely to occur even sooner in European countries like Spain and Greece.

Kosovo: world tribalization and micro-states

No Gravatar

If the whole world follows the example of what just happened in Kosovo we will end up with a world with 10,000 micro-states all having the freedom to carry out their hate feuds against each other. Kosovo could start a Hatfield and McCoy like tribalization of the world.

The Foreign policy of the Bush administration is so incredibly stupid that one might believe that they are just following some diabolical script leading the world to World War III.

With a stoke of his pen, President Bush, by heeding the State
Department’s bad advice to recognize a supposedly independent Kosovo,
has triggered the perfect international storm: shattering the principle
of the territorial integrity of sovereign nations, encouraging violent
separatists worldwide, provoking a needless confrontation with Russia
and other countries, boosting the jihad terrorist and organized crime
threat to Europe and America, and creating conditions for a human
rights and religious freedom nightmare. In terms of far-reaching
consequences, it may the worst blunder of his presidency. Which is
saying a lot.

The coming Balkan wars

No Gravatar

You wonder why we are always at war? Our foreign policy decisions are make by wishful thinking loons. Now we have helped create the next world powder keg. All involved in setting the stage for the coming Balkan wars and the next cold war with Russia richly deserve my Demented Delusional or Dumb Club of the week award. Congratulations!

On Sunday, Kosovo declared independence and was recognized by the
European Union and President Bush. But this is not the end of the
story. It is only the preface to a new history of the Balkans, a region
that has known too much history.

By intervening in a civil war to aid the secession of an ancient
province, to create a new nation that has never before existed and, to
erect it along ethnic, religious and tribal lines, we have established
a dangerous precedent. Muslim and Albanian extremists are already
talking of a Greater Albania, consisting of Albania, Kosovo and the
Albanian-Muslim sectors of Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.

If these Albanian minorities should demand the right to secede and
join their kinsmen in Kosovo, on what grounds would we oppose them? The
inviolability of borders? What if the Serb majority in the Mitrovica
region of northern Kosovo, who reject Albanian rule, secede and call on
their kinsmen in Serbia to protect them?

Kosovo: laying the foundation for a new cold war

No Gravatar
Russia has stressed its opposition to any decision on Kosovo’s
status that is not accepted by Serbia. It has warned that recognition
of Kosovo by the United States and other nations would encourage
separatists in the former Soviet Union, across Europe and around the world.

Russia is widely expected to block recognition of Kosovo in the United Nations and continue backing traditional ally Serbia.
President Vladimir Putin
said Friday that Russia would not “ape” the West, indicating it would
not immediately recognize long-standing independence claims of
pro-Russian separatist regions in ex-Soviet Georgia.

The Russians are correct this is going to make the whole region unstable. I think NATO is making a huge mistake and also building the foundations for a new cold war. When was the last time US foreign policy make sense in any crises area of the world?. It won’t start here.

Promoting the Birth of a Supremacist State in the Balkans

A version of events in Kosovo you are not going to hear from the globalists who love to repeat fascist history

clipped from frontpagemag.com
Albanians are in the midst of completing their land grab from Serbia, a
country whose people ousted Slobodan Milosevic almost a decade ago in favor of
Westward-looking leaders. The acquisition of Kosovo was the goal from the start,
when the Kosovo Liberation Army first began killing Serbs, along with Albanians
and gypsies (Roma) who worked even as postmen for the Yugoslav government or
simply had inter-ethnic friendships or marriages with Serbs. As if getting the
Jews to betray their historical ally and co-victim weren’t perverse enough,
today’s Kosovo is an ethnically purified state, cleansed of almost all of its
minorities: Serbs, Roma, Gorani (mountain Muslims), Bosnian Muslims, Croats—and
Jews.

Before Yad Vashem agreed to feature the exhibit and became an unwitting
enabler of the ill-begotten new “Kosova,” it should have asked why even the last
15 Jews in Kosovo’s capital had to clear out, with just the clothes on their
backs, when the KLA stormed their homes in 1999.

Rewarding terrorism, deception in Kosovo

No Gravatar

This article sets some things straight about what happened in the Balkans. The US is helping to create another world crises for no good reason by supporting a independent Kosovo.

“After eight years of searching, evidence of genocide against Kosovo’s ethnic Albanians has not materialized. The number of ethnic Albanians who died or went missing is anywhere from 90 percent to 99 percent lower than the estimates we were given during the war. Although the Serbs were accused of genocide, and the Albanians were said to be their victims, a Serb was three times more likely to be killed or abducted than an Albanian, and Serbs made-up a is proportionately large share of the Kosovo war’s refugees. Kosovo’s ethnic Albanians comprise an even larger share of the population today than they did before the war, which adds up to one simple fact: They weren’t victims of genocide. Kosovo was a war over territory that pitted ethnic Albanian secessionists in the Kosovo Liberation Army, or KLA, against Serbian security forces.”

“If the United States supports Kosovo’s independence, we will not only betray Serbia, our ally through two world wars, we will put power in the hands of the self-same terrorists who murdered their own people and conned us into being their air force by claiming, of all things, to be the victims of human rights abuses! “

Kosovo and unintended consequences

No Gravatar

The globalists after World War I and World War II set up many of the crazy borders we now have in the Middle East and Asia. The borders they set up breed conflict. Now the globalists plan more borders that will breed new conflict. Nothing changes.

“The real problem with these fanciful new ‘independent’ states is that they are not independent at all. Both will be aligned with Islamic world, where freedom, individual liberties and respect for peaceful neighbors and non-Muslim minorities are virtually unknown concepts. This is what happens when globalists start redrawing maps of the world in ways they think are beneficial to them – with or without understanding the consequences of those actions.”

Kosovo train-wreck warnings

No Gravatar

I think we are about to make a huge foreign policy blunder in Kosovo. If we want to start a cold war with Russia and even see a hot war with Serbia this is a good way to bring it about. We are also going to see a new military alliance over this. We are doing this to appease Muslims who are working againts us. It is a huge mistake. We are just making another world crises as if we do not have enough of them.

“Most ominously, Russia with its newfound resurgence under Vladimir
Putin’s guidance has stated its willingness to support Serbia against what
they would consider an illegal occupation of Serbian territory. The current Serbian government is divided on whether it would be prepared to use force to protect its citizens in a breakaway Kosovo, but there have been clear indications that Moscow is prepared to provide military assistance if Serbia requests it.”

“The U.S. seems intent on letting the Serbian province of Kosovo break away and apparently sees the issue of no great importance. Russia on the other hand, sees the situation very differently. Moscow has warned it will not accept ndependence for Kosovo. Mr. Putin has put his prestige on the line. He cannot afford to back down as Boris Yeltsin did.”

“And therein lies the crisis. This is an “optional” crisis. We cannot overlook the fact that the dominant element in the local Albanian administration are commanders from the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army that have known ties to the global jihad movement and organized crime. Further, more than 300 mosques have been built in Kosovo, funded mainly by Saudi Arabia where the radical teachings of the Wahhabi sect are promoted.”

Rice Says Serbia, Kosovo, Will Stay Separate Forever

No Gravatar

VOA News - Rice Says Serbia, Kosovo, Will Stay Separate: “U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday Serbia and Kosovo will never be part of the same country again, and all those concerned should work for a stable outcome in the Balkans based on that reality.”

Never is a long time Miss Secretary. I wonder who made Condoleezza Rice the absolute ruler of the world? I am sure Serbia and Russia would disagree with her statement. It is one thing to state what you wish to happen and it is another thing to declare something temporal to be an absolute truth forever. It is an arrogant statement and it will be seen that way in Serbia and Russia. The main reason why the US gets into so many wars is that leaders in the US want to force everyone in the world to be the way that they want them to be. What Rice is supporting here is also not going to have a good outcome.

Another Balkans battle?

No Gravatar

Another Balkans battle? - - The Washington Times, America’s Newspaper: “Unfortunately, the United States and leading European states chose to insist on full independence. Kosovo would be a multi-ethnic showcase. Serbia would be bought off with EU membership. Russia would be ignored. There would be negotiation, but only as a pretense.”

“The best hope to avert a new, and possibly violent, breakdown in the Balkans is for both Washington and Brussels to tell Pristina “no” on independence. But they must do so quickly.”

When the West tries to fix a civil war by taking sides and forcing their own terms for peace they usually make things worse in the long term. This is not going to be an exception. The real tragic thing is that the military of the US and NATO always reap the consequences of stupid foreign policy decisions of their politicians. As if we do not have enough conflict we now will help stir up another one.

Russia warns of ‘consequences’ for Kosovo

No Gravatar

Russia warns of ‘consequences’ for Kosovo - Telegraph: “However, Russia - which historically has been a strong supporter of Serbia - issued a stark warning to the EU, suggesting that it ‘think very carefully about the consequences’. ‘In that case [of the EU supporting a unilateral bid for independence], those countries would be violating international law, and we will not support the violation of international law,’ said Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. ‘I want to stress that UDI of Kosovo and recognition of such independence will not remain without consequences,’ he continued. ‘It will create a chain reaction throughout the Balkans and other areas of the world.’ “

Russia is correct. If the EU wants a new war in that region and a new Soviet Union they are on the right course to help bring it about.

NATO warning over Kosovo violence

No Gravatar

NATO warning over Kosovo violence - CNN.com: “The deadline for a United Nations-brokered peace deal on its future expires this weekend. It is widely expected that diplomats will announce Monday they have been unable to secure a deal after four months of negotiations. An adviser to Serbia’s prime minister ratcheted up the rhetoric Thursday, telling Serbian state television his country would defend its sovereignty ‘using all means’ at its disposal.”

This is another spot where the world’s solutions have not solved anything in the long run. Does NATO actually think it can force peace with 16,000 troops?

The EU Constitution Arrives by Stealth

No Gravatar

American Thinker: The EU Constitution Arrives by Stealth: “A dozen Eurocrats have openly admitted the constitutional fraud in the press, including Giscard d’Estaing, the author of the old, superfatted Constitution that was solidly voted down in France and Holland, the last time the voters were asked to give their humble opinions. They are not being consulted this time around because they dared give an answer the eurocrats didn’t like.

This is the continent that gave us Nazism, Prussianism, Stalinism, Francoism, Petainism, Napoleonic Gaullism, Serbian genocide, and welfare Socialism in the last century alone. It has originated nearly all the major international wars of the last 200 years. It has silently enabled genocide in Rwanda, Sudan, the Congo, Cambodia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, China and Kosovo. It is currently being penetrated and infiltrated by the third major totalitarian ideology of the last hundred years, oil-fed Wahhabi Islam, resulting in years of car-burning riots in France, subway bombs in London, and a reign of terror on college campuses from Spain to Norway. Europe is not just Switzerland, folks, with a strong and stable government. It is a continent with an endless history of turmoil and bloodshed.

So if you’re a European and know you’re being massively lied to about the most important political choice in your lifetime, would you just turn over on your couch and go back to sleep? Because half a billion Europeans are doing exactly that. It’s stupefying. “

Europe has become apathetic and lazy. The vast majority in Europe are godless and almost all are now dependents of the government. The EU is the perfect recipe for a fascist state. There is no way to keep more than 27 nations together with a democrat government. Therefore, the EU government will increasing use force to implement their socialist agenda on each member state. One day soon Europeans will wonder where sovergnity or democracy went? The control freaks took it from you because you thought unity would bring prosperity and security. Instead the socialist globalist control freaks used it to take everything from you. Hail Europe!
