America has not taken adequate action to protect herself from foreign and domestic enemies so she probably will not survive as a superpower much longer. America has a very strong military but domestically it is totally vulnerable to asymmetrical attacks that could result in the death of up to 90 percent of all Americans.
It would not take much to take down America’s electrical grid and then all hell breaks loose in America. America is already on the verge of civil lawlessness in the cities thanks to accommodation and appeasement of lawlessness and people who hate our nation. These enemies of America are not ignorant of our weaknesses. They are making plans to bring America down.
America can’t fight much of a foreign war when she has no operating infrastructure and the cities are burning. Russia, China, Islamists, North Koreans and Marxist globalists know the key to taking America out of the picture is taking down the electrical grid. They have made plans to do that because taking down America’s grid is not very hard to do. The vulnerable electrical grid is our Achilles heel. One to three nukes over America will do the job. It also can be done with a cyber attack or by using direct sabotage by agents already in America.
Russia is rapidly modernizing their military. It should be ready to roll west around 2025. China is doing the same thing. Either nation could launch an EMP attack over the United States right now if they were willing to risk the consequences. North Korea has nuclear weapons and has capable ICBM’s and is even now threatening America with an EMP attack. The EMP capabilities of Iran probably exist or will soon exist.
The warnings about this danger to our grid have been loud and clear for over a decade but government does nothing to fix the vulnerabilities. The military says it is a civilian issue and our politicians show that campaign dollars from the power company lobbies is more important to them than America security. I guess everyone in America will soon reap the consequences of the feckless people that they elected to office.
You might wonder how America survives what is coming? I frankly do not think America as we know it will. Most of us will not even know who suddenly turned out the lights. Nevertheless, all Americans could be thrust into 19th century conditions without 19th century infrastructure and with ten times the population. America is not Puerto Rico, nobody is coming to bail us out when the electric grid fails.

Maybe instead of living carelessly like the majority, the more prudent Americans best find out. The Bible does not mention electricity and certainly does not guarantee electricity to those depending on it carelessly.
God said during the Gog war He will send fire on those living carelessly in the Isles (Ez 39:6). The word “Isles” means those living in the sea-lands. America is living carelessly and certainly qualifies for receiving that fire. If the fire comes from a Russian nuclear missile attack on America, it certainly would take out our electrical grid.
America is not in Bible prophecy, so she probably does not survive as a superpower into the tribulation picture. In fact, the EMP on America and her removal from the equation can be the catalyst for the riding of the horsemen of Revelation.
Some Christians will say the Rapture will come first. It certainly might. Let’s hope so. The Rapture causing the weakening of western nations might even be the reason Gog gets the idea to come against Israel. Even so, it is false security to believe that the overwhelmingly Laodicean Christians of America escape their own carelessness by being taken in the Rapture. It seems that much of America has bought into appeasing or accommodating every evil under the sun. Apathy toward evil by the majority Laodicean population has national consequences.
In any case, I think we can be sure that one of our enemies will attempt to take our grid down within the next few years while most Americans just continue to live carelessly. If not North Korea or Iran it will be Russia or China or even someone else. I don’t know and nobody can know how successful any such EMP attack will be on taking down our grid. I do know that it is already too late to protect our gird from an EMP for the rest of this decade. We could protect the grid by next decade if we had the will to do so. However, careless people could care less about their carelessness so that does not seem likely.
Laodiceans of Biblical days and Laodicean Americans of today believe they are living high on a hill and were secure so they did nothing to protect themselves from the enemies climbing up their backside. Laodicea fell, and is a city no more. Babylon fell and is a world power no more. The writing on the wall for America says, “enemies intend to knock your lights out so you better wake up”.

There is at least one power company I know of that is upgrading systems, lines, substations, and installing a sensors to monitor for fluctuations. Not sure if it’s enough to withstand the likes of EMP, but something is better than nothing I hope.

After 9.11.2011, I remember what those in the Islam community said…they said, We (Islam) will take down America from within, this (9.11) attack only delays America’s demise as it puts them on alert.
We saw in videos, 7-11 Islamic Store owners jumping on their counters celebrating the 9.11 attack and even interviews of very young Islamic females calling American women whores (see Tom Brokaw interview with classrooms).
We did not, as a nation, get the message, did we.
After all the “We will never forget” rhetoric that lasted about 6 months tops, we then started seeing Islamic empathy and Islamic non-profiling as a rule…or law. How many times did we see Americans at airports going through intense interrogations at airports because Airport security could not target Islam in the name of “Racial Profiling”.

Its good to see some action being taken by the states and the Pentagon but until they protect high voltage transformers and electronics these improvements are not going to keep the infrastructure operating after an EMP attack. I have been pondering and relentlessly preparing for your above CHILLING PARAGRAPH since I became totally convinced it was coming sooner rather than later…just after Obama was reelected as our well-deserved POTUS. (I took it as the start of impending judgement).
I believe we have some time to prepare (I don’t have a mouse in my pocket I mean sane Christian Preppers, talk about a narrow gate leading to a narrow gate) no matter the timing of the Rapture. That, I will not take for granted no matter how many believers are oblivious to suddenly living in the 1890’s as 21st century vanished technology/wealth fodder)…but not much time is left for the lone Superpower who will become irrelevant during the prophesied 70th week.

I read the articles linked above. I see only lame efforts countering natural events at best and the defense related article looks like deceptive marketing literature – even 2020 is too late. I keep thinking that any attempts at hardening will only spur an attack on, as the hardening should have been accomplished a decade ago. All the real government related efforts are more geared to population containment (use your own phrasing to read between the line).
Not that I want to play judge (or maybe I do), but the careless Laodiceans are going to miss the rapture if it were to happen (before or after).
I can logically place the rapture at various junctures in my head. In either case, probably sooner rather than later, I will be in Paradise.
As for events like the Vegas shooter, in my head, I consider that “baby talk” (meaning, there’s much worse to come, probably sooner). Regarding “Calm before the storm”, Trump has no idea what the storm is and no idea that the calm ended before he became POTUS.

You raise a point I didn’t put in my last post that is right on as after the Johnson Amendment in 1952 most/too many of the Church leaders sat down and didn’t want to take a chance on the IRS interrupting them keeping a 100% of the passing of the plate. It was a bold long game bluff by the enemy…and it worked.
Hindsight being 20-20 if We the Godly People would have swarmed the DC Sewer after they kicked God out of school (I was in 6th grade and remember it well) with pitchforks and torches and drew a 1st Amendment line in the sand then and there…they wouldn’t have legalized baby murder in 73 and on and on and on and on.

The grid hardening problem really lies with about half the people in the Senate. The House passed grid protection bills over the years but it never got through the Senate. On the state and local levels many are ignorant and with limited budgets there is only so much they can do. The power companies are mostly worried about their own bottom line.
As far as cyber attack on our grid goes. People at national level know it is a grave threat. Many leaders are saying it is just a matter of when it will happen. Russia and China are already in our grid computers and other players are working on it. There is this tendency to take the easy way out by just ignoring the grid vulnerabilities.
It is so very certain that the American grid will fail. The world is fallen and is falling ,faster and faster. America deserves what ever happens to it. The marriage supper of the LAMB APPROACHES. Make sure you are wise and your lamp is full of oil. This wisdom must be obtained from God and not your own understanding. You must read Job28:28/Proverbs 3:5.

Don, China has been preparing for our destruction for decades. They have built what we call ghost cities but in my opinion are newly built modern cities that can hold tens of millions of people built to relocate their citizens after swapping nukes with us. They have also built over 3000 miles of deep underground nuke proof tunnels to save vast numbers of its populous. China figures after we trade nukes (we will not bomb empty ghost cites) and all our major cities are destroyed along with our power grid they will simply move all their survivors from the tunnels and move them into brand new cities. God will have the final say so on man’s plans and I still do not see how you can read Revelation 17 and discard that America in not being written about. Verse 6 speaks of God’s holy people who were witnesses for Jesus and the Catholic Church can hardly live up to that verse. We are the only country that the all the kings of earth have fornicated with except maybe China and why would John call it a mystery, because we did not exist yet. I am not dogmatic about chapter 17 but I find it hard to just discount the possibility. I agree that China is preparing for a war with the U.S. but as you ought to know there is no way that America killed the prophets and the saints. You say it will happen in the future but Rev 6:11 suggests that this entity is the one that also killed saints in the past. Only religion qualifies over the millennia. Bible prophecy is not about America.
As I said, Rev 6:11 explains that the woman that killed the saints in the past will kill the saints in the end time era. Only religion qualifies because the woman is a harlot that fornicates with the kings of the earth. Nations are represented by Kings (male). Those that fornicate with nations are women. Religion commits harlotry by abandoning the husband that she claims (God).
The Roman Church has diplomatic relations with almost every nation on earth. She even has a seat at the UN. Rome also sits on seven hills and she sat ruling the world when the prophecy was given to John. I can’t buy into America being Babylon because America does not fulfill the scriptures about Babylon in Revelation or in the prophets. That does not mean that America cannot be destroyed suddenly. If you must find America in Bible prophecy, Isa 18 is a more fitting match.
