WWJD about LifeWay dominating SBC Sunday School Bible studies?

LifeWay now teaches almost all group studies within the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and many other churches as well. Sunday School “teachers” in most SBC churches are actually facilitator’s for LifeWay publishing house materials. Most Sunday School leaders do not know the Bible well enough to teach it and most church boards would not allow them to depart from using LifeWay materials even if they did. LifeWay studies seemed to be designed to not rock anyone’s theological boat. Pastors and church leaders trust LifeWay to not offend anyone with their inoffensive Gospel that avoids controversial passages and Bible prophecy.

I have taken a position against replacing real Bible studies with LifeWay magazine studies for more than a decade and I express why in this article that I wrote over ten years ago.

Heresies and cults are rooted in Bible passages twisted into allegory

The Bible contains allegory, but when it does it also is evident in the passage. Along with legalism I think there is a strong correlation between the practice of twisting Bible passages into allegory and heretical teachings and cults.

We can look at the history of Christianity since the apostles and we will see a reoccurring pattern between allegory and heresy. The first heretics of Christianity were legalists that wanted to put Jews that found the Messiah back under Jewish law. Soon after, we know that Gnostic heretics became a plague within Christianity. They made scriptures allegorical so it would comply with their old and new mystical beliefs.

12 steps to Laodicea

I of course believe the Lord’s seven letters to seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 had meanings to the seven historical churches that the letters are addressed to. Even so, the seven letters also gives instruction to all believers. I also believe that these letters are prophetically addressing the seven eras of the Church age on earth.

In the prophetic application Jesus is talking to the predominate visible Christian identity on earth. The letters are in chronological sequence. Jesus speaks prophetically to each person within these seven visible identities through the words in these seven letters.

For the purpose of this post, I will just reflect on the prophetic.… continue reading

Alt-right and racists are not synonymous but Leftists keep pushing for civil war

Americans and even Christians in America are using the jargon invented by radical leftists. The Southern Baptist Convention overwhelmingly just condemned the alt-right. Do the people in the SBC who voted against the alt-right even know that alt-right is a term made up by the left to ostracize those that do not agree with the Republican establishment.

Alt-right to leftists are those that support the Tea Party, constitutional government, nationalism and biblical values. The left and mainstream media believe people like Cruz, Paul, Palin, Bannon, etc. are leaders of the alt-right. They say news sites like Breitbart, WND, American Thinker, FrontPage, Info Wars, etc., are alt-right.

American spring perspectives for 2017

An American spring perspective for the time that is almost 2000 years from the Lord’s resurrection!

The actions of President Donald Trump are making people wonder what comes after his first 100 days. Will he put tens of thousand of ground troops in Syria and get us involved in another ground war? Will more of America’s finest come back in body bags for no good reason? Will Trump bomb North Korea and get us in a war with them?

Will president Trump dump the conservatives and move toward the establishment and neo-con worldview? What will Donald Trump do? I do not think anyone has a clue.

Don Koenig refutes Hebrew Roots works theology

An article by Rod and Hillary Thomas, quoting part of a featured article of mine, was posted on itsnotasyouperceive.com website. The website appears to be a Hebrew Roots website. These two people also founded the Qumran Family Church in Denver Colorado. My article was written to explain how one is saved. Since this is a critical salvation issue, I will respond to what they said. The full article I wrote is found here. It is in the featured article section of my website.

You might want to first get some information about the Hebrew Roots movement. The following articles should help.

Pastor/hirelings teaching presumption or twisted scriptures rule churches

2Ti 4:1  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

As some of you know I have moved and I am now on a quest to find a new church.

Shamans and Appeasers are Leading Christendom

As most of you know, I recently moved to a new location. I have been trying to find a biblical Christian fellowship in my area to attend but these days it is difficult to find an evangelical church anywhere that is not led by shamans or hireling appeasers. Should Christians attend a congregation where wolves in sheep clothing and hireling appeasers lead the congregation? I think not.

The Shamans Leading Christendom:

The shamans leading Christendom are the leaders in or that are highly influenced by Word of Faith, New Apostolic Reformation and Hyper-Charismatic/Pentecostal spiritualism. Just a short time ago the shamans were still on the Christian fringe but today they have infiltrated mainstream Christendom.

Mankind displays human depravity in world religions

I obviously cannot cover all world religion in one short article but I think that I can adequately convince most real Christians that mankind displays its depravity in world religions.

Human Depravity in Christendom

About a third of the world identify as Christian but most in Christendom never had a spiritual rebirth into the body of Christ. These false Christians are self-deceived. The proof that they are false Christian is that in one way or another they are still trying to earn their own salvation. False Christians have not been born of the Spirit. They are still dead in their fallen fleshly depraved human nature (Col 2:13, Eph 2:1-2, Eph 5:8, Rom 3:23, Rom 5:12-15, Ps 51:5, Gen 6:5, Gen 6:11, Mk 7:21, Jer 7:9, Ecc 7:20 Gal 5:17).

Seventh-day Adventism is not Orthodox but Trump is?

Recently Donald Trump took a shot at Dr. Ben Carson by implying that Carson’s Seventh-Day Adventism was not mainstream and might not be accepted by evangelicals as being within the orthodoxy of Christianity while also implying that Trump is a mainstream Christian. While it is true that the denomination is believed to be a cult by some, most Christian scholars say they are within Christian orthodoxy.

What is it that this denomination teaches that makes some Christians question the orthodoxy of Seventh-Day Adventists? Also, Trump should have known that it is not wise for those in glass houses to throw stones.
