I guess the proof will be the end results in the Ukraine. We have confessed born again leaders right here in government as well and look at the state we are in. Many people say they are born again Christians and then prove by what they support that this is highly unlikely.

Actually comparing Mormonism and Word Faith is appropriate at least the Word Faith I know of in the States. Both preach a different Jesus, Both have self anointed prophets, both teach that men will become or are gods and both have cult like legalistic control over their congregations.

The sinful lifestyles of Word Faith leaders just reflects their spiritual condition. Yet, these are your anointed leaders, so much so that Word Faith people let them Lord over you and hang on their every word?

You saying that every believer is "Word Faith" by playing on the words "word" and "faith" is silly. Everyone including yourself know that "Word Faith" or Word of Faith" are the identification words for a movement of people who believe you can speak realities into existence. So don't be glib. "Word Faith" is very much the identification words for a neo-denomination led by people with specific theological training.

Quoting the same verse in multiple bible versions proves nothing. You twist the verse because you use it to imply that God intends to redeem everything on the earth because the earth is His. He does not intend to redeem the evil works of Satan and his children on the earth. Yet you imply that God intends to take back worldly kingdoms. First of all, God never lost anything that was His, and second, God has no use for this fallen world other than to redeem out of it the people who are His.

You talk about dominion because you believe in dominion theology. The theology is wrong. I wrote a long article on what is wrong with dominion theology so I will not rehash it here. I am sure the article will step on some sacred cows of yours.

http://www.thepropheticyears.com/comments/The%20woman%20on%20the%20beast%20in%20end%20time%20prophecy%20has%20dominion%20theology.htm

I will just say that you dominionists put a different meaning on the word dominion then the Bible implies. Dominion is not the loss of legal authority over the earth to Satan that now has to be gained back by man.

What does what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 28 got to do with trying to take back a fallen world for Christ? The commission in chapter 28 is to go out into all the nations and bring all that the Father has given Him into His body. It is not to go out into the world because by doing so the world cites and nations will then conform to Christ. Where did Christ even take a city for Christ? It can't be done until the harvest because there are always tares growing with the wheat.

I admit that you can't broad brush the Word Faith movement as if all of them are as bad. Each church and each person in each church differs. Some are pretty sound biblically and some very much believe just like pagans. I would think that where you are not corrupted by the big media preachers you would be more biblically sound. However as a whole the movement is pretty short of being biblically grounded. The Word Faith Mega churches in the US and Korea are built on grave error. One problem we might have in communicating is that the Word Faith movement might mean something different in different parts of the world.

Word Faith people are saved if they were saved by grace through faith. I cannot judge that people are not saved that confess Jesus. I can say when people go beyond what is taught in scripture and go off into presumption they are not building on the house of God with gold silver and precious stones. I also will say that those who lead the sheep into error and set such a bad example to follow in their personal lives are probably really wolves in sheep's clothing.

We should try to be examples to the world of Godliness but being an example does not bring a world that willfully hates God to love Him. In fact, living a godly life always brings persecution to the person trying to live it. If the Church goes out to the world as it should to let their light shine to men it can also expect persecution from the world and not the promised land on earth. The Church is not going to bring the world into repentance from sin any more then Jesus and the early saints did. We are in a spiritual war but any ground we take are measured in men's souls not in temporal, cities, nations and kingdoms.

Another thing you domionists seem to act like the Church has not been doing anything to influence the world for two thousand years. That is an insult to the members of the body of Christ and to the Holy Spirit that worked through them. If the Church had not been working all this time restraining evil it would have self destructed long before now.

I do not disagree with you about the state of the Church today and if you get your pew sitters motivated to do something all the more power to you. I think we are in the church age of Laodicea. The apostasy and fleshly self centered condition of those identified with the church was prophesied to occur in the last days. Like harlot Israel so goes her Harlot daughter. If you can keep Christians working until Jesus comes then you have a noble calling but today too many leaders are departing from the true gospel into harlotry to conform to a universal religious belief. They have become many different aspects of the same phony gemstone.

If that is all that Pastor Sunday is advocating in his book then I say all the more power to him. I have not read the "Shift" and from the article I quoted it all sounds more like a shift toward the heretical emergent church movement that loves to use that word. I also was not thrilled that the book was endorsed by a Oneness Pentecostal.

Anyway, it seems to me that you are trying to do what you believe is right. I pray that God will guide you.

In the former athiestic ukraine, the seating of a confessed born again president and prime minister, as well as the tranfomational impact on many of those involved in the decadence that followed the fall of socialism is proof that a radial change has come to this once bastian of satan. (many of the least of society, drug addicts prostitutes, criminals are now ministry leaders and leaders in business and government) I have witnessed it first hand.
to compare what you call the Word Faith mega church movement with mormanism is arrogant and misplaced. While I for one decry the practices of the most prominent word faith leaders and thier sinfully obtulant lifestyles (this is one area God is bringing into judgement), every believer comes to Christ by "fatih" in the Word of God ( Jesus) Romans 10:8-10 (so in essence every believer is "word faith" )

Every critic of these faith truths say that there is complicity in twisting phrases and giving meanings that are not implied. The Word of God doesn't imply anything, it simply states it. And it isn't a twisitng to simply state the Word itself in it's true contextual setting and meanings.

For example Psalm 24:1 (in multiple versions)
1 The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
KJV
1 A psalm of David. I The earth is the LORD’S and all it holds, the world and those who live there.
NABWRNT
1 A psalm of David. The earth belongs to the Lord, and everything in it— the world and all its people.
NCV
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
NKJV
1 A psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
NLT
1 The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it;
NRSV
1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein;
RSV

Without even looking deeper into the Hebrew language and definitions the Word of God is clear, The earth, evreything in it and everyone on it are His. No implication or twiisting.

When you said "The earth is the Lord’s by ownership but that does not make everything in it the Lord’s. Word Faith people like to take passages like the one you quoted and put on meanings that were never implied. The world system and its demonic evils are certainly not the Lord’s and the Bible does not say the Church is going to make it the Lord’s."
How is this possible? It is a contradiction, unless you look at the truth of dominion. In Genesis God declared man's dominion on the earth that He created and He owns (gen 1:26-28) This statement of the will and intent of God over mankind was not rescended because of Adam's sin. This is the foundation and the crux of the idea of dominion.
The mode of dominion- I agree that the world will never be fully ruled or dominated by the church in a tyranical, policitcal, dictorial sort of fashion. The world (the sinful systems of fallen man) will wax worse and worse,( and I am sure you know these truths better than I)

. But according to Jesus own words in Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ?“?All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ?19? ?Go ??therefore and ??make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ?20? ?teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ?with you always, even to the end of the age.?.

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to GO, MAKE DISCIPLES, OF ALL NATIONS
Go, out of our churchs and it's egocentric, self serving and selfish system (while using the local fellowship as a training and nuturing discipleship tool Eph 4:11,12)
Make disciples, (to teach, instruct, to follow precepts and instructions)
of all Nations (ethnos) Gentile, heathen, nation, people. tribe

The idea that word faith people do not preach the gospel of salvation is a fallicy, many of us do and we do it according to the Word of God and it would be consistent with fundamental Christian thought and practice. A person must be born again, by grace through faith and exhibt a life of godly sorry and repentance in order to enter God's family (rom 10:9,10 John 3:3, Eph 2:8-10 etc.)

The mode of "taking the city or the world" is not in the way of governmental control, or brute force and war, or overt or covert political action. But by every child of God, having been discipled and instructed in a life of goldiness, holiness and righteousness, then penetrating the "world" where they invade thier shpere of influence(buisness, family, education, arts and entertainment, government, media, religion) with godly(kingdom, righteous) values, virtues, thoughts, practices and principles. Thus lovingly and passionatly imposing the "superior" kingdom (godly, righteous) ways of God on the world. touching people with the love, truth and power of God. releaving suffering and injustice all the while proclaiming the uncompromising truth of a Holy God and His Savior and soon returning Son Jesus.

I am a pastor of over 25 years and I have watched as the people of God even in the church I serve have been forced simply to attend church services and functions only to serve in local church housekeeping duties(many are leaving the church out of boredom and unfulfillment). All the while not understanding(because of a fautly church system) that they have been redeemed by God to go into this world and redeem it back for God. Using thier gifts, talents and knowledge of God and His Word to influence people who in turn will influence society. I am excited by what is happening in the hearts of God's people, they want more than church, they want to please God and serve Him in thier everyday life. All Pastor Sunday is advocating (and I do know him personally) is an activation of the children of God, for pastors and leaders to more aggresively and purposefully equip God's people to move beyond the four walls of our churches and win people and redeem the nations. This is the gospel of the Kingdom.

There is no doubt God will destroy this ungodly and wicked world system, but it is not presumptious for us the "fight the good fight of faith" to join the ranks of the early church as it was said of them "they turned the world upside down"
I am eagerly awaiting the Lord's return, but I will not hide out until He comes, I will watch until He comes (wake” and “be vigilant” . 1 to watch. give strict attention to, be cautious, active. 2a to take heed lest through remission and indolence some destructive calamity suddenly overtake one.)

I appreciatte this exchange, may God bless you as you continue to serve Him

It is kind of hard to know what God has done in the Ukraine when little is published about any real movement of God. I do not consider any Word Faith mega church movement a work of God. No more than a Mormon uprising in the Ukraine would be a work of God.

Apart from this heretical movement what is really going on in the Ukraine seems to be more of a move away from God back toward atheism and the dead Russian Orthodox Church.

One does not have to study the full work of heretical teachers to know the fruit being offered is rotten. If the teacher contradicts or twists the word of God he has nothing healthy to offer the body.

The earth is the Lord's by ownership but that does not make everything in it the Lord's. Word Faith people like to take passages like the one you quoted and put on meanings that were never implied. The world system and its demonic evils are certainly not the Lord's and the Bible does not say the Church is going to make it the Lord's.

The real point here is that no where in the Bible does it say that the Church will take the world for Christ, in fact it says just the opposite. The world will grow more evil until the end and at that time there will be a great departure form the faith. Then judgment will come and only after evil is removed and Jesus returns will there be a restoration of the earth.

Those who actually think they can take the world for Christ might first take their own city for Christ. It never has happened without tyranny and if the dominionists are ever successful in taking the world for Christ you can be sure the whole world will be living under a religious tyranny just like it did when the Catholics controlled large segments of the earth. People in the Word Faith churches need to take their own church for Christ instead of following the teachings of all these heretics that teach a different Jesus that will give them blab and grab power to become the god of their own mouths. They really teach witchcraft and fit right in with the "New Spirituality" positive confession pagan movement.

God's will and ambitions are for you is to preach the gospel of salvation through His Son to all of creation. There is nothing in His revealed will (the Bible) that suggests that the church can fix a satanically controlled world system that He said has a fixed date of destruction. Those who believe so are not doing God's will they are going off on their own presumptions. As they also do with so much Word Faith doctrine.

The earth is the Lord’s by ownership but that does not make everything in it the Lord’s. Word Faith people like to take passages like the one you quoted and put on meanings that were never implied. The world system and its demonic evils are certainly not the Lord’s and the Bible does not say the Church is going to make it the Lord’s.

They really teach witchcraft and fit right in with the “New Spirituality” positive confession pagan movement.

God’s will and ambitions are for you is to preach the gospel of salvation through His Son to all of creation. There is nothing in His revealed will (the Bible) that suggests that the church can fix a satanically controlled world system that He said has a fixed date of destruction.
Jesus' statements in John 18:36 "My kingdom was not of this world" was simply a foundational statement that His power, His authoriity did not originate from this world.
One needs to study the full work of a teacher like Pastor Sunday in order to truly evaluate and judge the message against the Word of God (not man's doctrines) Also it amazes me that any believer cannot look at what God has done in the Ukraine and know that God is moving. The bible also says that "the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof" Ps 24:1. May God open our eyes and help us understand that God is not interested in our church gatherings, denominations and organizations if they do not truly fulfill His will and ambitions. God bless you as you pursue Him!

I don't entirely agree. Jesus might of just said "My kingdom is not of this age" Bible prophecy speaks of a kingdom reign of one thouand years on this earth. However, that does not happen until Jesus returns in power and glory to set it up.

What don't these pastors understand about what Jesus said before He went to the cross. In John 18:36, Jesus said "My kingdom is not of this world". We can not bring the Kingdom of God to this sin filled earth. That is why Jesus went back to heaven to prepare a place for us so this word could be destroyed (cleansed of sin) and be made brand new (without sin to corrupt).
