They want someone that will tell them that they are doing ok and that the Father will provide them with all that they need, just keep putting your seed faith in the plate every Sunday. The church in the United States has no idea of the coming persecution, what makes us think we are going to miss the tribulation that is going to separate the true sheep from the goats. Look at what is happening in China and Burma, there are Christians there, but you may never hear how they are doing. Most people think, here in the U.S., that we are going to miss the tribulation, that Jesus is going to return and take us up into Heaven. We have not been through trials and tribulations unto death. Most people have not experienced how God deals with us when we are not doing what He had planned for us. That sometimes God will put you flat on your back with an illness that puts you within an inch of death, or maybe He decimates your finances to the point that you file bankruptcy and you are starting all over again, paying everything in cash and totally dependent on God for your income. God will provide, but not in the way most in the churches today think. Look at the lilies of the field and their beauty, so why worry about what you wear or what you shall eat. We also do not understand the statement that Jesus made when He said, if the world hates you it is because it hated Me first. We have to be in this world, but we can not partake of it's pleasures. Satan is working overtime in deceiving many to think that just because they call themselves Christian that everything should go well. There is going to be a great falling away from the Truth. Most will not read the article by Coach Dave. They will put their head in the sand and say "but America is blessed and nothing bad can happen because God won't allow it".
