Worship project melds ‘theological integrity’ and technology (OneNewsNow.com)

A new project designed to help churches bridge the gap between standard hymns and modern worship songs has been released.

Helping churches maintain theological integrity, while bringing new songs and choruses into worship services, is one of the goals of a new project by LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention. The LifeWay Worship Project is a multi-faceted effort designed to help churches plan their praise and worship services more effectively. It includes a new Baptist hymnal, a worship hymnal, and digital resources that can be accessed through a special website.

Mike Harland, director of the LifeWay Worship Project, says resources are available both in downloadable form and hard copy form. Each of the 674 songs in the hymnal, according to Harland, underwent rigorous study for theology and doctrine.
