Would Jesus do this? Of course not. Would a rational person do this? Also negative. And with regard to his "conspiracy theories," actual and suspected conspiracies run rampant throughout history--the Sanhedrin against Jesus, Brutus against Caesar, Hitler and the Reichstag fire, Iran Contra, just to cite a few. The word "conspiracy" exists for a reason, it is not merely a hypothetical, and like radio waves and X-rays, just because you cannot see them or can detect them only indirectly, doesn't mean they do not exist. An international conspiracy working toward a Beast-like system makes the most sense and is perfectly compatible with the Christian concept of a demonic conspiracy against God and mankind, instead of some random "oops, we got here somehow, I don't know how."
