There is a God and He will do the judging you can be certain of that. However, His children already know that God has condemned occult practices like drinking blood, casting spells and acting out like the living dead. God does not expect His own children to be spiritual morons who cannot judge good from evil.

You seem to want a God that allows evil saying He will judge it after the fact. Nevertheless, God has already judged what is evil in His Law. God does not change He already gave us His moral law in the scriptures. But, here you are judging the God of all creation with your feeble little mind by saying the moral law He gave is hateful. I have news, God did not ask for your stupid opinion of his moral law.

You say you heard “you people” say Harry Potter should be put to death? Who are “you people”? What some Christians probably said is that the sons of Israel who practiced the occult were to be put to death according to Old Testament Law. That was only because Israel was called to be a holy priesthood to the world. They failed the assignment. Christians know moral law was given to show us our sins so that we would seek God’s High Priest (Jesus Christ) for forgiveness of our sins. We do not try to force God’s moral law on unbelievers. That is impossible. A just government might do that but that is a whole other topic.

No Christian is saying anyone should be put to death because of a movie. You are misrepresenting what Christians say and believe. You slander Christians because you obviously do not have a clue about what we believe. Your views of Christianity probably come from the hateful movies that you watch.

I do not have to watch anything I do not like but those who know good from evil do need to warn the innocent of the satanic indoctrination that too often is packaged as entertainment. I guess you think Christians should just let everyone be deceived and never offer a argument to the Satanic lies that bombard our society. What kind of Christian love of our neighbor is that?

Frankly, it’s unlikely I was ever going to watch this movie anyway. For two reasons. First, it’s about a teenage romance! I mean, come on! That alone would be reason enough to skip this since I just hate romantic movies. Second, it involves vampires. I can tell you one thing, vampire movies tend to suck. Not surprisingly, I’m also not into horror movies.

The only vampire movie I really liked so far was “Interview with the Vampire”. I liked it because it’s not your typical gutsy horror movie and there was a real story. There’s a bit of a moral lesson in it. It showed just how morally depraved and egoistical vampires are and just how deceptive the vampire’s promise is that you’ll have an “eternal life” and will remain “forever young” if you become one of “them”, while the only reason the vampire bites you is to crave his need for blood to sustain his own “life”. Much like what the forces of darkness, the adversary Satan and his fallen angels are doing, trying to keep mankind from God and promoting sinfulness.

Also, I have never quite understood this notion of “youth leaders.” In my view the only people that qualify as “youth leaders” are the parents of the youngsters. Most of these youth leaders I’ve seen are too young, inexperienced and biblically illiterate and have too much of an open-to-everything attitude and pay too much attention to coolness to be sound and manly leaders. Young people need to learn to respect and listen to older and more experienced Christians more instead of creating their own culture and clubs. That’s all nice until you see them getting caught up in their own world and their own interpretations of the Bible. But I guess I’m being reactionary again.

I think churches would benifit more from preaching sound doctrine and giving a good lesson on what exactly the Bible says on Satan, his demons and God’s angels. Who they are, what they were created for, and what their roles and purposes are. I thought we believed in Sola Scriptura, not Sola Hollywood?
