About a year ago I read an article about how Shell Oil Co. was going to have to move one of their drilling and pumping platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, because the supply had dwindled done below what was profitable. Instead of moving the rig they tried a test hole just a few feet from the original hole and hit production two times the original.

Whatever the truth until we come up with a complete new energy source such as cold fusion we will be dependent on coal and gas for most of our energy needs for many decades. Those who think we can provide the worlds energy needs with wind, solar and bio are living in a fantasy world. If they try to force these expensive technologies down our throats through government legislations and regulations all they will achieve is tripling the cost of our own energy and shipping manufacturing jobs to nations who have cheaper power because they still use coal or nuclear for electric generation.

You might propose windmills and power lines all over the state of North Dakota but many in North Dakota would never let that happen. You might even propose solar on half of Nevada but environmentalists would never let that happen either because of concerns over endangered snakes and scorpions. It is very easy to talk about cheap clean energy but it is an entirely other thing to actually produce it.

By the way, without the coal plants that produce most of our electricity you will not have the power available to power those electric vehicles and without coal and nuclear that 60c a gallon equivalent you quote becomes 3$ a gallon equivalent using windmills. Then add the road taxes to the cost of the electric because these taxes are still necessary to build and maintain the roads and your electric vehicle is just as costly to drive as $4 a gallon gasoline.

Those bail out billions are borrowed money and if your going to use it to produce expensive alternative energy like windmills taxpayers and their children will be paying the interest on the huge debt you ran up for those windmills until the nation goes bankrupt. If all this alternative energy was really cheap and feasible we would not need government billions to produce it. Private enterprise would do it on their own.

Atheists know there is a God. They just are in rebellion against Him so they deny Him. The Bible calls them fools for good reason. When you are debating fools you are just casting your pearls before swine.

Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

It saddens me when there are many Christians out there that do not see these storms coming. And when I warned them that these storms are coming most of them think that I do not know what I am talking about or they will say “We really do not know what is going to happen” They also make claims that people back then thought that everything was going to end. For example the Great Depression. I would really like to know why many Christians are not getting prepared for tough times and and be watching for Christ’s return even though the evidence that tough times are coming?

Maybe the trouble times will lead some to Christ but do not be surprise if most folks do not. The one thing I learn is that do not waste time arguing with atheists. You can show all the evidence that supports Christianity but most of them will still not believe. Why are atheists think like this?
