I ran across this interesting interview by Dr. Regan.
At a Bible prophecy conference Dr. Regan interviewed 11 well known people in bible prophecy and asked them if they believed the Antichrist will be a Jew? Along with Dr. Reagan’s own view point on this topic there are twelve viewpoints given in this article. It is always interesting to read the different answers you will get from some of the top Bible prophecy speakers on the same subject. Like I said in a recent comment, I looked at 20 websites and got twenty completely different interpretations for the seven heads on the Beast in Revelation. lets just say that on some issues there is not a whole lot of agreement. Nonetheless, nobody seems to have a problem teaching their own interpretation as near gospel truth.
I will say this on Bible prophecy. I tend to agree on most issues with those in the old school. A lot of the new people on the block seems to be just trying to come up with a different theory to sell something . I am not saying the new kids on the block are not sincere but most of them would not even be known if they did not have some strange new theory (The twelve in this article are not new kids on the block). So the new names in Bible prophecy might take you down some new roads but you can be sure if you stay on the old roads they are well plowed and you won’t get snowed. That is not to say you should never venture on new roads but you might put on your high beams and have good thread on your tires when you do.

Will the Antichrist be a Jew or a Gentile?
Most Christian are aware of the fact that there is a lot of disagreement about the interpretation of Bible prophecy between those who have completely different viewpoints, like the arguments between those who are Premillennial and Amillennial. But, what many people are not aware of is that there are some strong points of disagreement between those that take a literal viewpoint of end-time prophecies.
Recently, I attended a major Bible Prophecy conference in the Dallas area where I had the opportunity to interview a number of Bible prophecy experts. Out of 11 Bible prophecy experts I interviewed, only 3 said they felt like the Antichrist would be a Jew or that he could possibly be one. We’ll start with one yes/no answer, one could be, and one maybe. The next seven people responded with a negative reply. The final expert I interviewed answer may surprise you. Finally, I’ll conclude with my response.

To make this a bakers dozen I will also throw in my own viewpoint. The Antichrist has to be from a Gentile nation because he is the Beast out of “sea” (Gentiles) vs the false prophet who comes out of the “land” (Israel). Also, because Daniel says he is the prince who confirms the covenant that comes from the people who destroyed the Temple. The people who destroyed the Temple were Gentiles. Further, because Daniel’s prophecy about the last world kingdom in context is talking about Gentile kingdoms.
There are other reasons as well, such as Antiochus IV Epiphanes was an Antichrist type or foreshadow and was a Gentile. He set up a statue of the Gentile God “Zeus” in the Temple. The AntiChrist of the end will burn the monotheistic world Harlot of Revelation and also set up a image of the Gentile Beast in the Temple (himself). That means to me that he gets his following in the last 3 1/2 years from pantheistic new age pagans, when he as a man, claims to be the God of Gods (Zeus).
Now, if I really want to make everyone happy, I could say the Antichrist “could” have Jewish blood by his mother from the tribe of Dan and that he might be a closet Jew or might not even know that he has Jewish blood. But, for certain the Antichrist will come from a Gentile nation. In any case, the identify of the Antichrist is not going to be revealed before the Church is removed so I hope the Church does not lose too much sleep over this issue.

Fascinating. I think I would find the antichrist hard to spot even if I knew his race, but it’s interesting that there are clues
The antiChrist has all ready been revealed, he stood over a one week peace and security agreement of seven years or one week. This prince comes from the revived roman empire who control over 150 countries and the nation of Israel. This fourth beast controls the world through its power and economics ,the strong leg of Daniel 2-41.He is also setting up his global net work with over 50 billion pledge to him for a seat at his table of influence. His name totals to 666.He is the most influencial man in the world,his legacy was to be and still maybe bringing peace to Israel, IE the OSLO Accords witch is still in play ,land for peace. We are now in the midst of these Accords with the Obama-nation about to make desolate Jerusalem by dividing it .The reason the christians or pastors of the flock don,t see this is they think this all happens after a rapture. This has all ready happened, if the Antichrist were to Sept on to the temple mount today would you say that it could not be him still waiting for a covenant of peace of one week or seven years. What a slick way to come under the radar,a person the world has known and tested and when OBAMA fails they will draft slick willy for all his global connections and expertise.I believe these are the players of the last days, there party should be called the demonic party there is nothing Godly about it.
People who call other people the Antichrist before he is revealed are anti Christ. The reason Christians and pastors do not see what you claim is because they are not delusional. What will you slick willy diehards do for an encore?
So Don; when a brother has the guts to discern the events of these last days so not to be found asleep or taken by surprise with a current theory , he is labeled delusional and anti-christen. Maybe you missed my point? The current church leaders teach that the tribulation comes after a rapture and it is not true, read Rev:20-4-5. No where in the scriptures does it say that the church does not go through the tribulation. Yeshua points this out in MAT: :24 29-31. This will be the first resurrection at the seventh trump. What I’m trying to point out is the covenant with many has all ready happened 7yrs to the day and we are in the midst of it the OSlo accords, the abomination that makes desolate can come any time. The prince that stood over this covenant was Bill Clinton of the revived Roman Empire the strong leg of Daniels Image. Like all Liberals if he can complete this deal land for peace in the near future he will claim he has been working on it all this time through his global net-work.Scripture states that when the antichrist comes to power he has no power of his own he usurps it., I believe the turmoil the world is experiencing now with the current leader pushing us into the tribulation period in the next two years the demonic party will draft him as they long for the days of his leadership when peace and economics were the day.I do not believe there are 7 years left before the first resurrection and the stage and people to pull this off are in power ,the Clinton machine runs the current leaders administration. This sets the stage for Bill to rule the new world order.
What you think are guts and discernment are really incredibly bazaar views indicating that you have a total break from reality. There really were no facts to debate in what you said all I read was nonsense and false accusations.
I was not even referring to your Rapture views since that subject would be getting off topic. The timing of the Rapture is not going to be settled in a comment section of a blog or anywhere else for that matter. There are websites that do nothing but discuss that topic. This is not one of them. I know for every point that you bring up that might seem to refute a pretrib Rapture at least two or more points can be brought up refuting yours. Mat 24 has nothing to do with the Rapture because the Bride of Christ was still a mystery at that point. Jesus was talking to all true Jews about the signs of the times just before the end of the age and His physical coming in glory.
No! The covenant with many has not happened yet. The concept that it has is totally laughable. The Oslo accords were signed 15 years ago, yet you think that was the seven year covenant with the many? Have you been in a coma for over a decade? You people who think we are already in the last seven years are delusional and that should again be proven to you when the great tribulation does not happen on your two year schedule. Just like it did not happen on your year 2000 seven year schedule after the Oslo accords were signed in 1993. However, since I have heard your kind say these things for decades I already know what you will do. You will just adjust the date, make someone else the Antichrist and again say we are already in the 70th week so you can continue your accusations and your preparations to physically fight the Antichrist with his new world order.
So if you really believe this why don’t you sell out and give all your money to the poor? I will tell you why. Because you are spending your money stocking up on arms and supplies to fight the Beast that you think will come in two years. As if that concept is found anywhere in the gospel of Christ! As if you with all your preparations will actually live through this period by your own might! On the contrary it says those who seek to save their lives during that period will lose it and those who lose it for Jesus sake will gain eternal life. Nevertheless, the faithful Church has no reason to go through this trial coming to all that live on earth. We have already obtained eternal life and like Enoch we will be taken out before the judgment on earth.
The concept that Bill Clinton is the AntiChrist is beyond the pale! Get real! Get a life! Quit acting like you know things that you know nothing about. You spend your life misleading people and you make Bible prophecy teaching laughable to unbelievers. You are really working against getting the real message out about the soon and imminent return of Jesus. God knows if you just are a straw builder or a deceiver but I assure you that you will answer to Jesus.
I am sorry if that sounds harsh but people like you are harming the cause of Christ with your false accusations and you open up Bible prophecy to mockery because the world looks for you loons and hold you up as prime examples in order to discredit sound bible prophecy teachers and those who believe in the soon return of Christ. If you said these things in a decent church you would be rebuked and you will be rebuked here because almost everything you said are nothing but bald faced lies.

Hi Don, I agree with a lot of what you said. Yes, we can look at Daniel 11 and see that Antiochus set up a statue of Zeus in the temple which in Daniel 11 is called the Abomination that makes desolate – which tells us what the Abomination of Desolation will be during the future Antichrist’s rule. Antiochus had a religious belief begun by his father that he was the manifestation of Zeus in the flesh. Thus Antiochus felt that he was god. This is the same concept that the Antichrist will claim, with the Abomination of Desolation statue image of himself, being incarnated by Satan, IMO. That way the world in Revelation 13:4 will be worshiping Satan of the living breathing statue without realizing it.
btw, I believe that the Antichrist will be a Jew – from the tribe of Judah, not Dan – because the Antichrist has got to be qualified to be the messiah in the eyes of the Jews, whom he will temporarily fool.
I also agree with you that the Antichrist will be from a genitle nation, somewhere in Europe IMO.
