		<description>I have never really understood the extent of the American interest in veterans. In my opinion not all veterans are heroes, and there are plenty of heroes who are not veterans, including teachers, policemen, nurses etc etc. Despite this, the article is fascinating and I never realised that the constitution was attached so strongly to the purpose of the armed forces in the US. I&#039;m surprised that it is not so often mentioned because it brings their purpose back to the ideals of the country, and that&#039;s important. It frames debates abut the armed forces in a useful way, so thank you for highlighting the duty that those in the armed forces sign up to</description>
