A Memorial Day reflection for those that gave their life for me

We might take time this Memorial Day to reflect on why it is that people died so that Americans could remain free, because It seems to me, that we are rapidly losing the freedoms that all these men fought and died for. Statist Marxists enemies of individual freedoms took over our universities, corporations and most media and armed with their godless socialist worldview they began brainwashing the people and they have put America on a downward spiral toward it’s destruction. We must restore America to the Judea Christian values that these men fought and died for, or God will not bless the USA. We can now stand up and “defend her still today”, like Lee Greenwood says in his song (below), or we can lose this Republic to these moral relativists and humanistic collectivists.

There once was a time in America when men had decent paying  jobs and women did not have to work and people could afford the gas to drive to see their extended families on Memorial Day. Today many men can’t find a good job and women have to work. People often have to work on weekends so extended families have a hard time ever getting together anymore. The reason why the jobs are gone is because we Americans have elected professional politicians instead of representatives and most are now bought and paid for by elite globalists, big corporations and collectivist special interest groups. The American people apparently are no wiser, even after these politicians passed laws that shipped their jobs overseas they still reelect the same professional politicians. As the professional politicians make America a godless collectivist plantation where all will be slaves of the state, and their lives run by bureaucratic overseers, the American people keep reelecting them for the promise of more straw.

The high paying blue collar jobs that we once had are now mostly all gone because the politician prostitutes shipped your jobs first to Japan and Mexico and then to China and India and that is why you cannot find a good job and it is why your wife has to work. You can’t afford the gas to visit anyone on Memorial Day because elitist collectivist and globalist special interests and their many tax-free foundations own your politicians and they are limiting energy development in the guise of environmentalism. The media these elitists control brainwash the people and tax-free foundations and government bureaucracies are stuffed with environmental wackos and Gaia worshipers. The goal they tell you, is to limit carbon to protect the environment, but the actual reason for the carbon lie is to bring about statist collectivist big brother government controls over everyone. Is this the American Republic our founders envisioned and that our men died to keep?

Memorial Day is a day for reflection on those that died so we could keep our way of life and keep our freedoms and our Republic. We will be singing the song below in my church but I wonder how long I will still be able to sing the words anymore? How long will most Americans even care about such words and care that we are rapidly losing the freedoms that these men died for? Who will be willing to fight and die for the cause of our freedom in our future? Like is often said, freedom is not free. After the last couple of decades and especially the last few years I am not optimistic that America will be free in the future. Already she is not as free as she once was because many are willing to give up individual freedom for a false promise of  government security and for the false hope of socialist collectivism. Many Americans are oblivious to the Statist Marxist agenda being carried out from within. Or perhaps, they themselves have already become indoctrinated in the lies and become brainwashed slaves of the Orwellian collectivism that will bring the death of individualism and individual freedoms. I think there needs to be a national reflection on the words in Greenwood’s song on this Memorial day.

Artist: Lee Greenwood
Song: Proud To Be An American

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there’s pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

Reflect on what Greenwood actually says in his song. In the first stanza with the recent tornadoes and floods some people in the heartland will have to start all over again.

In the second stanza the flag might still stand for freedom but they can and they are taking that away.

In the third stanza if we will not keep what these men died for we have already forgotten those that died so that we can be free.

In the fourth stanza will you really gladly stand up and defender her still today?

Now can you sing the rest of the song and really mean it? or is it just lip service to a land and people who are already dead and gone?

Will God bless the USA if the majority in America departed from any acknowledgement that He exists?

Will God Bless America when the people allow the spirit of antichrist to prevail along with moral injustice and debauchery?

God exalts nations and He also casts them down when the people of the nation permit all ungodliness to prevail. We as a nation had better repent and this Memorial Day would be a good day to start and remember how far we have fallen or we may join those who fought and died for us much sooner than we would like.

  1. I’m beginning to wonder what “they” tell our men and women in the armed forces today in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Libya. After 9-11 we (my household) were in a patriotic fervor and believed all that the polititians told us. I’m not so sure any longer and I have a Marine nephew who will be deploying soon and a son-in-law who is Navy active. Maybe they should come home and patrol our borders and let the special forces take out the known terrorists around the world. I love the military of this nation, past and present. I thank God for them and pray that He watches over them and brings them home safe.

  2. Maybe the best thing would be for the country to break up into separate nation states and people could relocate to the area that best suited their ideology.
When I was a younger man I was a bit more patriotic, not so much anymore. Everyday I drive around and see all these illegals occupying jobs that could go to unemployed citizens yet our elected officials do nothing about it. It kind of gives me a sense of how Native Americans must feel about the Europeans and others who have come here and usurped what once was their ancestors alone. I get a laugh out of people who like to talk in glowing terms about how intelligent and great our founding fathers were, yet many of these same people were slave owners, What a cruel existence and often times death the slaves endured so someone else could become rich. People wonder why Iran has what seems to be a nut case for a leader but have no idea that America’s CIA was responsible for the over throw of a democratically elected prime minister so BP could retain its grip on their oil wealth.
Why has there not been one investment banker sans Madoff prosecuted for the economic collapse? This country is ruled by an elite group of oligarchs. Why does Warren Buffet pay a lower tax rate than his secretary? Because dividends and capital gains, the primary income source of the wealthy, are taxed at a maximum of 15% while the average joe pays 28% to 35%.

I would be willing to defend this country if it were attacked directly but I wouldn’t go off to some foreign land to fight the rich mans wars for the benefit of the military industrial complex.(Vietnam, Iraq). No way, no how.
What’s needed is to get rid of the criminal class that’s been ruining this nation.
A prediction, as the years go by and the rich get richer but the middle class can’t feed themselves the ideas of Karl Marx are going to become much more appealing to the masses.

  3. Tim,

I think you have the right to express those views but I certainly do not agree with them. It seems to me that you are buying into the radical rhetoric of Alex Jones and company.

  4. Don,

I’m aware of Alex Jones but only in name, he’s not someone that I’ve ever listened to. I figured that post might get me into contention with some. However, I’m not closed minded and always willing to change my mind or opinion on a subject matter. If there is a particular thought or comment I made that you have a different point of view towards and willing to articulate it for me I’d be interested in reading it.

  5. Don,

I hear all the time how our brave boys are dying to protect our freedom. I would agree with that statement concerning WWII. We were attacked by a foreign country, not a couple planes filled of zealots, but I can’t see how having solders bleeding in Iraq, Libya, or Afghanistan, or anyplace else over there, is in any way protecting my freedom today? I can see, however, how most of these wars are protecting America’s oil interests, and provide a great proving ground for new weapons — I mean, why build them if you can’t use them? I in no way intend to diminish our troop’s sacrifices, and I honor their dedication to duty. It’s the government I’ve lost all patience with. Our real threat comes not from towel-wearing terrorists, but the terrorist in three piece suits who stalk the halls of Congress.

As far as Alex Jones is concerned, maybe he does bites at too many low hanging hooks, and I’m not defending or endorsing him in any way, but to dismiss him out of hand is to dismiss any notion that secret deals are being made behind closed door. To ignore the possibility of conspiracy is to allow it free reign. Isn’t that what Satan would like? For man to believe he doesn’t exist? It seems to me a few weeks back one of your posts sounded an awful lot like what Jones might have postulated. I think it was the one about Osama on a boat somewhere with Jack Bauer. Like Tim, I once was very patriotic, a hawk during the Vietnam war. I’m afraid the years have jaded me some.

  6. I don’t disagree with everything Alex Jones discuses either but I would not go there thinking I am going to find a lot of truth spoken there either. I also know that we don’t always get the truth from our government.

Falsehoods were told about Vietnam but we hardly went to war to advance the military industrial complex or for oil. We actually did go there because there were some individualists in our government that wanted to stop the spread of collectivist communism from spreading all over the world.

People forget that Marxist socialism was spreading all over the world even before World War II. It continued after World war II. Today it is still spreading through Islam, Fabian European socialism, Chinese style Marxism and Liberation Theory.

The Vietnam war protesters that were mostly communists and that got our guys killed in Vietnam changed their names to Liberals and are running our educational system, corporations, think tanks, foundations, media and many churches. They brought in Marxism into our system the way the communist play book told them to.

Marxism never died it morphed. All the globalists are Marxists and so are the leaders of Islam. I said all that to tell you that our leaders really did have something to fear from the Communists. They were afraid they would take over the world and they actually did take over the world.

They took over the world through the existing system that the people in each nation favored and the existing religious system that the majority of people favored. Now you know why Liberals love Islam. They don’t fear Islam because they know the end goal is a one world humanistic Marxist system. They will deal with religions difference as well as they finish the world conquest. Even the New Age from which the Antichrist will come is totally collectivist. ALL roads lead to a one world collectivist system and that is no conspiracy theory that is the whole agenda. The only thing still hindering the one world agenda is the individualism in America.

The Marxists running our world WANT to keep Conservatives and Libertarians fighting over stupid conspiracy theory issues. It is a means to keep conservative evangelical Christian Americans off the real issue and divided. We have right wing individualists fighting other right wing individualists over stupid conspiracy theories instead of seeing that the Marxist collectives are already in the hen house.

Some of these “right wing leaders” like Beck and Alex Jones and what is coming in through Dominion Theology and the Emergent Church and Mormonism and New Age are just plants to keep American individualists divided and off focus. That is my conspiracy theory. I am not saying that these people see the big picture, but I think Satan does.

As for discussing the specifics and conspiracy theories in general, I guess I could go point by point why I think there are flaws in your thinking but I hardly think I want to talk about things that cannot be proven on a weekend that we should be remembering men who at least thought they were fighting for American individualism and the American freedoms that goes along with it. And also because I know that is just what the collectivists want us to do.

So who is really running “the agenda”? All roads lead to Rome you know, and the enforcers on the road are called Jesuits.

  7. I mostly agree with Tim’s statements…

Last I remember, it was a felony to employ illegal workers and this nonsense of “they only do the jobs that Americans won’t do” is…just that, nonsense. The illegals are not just picking crops.

The founding fathers time, I thought was proven in history to be a slave rich time…with many atrocities towards the slaves.

“This country is ruled by an elite group of oligarchs.”
Of course it is, I wouldn’t guess just one group…but I thought this was obvious.

“What’s needed is to get rid of the criminal class that’s been ruining this nation.
A prediction, as the years go by and the rich get richer but the middle class can’t feed themselves the ideas of Karl Marx are going to become much more appealing to the masses.”

Well, the criminal government class isn’t going anywhere except getting bigger & stronger. They believe the opposite of what Ronald Reagan did…Government isn’t the problem, it’s the solution.

At the rate the U.S. is going, I wonder how long it will be before Marxism really becomes a reality in the U.S.

I have no idea who Alex Jones is…these have just been my opinions for quite some time.

That said, I believe the U.S. is still the best country overall to live in, on planet earth at this time.

  8. Don, I apologize, I didn’t see your reply before I posted.
I mostly agree with all your points also.

  9. Don, I have been supporting deployed troops for about four years now. Some of the troops feel confused about what is happening in Afghanistan. Yet, they are bravely serving in the military. Please pray for them. Please pray that God will heal the hearts of the veterans because the rate of suicide is so terrible. It is very heartbreaking. The funerals are bad too. Our country needs God to heal peoples hearts. The liberals have said and done so many awful liberal things in their positions in state and federal government. But I am focused on troop support. I do not keep a tally of the awful things that liberals say and do. The liberals in this country learned their philosophy from the influence of intentional undermining liberals. Over avoidance of civilians when taking out the taliban and terrorists bothers me the most.

  10. 1Rosebud,

The rules of engagement that is put on our troops by politically correct politicians has been the main problem in winning our wars since after the Second World War. War is hell, it is not a gentlemen’s game. There should be a law that says 10 percent of the politicians will be drafted into combat in any military engagement by lot that lasts more than a month. Then I think there would be far less wars and the wars that we do have we will win.

David, This is Alex Jones. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Jones_%28radio_host%29 and I think Marxism has already become a reality in much of the United States. All they need is to put the icing on the cake.

  11. Oh man, YES Don, that is an absolute.
To limit the insane choices the politicians make as they send ‘other’ people to war, they absolutely should have to send their own family members…10% would be a good number.

    This should be mandatory !!!

Sending 10% of the actual politicians themselves would be better as you said, actually, sending ALL the politicians would be best, then we could start over, clean house literally, and put the right people where they should be…though, if that were the case, the U.S. “decision makers” would do everything possible to avoid war and political correctness in an actual war would be gone, imagine that ?

The “Rules of Engagement” for our troops are beyond insane. This is an issue that makes my blood boil.
But, this is what you get when you send today’s U.S. liberal media to a war zone to report on our troops.
Your right, this is not a gentleman’s game, now if the other team played by these rules then so be it…but instead, the other team uses civilian human shields, suicide bombers, and children for their “jihad”.

You can’t win a street fight using proper boxing techniques !

  12. Very difficult to worry about what Alex Jones, Obama, Oprah, or whoever are saying as long as I believe in The Holy Bible and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Have a great day everyone and don’t worry!

  13. To: David Henley,

I don’t worry at all, not even a little.

Even if I were to be homeless and live on skid row, I’d be richer than the top 100 wealthiest people combined…because I have my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, not in the disasters that humanity has created.

    Don,

I did research a bit on Alex Jones.
No thanks, I’ll stick to the Bible, my pastors, and that lunatic who has that blog @ The Prophecy Years : )

  14. Hey Don-

You must be a lot of fun at parties and social gatherings. 🙂

Just kidding around. I liked the piece.

    Keep plugging.

  15. Don ,
First of all since you served in the military, Thank You for your service to the cause of freedom. You really hit the nail on the head about the rules of engagement being imposed on our military. The politicians need to allow the military to do whatever it takes to win. The media is so corrupt and controlled that truth has become rare. It will in no way surprise me if there is a civil war in America. The politicians in both parties are nothing more than self
serving individuals whose primary concern is their own re election. They will pander to any group just to get votes and stay in office. In a culture war truth is the first casuality. Too many people only care about their government benefits, not the country as a whole. Unless God
brings a revival to America I see very little hope for this nation. Those of us who believe God
must continue to pray and be faithful , our eternal destiny is certain. He is our salvation .
    BLESSINGS to YOU!!!!!

  16. Thank Don. I agree. Liberals and Conservatives are now so divided on the national issues that I do not see how we can have a United States in the future without some great Christian conversion of the Liberals to true Christianity.

  17. Its been awhile. I heard hims speak some and what I heard I did not disagree with but I never watched him enough to know most of his positions. I do know that he was one of a kind.

  18. Dr Wm. EuGene Scott was a Stanford University PhD (education) and an eminently astute Bible teacher as well as one of a kind.

  19. Ken C ,
I lived in Los Angeles during the time Dr. Gene Scott was a pastor there. I spent many hours
listening to him on radio and watching him on television. I assume you are aware he passed away from a massive stroke several years ago. He was an outstanding Bible teacher with incredible knowledge of Greek, Herbrew, and other ancient languages. His teaching on the Book of Revelation is the best I have ever encountered. As you and Don both said , he was without
question , One of a Kind . He could get really wierd sometimes though. BLESSINGS !!!!!
