The present rise of protests against existing governments are not primarily religiously or politically motivated although there are those that will be sure to take advantage of the discontentment and use it toward that end. These civil upheavals are really happening because the world’s wealth is increasingly being sucked up by the rich and powerful elite. Rising food prices and low wages and high unemployment are making it increasingly difficult for the poor to survive.
For example, in the United States the top one percent have 42 percent of the nation’s wealth and that percentage has been increasing even during the recession.
The top 100 richest people in the world are worth somewhere around 1.5 trillion dollars and there are about 850 additional billionaires in the world that I would guesstimate are worth about another 3.5 trillion dollars. So, the top 1000 people in the world are worth more than the GDP of almost all countries and we have not yet mentioned the more than one million people in the world that are worth at least ten million dollars. My guess is that they would be worth another 50 to 100 trillion dollars. These rich people have amassed more wealth than the annual GDP of the entire world. About half the wealth of the world is now controlled by of one percent of the population. At the same time, a couple of billion people cannot find enough money or jobs to even provide for their families the basic necessities to live like civilized people.
This is not a problem caused by the free enterprise system and capitalism. Many of the richest people in the world are socialists or are tyrannical leaders that pilfer their nation’s wealth. Socialist and fascist statist governments all have an elite class that are filthy rich and they are the ones that are oppressing the common people in their nations.
They make a great pretense that they are for the worker and for redistributing the wealth while they actually redistribute the wealth to themselves when they run corporations and get into positions of power. They provide cover for themselves by developing social subsistence programs designed to keep the slave class placated and peaceful on their plantations.
Nevertheless, there comes a point when the poor get weary of watching the filthy rich flaunt their wealth all over the media and planet. They see that they use their wealth and power to oppress by imposing endless statist rules and regulations on people they consider their subjects. It has become so that the common man cannot even provide for their own families without connections, a bribe or a costly permit.
What may be taking place in the world with all these uprisings is the start of a grass roots revolution against the the world elite that control most of the wealth. People in the Middle East are tired of a few royal families and tyrannical dictators having all the wealth and all the power. With the help of modern communication devices don’t be surprised if the oppressed become enlightened and expand this revolution all over the world. China is supposed to be a communist country but most of the wealth is firmly in the hands of multi millionaires and billionaires. The richest man in Russia is said to be Putin, and he and his fellow KGB thugs are in total control of most of the energy developments in that nation. Similar stories can be told in many nations.
The Revolution and the results will be different in every nation. Some will be given meaningful concessions that will appease most of the population and others will be oppressed and put down with brute military force. Even in Europe and the United States people are going to soon be running in the streets because of promised entitlements and services that government will not be able to deliver.
Common people in the world are turning to piracy, kidnapping, drugs and other crimes to raise money. They really are not risking their lives for the sheer adventure of illegal activity. Nor, are most of these people more evil then the rest of us. These are men that will provide for their family by any means necessary. They are not just going to roll over and send their families out begging. They generally do these dangerous and illegal activities because that is the only way their families can survive. Certain people will become dangerous when they have little to lose.
So, don’t be surprised when crime rises all over the world at the same time that food prices are rising all over the world. Some think using food crops to burn alcohol in our cars is wise, but this insane policy is one of the main causes of the world grain shortages and the rising food prices.
Unemployment is extremely high all over the world because the Chinese government stacked the economic deck so that other nations cannot compete with their low wage slave shops that help make their millionaires and billionaires even richer. Expect a trade war to develop one way or another between China and other nations. That could also lead to military solutions.
Futher, don’t be very surprised when people in this nation and elsewhere revolt against paying $5 a gallon for gas. Some of the people we buy our gas from get it out of the ground for a dime a gallon. Then they use extortion through the means of an illegal oil cartel so that we can keep their royalty and dictators in women, yachts and caviar. Many of the people in those nations never did a day of work in their lives, unless you want to call bossing their servants work.
People have a right to make wealth if they are not doing it by robbing others, but if they were blessed by God with riches and honor through honest means, they ought to at least remember the poor and the oppressed of the world. If they do not use their God given wealth and positions of power wisely it will become a curse to them when the poor turn against them in a revolution.
Those that live to make money and that make money their God have a Bible passage written just for them. This passage is also written for the people that they oppress. This passage certainly applies to people living in these prophetic years.
Jas 5:1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

That the oil countries “use extortion through the means of an illegal oil cartel so that we can keep their royalty and dictators in women, yachts and caviar,” is true. However, the elites in the U.S. do the same in other ways. Our oil is 2/3’s locked up. We put ourselves in this position by never facing reality. Its the same way with our debt. Now it is unsustainable and Congress doesn’t seem able to quit the habit of spending more and more. The dollar is finished. The U.S. is finished. When you reject God as a nation, well, there ya go, General Custer. You just go ahead down into that valley.
Don, I watched Irvin Baxter of EndTimes Ministries last night on Tv talking about WW3 and how 1/3 of the world population would be wiped out per Rev 9. Baxter wasn’t sure when this would take place but thought it could or would occur before the final seven year period. Where as I was looking at your sequence of events has it occuring just after the mid point of the seven year period.
Rev 9 “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.
I used to think this passage above described a great Chinese army coming from the east after the Euphrates River was dried up in Revelation 16, except there is no definitive connection here with the 200mm army of Rev 9.
Whether WW3 occurs before the seven year period or if it occurs just after the mid point, either way in my mind China must suffer serious loss of population in order to account for 1/3 of the world population to be lost. After this sort of loss China wouldn’t have the army left over to deploy 200mm. For this reason it seems to me that the 200mm army refers to the entire worlds armies, or most of them, fighting a world war over the middle east oil fields.

If there is a war called World War III it will be long before this army of 200 million comes out of the East. Nothing says that it is only China. Revelation indicates three colors on the breastplates so I would think that three Eastern powers are involved. At that point those three powers will probably control the whole far East.
This war is in the Great Tribulation.
The passage does not say that 1/3 of the world’s population will be lost in this war. It says that 1/3 of the men on the earth will be killed. Assuming that the population of the Earth is 4 billion at that time because some were raptured and at least 1/4 of the population already died in the prior judgments and there were also many martyrs and then you eliminate the woman and children from the numbers. Then you have a 200 million man army from the East in open warfare against the West and it probably would not take more than 400 billion men to die for this prophecy to be fulfilled. So it is very possible for such a war to destroy 1/3 of men on the earth, especially when you consider whole armies are being destroyed by WMD. In fact, the next few decades is probably the only time on earth when this would be possible.
Ok, that makes some sense. Earth population already trimmed down from prior judgements before the 200mm man army comes from the East.

Tim it’s funny that you posted about Irvine Baxter because I watched that program the other night as well and was astounded by some of the claims he was making. For example, when he was referring to the 200mm army of the East, he said that there was no way it could be Chinese based because they would have been decimated by this “WWIII” he was promoting to. Instead he said that the army of the East would consist of Libya, Russia, and some other nations..This is precisely when I changed the channel, because last time I checked, Libya is a western nation in relation to Israel geographically..although he probably meant East of the USA. He also seemed to think that the USA would somehow escape many of the horrors of the war and possibly the Great Tribulation. Of course I dont want to judge anyone because I am by no means an expert, but much of what he was saying just seemed backwards. Even the animal kingdoms and their represented nations he referenced from Daniel were not in keeping with most bible scholars.
Steve, I would have to agree with your comments. I’ve watch Irvine Baxter several times in the past couple of months and he seems to have vastly different ideas from many other prophecy scholars. Yes, the USA potentially escapes the war and rejects or opposes the antichrist seemed to be what he was saying, although he left the door open for the USA to also be wiped out from the war.
Kind of seems like sensationalism, which probably attracts viewers.
Don, I hope this is close to being on topic, in that I’m using a non-biblical source to make a point. I’ve read many dystopian novels in the past few years, but the scenarios portrayed above strike me as being really close to the ones in Jack London’s “The Iron Heel”. People have called for a race war scenario for years on end, but I’m starting to believe that in the last days it will be closer to the violent economic wars he wrote about 100 years ago. The juggernaut of union instigation worldwide seems to all but guarantee it. As a Police Officer, I still can’t help but wonder when, not if, the line will be crossed by Police Officers to join with their “Union brothers and Sisters {Comrades seems more appropriate a word}, given the support the FOP has seemed to have extended the past couple of weeks in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, etc. Can YOU see any tie-in to this and end times prophecies?
Your right about one thing. People will be fighting and hating each other because without the Spirit of God they are doomed to fulfill this end time prophecy.
The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. So since we are seeing the evil that the lust for money causes and see the passage above being display in our time, that is the prophetic tie in to indicate that we are living in the last days.
What a day it will be for those who value riches more than their souls when Ezekiel 7:19 comes…
