The Alliance Defense Fund will defend any pastor and church that on Sept 28th makes a political speech for or against a candidate from their pulpit. The IRS muzzled the church for over fifty years with its 501-C3 statute. Forcing churches to abide by unconstitutional rulings on religious speech with the treat of losing their tax exempt status. Churches should not incorporate. Most do it out of ignorance and by doing so they insert their own sock into their pastor’s mouth. Afraid to lose their tax-exemption, the church slowly begins to answer to Caesar rather than to God. No man can serve two masters.

You see, churches are tax IMMUNE, or protected from government, and not tax EXEMPT which means “free from obligation.” The church has no obligation to government…until they incorporate. Once they do, they make a deal with the Devil. They now answer to Caesar. That is the law.

I say it is about time! Can someone tell me why the only “religion” that has a muzzle on its spokesmen is Christianity? Atheists are free to speak. After the Johnson amendment passed, churches faced a choice of either continuing their tradition of speaking out or silencing themselves in order to retain their church’s tax exemption. The Internal Revenue Service, in conjunction with radical organizations like Americans United for Separation of Church and State, have used the Johnson amendment to create an atmosphere of intimidation and fear for any church that dares to speak Scriptural truth about candidates for office or issues.

It is time for the intimidation and threats to end. Churches and pastors have a constitutional right to speak freely and truthfully from the pulpit – even on candidates and voting – without fearing loss of their tax exemption.

Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are God-given rights, they are not Constitutional rights. Only God grants rights. The Constitution restricts government intrusion into our lives. It is time to cut the head off of that giant.

Here is what I really like about it. It is going to expose a lot of pastors who have been hiding behind the so-called government restriction on free speech. With that barrier removed maybe we can more clearly distinguish between the brave men who speak for God and those who just love the cushy job.

Alex Jones’ Prison Planet.com Utility Workers Hired As Stasi Informants In Colorado, California, Arizona

Hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers have been trained and recently dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.

According to a Denver Post report, “It’s a tactic intended to feed better data into terrorism early-warning systems and uncover intelligence that could help fight anti-U.S. forces. But the vague nature of the TLOs’ mission, and their focus on reporting both legal and illegal activity, has generated objections from privacy advocates and civil libertarians.

“Suspicious activity” is broadly defined in TLO training as behavior that could lead to terrorism: taking photos of no apparent aesthetic value, making measurements or notes, espousing extremist beliefs or conversing in code, according to a draft Department of Justice/Major Cities Chiefs Association document.”

“We don’t snoop into private citizens’ lives. We aren’t living in a communist state,” claims Lt. Tony Lopez, commander of Denver’s intelligence unit - but the program bears close parallels to the East German Stasi system, which at its height employed one informant for every seven citizens.

Since authorities now define mundane activities like buying baby formula, beer, wearing Levi jeans, carrying identifying documents like a drivers license and traveling with women or children or mentioning the U.S. constitution as the behavior of potential terrorists, the bounty for the American Stasi to turn in political dissidents is sure to be too tempting to resist.

As any budding dictator will tell you, the creation of an informant society where individuals self-regulate their behavior in fear of being turned in by a citizen spy is one of the key stepping stones to tyranny. To have the media celebrate the fact that people are reporting on their neighbors and grandchildren puts the icing on the cake.

They are also planning to microchip their military and it will continue to spread to more and more groups. It will not stay in Britain it will soon be everywhere. This is not the Mark of the Beast system yet but it is setting the technical foundation for it. I also found it interesting that these RFID chips already have the capability of uploading information to a satellite uplink.

U.K. to Begin Microchipping Prisoners

the Ministry of Justice is exploring the possibility of injecting prisoners in the back of the arm with a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip that contains information about their name, address and criminal record. Such chips, which contain a built-in antenna, could be scanned by special readers. The implantation of RFID chips in luggage, pets and livestock has become increasingly popular in recent years.

In addition to monitoring incarcerated prisoners, the ministry hopes to use the chips on those who are on probation or other conditional release. By including a satellite uplink system in the chip, police would be able to use global positioning system (GPS) technology to track subjects’ exact locations at all times. According to advocates of such a measure, this could help keep sex offenders away from “forbidden” zones like schools.

In another post today I indicated pretty much what Hawkins says in this article. We certainly are only one Supreme Court justice away from being like the French. We might not even be that far away because Justice Kennedy can go either way. For me it is a forgone conclusion that the court will turn liberal and legislate from the bench to take away our constitutional if Obama appoints the next Justices. When men in black robes who act like the French start to do that I wonder what our people will do? Will they continue to be the government of the people or the people run by five or more socialist social engineers wearing French black robes.

Only One Justice Away from Being French - HUMAN EVENTS

The more news coverage of the Supreme Court’s “historic” decision upholding the Second Amendment I saw the more depressed I became. Though I’m grateful for the way the decision fell, I could not help being appalled by the fact that only 5 out of 9 justices now believe that the Constitution is constitutional. In short, the United States is only one liberal Supreme Court justice away from being judicially transformed into France.

Each semester in my American History courses on the university campus, I explain to my students that the 2nd Amendment is the only amendment which contains the words, “necessary to the security of a free state.” If you take away the 2nd Amendment you take away security, plain and simple. The kind of security free men know and love; the kind of security hundreds of thousands of our military men and women have died to restore to failing European nations; the kind friends of mine revel in when they get their concealed carry permits and say, “Frenchmen can’t do this.”

Yet the magnitude of this issue persuades me that I have not said enough, and that I even understated the seriousness of this matter in my opening paragraph when I indicated that only 5 out 9 justices now believe the Constitution to be constitutional. Therefore, in the interest of freedom and clarity of speech, I am determined that the next time a student asks about gun rights or a friend about concealed carry licenses, I will take the time in both situations to remind them that we are now only one liberal justice away from being transformed into Frenchmen.

Just wait a couple of years until what they are doing in Colorado and California becomes national laws. Think not? Give Democrats complete control of all branches of government and I assure you national hate speak laws and school and corporate sex indoctrination laws will be passed and enforced.

Just look at the recent vote on the second amendment to the Constitution. Any idiot can read that it forbids the disarming of the people. Yet four of nine Supreme Court Judges did not see it that way. All of them were Liberals and these four always vote against any literal interpretation of our constitution. Elect a democrat to President and within a few years there will be at least five liberals on the Supreme Court. Then Katie bar the door. When Congress, the President and the Supreme court subvert the original intent of the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights Conservative Christian people will either become censored and oppressed, become criminals, or their will be enough of them in certain states to vote that their state secede from the Union.

That is how close this nation is to the brink and if you want to insure that the criminalization of biblical Christianity becomes a reality in the next five years go ahead and vote for Obama and all people who think like him.

‘Religion in private’ OK, declares ACLU

“Will SB200 be the end of it? No. Next, hate crime legislation must be passed so that it is illegal for me to write this letter (as it is now illegal in Canada); then enforced homosexual/transsexual indoctrination of our children in the public educational system; finally, all other alternative forms of education must be outlawed. Impossible, you say? It’s already happened in California,” he said. “As I’m being forced into this ’shotgun wedding’ with the radical homosexual agenda, I hope it’s not too late to ’speak now, or forever hold my peace.’ What is it called when you are forced, against your will, to participate in a sexual lifestyle that you find objectionable? I believe that is called ‘rape.’ My state legislature has ‘violated’ me and charged me with the crime.”

Tom Minnery, the senior vice president of government and public policy for Focus, told the Denver Post there are “multiple problems” with the plan, “but the problem of restrooms is the most breathtaking one. … With SB200, however, we no longer have two ’sexes,’ we enter a brave new world with a myriad of ’sexual orientations’ that must not be discriminated against, upon pain of the substantial civil and criminal penalties contained in the bill.

“Woe to the first women’s fitness facility or mall owner who objects to a man dressed as a woman who wants to enter previously forbidden territory. And what an opportunity for sexual predators,” he wrote.

He said every Christian, Jewish or Muslim business owner now is under a threat.

“We’ve seen … charges brought by homosexuals against a video reproduction business in Virginia, a medical clinic in California, an adoption service in Arizona and a church in New Jersey,” he continued. “Colorado tops them all on the potential outrage meter, however, because in addition to civil fines and penalties, small-business owners can be prosecuted under the criminal laws of Colorado and spend up to one year in jail for trying to live according to their faith.”

There are other groups preparing for full-scale war in Colorado.

“American RTL [Right to Life] Action is a political 527 group headquartered a half-block from the Colorado capitol, and we’re not going to hire someone cohabitating outside of marriage, let alone a homosexual,” said Steve Curtis, the group’s president and former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party. “SB200 also makes it a crime for us to publish biblical teaching on immorality, so we are prepared to violate this anti-Christian government censorship. The liberals always said what homosexuals do in private could never affect anyone else; of course that was always a lie; they’re trying to criminalize traditional Christianity. The fight is on.”

Yep, right here in the good old USA in once conservative Christian Colorado they have criminalized Christianity. I think it is time to get the tar and feathers ready. Some politicians and special interest groups in the U.S. are simply going to have to be dealt with or it will continue to spread across the land like the plague. If you want to know how serious this is just read the last sentence of this section in the law. If they do not even desire what you said you can be arrested.

Censorship. Book burning. The Criminalization of Christianity. It’s here and it’s now the law in the state of Colorado.

The Ku Klux Klan can march. The Nazis can hand out brochures. Skinheads can do whatever it is that Skinheads do. But in the state of Colorado, the only group who is NOT allowed to be heard is … the Christians. They’re the ones who disagree with same-sex marriage, cohabitation, and believe the biblical view that homosexuality is a sin. But if they voice that objection from now on, it had better be inside the four walls of a church. If not, they’ll be staring at the four walls of a prison cell … for up to a year.

No kidding.

You see, Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed into law SB 200 and turned public restrooms and locker rooms into a predator paradise where men can enter (and shower in) any female public facility in the state. You’d think that would be as bad as it gets – but wait: Section 8 of that same bill claims to trump the First Amendment:

Section 8. 24-34-701. Publishing of discriminative matter forbidden. No person, being the owner, lessee, proprietor, manager, superintendent, agent, or employee of any place of public accommodation … shall publish, issue, circulate, send, distribute, give away, or display in any way, manner, or shape or by any means or method, except as provided in this section, any communication, paper, poster, folder, manuscript, book, pamphlet, writing, print, letter, notice, or advertisement of any kind, nature, or description that is intended or calculated to discriminate or actually discriminates against … SEXUAL ORIENTATION, marital status … in the matter of furnishing or neglecting or refusing to furnish to them or any one of them any lodging, housing, schooling, or tuition or any accommodation, right [marriage], privilege [adoption], advantage, or convenience … on account of … SEXUAL ORIENTATION, marital status … [which] is unwelcome or objectionable or not acceptable, desired, or solicited.

Forget my book. Another far more important book just got banned in Colorado: the Bible. Don’t believe me? Take a look at Leviticus 18, Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6 and 1 Timothy 1. There’s a bunch more verses, and they all just became illegal

Censorship has almost always been the rule in the world. Strong leaders and control freaks always end up in control until the next revolution. You can really only have free speech in a moral society because man’s decadent nature and his ideas will eventually pervert society. We have had free speech in the Western world since World War II and it has produced the very decadent permissive society that we see today. Unfortunately censorship it is only as good as the censors. When you get evil censors they censor the wrong people.

What is happening today is that the perverts are beginning to censor the moral people because they do not like to hear the truth about their own evil practices. They will get away with their censorship until good men stand up and revolt and then you will have another form of censorship until they also become corrupted. There is nothing new under the sun. This cycle has been going on since man has been on the earth. There is little doubt that free speech in the modern world is on its death bed but in this coming censorship cycle the moral people are not going to be the censors.

The return of the censors

Censorship is making a comeback. Outside the United States, it is considered an acceptable price to pay for the new diversity Western Man seems now to value more than the old liberty.

What has caused this reversal of the advance of freedom?

Western Man has come to believe there are more important values than freedom, if men use their freedom in ways our new Lords Temporal find unacceptable.

Nor is this anything new. Censorship has always had powerful patrons and not always benighted backers.

In the Middle Ages, pious men sought to silence heretics because they believed the Faith led to Paradise, while its loss led to Hell for all eternity. The Christian censorship we mock today was born of men’s deepest convictions about the most important thing in life: salvation.

Devout Muslims believe heretics and apostates should be put to death. Islam is the most important thing in their lives, and its truths are valued more than any freedom to mock them.

one’s money ought to be on the new censors, for men who believe deeply in something, even when wrong, usually triumph over men who believe in nothing.

Today, the true believers in Islam and the true believers in diversity uber alles are making common cause against those who believe in freedom of speech and the press. As the former have the convictions and increasingly the power, they may prevail, and not only in Canada and Europe.

A new orthodoxy is arising. Freedom’s finest hour may be behind us.

What is now in Canada will be coming here during the next administration when the Left passes their hate speech laws. Pastors and Christians will be fined, and ministries and websites will be shut down just for taking biblical positions against blatant amorality.

So then it will come down to do we obey ungodly government laws ramrodded into law by the godless perverted far left or do we obey God and continue to teach the truth in love. If Christians obey God instead of man, persecution is coming to America much sooner then you might think and so will the civil backlash from those in America who believe in trying to maintain moral codes in their communities.

I hope you are ready for all this because many of you ‘Christians” are the ones voting for people who will bring in these laws that will muzzle the preaching the gospel.

Government to pastor: Renounce your faith!

The Canadian government has ordered a Christian pastor to renounce his faith and never again express moral opposition to homosexuality, according to a new report.

In a decision handed down just days ago in the penalty phase of the quasi-judicial proceedings run by the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, evangelical pastor Stephen Boisson was banned from expressing his biblical perspective of homosexuality and ordered to pay $5,000 for “damages for pain and suffering” as well as apologize to the activist who complained of being hurt.

According to a report from Pete Vere at the Catholic Exchange, the penalty could foreshadow the possible fate of Father Alphonse de Valk, who also has cited the biblical perspective on homosexuality in the nation’s debate over same-sex “marriage” and now faces HRC charges.

And as for the future, she wrote:

“Mr. Boissoin and The Concerned Christian Coalition Inc. shall cease publishing in newspapers, by e-mail, on the radio, in public speeches, or on the Internet, in future, disparaging remarks about gays and homosexuals. Further, they shall not and are prohibited from making disparaging remarks in the future about … Lund or … Lund’s witnesses relating to their involvement in this complaint. Further, all disparaging remarks versus homosexuals are directed to be removed from current Web sites and publications of Mr. Boissoin and The Concerned Christian Coalition Inc,” the lawyer opined.

Andreachuk also ordered Boissoin to apologize for the original letter in the Red Deer Advocate and told the two “offenders” to pay $5,000.

The apology letter, Vere said, “threatens civil liberties in Canada, according to Ezra Levant, an author and lawyer who himself was targeted by an HRC attack.”

“[The] government now believes that if it can’t convince a Christian pastor that he’s wrong, it will just order him to condemn himself?” Levant wrote on his blog. “Other than tribunals in Stalin’s Soviet Union and Mao’s China, where is this Orwellian ‘order’ considered to be justice?”

“This is like a Third World jail-house confession – where accused criminals are forced to sign false statements of guilt,” Levant wrote. “We don’t even ‘order’ murderers to apologize to their victims’ families. Because we know that a forced apology is meaningless. But not if your point is to degrade Christian pastors.”

“In essence, the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal is ordering to the minister to renounce his Christian faith, since his opposition to homosexuality is based upon the Judeo-Christian Bible,” Vere wrote.

People are already being charged with hate crimes in Canada and Europe for just expressing their Christian beliefs and what the Bible says. In the next administration in the U.S. you can be sure they will pass similar hate crimes legislation here. You also can be sure that there will be many pervert groups and Islamic groups on witch hunts to find people to target under the new laws. Then many “Christians” in this nation can be so proud that they did nothing and ignorantly voted for politicians who will nullify the Bill of Rights.

Canada and Europe already have bureaucratic tribunals to prosecute Christian speech and it will soon be coming here thanks to many of you.

Priest investigated for quoting Bible

A priest is being investigated as a potential criminal under a federal “hate crimes” law for quoting from the Bible, and he’s being targeted using a Canadian provision under which no defendant ever has been acquitted, according to a new report.

Pete Vere, a canon lawyer and Catholic journalist, has reported on the prosecution of Father Alphonse de Valk, a pro-life activist known across Canada, by the Canadian Human Rights Commission – “a quasi-judicial investigative body with the power of the Canadian government behind it” – at CatholicExchange.com.

“What was Father de Valk’s alleged ‘hate act’?” Vere wrote.

“Father defended the [Catholic] Church’s teaching on marriage during Canada’s same-sex ‘marriage’ debate, quoting extensively from the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and Pope John Paul II’s encyclicals. Each of these documents contains official Catholic teaching. And like millions of other people throughout the world and the ages – many of whom are non-Catholics and non-Christians — Father believes that marriage is an exclusive union between a man and a woman,” he wrote.

The new case comes just as columnist and author Mark Steyn, and Maclean’s magazine which published an excerpt from his “America Alone” book, are on trial before the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal for similar “offenses.”

One of the main problems in the world today is that once the tyrants and control freaks get in power there is no way to get them out of power. They have all the weapons and they pay the police forces. So with that in mind, tyranny is going to increase on earth. The tyrants already rule over at least one third of the population of the earth and tyranny in most of the other two thirds is under development.

When you disarm a nation you also make its citizens defenseless against the tyrants in government that will eventually arise. We should learn that lesson well.

Tyranny will begin to happen here against Christians when subjective hate speech laws are passed and you can bet on that happening under the next adminstration.

JOHANNESBURG: The parishioners were lined up for Holy Communion on Sunday when the riot police stormed the stately St. Francis Anglican Church in Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital. Helmeted, black-booted officers banged on the pews with their batons as terrified members of the congregation stampeded for the doors, witnesses said.

A policeman swung his stick in vicious arcs, striking matrons, a girl and a grandmother who had bent over to pick up a Bible dropped in the melee. A lone housewife began singing from a hymn in Shona, “We will keep worshiping no matter the trials!” Hundreds of women, many dressed in the Anglican Mothers’ Union uniform of black skirt, white shirt and blue headdress, lifted their voices to join hers.

I can’t make Al Gore tell the truth. I can’t make Barbara Boxer tell the truth. I can’t make (NASA climatologist) James Hansen tell the truth. But you know what? I can make a CEO tell the truth. I can maybe even sue a CEO. I can maybe get the Securities and Exchange Commission interested in some of the statements they’ve made about global warming that aren’t true. That’s why we have the Free Enterprise Action Fund, and that’s kind of the route that we are pursuing because we think the CEOs are vulnerable on this.

Once these global warming bills come to the floor and different companies start to see who the winners and losers are, I think at that point we’re going to turn a corner. All the companies want different things, and they are irreconcilable a lot of the times. For example, Alcoa wants Congress to give it free credits — which is basically like getting free money from the taxpayer — for past reductions in greenhouse gases.

Well, a company like Duke Energy, which is a big coal-burning utility in North Carolina, is going to wind up needing to buy carbon credits, which they can’t afford. So Duke is not for carbon credits; they’re for a carbon tax. Well, you can’t do carbon credits and a carbon tax. It’s going to be one way or the other. So when the winners and losers get identified, I think the USCAP will ultimately get blown up. Then we’ll see where things are.

Of course, the alternative is that we’ll get a global warming regime but no one will live by it. U.S. CAP emissions will not go down. It’ll be just like a farm bill. Once you create that global warming constituency, like the constituency made up of the few farmers who get their subsidies, it’ll never go away no matter how bogus it is. Has ethanol gone away? No.

Its about time that some national organization stood up against the unconstitutional decrees of the IRS. If the IRS wants to go to court on this issue lets go at it. The IRS will lose. The fact that no one has ever lost tax-exempt status for what they preached from the pulpit is evidence that they do not want a court fight. They would just rather bully everyone into compliance. It is time that this self censorship by Christians stopped and now you have a national organization that will defend you if the IRS revokes your tax-exempt status.

Pastors called to defy IRS censorship rules

Christian pastors should stop censoring themselves in fear of an “unconstitutional” 1954 provision in the IRS code that has threatened to eliminate their church tax-exempt status if they speak out against positions held by political candidates, urges a leading legal alliance.

The Alliance Defense Fund today announced a new initiative that will challenge the IRS ban on political comment from churches and their pastors.

“Churches have for too long feared the loss of tax exempt status arising from speech in the pulpit addressing candidates for office,” the ADF’s white paper on the campaign confirmed. “Rather than risk confrontation, pastors have self-censored their speech, ignoring blatant immorality in government and foregoing the opportunities to praise moral government leaders.

“ADF believes that IRS restrictions on religious expression from the pulpit, whenever the IRS characterizes it as ‘political,’ is unconstitutional. After 50 years of threats and intimidation, churches should confront the IRS directly and reclaim the expressive rights guaranteed to them in the United States Constitution,” the group said.

The article gives the connection from eugenics to world population control. The power elite want the earth to have far less people for the sake of the environment. The people they really want to limit are what they consider the genetically inferior underclass. Many of the world birth control polices are toward that end. The common people are so misled or oppressed that they either are forced to submit like the people in China or they are “educated” to support quantity control through birth control and abortion like inner city blacks and the poor in the U.S.

Eugenics and Environmentalism: From quality control to quantity control

Population control today - and the corresponding environmental movements - grew out of the post WWII shift from eugenics to Malthusian programs. The line connecting eugenicists to population control is unmistakable. Population reduction is being used by the elite as a weapon of war against competition, as an assurance of continued domination.

Do you find the statement by Vox Day below to be offensive and un-American? Read the article and follow his logic. There is more justification for the government doing what is said in the paragraph below then there there was in the government removal of all the children from their mothers after the questionable and possibly illegal raid on the YFZ ranch in Texas.

If this removal of children is allowed to stand what will stop the state from profiling religions to find some grounds to remove the children from their parents once national hate speech laws are passed that outlaw the teaching of certain fundamental doctrines of the Bible? The state will say that children should not grow up under parents who teach their kids about biblical morality and sin. In Waco the Feds said the children were abused so they took care of that problem. Here they say the children are in danger of abuse so they will farm them out to people and situations that will certainly abuse them and make them nuts, suicidal or rebellious radicals. Meanwhile the parents who had their kids taken away from them will join radical anti Government groups.

When are the people in Texas going to reign in this growing Big Brother threat before they help create more anti government radicals and sow the seeds for a new civil insurrection movement in this nation?

Class-action child removal

It is no secret that black children are born into familial situations that render them statistically far more likely to suffer crime, deprivation and sexual abuse than non-black children. Sixty-eight percent of black children are born illegitimate. Blacks are murdered 3.8 times more than their percentage of the American population would statistically indicate. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, an estimated 32 percent of male blacks will be imprisoned at some point in their lives. Black teens have a pregnancy rate of 134 per thousand. Given such a poisonous culture, how can the government authorities permit black parents to be allowed to raise black children?

Americans should find the punishment of hundreds of children and adults on the mere suspicion that one man may have committed a crime to be utterly abhorrent, even if that crime was committed against a child. For if this “legal” principle used to justify destroying the FLDS families is permitted to stand, there will be nothing to prevent it from being used against any family in America.

Voices are slowly beginning to speak up about the child abuse of the children of the YFZ by the state of Texas. Yet, I have yet to hear from one nationally well known leader about this unconstitutional taking of children from mothers just because they can, and just giving them wasy to who knows what. Where are even the American patriots and the Libertarians? Why are they not sticking up for the people who have been kidnapped by the state.

Rest assured that all of these kids are now being abused by government and will continue to be abused in the homes and in the school environments they will be forced to submit to. If Texas actually has legal evidence of child abuse on the YFZ ranch (which I doubt) they should prosocute the men preying on these women and children not on the victims. There is more child abuse going on in any population that size in Texas than there was on the YFZ ranch and everyone in government knows it.

A legal precedence is being established here of state control over parents rights. When hate speech laws or home schooling bans are enacted under the next administration they could be coming for your kids as well and the case they will cite as legal authority to do so will be this one and it won’t just happen in Texas. So if you think this abuse of government power is good just because you did not like what the cult believed and if you think it will not effect you, you will soon find out differently when they come for your kids after they outlaw all fundamentalism.

So how about it? Am I free to call the police anon, sic them on someone I dislike and then sit back and watch the show? Apparently so. At least in the kangaroo court of Judge Barbara L. Walther, for whom a tip from a complainant who never materialized constitutes probable cause.

The rules of evidence have been revised in post-constitutional America. If you thought that wrenching babes from their moms ought to be predicated on the testimony of a competent, credible witness, you were wrong. And you were utterly insane if you imagined the defendants ought to get to confront the witness against them in a trial before being punished.

That Sixth Amendment stuff is so yesterday.

In post-constitutional America, the right to be free of unreasonable searches and seizures certainly no longer applies uniformly. Ditto due process. Creepy people, for whom the goons in government have been gunning, are as good as convicted criminals. In the case of the FLDS cult’s kids, the burden of proof has been shifted from the state to its victims.

Rest assured, if these children have not yet been forced into premature sex, they most certainly will be once they hit the foster-care circuit. The nation’s foster parents, bless them, are not known for being upstanding professionals who collect strays out of kindness. Fagin on welfare is more like it. The famed character from Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist” also offered his young charges a “free meal” and “lodgings for nothing.”

Whatever are your voyeuristic fantasies about the sex romps on a polygamist commune, of this you can be certain: Relative to the loose, licentious, libertine and precarious foster-care environment, the children seized in the raid on the FLDS property have led a sheltered, chaste life. The gravest abuse still awaits them.

Religious freedom like political freedom is now about dead in Putin’s new Russia. The state religion is Russian Orthodox. It is a church of blind ritual and no biblical means of salvation.

First came visits from agents of the FSB, the successor to the KGB, who evidently saw a threat in a few dozen searching souls who liked to huddle in cramped apartments to read the Bible and, perhaps, drink a little tea. Local officials then labeled the church a “sect.” Finally, last month, they shut it down.

There was a time after the fall of Communism when small Protestant congregations blossomed here in southwestern Russia, when a church was almost as easy to set up as a general store. Today, this industrial region has become emblematic of the suppression of religious freedom under President Vladimir Putin.

Just as the government has tightened control over political life, so, too, has it intruded in matters of faith. The Kremlin’s surrogates in many areas have turned the Russian Orthodox Church into a de facto official religion, warding off other Christian denominations that seem to offer the most significant competition for worshipers. They have all but banned proselytizing by Protestants and discouraged Protestant worship through a variety of harassing measures, according to dozens of interviews with government officials and religious leaders across Russia.

Vox Day speaks up on the kidnapping of the children at the YFZ ranch in Texas. I think what he says makes some good points that I have not brought up in my prior posts on this raid.

Kidnapped by government

How you raise your children is between you and God alone. It is not a matter for the state or anyone else; it never has been. As this mass kidnapping of FLDS children and incredible violation of due process will almost surely demonstrate over time, government is a ruthless and power-maddened institution that is the very last one capable of serving the interests of the children. No conservative and no religious individual should support this outrageous action, even if adult members of the FLDS community are found to have violated Texas law as well as Texas social norms, because to accept this terrible precedent is to guarantee that future violations of family rights will be committed.

And as history has shown, the next time it may not be some weird and heretical Mormons in the government’s gun sights, but Jews, homeschoolers or evangelical Christians.

Finally a voice in media is questioning the raid on the Yearning for Zion Ranch in Texas. I have heard of nothing going on there that does not go on in any small town of that size in America other than polygamy.

The media played up that some girls gave birth before they were 18 years old and a few girls under 18 were pregnant but tell me that is not the case with a group this size anywhere in America. By the way, according to an expert on this cult the bed found in the Temple was there for sleeping not for ritual sex as some suggested. The public has been fed disinformation by people who know nothing about the cult.

Lets face it, the plan for the raid was in place long before it took place. The phone call was just an excuse for the raid because they had no other legal grounds to perform a raid. They even knew the phone call accusation was not a valid reason for the raid because they knew the man accused was not even at the ranch. It seems to me that the real truth will turn out to be that certain control freaks could not endure children being brought up in a religious compound in a way that they thought was not right.

Now they intend to take 400 children away from their mothers because someone might have been abused. like kids are not being abused in every village of this size.

So now the state is free to abuse 400 children and their mothers by putting the kids in foster homes in a culture that will be horrific to these kids. Statistics on foster homes tell us that some of these kids will be abused there. A few will go to sex abusers, a few will go to physically or verbally abusive people and almost all of these kids will not fit in with students at their public schools and will be abused by other children. Like I said before, take these kids from their mothers and everything they knew and these kids will grow up nuts. Talk about child abuse!

As one man who took part in the raid said, “It will teach people not to mess with Texas”. Certainly do not move to certain parts of Texas if you are not a Southern Baptist. By the way, I have nothing against Southern Baptists I was in the membership a couple of times. I am talking about a mindset in Texas among certain Southern Baptists.

The Texas polygamy raid

It has been more than two weeks since Texas Rangers raided the Yearning for Zion Ranch, seizing more than 400 children on vague evidence of polygamy and child abuse.

The raid was prompted by an anonymous call from someone identifying herself
as a 16-year-old girl who was being held against her will and claimed
to have been raped and abused by a 50-year-old registered sex offender
named Dale Barlow. He is on probation in Arizona for a 2007 conviction
for marrying and impregnating another 16-year-old girl.
In other words, the chief suspect was known, in advance, not to be in
the ranch compound.
Since the raid, the 16-year-old girl who allegedly made the complaint
has not been found. In fact, she may never have existed in the first
place. Authorities now suspect a woman in another state, known for
making unfounded accusations, may have been responsible for the call.

So let’s look at the criminal evidence that has been discovered since the raid:

• Investigators “found disturbed bed linens and a strand of hair that
  appears to be from a female head.” (Wow! They’d find plenty of this at
  my house, too.)
• 12 of the kids have chicken pox. (12 out of more than 400)
• No one is sure whether the children have been immunized. (No one is sure if they haven’t been, either.)
• Investigators say they have evidence of emotional, physical and sexual abuse of young children within the compound.

Do I want to see children raised in polygamist cults? No.

But neither do I want to see children abused at the hands of the state – which, I hate to say, happens every single day throughout America. It happens in government-run schools. It happens under the watchful eye of government-supervised foster care programs. It happens at the hands of the government-funded Planned Parenthood, which covers up the sexual abuse of children by adults and victimizes those children a second time by performing abortions on them. It happens when states willingly and knowingly adopt out innocent young children to same-sex couples. It happens when officials in states such as California actively try to ban homeschooling.

I don’t like polygamy. I don’t like cults. I don’t like sexual abuse of children.

But cults aren’t illegal, and polygamy and sexual abuse are crimes that need to be prosecuted individually, not collectively on a community that may have allowed them to happen.
