I think there is a fundamental error in thinking among Constitutional Conservative Christians in America. Some Conservatives and Bible believing Christians in America think that they can just elect someone and make America back into the basically Christian Constitutional Republic that it once was. The response to the mass murders in Arizona proves how low the Left will go to try to gain political advantage. I have mixed feelings on the leaks of classified and sensitive information that is now being displayed to the public. My first response was that this is treason and it is. But WikiLeaks did not commit treason. After all they really exist to expose secrets that traitors send to them. If they did not do it someone else world. It really is those that are giving classified information to WikiLeaks that are committing treason. Its not a either or situation. I want a politician that does not use illegal drugs and that makes good decisions. A politician who makes bad personal decisions and breaks the laws of the country will not make good decisions for others while in public office. Schwarzenegger has proved that with the bills he recently signed. Why should you care that someone is in office who abuses drugs? Because he or she will not have normal reasoning abilities. You also hear the same rhetoric coming from some on the Right. I have been hearing this stuff since the days of Richard Nixon. I suppose if we elect Ron Paul some will find that he is is really a plant of the Moose Lodge or the Alien Reptilians. Frankly there are a lot of people out there who are on drugs or else need to be on drugs or an increased dose.
Fascism might come one day but it will only come when the American people want it to come. When Americans are willing to give up all their freedoms for security it will evolve into fascism.
For that to happen there will first have to a major threat to America’s security. That probably can only happen if we let terrorists invade our country and let criminal gangsters take over our cities and let perverts set our moral standards.
Yeah, I know we have already let that happen. So come to think of it, maybe fascism is right around the corner. But don’t blame George Bush, blame yourself for electing the people you do to office who do not enforce our laws. Alcohol abuse is a huge problem in the US but there are problems with this report as well.
When binge drinking is label as having 3 or 4 drinks and that is defined as “problem drinking” then some are really creating drinking problems where it does not exist.
Asking people if they ever abused alcohol anytime in their life under predetermined criteria and then saying one third of Americans are alcohol abusers is like labeling one third of people violent because once in their life they were involved in a fight. Or if someone ever stole anything in their life labeling them as a thief forever.
More than one half of Americans have used Marijuana. How many once used deadly tobacco? Do we label all these as tobacco abusers for life? Read more...
