I always said wait until the counterculture hippies grew up and they got into positions of power. The Emergent Village and “progressive” Christian liberalism are but a drop in the progressive bucket. To their left, “cultural creatives” or “new progressives” are brimming over with an optimistic vision for taking political power.

Who are the “cultural creatives”? They define themselves as the “organic food-buying, national-health-care-supporting, yoga-practicing, misunderstood counter-culturalists.” According to the high-end spirituality magazine, What Is Enlightenment? (August/October, 2008), their ranks continue to swell, thanks to Al Gore’s movie, Barack Obama’s “change”, and Eckhardt Tolle and Oprah Winfrey’s “New Earth” webinar (see NC #47). This movement favors “ecological sustainability (read: green collectivism), non-traditional spirituality (neo-pagan religion), civil rights (rights for all sexual expressions) and grassroots politics (non-democratic, non-governmental organizations working under the geo-political umbrella of the United Nations). They also distinguish themselves from “modernism” (secular humanism) and “traditionalism” (Christianity).

Their appearance is of immense historical and religious significance. They explicitly identify themselves as inheritors of the “values revolution [of] the Sixties [that] is still developing and maturing.”

They are the maturing fruit of a development that no one expected. We all thought the Sixties was an ephemeral social event driven by marginal drop-out hippies. Whoops, they dropped back in! In the Left Coast New Age spirituality we witnessed the first signs of a major religious and social revolution. Its conquering march through the institutions has established as normative a worldview of drug-aided mystical, neo-pagan spirituality, radical egalitarianism and total sexual license. The marginal cult has now morphed into a master plan, a full-blown all-inclusive spiritual worldview to transform every aspect of life on the planet. The bizarre views of the Sixties counter-culturalists, though few knew it, signaled the disturbing germination, in “Christian” America, of the age-old alternative to biblical theism, namely spiritual paganism.

It would seem rather bazaar that there would be no emergency action plan in place to deal with the aftermath of an EMP attack on the U.S. It poses the greatest immediate and near future danger to the survival of the U.S. other than an all out nuclear attack by Russia or China.

Both Russia and China have hinted at using an EMP against the United States and definitely have the capability. We also know from the missile tests of Iran and N. Korea that they could have that capability soon, not to mention that terrorists could obtain the capability on their own if they have or acquire a nuclear bomb. So why is there no public plan in place when both Congress and the military clearly know of this EMP threat?

There may be an explanation. Perhaps there are plans in place but they are Top Secret Emergency Actions plans. Such plans would be found among the top secret plans of a nuclear attack against the United States from a foreign power.

Your not going to find these types of top secret military plans in the Department of Homeland Security’s Public Emergency Plan booklet. Most in Homeland Security would not even know of these plans because they do not have the required security clearance. Even the few that do know of them are not going to share top secret information with local governments and the public. There is quite a bit of classified information that the government does not make known to the public for good reason.

I think I can tell you the crux of EMP Emergency Action Plan in one sentence. The problem would be so devastating and so widespread that there would be the suspension of the Constitution, complete military marshal law, and government control over everyone and everything. The same as it would be after a massive nuclear attack on the U.S. by Russia or China. I believe the government already has these plans in place and if an EMP would occur they would implement them.

U.S. still naked to EMP threat

Electricity grids down, uncontrolled fires from exploding gas transport systems, no communication to call for help, no water to battle fires: It’s all part of a catastrophic scenario some scientists predict could happen under an electromagnetic pulse attack – and the Department of Homeland Security’s 83-page emergency plan includes no mention of EMP or how it might respond to such an attack.

When WND contacted the Department of Homeland Security, a representative explained why a course of action was not included in the National Emergency Communications Plan – a strategy that relies heavily on the ability of authorities at all levels of government to communicate using radios, computers and other electronic devices that could be disabled by an EMP attack.

“When we look at the strategic threat picture, when we look at patterns of criminal activity that all levels of government show, when we look at what is ultimately going to involve limited resources, we have to get to a point where we prioritize,” DHS spokesman Russ Knocke said. “We prioritize based upon threat vulnerability and consequence. As we speak today, there’s nothing in the threat picture that would suggest an imminent EMP attack.”

However, Congress has expressed concern regarding the threat of EMP. A top scientist warned the House Armed Services Committee in July that America remains vulnerable to a “catastrophe” from a nuclear electromagnetic pulse attack that could be launched with plausible deniability by hostile rogue nations or terrorists.

William R. Graham, chairman of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack and the former national science adviser to President Reagan, testified before the committee and issued an alarming report on “one of a small number of threats that can hold our society at risk of catastrophic consequences.”

He identified vulnerabilities in the nation’s critical infrastructures, “which are essential to both our civilian and military capabilities.”

Not taking the steps necessary to reduce the threat in the next three to five years “can both invite and reward attack,” Graham told the committee.

After the 9/11 attack on the trade towers Bush said the terrorists would have no sanctuaries to hide. I believe Bush meant what he said at the time but real world conditions cowed him from actually carrying out that promise. Seven years later Osama Bin Laden the mastermind of the attacks is still hiding in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s government and army is completely infiltrated by radical Islamic terrorists and our government knows it. Osama Bin Laden, al Qaeda and the Taliban have sanctuary in Pakistan and Pakistan will not deal with the terrorist problem and they also will not allow NATO forces to go in and deal with the terrorist problem. Once in a while they make a pretend effort to go after these rebels to appease us but they have no such intent.

Now with Iraq winding down the U.S. will move more and more troops to Afghanistan but never deal with the real problem and that is the sanctuary allowed by Pakistan. So we are getting into a situation that is very much like Vietnam. In Vietnam the cowed politicians would not let our military take the war to the head of the snake and we are now doing the same thing here. Soon more and more body bags will be coming home and the people in the NATO nations will soon forget why we are there in the first place and they will start pulling out their troops.

We have already allowed conditions for a WMD staging ground in these territories of Pakistan but as the radicals gain more power we may also be allowing a Pakistan terrorist state to emerge that will export nuclear terrorism all over the world. There would be a high likelihood of a Pakistan India nuclear war in the near future.

Pakistan has a difficult political situation but the people of Pakistan created it and they should be told in no uncertain terms that allowing a sanctuary for terrorism against NATO forces in Afghanistan and against India will not be tolerated. They should be given this ultimatum - Deal with your internal security issues and root out the terrorists in your government and end the terrorist sanctuaries in Pakistan or we will see that as a sign that the people of Pakistan are already being held hostage by the radicals and need outside help from NATO.

They might remind us that they have nuclear weapons and we might remind them that they might lose that capability in one minute of time if they do not comply.

The Army in Pakistan is going to go along with NATO in the end once the face saving bluster has run its course. The leaders of Pakistan are not suicidal. There is also no reason that we should be suicidal either by allow the Vietnamization of Afghanistan and allowing Pakistan to be a staging ground sanctuary for WMD terrorist attacks on NATO countries and India.

It is time to cut off the head of the snake with a joint Pakistan NATO invasion of the rebel held territories. If Pakistan will not help they need to be told to stand down and we will do the job for them and we are not taking no for an answer.

Musharraf must now answer accusations that he knew about black market sales of Pakistan’s nuclear technology. On the 4th of July, the father of Pakistan’s nuclear program, scientist and black-marketeer A.Q. Khan, dropped a bomb on Musharraf and his Western allies. Until now, Khan has always said that he is solely responsible for selling nuclear technology to Iran, Libya, and North Korea. However Khan now claims that Musharraf and Pakistan’s politically powerful army had “complete knowledge” of the shipment of centrifuges to North Korea.

the outcome of Pakistan’s internal conflict could have global repercussions. Pakistan is the only Islamic nation with a declared nuclear weapons program. Pakistan began its secret nuclear weapons program in 1972, and now has between 65 and 90 nukes.

This article on the dangers and effects of an EMP is quite informative. I wrote on this issue a few time already but I think we had all better become more aware of this danger.

A EMP attack is probably the prime event that could eliminate the U.S. from being a factor in end time Bible prophecy. When you read the below article take note that Dr. Graham thinks a EMP could reduce the population of the U.S. to about 30 million people. Dr. Graham is not a crackpot he is the foremost expert on EMP’s. He knows what he is talking about. The EMP will not kill anyone directly but it will make all our critical infrastructure systems fail without any hope of a recovery for months or years. We simply could not support most of our population and people would be dying in days.

This is not idol speculation. This danger is well known by our military and our government but congress just cannot seem to do what is right to protect America.

This article indicates that Iran is preparing for an EMP attack against America and if they had such a capability does anyone doubt that they would use it? For this reason alone we must NEVER allow Iran to ever build nuclear weapons. Some may say they would not dare launch an EMP against the U.S. because it would be the end of them. Well maybe that would be true if you were dealing with sane people. These people think that the Maudi would come and fight for them. Iran could also give a nuke to terrorists and it could be launched from a freighter. So then do we nuke Iran without proof that they were even behind it? So Iran must NEVER be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. Some people say they would not be a threat to our nation but these people are not seeing the EMP picture. An EMP could bring the end of this nation.

We also could be done in by a single EMP weapon from China, Russia, or even North Korea. China and Russia have both reminded us of that possibility within the last decade. There are other dangers as well such as Pakistan and non state sponsored terrorist organizations.

I do have to disagree somewhat as to what is the defense against an EMP. This article only talks about a missile shield. An anti missile might intercept a missile fired from another state but it is not likely to intercept a missile from a ship near our coast. It also should be obvious that no state is going to launch an EMP attack on the U.S. and then announce that they did it. So, even if Russia or China were to launch a single missile or two fired from a sub or a surface vessel they will promptly destroy the evidence before we could determine who was behind the attack. So then do we attack everyone with a EMP capability?

Besides stopping unstable nations from getting nuclear weapons material the single most important thing we can do to protect ourselves from an EMP attack is to harden all our critical infrastructure from the effects of an EMP. It would not cost that much to do. It is simply putting a metal shield around electronic and electrical devices as they are being built. It could be largely accomplished in 5 to 10 years if we started now. However, this EMP threat has been known for decades. After the 9/11 attack Congress commissioned experts to report on the EMP threat and that report was given to them four years ago but nothing since has been done. The report reads much like this article but it goes into much more detail.

So with that in mind I would say we can expect an EMP anytime within the next decade and I would say we will still be completely vulnerable to an EMP attack because our government is irrational and it is not likely that they will take the action necessary to make our infrastructures survivable.

I will also say that this is most likely the way that America will be eliminated from end time prophetic events. That might be a bleak announcement but the probability of an EMP happening and causing the destruction of our population is more likely than not. Especially now that the U.S. government and most people in this nation are denying the God that made the U.S. prosper and endorsing debauchery.

“They’ve got [test] ranges in Iran which are more than long enough to handle Scud launches and even Shahab-3 launches,” Dr. Graham said. “Why would they be launching from the surface of the Caspian Sea? They obviously have not explained that to us.”

Another troubling group of tests involved Shahab-3 launches where the Iranians “detonated the warhead near apogee, not over the target area where the thing would eventually land, but at altitude,” Graham said. “Why would they do that?”

Graham chairs the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack, a blue-ribbon panel established by Congress in 2001.

The commission examined the Iranian tests “and without too much effort connected the dots,” even though the U.S. intelligence community previously had failed to do so, Graham said.

“The only plausible explanation we can find is that the Iranians are figuring out how to launch a missile from a ship and get it up to altitude and then detonate it,” he said. “And that’s exactly what you would do if you had a nuclear weapon on a Scud or a Shahab-3 or other missile, and you wanted to explode it over the United States.”

The commission warned in a report issued in April that the United States was at risk of a sneak nuclear attack by a rogue nation or a terrorist group designed to take out our nation’s critical infrastructure.

“If even a crude nuclear weapon were detonated anywhere between 40 kilometers to 400 kilometers above the earth, in a split-second it would generate an electro-magnetic pulse [EMP] that would cripple military and civilian communications, power, transportation, water, food, and other infrastructure,” the report warned.

Within a week or two of the attack, people would start dying, Graham says.

“People in hospitals would be dying faster than that, because they depend on power to stay alive. But then it would go to water, food, civil authority, emergency services. And we would end up with a country with many, many people not surviving the event.”

Asked just how many Americans would die if Iran were to launch the EMP attack it appears to be preparing, Graham gave a chilling reply.

“You have to go back into the 1800s to look at the size of population” that could survive in a nation deprived of mechanized agriculture, transportation, power, water, and communication.

“I’d have to say that 70 to 90 percent of the population would not be sustainable after this kind of attack,” he said.

America would be reduced to a core of around 30 million people

Rep. Trent Franks, R, Ariz., plans to introduce legislation next week that would require the Pentagon to lay the groundwork for an eventual military strike against Iran, to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and EMP capability.

“An EMP attack on America would send us back to the horse and buggy era — without the horse and buggy,” he told the Claremont Institute conference on Saturday. “If you’re a terrorist, this is your ultimate goal, your ultimate asymmetric weapon.”

Noting Iran’s recent sea-launched and mid-flight warhead detonation tests, Rep. Franks concluded, “They could do it — either directly or anonymously by putting some freighter out there on the ocean.”

Almost every nation of the world has such severe debt that just making the interest payments takes a large amount of their financial resources. Much of this world debt is owed to world bankers that then dictate their own economic policy to these countries. These policies do not favor the poor.

The largest economy in the world is the United States. The US government is currently 10 trillion dollars in debt and that is projected to go to 11 trillion or more in two years. Paying the interest on that huge debt in future years will cost about as much as what is spent on national defense (using modern historical interest rates and the cost of defense under normal peace time conditions).

The United States is now by far the biggest debtor nation in the world. For many years we have been importing hundreds of billions more dollars in goods and services than we are exporting each year. In 2005 through 2008 the trade imbalance averaged well over 700 billion dollars per year! Trillions of US dollars are now in the hands of foreign investors who at any time could dump the dollar causing a devaluation of the currency.

Just a few years ago, the US government was forecasting surpluses of trillions of dollars based on the stupid assumption that there would not be a downturn in the economy for decades. This foolish assumption was of course proven wrong and deficit spending has returned to well over “four hundred billion dollars” a year. The only reason the United States is not feeling the pinch of spending beyond its means has been the record low interest rates. The low interest rates were brought about by Federal Reserve manipulation to stimulate the economy but interest rates now will rise. Soon all who need loans will be making higher payments and the US government will be paying much more to service the national debt.

Debt and unfunded liabilities promised through entitlement programs is now over 50 trillion dollars. This amount of money in non inflationary dollars is impossible to raise! Thus, the U.S. is now technically bankrupt. In order to keep up the facade that the US is solvent for even another decade or two one or more of the following must happen.

1. Taxes must be raised.

2. Government spending will have to be drastically cut.

3. Deficit spending will dramatically increase.

If taxes are raised, it will kill the economy and the debt load will get worse and not better. Spending will not be drastically cut because these types of cuts would never get through the political system. Therefore, massive deficit spending will take place. The monetary system will be inflated so that this debt can be paid by using a dollar worth only a fraction of what it is today. This means a much weaker dollar in the future and much higher prices for all goods and services imported to the United States (in short it means we should expect hyper-Inflation). The recent rise in all commodity prices might just be the start of what is to come.

This is Marsha West’s follow-up on “Bam! Bam! bam! said the the false prophet” article. I posted it on this blog not too long ago and there is a also a link to it at the end of this article. This article gives quite a bit of additional information to her above article and she also writes about a first hand account of someone who actually went to Lakeland for healing. I have already told my readers what I think of the Todd Bentley freak show so I will not repeat it all here. If you have not read what I wrote. By the way, there is nothing new about people like Todd Bentley. I have already seen this act first hand thirty years ago by those who started this Word-Faith movement spin off. They used to make the Charismatic mega church circuits in Phoenix when I was living there. One guy I am thinking of also saw angels and later he saw jail (for embezzlement or fraud I believe). Let me assure you that the claimed healings are all nonsense. I personally knew people who claimed healing they obviously never had.

The crowd is put into an auto suggestive state and the rest is much like a stage hypnotist act. They have no problem making people look like fools and I think that is some of their intent. They are actually mocking these gullible people and Christianity. The same gullible people followed these clowns around from venue to venue in the Phoenix area when I was there hoping that this would be the day they would get their healing. It would be laughable if it was not so tragic to the sick and dying and deadly to the true gospel. Now they tie money to the amount of healing you will get which is a refinement of what they used to do. They used to just keep passing the basket until they got what they wanted. Three collections was quite common.

There’s a rumor going around that dead folks are coming to life again, the blind see, the sick are getting healed, amputees are even growing new limbs, all due to the supernatural healing powers of Canadian faith-evangelist Todd Bentley. Some believe there’s a “Holy Spirit breakout” going on at the “Lakeland Outpouring.” Fresh Fire Ministries is behind the so-called revival. The burning question for the Fresh Fire team is, where’s the flesh? Doubting Thomas’s would like to hear a couple of the prior dead stand up and give their testimonies. One verifiable testimony would help.

Here’s another question: Why hasn’t Oprah invited one of the 30 plus people Bentley claims have passed over to the other side, then suddenly reentered their bodies due to his “God-given” healing powers, onto her daytime show. Her audience would eat it up!

My final question is for the Christian who believes Todd Bentley hung the moon and stars: Are you serious?

In my commentary “Bam! Bam! Bam! said the false prophet”[2] I exposed Todd Bentley as a fool and a fraud. Not surprisingly I received a large number of email from Christians who accused me of judging him. Several emailers claimed they’ve been to the Lakeland Outpouring, thus they feel they’re experts on what’s happening there. Because I haven’t “experienced” the “move of the Holy Spirit” first hand, I have no business “judging” Bentley. Which is like saying that those who haven’t been to Afghanistan or Iraq shouldn’t express their opinion on the war. That’s ridiculous! The greater a Christian leader’s responsibility, the greater his/her accountability. Judging is not only permissible, it is every Christian’s duty. But that fact has not stopped some “protectors of the prophet” from being put out with me. And so I received this dire warning: “!” What do they mean by that threat? Critics must keep their hands off word-faith teachers. Which is ludicrous on its face since it’s scriptural to expose false teachers and abusive pastors.

I responded to my critics by saying that my marching orders come from the King! As such, I will continue speaking publicly about Todd Bentley’s unscriptural theology. My mission is to expose Christian liberalism and the influential “Christians” who are leading the undiscerning into neo paganism. Ever wonder why professing Christians say they’re “spiritual” instead of religious? It’s because they’ve strayed from the straight and narrow path and are following the path of the mystics! In other words, they’ve strayed from historic orthodox Christianity and now embrace beliefs acquired from Eastern mysticism! As a result of the Progressive Christianity movement, liberalism and occult practices have made their way into mainline churches.

Progressives have mounted an all out assault on the validity of the Bible. Why? They want to remove the only source of real truth. Who’s behind it? Our adversary the devil! With cameras now hanging over every street corner and parking lot – over
every highway, byway, hallway and aisle way – and in every gas station,
grocery store, shopping mall, office complex, government building,
restaurant and recreational area we visit, it would seem the only way
to escape someone’s watchful eye is to move out into the wilderness
where there are no paved roads, automobiles, bicycles, pedestrians or
surveillance cameras.

But, unfortunately, “the middle of nowhere” no longer exists.

Even if we were invisible to the camera’s lens, we’re easily tracked, day or
night by, among other things, our cell phone transmissions, our debit
and credit card purchases, our ATM withdrawals, and our automobile’s
integrated GPS systems – all old technology. Even when you pay cash for
something at a little convenience store, your image is, more often than
not, recorded along with the items you purchased and the exact time you
purchased them by a mounted security camera overhead. The cameras
outside the store record your vehicle, license number, the precise time
you arrived and left and everyone that was with you.

Does all this post 911 technology make you feel any safer or any freer for that matter?

Me either.

If you believe that people are basically good, Satan doesn’t exist and
Peeping Sam has your best interest in mind, then you probably see the
future as bright and promising. If however, you believe that man is
basically sinful, “absolute power corrupts absolutely” and things are
going to get worse before they get better, then you’re more than likely
anticipating an arduous age ahead.

You see, there is indeed
nowhere to hide. In fact, there never has been – not from an
omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent God. But, the Devil is none of
these, though the scriptures tell us he has aspired to be from the
beginning – and may well be amassing some superstructure of
surveillance and control through the machinations and machinery of men.

What Janet says in this article and her book is going to come to pass if “Christians” do not stop the anti Christian hate speech agenda. Those who love their sins will criminalize anything in Christianity that offends them. If you help elect Obama with his support of hate speech and thought-crime agendas and his stand that is contrary to the Bible on many issues you will have brought it on yourself. Also, if you elect that Liberal to the house or the Senate you will have brought it on yourself.

You can say we are working class, blacks, Catholics etc and we always voted democrat but you had better wake up and realize that this is no longer the party of your daddy. The democrats now represent all anti Christian values. You can’t say you wasn’t warned and that jail cell will not have your name on it it will just have your number.

Or will you just comply with their new laws like Lot and watch your children and grand children and everyone you know join the practices of Sodom and Gomorrah. Be aware that only Lot and his two unmarried daughters escaped the destruction. Where was the rest of his family and all his servants?

You’re a “quiet Christian” who thinks you’ll be safe if you just lie low? That’s exactly what will close your business or your church. Whether you rent rooms like the Knights of Columbus, who were fined $1,000 for not using their facilities to participate in a homosexual “marriage” reception, or are a printer like Scott Brockie, who was fined $5,000 and slapped with $170,000 in legal fees because he didn’t want to print homosexual materials, or the Canadian pastor told to deny his faith and denounce his pro-marriage stand, the ONLY way to keep your freedom is to use it now.

When the church was persecuted in England and Europe, our Founding Fathers came to America for freedom. People still build boats from scrap wood to try to come here for a glimpse of it. America is the last, best hope of the world. If we lose, there is nowhere else to go.

This is not the time for a “protest” vote. And forget about a third party. Because if Barack Obama is elected, with his thought-crimes agenda and support of the redefinition of marriage, the change we see won’t look anything like America.

Peter Jones has it right in this article. Pseudo Christianity will again be going to war again against those true Christians who actually believe the Bible. When the youth of those going to the churches of today grow up (many of them already have) will those four percent that still believe the Bible actually be tolerated by Christianity? Of course not. Pseudo Christianity has persecuted the Church before in history and it will do it again. Christianity is now progressing to enable the coming postmodern inquisitions.

The persecution at the fifth seal of Revelation comes from the religious Harlot not the Antichrist because at this point he has not even arrived on the scene. I believe the Trumpet Judgments are the Lamb’s response to a world that persecuted His Saints. Then the religious Harlot in turn will be destroyed by the Beast she rode.

The ostracizing of Bible believing Christians has already started with “Christian” leaders calling believers that hold to the fundamentals of the faith dangerous and biblical doctrine divisive. In the “tolerant” “politically correct” world of the next decade the Bible will be rewritten, and redefined to accommodate sinful lifestyles. They will outlaw uncensored literal interpretations of the Bible that might offend anyone.

At that point those who speak against politically correct sins of society will be charged with hate speech. The truths of the Bible and true Christianity will be replaced with a world harlot religion where everyone is free do what is right in their own eyes as long as they do not offend or proselytize someone else. All world beliefs including paganism will have equal standing but any religion that claims some exclusive way to God or that offends someone’s self esteem will be called intolerant and will be outlawed.

At that point, which is not that far off, there will be no more reason for the true Church to be here on earth.

Christian Worldview Network - Brannon Howse - New “Progressive Christianity”: An Old Liberal Swindle

Much of what Progressive Christians believe fits with the principles of the radical Emergent Village, emerging from Evangelicalism. Indeed, Liberal Progressives intentionally include “the more progressive evangelicals” in their ranks. In their descriptions of a “generous way” of “following Jesus” (not Christ, for Christ is far too “Christian”), the “progressives” echo Brian McLaren’s A Generous Orthodoxy, in which he calls himself “a Jesus follower.” They focus on Jesus as a mystical human being for all the religions. This is not Jesus, the God/man and Savior, for their “progressive” religion denies sin, claims no unique means of salvation, and, like McLaren, accepts all: “believers, agnostics, atheists and all sexual orientations and gender identities.”

Though “all-inclusive,” Progressives abhor the “modern heresy of fundamentalist Christianity.” Though rejecting absolute truth, they define their “god” as “absolute love, justice, and peace,” rejoicing to find their new absolutism in the “godless European Union with its insistence on equal justice for women and gay people.” The absolute mess which is present-day Europe, held up as the ideal for the future of America and the planet, ought to fill us with despair!

Progressives are euphoric as they ride a new social wave of all-inclusive social justice globalism, for it provides a timely pretext to justify their basic unbelief about the Christian Gospel. With undisguised optimism they believe their time has come, in two ways:

1. they rejoice in the theological implosion of historic Christianity, and, for the good of the planet, you understand, salivate over the fact that only “four percent of Bible believing teenagers will be Bible-believing Christians as adults”;

2. they are eager to capitalize on, and I quote, “a historic opportunity to seize the country’s foundational narratives about itself, and recast them in a way that opens doors to the [global] future we seek.” Is this what the political Left, which also now describes itself as “progressive” and claims to be “Christian,” really means by “change”?

As the third millennium began, Frederic Baue (The Spiritual Society) predicted the coming of “a phase of Western or world civilization that is innately religious but hostile to Christianity…or worse, a dominant but false church that brings all of its forces to bear against the truth of God’s Word.”

Is “Christian” liberalism beginning to join with spiritual pagans and activist courts, to demonize, marginalize, and ultimately silence the biblical message by defining the Gospel as a global hate crime?

Is America now under judgment? When are acts of God acts of God? Has America done anything worthy of judgment? You be the judge.

• So far this year we are involved in two foreign wars with another war being a distinct possibility.
• We have had unprecedented numbers of tornadoes.
• The Mid-West floods have been catastrophic.
• More of California has burned this year then in any year in history and the fires are still burning with a fire season that still has a long way to go

On the Economic Front.

• Falling Real estate values have caused the greatest financial crises since the great depression.
• Tens of millions are losing equity in there homes, millions are losing their homes.
• The stock market is down 20 percent and pension funds and insurance will also lose at least that much value.
• Banks, brokerage firms and corporations are failing and need to be bailed out by the government.
• The U.S. dollar is the weakest it has been in modern times.
• Gasoline prices are four times what they were a few years ago.
• Heating bills will be much higher this winter.
• All electric bills are about to shoot up about twenty percent in one year.
• Food prices are up 10 to 20 percent this year.
• Inflation across the board is the worst in years and most of the costs have not even been passed through yet.
• Services in the U.S. are becoming unreliable.
• Unemployment is on the rise and it is going to get much higher.
• Due to falling revenues state and local governments are going to run into major deficit problems

Crime and amorality

• Gangs have taken over much of our inner cities.
• Drug trafficking is epidemic.
• Illegal drugs are used by a very large percentage of our population.
• 2.2 million people are in prison in this nation. This is the highest incarceration rate in the world.
• There are 10 to 20 million people in this country illegally.
• One in four adults in the U.S. has a VD. Homosexual males have a ten year shorter life span, yet, the pushing of homosexuality and sexual promiscuity is all over the media and sexual perversion is taught in our schools as normal healthy lifestyles and this is forced on suggestible children.
• Homosexual marriage is now legal in two states.
• There have been 50 million abortions in the U.S. and taxpayers in one way or another are paying much of the cost. Much of the black population in the U.S. is being aborted but most black leaders keep promoting it.
• Scams and rip-off schemes are epidemic especially on the Internet.

Politics.

• Congress has a nine percent approval rating.
• Judges are legislating law from the bench contrary to the Constitution.
• Special interest groups control almost all politicians and it is now almost impossible to get incumbents out of office.
• Thanks to the voters we have two choices for the President that want more globalism and more socialism. Both will bring in a liberal supreme court. Both will pass hate speech laws that will negatively impact Christians.

Religion.

• A generation of seeker friendly services has watered down much of what is left of Evangelical Christianity.
• The Emergent movement is redefining biblical truths and downplaying biblical doctrine.
• Most claiming to be Christians are biblically illiterate not having read through the Bible even once in their lives, far less have understanding of the passages in context.
• People flaunting their sins are put in church leadership roles.
• Psychology theories originated from the occult have corrupted much Christian counseling and other programs.
• New Age pagan thought is now all over the media and is being accepted by many claiming to be Christians.
• Much of the youth is leaving Christianity for postmodern relativism

If God were to continue judging this nation what might our immediate future hold?

• The economy would continue to decline.
• Hyperinflation is a very real possibility.
• Unemployment may become a very serious issue.
• There could be much greater weather related storms, droughts and crop failures.
• Major earthquakes would become likely.
• Major volcanic activity is certainly possible.
• Leadership in government could continue to get worse (even lower then scraping the bottom).
• Terrorist attacks would become likely.
• Hate speech laws will be passed and constitutional freedoms will be redefined by the courts. Government tyranny will become a major issue.
• A nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack may happen. It would leave the nation helpless without electric for months or years. (This would be the ultimate judgment it would most likely bring the complete collapse of our society).
• The complete collapse of our economic system is possible.
• Collapse of our social system and declining into anarchy is possible.
• The break up of the Union is possible.

The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Don’t you think it would be wise for people in this nation to fear the Lord instead of Him having to send correction because we will not do what is right?

Craig Smith says were heading for massive inflation in a couple of years. I also believe high inflation is inevitable since they will not allow a massive depression and can’t raise taxes or it would cause one. So they will just print all the funny money they need for the massive bail-outs. Then government will put on a lying happy face and tell everyone how our economy is not in a recession and how it is growing at 2 percent a year. Meanwhile, the costs of everything you need to live on will increase twelve percent or more each year for at least the next decade.

Translation: a 10 percent decline in your living standards each year for a decade or by 2020 we will have the living standard that Mexicans have today. Think it can’t happen here? Why not, it is happening in other nations and their debt load is less than ours? The U.S. is not magic-land the bills will come due. No it does not matter who you elect to be President the economic die is already cast. They may try price controls and rationing but we all know from history that just brings more government control, black markets and eventually total collapse of the free economic system. I highly doubt if they will allow you to keep your gold and silver and they will make you sell it to them at their price not the world market price. So what do you do? Learn to live on half of what you live on today, because you will. Think of it as a judgment on America for becoming the greedy godless heathens that we have become, because it will be. And yes, it could even be much even worse.

In the eye of an economic storm

Soon our financial leaders like Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson will either have to prepare America for a lot more pain or employ all their resources to bail everyone out of the mess. From commercial banks to homeowners. Credit card users to common businesses. All will look to the Fed and the government for their financial salvation.

Given that we are in an election year, the Fed will not disappoint. It will run the printing press at full speed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the cash necessary to save the system. It will have to choose between doing the right thing and political expediency.

Which will they choose? Will the government stop spending money? Will the Fed stand by and watch a commercial bank or a company like General Motors go bankrupt? I doubt it. They will make piles of freshly printed money to keep the spending orgy afloat.

The Fed has to turn the spigot on and do so fast. Inflation will run well above the current (ridiculous) official rate of 4 percent. Expect to see 8 to 12 percent inflation at minimum until the markets recover from the fresh injection of easy cash they get from the Fed. Creating inflation will ruin the life savings of the many people who did not prepare. We have seen it happen. Yet we ignore the lessons of history. This round of inflation will only put off the day of reckoning yet again, and this time we may not recover.

I hope I am wrong. Believe me when I say I take no pleasure in writing this type of assessment of the current conditions we face, but I can not change the facts. We have overindulged at the trough of debt. Government, business and individuals spent borrowed money like there was no tomorrow. But tomorrow has indeed arrived.

The government is already setting up informant networks that may enforce government tyranny. It all starts with the best of intentions but that is not the way it ends up. Soon your nation has become like Hitler’s Germany or Stalin’s USSR. Where a small percent of informers are paid to keep watch on everyone else. Then the social engineers pass hate speech laws and the informers report people who espouse extremist beliefs like the second coming of Jesus Christ. They will become subversives, and all who quote certain parts of the Bible will become hate speech criminals. It is happening in China and North Korea. Think it can’t happen here? Keep letting things go the way they are going now and you find out differently.

Hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers have been trained and recently dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.

According to a Denver Post report, “It’s a tactic intended to feed better data into terrorism early-warning systems and uncover intelligence that could help fight anti-U.S. forces. But the vague nature of the TLOs’ mission, and their focus on reporting both legal and illegal activity, has generated objections from privacy advocates and civil libertarians.

“Suspicious activity” is broadly defined in TLO training as behavior that could lead to terrorism: taking photos of no apparent aesthetic value, making measurements or notes, espousing extremist beliefs or conversing in code, according to a draft Department of Justice/Major Cities Chiefs Association document.”

“We don’t snoop into private citizens’ lives. We aren’t living in a communist state,” claims Lt. Tony Lopez, commander of Denver’s intelligence unit - but the program bears close parallels to the East German Stasi system, which at its height employed one informant for every seven citizens.

Since authorities now define mundane activities like buying baby formula, beer, wearing Levi jeans, carrying identifying documents like a drivers license and traveling with women or children or mentioning the U.S. constitution as the behavior of potential terrorists, the bounty for the American Stasi to turn in political dissidents is sure to be too tempting to resist.

As any budding dictator will tell you, the creation of an informant society where individuals self-regulate their behavior in fear of being turned in by a citizen spy is one of the key stepping stones to tyranny. To have the media celebrate the fact that people are reporting on their neighbors and grandchildren puts the icing on the cake.

In another post today I indicated pretty much what Hawkins says in this article. We certainly are only one Supreme Court justice away from being like the French. We might not even be that far away because Justice Kennedy can go either way. For me it is a forgone conclusion that the court will turn liberal and legislate from the bench to take away our constitutional rights no matter if Obama or McCain appoints the next Justices. When men in black robes who act like the French start to do that I wonder what our people will do? Will they continue to be the government of the people or the people run by five or more socialist social engineers wearing French black robes.

Only One Justice Away from Being French - HUMAN EVENTS

The more news coverage of the Supreme Court’s “historic” decision upholding the Second Amendment I saw the more depressed I became. Though I’m grateful for the way the decision fell, I could not help being appalled by the fact that only 5 out of 9 justices now believe that the Constitution is constitutional. In short, the United States is only one liberal Supreme Court justice away from being judicially transformed into France.

Each semester in my American History courses on the university campus, I explain to my students that the 2nd Amendment is the only amendment which contains the words, “necessary to the security of a free state.” If you take away the 2nd Amendment you take away security, plain and simple. The kind of security free men know and love; the kind of security hundreds of thousands of our military men and women have died to restore to failing European nations; the kind friends of mine revel in when they get their concealed carry permits and say, “Frenchmen can’t do this.”

Yet the magnitude of this issue persuades me that I have not said enough, and that I even understated the seriousness of this matter in my opening paragraph when I indicated that only 5 out 9 justices now believe the Constitution to be constitutional. Therefore, in the interest of freedom and clarity of speech, I am determined that the next time a student asks about gun rights or a friend about concealed carry licenses, I will take the time in both situations to remind them that we are now only one liberal justice away from being transformed into Frenchmen.

Just wait a couple of years until what they are doing in Colorado and California becomes national laws. Think not? Give Democrats complete control of all branches of government and I assure you national hate speak laws and school and corporate sex indoctrination laws will be passed and enforced.

Just look at the recent vote on the second amendment to the Constitution. Any idiot can read that it forbids the disarming of the people. Yet four of nine Supreme Court Judges did not see it that way. All of them were Liberals and these four always vote against any literal interpretation of our constitution. Elect a democrat to President and within a few years there will be at least five liberals on the Supreme Court. Then Katie bar the door. When Congress, the President and the Supreme court subvert the original intent of the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights Conservative Christian people will either become censored and oppressed, become criminals, or their will be enough of them in certain states to vote that their state secede from the Union.

That is how close this nation is to the brink and if you want to insure that the criminalization of biblical Christianity becomes a reality in the next five years go ahead and vote for Obama and all people who think like him.

‘Religion in private’ OK, declares ACLU

“Will SB200 be the end of it? No. Next, hate crime legislation must be passed so that it is illegal for me to write this letter (as it is now illegal in Canada); then enforced homosexual/transsexual indoctrination of our children in the public educational system; finally, all other alternative forms of education must be outlawed. Impossible, you say? It’s already happened in California,” he said. “As I’m being forced into this ’shotgun wedding’ with the radical homosexual agenda, I hope it’s not too late to ’speak now, or forever hold my peace.’ What is it called when you are forced, against your will, to participate in a sexual lifestyle that you find objectionable? I believe that is called ‘rape.’ My state legislature has ‘violated’ me and charged me with the crime.”

Tom Minnery, the senior vice president of government and public policy for Focus, told the Denver Post there are “multiple problems” with the plan, “but the problem of restrooms is the most breathtaking one. … With SB200, however, we no longer have two ’sexes,’ we enter a brave new world with a myriad of ’sexual orientations’ that must not be discriminated against, upon pain of the substantial civil and criminal penalties contained in the bill.

“Woe to the first women’s fitness facility or mall owner who objects to a man dressed as a woman who wants to enter previously forbidden territory. And what an opportunity for sexual predators,” he wrote.

He said every Christian, Jewish or Muslim business owner now is under a threat.

“We’ve seen … charges brought by homosexuals against a video reproduction business in Virginia, a medical clinic in California, an adoption service in Arizona and a church in New Jersey,” he continued. “Colorado tops them all on the potential outrage meter, however, because in addition to civil fines and penalties, small-business owners can be prosecuted under the criminal laws of Colorado and spend up to one year in jail for trying to live according to their faith.”

There are other groups preparing for full-scale war in Colorado.

“American RTL [Right to Life] Action is a political 527 group headquartered a half-block from the Colorado capitol, and we’re not going to hire someone cohabitating outside of marriage, let alone a homosexual,” said Steve Curtis, the group’s president and former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party. “SB200 also makes it a crime for us to publish biblical teaching on immorality, so we are prepared to violate this anti-Christian government censorship. The liberals always said what homosexuals do in private could never affect anyone else; of course that was always a lie; they’re trying to criminalize traditional Christianity. The fight is on.”

Yep, right here in the good old USA in once conservative Christian Colorado they have criminalized Christianity. I think it is time to get the tar and feathers ready. Some politicians and special interest groups in the U.S. are simply going to have to be dealt with or it will continue to spread across the land like the plague. If you want to know how serious this is just read the last sentence of this section in the law. If they do not even desire what you said you can be arrested.

Censorship. Book burning. The Criminalization of Christianity. It’s here and it’s now the law in the state of Colorado.

The Ku Klux Klan can march. The Nazis can hand out brochures. Skinheads can do whatever it is that Skinheads do. But in the state of Colorado, the only group who is NOT allowed to be heard is … the Christians. They’re the ones who disagree with same-sex marriage, cohabitation, and believe the biblical view that homosexuality is a sin. But if they voice that objection from now on, it had better be inside the four walls of a church. If not, they’ll be staring at the four walls of a prison cell … for up to a year.

No kidding.

You see, Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed into law SB 200 and turned public restrooms and locker rooms into a predator paradise where men can enter (and shower in) any female public facility in the state. You’d think that would be as bad as it gets – but wait: Section 8 of that same bill claims to trump the First Amendment:

Section 8. 24-34-701. Publishing of discriminative matter forbidden. No person, being the owner, lessee, proprietor, manager, superintendent, agent, or employee of any place of public accommodation … shall publish, issue, circulate, send, distribute, give away, or display in any way, manner, or shape or by any means or method, except as provided in this section, any communication, paper, poster, folder, manuscript, book, pamphlet, writing, print, letter, notice, or advertisement of any kind, nature, or description that is intended or calculated to discriminate or actually discriminates against … SEXUAL ORIENTATION, marital status … in the matter of furnishing or neglecting or refusing to furnish to them or any one of them any lodging, housing, schooling, or tuition or any accommodation, right [marriage], privilege [adoption], advantage, or convenience … on account of … SEXUAL ORIENTATION, marital status … [which] is unwelcome or objectionable or not acceptable, desired, or solicited.

Karl Marx was right. “Democracy is the road to socialism” - in a nation hell-bent upon voting itself gifts from the public trough. Once an electorate is hooked on government solutions to personal self-induced problems, like a junkie on crack, the democratic process once used to guarantee individual freedom is perverted into a tool used to extinguish individual freedom. Democrats call it a greater good. The rest of the world calls it socialism.

It only took America 232 years to arrive at this moment…

It is in this way, that Thomas Jefferson was also right. “A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.”

the entire Democrat political platform is built upon the notion that “fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine” - in the name of a greater good, of course.

The 50% who no longer pay taxes in America (most of them Democrats) have the right to strip the other 50% of Americans (most of them Republicans) of their lawful earnings for the betterment of a communal good. Only government has the right to determine each individuals worth. Even McCain and other Republicans have fallen for this line of thinking.

Winston Churchill said it well; “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” How can a nation survive leadership by people who often can’t manage their own lives?

What do we have when those who depend upon government for their very existence outnumber those who pick up the government tab? Because, that’s where we are in America circa 2008.

Democrats seek dominion over the lives of others. They seek the power to decide the worth of individuals. They seek the power to “free” some by “enslaving” others. In the end, modern Democrats will enslave both. They seek the power of life and death over the most innocent and defenseless American citizens.

Just as the debtor is enslaved to the lender, the welfare recipient is enslaved to his caretaker. Government dependents vote for Democrats because they must. Democrats promise to keep them enslaved by keeping the bread crumbs of life flowing.

Jefferson said, “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”- “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

Not only are they working on mixing the genetics of species to create new species they are planning to create new lifeforms altogether. Thing about it. Any life could be created by design. How about if someone created a non lethal insect like creatures that flies and stings people until the designer obtains total submission and control over the earth (Rev 9:3-11)?

Do we really want to trust man not to screw up creation through his trial and error experiments and also not think they he will not eventually use his knowledge for weapons of war and control?

AN EMERGING field of science which is being used to create artificial life is at risk of damaging the ecosystem and being abused by terrorists, according to a new report.
Scientists have high hopes for a new technique called synthetic biology, which involves engineering organisms so they work in new ways that do not currently exist in nature.

What is synthetic biology?

The creation of artificial biological systems and organisms. This could involve redesigning existing cell chromosomes, or creating a whole new artificial life system.

Has artificial life been created by scientists?

Craig Venter, a controversial DNA researcher involved in the race to decipher the human genetic code, announced last year he had created a synthetic chromosome in the laboratory, christened mycoplasma laboratorium.

The next step will be to insert this into a living bacterial cell. It is expected to take control of the cell, in effect becoming a new life form.

What are the concerns?

Opponents to synthetic biology say that artificial microbes may have dangerous consequences, such as escaping into the environment or being used to manufacture bioweapons.

Other concerns are that commercial monopolies could be created in areas such as the development of fuels.
