Back in 2005 I relocated to Arizona and bought a house there because my wife was planning on starting a cash based Osteopathic practice in the area. Housing was way overpriced but if you wanted to live in Arizona you had no choice but to pay the price. I purchased a two year old house for $207,000 that the original owner had paid only $150,000 for just two years earlier. The scriptures say that God created man in His own image. Some ancient text scholars say it means that man was created by God to be His image bearers or imagers. I think that is at least partly correct. We can look at other passages and get some light on what this means. Scripture tells us that Jesus is the express image of God (Heb 1:3) and we know that Jesus as God’s image has the capacity to be God over all creation. In like manner, man made in the image of God was given the capacity to rule over the whole earth. Genesis later implies the same thing when we read that God gave man dominion over the earth. Right now we obviously have a stability problem in the Middle East that drives speculators to bet that oil prices will go higher. The speculators create a spike or bubble and that is why gas is now $4 a gallon. If we can get the Middle East to settle down (fat chance) and get our government to start developing our own huge oil reserves, oil could soon fall to $50 a barrel. That would mean that in most states gas would be under $2 a gallon. Read more...
I find it interesting that in Revelation the Greek word for the Beast Antichrist and the False prophet is that of a wild animal. The first time this Greek word appears in Revelation is after Satan is cast out of heaven with all his angels. The King James also calls the creatures around the throne beasts but a different Greek word is used and it simply means living creatures. But, the name given to the Antichrist and the False prophet depict that in God’s eyes they are viewed as wild animals. Read more...
If you look on my blog side bar you will see by far the post that is being hit on the most frequently is The Book of Enoch and Bible prophecy. That fact probably has more to do with keyword rankings in Google then it does with the interests of the readers of this Blog, but even so, the account in Genesis of the Son’s of God taking the daughters of men as wife’s and producing an offspring called the Nephilim seems to be of great interest to a whole lot of people.
