Iran and the solutions to Iran’s ability to produce nuclear weapons is the number one concern in the world other than an economic collapse but a military strike on Iran could also push the economy of the world over the edge or even start a world war that will rage from Israel to India and even beyond through terrorist related activity.

People who study the Iranian crises and those that study Bible prophecy have suggestions of how the Iranian crises may play out:

Some think that America or Israel will bomb Iran. That of course risks the scenario of an oil related economic crises and even a world war. It also would only delay Iran from getting nuclear weapons for a couple of years. Iran already has the nuclear knowledge and they will retain the knowledge in spite of any bombing. The only way to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons long term now by force would  be by an occupation of Iran. That is not likely. At least lets hope so, or welcomed to the start of world war III.

Others think we should turn up the heat by means of economic sanctions against Iran. Any rational thinking person should know that sanctions alone have never worked against nations run by tyrants and they are not going to work here either. China has oil agreements with Iran and Russia has strategic interests to keep Iran as an ally so Russia and China are not going to agree to any sanctions that would actually harm Iran. So, sanctions have zero chance of success and frankly I think everyone knows this. The pretense is just a facade being used as a delaying tactic to sideline those that want to bomb Iran yesterday.

Still others think we should do nothing and allow Iran to become a nuclear state thinking that Iran would then act responsibility. But the leaders of Iran have proven that they are irresponsible and quite frankly quite nuts. If Iran became nuclear all the nations around Iran would also become nuclear. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt have flat out said they will develop nukes if Iran is allowed to develop nuclear weapons. All of Europe would be under the threat of a nuclear Iran and even the United States would be at risk from a nuclear EMP  attack or Iran sponsored nuclear terrorism. It also is not rational to believe that Israel could ever allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. So, obviously allowing Iran to possess nuclear weapons is not even within the realm of possibilities.

Obviously none of the above scenarios are an acceptable solution to solve the grave Iran nuclear weapons problem. So what is left? I have suggested on a earlier post that the solution could be an internal revolution in Iran to overthrow the Muslim theocracy and its appointed figure heads. Others then have suggested to me that this revolution is not going to happen because the tyrants have all the power. On Feb 11th we saw that the tyrants were able to stymie the opposition by filling the streets of Terran with the ten or twenty percent that still support the Islamic theocracy and also by trucking in hirelings from outside Terran to help suppress any opposition. The Western press was not allowed to see areas that were not under full control of the Islamics but in spite of what the Western media saw in Terran the Green Revolution in Iran is not dead.  There will be another day for the vast majority of Iranians that do not want a Islamic republic. What the Iranians really need is a catalyst for a revolution. Had there been pictures of people being run over by tanks there might have been a Revolution but the Mullah’s were careful  to not create martyrs on Feb 11th. They also did not allow free communications so the opposition had problems they did not anticipate so they lost round two to the Mullahs but there will be a round three. Either side could score a knockout in the next round or in any subsequent round because there are just too many unknowns for any prediction of outcome.

Anyway, short of a Iranian Revolution there is no good solution to the Iranian nuclear weapons program. America really cannot be heavily involved in any Iranian Revolution either because the people of Iran still remember the U.S. support of the Shaw. Even if the tyrants only have support from only ten percent of the people they are able today to keep the ninety percent in check. Its the same old story whenever tyrants rule and possess all the guns. They can control the sheeple with a small force. Unless the military rank and file turns against the Mullahs they will stay in power.  But, the prestigious and more highly paid Revolutionary Guard Corps are the threat that keeps the military under control.  This is a pattern with all tyrants they have top down control.  If anyone in the ranks dares to question anyone above them they risk getting killed or imprisoned. it is very effective control and it is active in Iran.

So again, what actions can we take against nations like Iran that are controlled by tyrants? We really cannot bomb Iran without risking dire consequences for the world and our over extended military already has more than enough fires to put out. So, maybe the United States needs to rethink its whole strategy for how to deal with nations run by tyrants?

When tyrants are in control the problem is usually not with the majority of the people of a nation. The problem is that the sheeple allowed tyrants to gain total control over them. So it does not make a whole lot of sense to war against people already oppressed by their bullies. The victims of the bullies should not be the enemy the bullies are the enemy. Therefore, we need to war against the tyrants of these nations. If we can eliminate the tyrants the oppressed people will gain control. So then the question in the case of Iran becomes how do we free the people of Iran from their tyrants?

I do not think it would be all that difficult if we used all of our high tech military capabilities and surveillance agencies effectively and give them the highest priority on this Iranian problem. We would strike only the head of this snake. That means we would not attempt to bomb the nuclear sites or the infrastructure of Iran or even the regular military. For if we did that we are going to kill many innocent people and instead of our actions bringing about an internal revolution against the tyrants there would be a war rally cry against the external invaders. So this operation must be done in top secret and carried out with surgical precision. We might take some lessons from how Israel gets their man. Here is how I think the operation could be carried out.

Operation Defang the Snake.

NATO would target the ruling mullahs, the puppet leaders, the Revolutionary Guard leaders and Revolutionary Guard military assets. For a number of months NATO would by every surveillance means possible follow and document the movements of all targets pre-determined to be hit. Their daily locations and habits would be plotted and recorded.   On a day known to only a very few with need to know NATO (mostly US forces) would hit their targets by every high tech means at there disposal. It would include massive use of U.S. Predators, cruise missiles, special forces etc. The entire operation to defang the snake would be completed in two or three days. There should be complete press black out on the entire operation. All communications in Iran should be blinded by EMP weapons or jamming. Even the Iranian people should not know what is happening in their country until the head of the snake is removed and defanged. After the defang operation is completed we would air drop green pamphlets in the cites telling the people that most of the tyrants that oppressed the Green Democratic Movement of Iran have been taken out by the Iranian resistance along with help of NATO allies of the Iranian people. It should tell all the Iranian people to take to the streets and overthrow any remaining oppressors and declare a secular Democratic Republic. At nearly the same time Iranian resistance leaders would be positioned by special forces in all the large cities and given the means to get out the message through electronic media.

As a side benefit just think of the fear this operation will put into other world tyrants and the high ranking supporters of  all such tyrants. It could be a new model to deal with nations run by tyrants in the future.

I know some teachers of Bible prophecy will say this revolution in Iran cannot happen because Iran comes with Russia against Israel in the Ezekiel war. It is true that Iran comes with Russia but looking at the almost feeble military of Russia today I think that the Gog war is still about two decades in the future. I am not talking about a fall of Islam in Iran as a result of this Iranian revolution but only that Iran will change into a modern secular run country until the time of the Gog war. If Iran’s nuclear facilities are bombed by Israel or America like some Bible prophecy teachers believe there simply is no way any time soon that Israel can be living in peace and security as described in Ezekiel before the Gog war. There will be no peace and safety while Iran is rebuilding its nuclear capabilities.

There really are only four options in my opinion.

1. The present leadership of Iran makes peace with Israel (that may happen when hell freezes over).

2. Iran is bombed and a more moderate government results and scraps the nuclear weapons program (But bombing is more likely to produce endless conflict).

3. Iran is bombed and is also occupied until near the time of the Gog war. (Who will occupy Iran? Certainly not us).

4. There is a internal revolution in Iran and a more moderate secular government scraps the nuclear weapons program for a peaceful nuclear program until the time of the Gog war.

In light of world events I think a Revolution in Iran seem to be the most likely scenario that answers how Israel can possibly be living in peace and security without fearing Iran if the Gog invasion actually takes place within the next twenty years like most Bible Prophecy teachers think.

Since this blog is supposed to be about world trends I guess I should mention that Iran is now telling the world that on Feb 11 they will Punch the Arrogance of the Western powers and that this punch will leave the Western world powers stunned. I do not think anyone really knows what the leaders of Iran are implying but I know that Iran already stuns the Western world with its own arrogance.

I predict that Iran will attempt to crush the green movement on Feb 11th and they will stun the world with their barbaric brutality. Other than that, I am not sure what Iran could pull off that would stun the world powers.

The leaders of Iran also just announced that they have started to further enrich their uranium.  Iran also recently launched a satellite and that has EMP implications for the West in the future. But since these actions of Iran are already known that is not what Iran is talking about for their Feb 11 surprise punch. One observation that is apparent to me is that Iran’s latest actions seem to be inviting Israel to strike them.

So not really knowing what these loons in Iran are up to. I will just give you my top ten possibilities why the world will be stunned by Iran on Feb 11.

10. Ahmadinejad and Khamenei will announce that they are possessed by alien spirits sent here to save the world from the Devil.

9.  Iran will launch the ” the monkey” aka Ahmadinejad into outer space.

8. The rulers of Iran will declare victory and resign.

7.  Iran will close the Persian gulf for a few hours until they receive the counter punch.

6. Ahmadinejad will ride on a S-300 missile in the Islamic revolution anniversary parade.

5. Kim Jong -il, Bashar al-Assad, Hugo Chavez and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will square dance while Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fiddles at the anniversary party.

4. Obama will make a surprise appearance at the anniversary party and bow to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

3. Iran will announce it already has nukes.

2. Former world boxing champion Muhammad Ali gave Iran his “rope-a-dope” secret weapon. 

1.  The Mahdi will pop out of Ahmadinejad’s hat on Feb 11.

In my opinion the leaders of Iran should listen to some wise words of advise and put a muzzle on it.

Like many fellow Bible prophecy students, for a couple of years I took the position that Israel or the United States will bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities “any day now” The bombing in my mind was imminent. If you remember many thought that Bush would do it before the election primaries and then before the election and then before leaving office.  If anyone was going to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities the best time to have done so was before Iran acquired the nuclear know how. However, that did not happen.

If anyone should bomb Iran today it would not achieve much since Iran already has the nuclear know how and they could rebuild their efforts in just a few years.  Today we really would have to invade and occupy Iran to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Does anyone think that the American people would tolerate an occupation of Iran after Iraq and Afghanistan? Further, in Bible prophecy we see that Persia comes with Gog (Russia) against Israel in the latter years. This could not happen if Iran was occupied by the West.

Therefore, I no longer think it is likely that Israel or the United States will bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities, at least it is not imminent (so having said that, it will probably happen tomorrow). There are a number of additional reasons why I no longer believe that Iran will be bombed even though I know that some fellow students of Bible prophecy will disagree with my analysis.

There is the start of a revolution going on in Iran. America is going to wait to see how it plays out before we get ourselves in another war. Many think the green movement in Iran will be crushed by the Mullahs. Others think that this will turn into a full fledged revolution and that the end of the Islamic regime is inevitable. Whatever the truth of the outcome, I do not think we are going to bomb Iran or allow Iran to be bombed by Israel until this Iranian green revolution fully plays out. We may get a clue where this is going when millions of Iranians take to the streets on Feb 11.

I think the United States has made it very clear to Israel that we will oppose any unilateral actions at this time. Israel is not stupid. They know they cannot fight the entire Middle East without the support of America and the leaders of Israel have no faith in God so don’t expect them to rely there for help either. I think Israel would have to have hard evidence of weapons grade uranium being produced in Iran before any attack would be authorized and if they actually did have such proof then America would be with them.

Since Iran cannot be allowed to have nukes and there is nothing in Bible prophecy about Iran until the Gog invasion I am now inclined to believe that Iran will decide not to develop nuclear weapons. I believe this most likely occurs because there will be a popular secular revolution in Iran. Then, in order to become a full member of the world the people of Iran will choose to convert the nuclear weapons program to a peaceful program and allow international oversight.

Next on the agenda for the Middle East is probably the Psalm 83 war. That war is now imminent. It will bring the destruction of most of the military forces of the Arabs. It will probably be kicked off by Hezbollah. Sure Hezbollah is supported by Iran and Hezbollah is chomping at the bit to go at Israel but Hezbollah knows they need Syrian and Iranian support to succeed.

If Iran has a revolution Hezbollah will lose Iranian support and they will have to fully rely on Syria and Arab nations. Then the players of the war of Psalm 83 are fully in place. Iran is not mentioned in Psalm 83 but all the Arab nations around Israel are.

Certainly there  is a possibility that the Mullahs of Iran could try to kick this war off to forestall the revolution in Iran but doing so might also be the catalyst for the Iranian people to throw off the Mullahs rather than see their country destroyed. Especially if they should see Damascus in ruins (Isa 17:1) because Syria used weapons of mass destruction against Israel or hit their nuclear reactor spreading radiation on the people. If Iran was involved I would expect the same fate for Tehran but there is no hint of that in Bible prophecy. So either Damascus is a demonstration to Iran to cease or more likely Iran is not involved in the war at all. Remember that Iran is not Arab, in fact the Persian people and the Arabs have no great love for each other. It will not take much for Iran to turn against the Arabs if the Mullahs are out of the way.

Today even under persecution the common Iranian people are becoming increasingly open to the gospel. There was an article on this in the latest Voice of the Martyrs Magazine. So rather than a imminent bombing of Iran I now expect a revolution in Iran and a window where the gospel can be preached until some future time when Russia leads a great host of nations against Israel in the Gog war.

Nevertheless, we cannot be dogmatic about these speculations and your opinions about the fate of Iran and how this will play out may be better than mine. So you are invited to present your food for thought here and I intend to butt out unless I am actually asked something.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season with their family and friends and hope you all will have a joyful new year in Christ.

We have arrived to a new year and a new decade and I know 2009 was bad for many but 2010 will be worse.

Here are seven things to consider in 2010. They are likely to impact us in one way or another.

1. We probably should start in the house of God. How long will God put up with those on TV speaking in his name?  Christians have been putting up with the rats in our Christian TV for quite a long time. It is high time to clean out these vermin nests before God does. For decades I have been calling Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) The Blasphemy Network because I think that name is much more fitting. I have not watched TBN for some years but from what I hear it just gets worse and worse.  Dr. John MacArthur decided to give TBN a look-over when he was recovering from knee surgery. MacArthur is not one to mince words and he did not in this article he named the Unholy Trinity. The article has been re-posted all over the Internet so you may have already read it. If not, I suggest that you and all Christians read it and take heed and stop supporting these “Christian” TV heretics. They are giving a false gospel to millions and hindering the work of the Church in these last day.  Here are a couple of clips from MacArthur’s article.

I’m outraged at the brazen way so many false teachers twist the message of Scripture in Jesus’ name. And I’m frustrated because I’m certain that if these charlatans were not receiving a large proportion of their financial support from sincere believers (and silent acquiescence from Christian leaders who surely know better), they would have no platform for their shenanigans. They would soon lose their core constituency and fade from the scene. Instead, religious quacks are actually multiplying at a frightening pace. One thing I discovered to my immense displeasure is that TBN is by no means the only religious network broadcasting poisonous false doctrine around the clock. The channel lineup I receive includes at least seven other channels whose schedules are filled with false teachers and charlatans. There’s The Church Channel, Daystar, GodTV, World Harvest Television (LeSEA), Total Christian Television, and several others. Some of them feature blocs of family television programing and a few fairly sound teachers who provide moments of escape from the prosperity preachers. But all of them give prominence to enormous amounts of heresy and religious claptrap—enough to make them positively dangerous. And TBN is singularly responsible for kicking that door open so wide.

TBN is by far the leading perpetrator of that lie worldwide. Virtually all the network’s main celebrities tell listeners that God will give them healing, wealth, and other material blessings in return for their money. On program after program people are urged to “plant a seed” by sending “the largest bill you have or the biggest check you can write” with the promise that God will miraculously make them rich in return. That same message dominates all of TBN’s major fundraising drives. It’s known as the “seed faith” plan, so-called by Oral Roberts, who set the pattern for most of the charismatic televangelists who have followed the trail he blazed. Paul Crouch, founder, chairman, and commander-in-chief of TBN, is one of the doctrine’s staunchest defenders.

The only people who actually get rich by this scheme, of course, are the televangelists. Their people who send money get little in return but phony promises—and as a result, many of them turn away from the truth completely.

If the scheme seems reminiscent of Tetzel, that’s because it is precisely the same doctrine. (Tetzel was a medieval monk whose high-pressure selling of indulgences—phony promises of forgiveness—outraged Martin Luther and touched off the Protestant Reformation.)

Like Tetzel, TBN preys on the poor and plies them with false promises. Yet what is happening daily on TBN is many times worse than the abuses that Luther decried because it is more widespread and more flagrant. The medium is more high-tech and the amounts bilked out of viewers’ pockets are astronomically higher. (By most estimates, TBN is worth more than a billion dollars and rakes in $200 million annually. Those are direct contributions to the network, not counting millions more in donations sent directly to TBN broadcasters.) Like Tetzel on steroids, the Crouches and virtually all the key broadcasters on TBN live in garish opulence, while constantly begging their needy viewers for more money. Elderly, poor, and working-class viewers constitute TBN’s primary demographic. And TBN’s fundraisers all know that. The most desperate people—”unemployed,” “even though I’m in between jobs,” “trying to make it; trying to survive,” “broke”—are baited with false promises to give what they do not even have. Jan Crouch addresses viewers as “you little people,” and suggests that they send their grocery money to TBN “to assure God’s blessing.”

That’s not all. Almost no false prophecy, erroneous doctrine, rank superstition, or silly claim is too outlandish to receive airtime on TBN. Jan Crouch tearfully gives a fanciful account of how her pet chicken was miraculously raised from the dead. Benny Hinn trumps that claim with a bizarre prophecy that if TBN viewers will put their dead loved ones’ caskets in front of television set and touch the dead person’s hand to the screen, people will “be raised from the dead . . . by the thousands.”
Ironically, one doesn’t even need to be an orthodox Trinitarian in order to broadcast on the Trinity network. Bishop T. D. Jakes, well known for his rejection of the Nicene creed in favor of oneness Pentecostalism, is a staple on TBN. Benny Hinn has repeatedly attempted to revise the doctrine of the Trinity in novel ways, notoriously teaching at one point that there are nine persons in the godhead.

And yet evangelical church leaders typically show a kind of benign tolerance toward the whole enterprise. Most would never endorse it, of course. They may joke about the gaudiness of the big hair and tawdry set decorations on TBN. Ask them, and they will most likely acknowledge that the prosperity gospel is no gospel at all. Press the issue, and you will probably get them to admit that it is a dangerous form of false doctrine, totally unbiblical, and essentially anti-Christian.

Why, then, is there no large-scale effort among Bible-believing evangelicals to expose, denounce, refute, and silence these false teachers? After all, that is what Scripture commands church leaders to do when we encounter purveyors of soul-destroying substitutes for the true gospel:

2. I think 2010 will be worse because it will be the year when people realize that there is not going to be a easy fix for the economy. In spite of the hype coming from government and Wall Street there really is no was to avoid a full fledged depression or hyperinflation. The year 2010 is likely to be the pivotal year where pundits stop referring to the recession and begin openly talking about a depression.

Our economic problem is rather simple to describe: There is too much debt relative to income and/or wealth. Below is a single graph that depicts the condition of our economy. It shows total debt of the U.S. as a percentage of GDP from 1870 forward

The government has decided that the cure for too much debt is more debt. This solution cannot work, especially when credit is already so overextended. Income and wealth cannot support present debt levels. Credit will adjust back to the mean, regardless of what the government attempts. Whether this is via orderly payment or via default, the reduction in debt is inevitable.

There are only three possibilities with respect to meeting 2010 funding needs:

• The Fed continues its QE beyond their planned cessation in March 2010.

• The Fed raises interest rates to levels that would attract the capital necessary to fund government operations via conventional credit markets.

• No Fed action is taken. That would cause the government to default on some of its obligations.

None of these alternatives is attractive. The unpalatable choices arise from prior Fed and governmental policies. To avoid recessions over the past fifty years, the government abused and then finally exhausted all reasonable options. After years of mismanagement, the government is in a quandary of its own making from which there is no escape.

Other events that may make 2010 worse than 2009.

3. The Middle East is in real danger of a major war this year. There are many things that could spark this war with Iran and Hezbollah being the chief concerns. If a regional war should happen this year I expect it to rapidly turn into a world war against all radical Islam. The wild card is if Iran has a revolution or Hezbollah uses its power to fight against the Lebanese government instead of Israel. These developments could slow Iran’s nuclear ambitions and weaken the Israeli opposition and delay the world war a few years.

4. People are dying all over the world because of  unusual cold and  governments are still planning to tax us to pay for imagined carbon caused global warming. I think this may be the year that people of the world will finally wake up. We may see a backlash against this tax and power grab by globalists. The tar and feathers might appear in the not too distant future.

5. I do believe several successful terrorists events will be carried out in the United States in 2010 and Obama will take the heat.

6. I think there will be unrest and riots in many nations in 2010 and possibly even in the United States

7. It might not be all bad  in 2010. The Far Left controlled house and Senate might get a rude awaking this year when people rebel against the unconstitutional Health Care Bill the unconstitutional reckless bail-outs and many other unconstitutional actions of Federal government? Watch the progress of the tea parties and state rights legislation.

With that title I bet you are wondering what in the world I am talking about. I have come to the conclusion that in about five years most of those who are still living in America will be living without electricity. The whole nation will experience a major prolonged blackout that will last many months, perhaps even years. Many if not most of the people living in the cities in America would not survive the aftermaths of the coming electromagnetic pulse (EMP) hundreds of miles over the United States.  That is my conclusion why America is not in Bible prophecy. That will be America’s judgment. America will be brought to ruin in one month and will no longer be a world power. Some will think Babylon has fallen but America cannot fulfill that prophecy, that is still later on the prophetic timeclock.

I have already written an article and some blogs on the dangers of an EMP attack on America so I will spare you the details here. If you want to know more check the link above and become informed about what will happen after such an attack. I assure you the EMP danger is not a crackpot theory or threat. High profile government appointed scientific committees and spokespersons have clearly reported on this EMP danger. You need to be prepared because obviously no one in government is doing what is necessary to protect the nation from the dangers.  In the article above I say it is likely to occur by 2020. Now I am saying an EMP over America is even more likely to happen within five years or by 2015.

Basically I will just say here, that as a result of a high altitude EMP over America most will not have electric power and most electronic equipment in America would be fried. All infrastructure systems would totally fail and it would take months if not years to get even minimal infrastructure back in place. At least half of the population would die in the cities from the immediate food and water wars and there would then be Mad Max like roaming gangs and martial law.

Unless Iran and North Korea stop their nuclear and missile programs or fall to military conquest in less than five years both nations will have the long range missiles and the nuclear capability to carry out an EMP attack over the United States. N Korea might already may have that capability now here are two reports on that  Report 1, Report 2. You can be assured that Iran and North Korea already know what an EMP would do to the United States and they are now doing everything in their power to achieve such a capability.

The first target of Iran would not be Israel like some think because Iran knows it would first have to diminish the power of the United States before they could survive any attack against Israel. Iran will have the capability to reach the United States with their long range missiles in less than five years.  The mad men of North Korea would launch nuclear missiles at us for almost any perceived provocation if they had them in place. They also will have long range missiles that can reach America’s mainland in less than five years.

If a nation does not care about losing a large portion of their own people from a counter nuclear strike  we cannot assume that we have a deterrence from an attack from them.  Although it might be difficult, they could even attempt a launch with more crude missiles using a couple of ships off shore and if the ships were promptly sunk we might not even know what nation carried out the EMP attack.

What defense do we have against a EMP attack? The truth is that we have almost no defense. We do have our anti-missile missiles, but do not be deceived, they probably will not work against a well planned EMP attack and Obama is already cutting the little defense capabilities that we do have in that area. These anti-missile systems usually work against missiles in staged tests but that is not the same as hitting a surprise launch with a missile that has counter measures to avoid defenses. Even if a missile had no such counter capabilities, which is unlikely, the failure rate would still be quite high for many reasons. For example, no enemy is going to pre-announce their launch so that we get everything on full alert. By the time the missile launch is identified, system glitches ruled out and everyone goes through all the proper communication channels and reaches a sleeping president who makes a best guess decision to launch an anti-missile missile it will probably be too late.  If it were carried out from near offshore there would be no defense at all.

Do not be deceived by these recent claims that you heard in the news that missiles were sent to Hawaii to protect that island from a N. Korean missile threat as if we can actually down any long range missiles launched from N. Korea launched in that direction. Any anti-missile missiles we have in Hawaii cannot hit the long range missiles that N. Korea has. The only long range missiles that we can now down if we are very lucky and very awake are those that come in the direction of Alaska.

I do not know why you do not hear more about the danger of this EMP threat. It should be our highest priority. It is the gravest threat to our nation. Perhaps we do not hear much about it because our government really knows what a grave danger the EMP threat is and it does not want our enemies to know that we know that we are very vulnerable to an EMP.

Frankly, the only thing we can do in the next five years to stop this threat is either get Iran and N. Korea to end their nuclear weapons program or first strike their nuclear and missile capabilities. However, under this administration of appeasement and foreign timidity does anyone really believe that either will happen?

Can you even imagine what would happen in the world if America was neutralized because it had no power or electronics? The world would panic. There would be food riots all over the world. There would be martial law in every nation. The world monetary system would totally collapse. There would be major world wars. It sounds to me like it would rapidly become a biblical tribulation scenario. So those who take Bible prophecy literally might think about a EMP over America about 2015 AD that takes America out of the world picture and that rapidly brings about this tribulation scenario. The coming Antichrist will be the guy out of Europe who seems to have all the right answers for a world in great distress.

With the EMP danger in mind you might soon prepared for a time in the United States when we will have to survive without electricity for months or years. In all likelihood, since nobody seems to take this nuclear EMP seriously, it will happen within five years but it could happen anytime. The EMP might even be a result of a major solar flare on the sun during the next solar max of 2011 – 2014.

It is interesting times in Iran these days. When 1 in 6 of all Iranians take part in the demonstrations in the streets of Tehran in rage against the fraudulent election results you know things are a changing in Iran. The Iranian people are taking to the streets knowing that they will be in danger from the Islamofascists running the nation. Their Islamic taskmasters are even using foreign hired Arab thugs to put fear in the people. You can be sure when city streets are totally filled with people that things are soon likely to change. It seems to me that the Islamofascists are rapidly losing control of Iran and that Iran is now ripe for a cultural revolution. We are probably seeing the start of this taking place right now. Could you even imagine the change in America if 85 percent of people eligible to vote actually voted? Could you imagine if government then decided not to count most of the votes of the conservatives? Would Americans have the guts to march on Washington like the Iranians are doing today? We might be put in that position sometime down the line. Would Americans put their lives on the line to throw off oppression like the people of Iran? Maybe we can learn some lessons from the people of Iran. Guns are not even needed for a Revolution if huge numbers of people of the nation get out on the streets in protest. Troops are not going to kill their own people for long. The troops will soon turn against the outlaw leaders giving them the orders.

The official government line is that Ahmadinejad won the election by a 2 to 1 margin but everyone knows that is a lie. The real election result looks more like the following:

Did you know that 70 percent of the people of Iran are secular and are really atheists? So much for Iran being a Muslim nation. Those in Islam have controlled the Iranian people through threats and intimidation but they do not have the popular support. The majority of the people of Iran have more in common with the West then they do Islam. It also is no coincidence that 70 percent of the people in Iran were born after the Islamic Revolution. These young people do not support the repression coming down from the Mullahs through puppet leaders like Ahmadinejad. They see them as a hindrance to their economic prosperity, freedoms and modernization and they fear that they will lead them into a war and the destruction of their nation.

So let’s for a minute assume that the Islamofascist Iranian government and the Mullahs lose control and an actual democracy soon emerges in Iran. Iran then becomes more moderate. So what will that mean to the West and Israel? It certainly will not be the end of the Iranian nuclear program but they truly might decide to not actually start producing nuclear weapons. It also means that Iran will no longer be calling for the destruction of Israel. In that case, I do not think Israel would strike Iran. That would explain why Iran does not come against Israel with the Arabs in the war of Psalm 83. It also explains why they will be one of the major players with Russia in the Ezekiel Chapter 38 war. Their military capabilities will not have been destroyed and their nuclear weapons development will be postponed until that time.

Be aware that Iranians are not Arabs. The Arabs fear them and they certainly do not want to see Iran with nuclear weapons. A cultural revolution could be the reason why they do not attack Israel until the Ezekiel war. However, if the people lose and the old guard consolidates their controls over Iran you can be sure that a first strike on Iran by Israel is a certainty and that it will happen soon.

Anyway, the events we are seeing now will be a major turning point in Middle East events so pay close attention to the latest events in Iran. The protests are not about Mausavi either the Iranian people did not have anyone but state approved candidates to vote for and Mausavi is part of the problem. What the people want is freedom from their oppressors.

The great majority of the people of Iran are disillusioned and even disgusted by the mediaeval incompetent, oppressive, and corrupt rule of the mullahs, irrespective of which mafia gang is in power. The votes, more than anything else, are protest ballots cast against the entire system, rather than indications of support for the so-called conservative-moderate coalition.

It took less than 4 years for Iranians to realize that boycotting the so-called elections in the Islamic Republic of Iran can only bring to power even a worse bunch of Islamofascists. This time around the people turned out to vote for the lesser of two camps of evil — the mullah dominated gang of conservatives and “moderates.”

It is clear that Mr. Mir Hussein Mousavi won the election by a large margin. Ahmadinejad came out third. But on Friday June 12, 2009, in the Islamic election (selection) something happened. Something beyond what anyone could have ever imagined. Something huge. A daylight coup d’état by the elements of the establishment, particularly, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which the Senate designated as a terrorist organization (with Senator Obama not voting). The clerical leadership in Iran has grown increasingly reliant on the IRGC to help it stave off internal pressure for political and economic reform and external pressure resulting from international concern over Iran’s nuclear program.

An Iranian journalist said, “The important event that took place in Iran is that it wasn’t an election; it was a coup d’état. [They] stole 24 million votes of the nation and took them away for themselves. If there were really a winner, they would have to celebrate, but instead they beat people. They performed a coup, but they don’t call it a coup.”

He continued, “Please don’t use the word “fraud” because it is mitigation of what has happened in Iran. Fraud is what was happening in the past 30 years. This is not fraud. They haven’t [counted] people’s votes. Using the word fraud is like calling a deep cut a small scratch. There was no fraud; it was a coup.”

The political chief of the powerful Revolutionary Guard warned it would crush any “revolution” against the Islamic system by Mousavi’s “green movement” — the signature color of his campaign. However, on Saturday and Sunday, hundreds of thousands of opponents of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad clashed with Hizbollah thugs dressed in police uniforms in the heart of Iran’s capital, pelting them with rocks and setting fires in the worst unrest in Tehran since the 1979 Islamic revolution. They accused the hard-line president of using fraud to steal the election victory from his reformist rival.

The ever-conniving mullahs dread the Iranian people. Granted that a small percentage of Iranians, known as the 3Fs — fools, fanatics and frauds — support the mullahs. No totalitarian rule can ever survive without a segment of the population, for one reason or another, supporting it. Yet, time is not on the side of the mullahs. By their mismanagement, thievery and oppression of the masses, they have created explosive internal conditions. As I have said over and over, the Mullahs need to have the N- bomb to create a fake sense of security so they can prolong their survival.

In short, Iran is in a state of serious upheaval. Replacing Ahmadinejad with the already tried and proven wanton gang of Rafsanjani-Khatami-Mousavi is not going to change matters much.

As for the West, it is prudent that it does not embark on a trigger-happy, self interested policy. The mullahs’ lease on life, [short of brutal massacre of the Iranian people in the absence of any foreign media] is just about over. A concerted political, economic, and moral support for the long-suffering and valiant Iranian people and the secular opposition can put an end to the shameful and hate-driven Islamofascists of any and all stripes.

Pakistan is probably going to become the catalyst for the next world war and it will take place within the next decade. The leadership of Pakistan is corrupt and has little popular support. There is now no political remedy that will prevent Islamic radicals from taking over the nation. Islamic militants are now taking over more and more of the countryside and there will be no stopping them by the Pakistani military because the military is already infiltrated and also obsessed with India.

India today is being attacked by Islamic terrorists supported by Pakistan and is probably only one or two more major terrorist attacks away from taking military action against Pakistan. If India should do that the Pakistan military would move to the Indian border and that would allow the Taliban to take complete control of the countryside of Pakistan. Should that happen the Islamic extremists would then take the revolution to the cities with bombings and killings until the people appeased them by giving them control of the nation.

India will not allow Pakistan to have nukes if Pakistan is controlled by Islamic radicals. If Pakistan fell to the Taliban India would do a first strike to take out Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities. The U.S. might also decide to take out Pakistan’s nukes with special forces in order to prevent a nuclear war between Pakistan and India.

Should that happen the U.S. would have to fight radical Islam from India to Iran alone or withdraw (I doubt if NATO nations would offer to help). The U.S. could not fight such a war because it would require an unpopular military draft and money that America does not have. So more likely the U.S. would be forced to pull out of Afghanistan and then the world will see radical Islam ruling from Pakistan to Iran. When that happens these Islamic radical nations would foster actions against Israel, Iraq, India and moderate Arab states. They would also become a major terrorist threat to the whole world. Inevitably these nations would have to fight and form an alliance against the Islamic radical states and there you have the makings of the next world war.

Europe would not escape because of its large radical Islamic populations. There would be civil war in many nations in Europe and elsewhere and once their internal wars were won they would have to join the allied effort to smash Islamic extremism.

The other possibility where India takes out the Pakistani nukes also leads to the same world war because all radical Muslim states would then join in the fight against India and Israel. When push comes to shove most nations in the world would have no choice but to side with India and Israel and fight against radical Islam.

This is going to happen in the next decade so do not think that all of a sudden America is going to win the war in Afghanistan and then live in a world utopia of peace because the Obama administration is in charge. Like it or not there is going to be nothing less than a major world war against Islamic extremists in the next decade. North Korea will also try to take over South Korea during such a world war. We also should realize that if India or the U.S. strikes Pakistan’s nukes that Israel would also strike Iran’s nuclear facilities and that also would bring a Middle East war.

This is the future of the world for the next decade. Islamic radicals will bring in real global warming.

Pakistan in danger of fracturing into Islamist fiefdoms, U.S. experts say – Politics | Centre Daily

WASHINGTON — A growing number of U.S. intelligence, defense and diplomatic officials have concluded that there’s little hope of preventing nuclear-armed Pakistan from disintegrating into fiefdoms controlled by Islamist warlords and terrorists, posing the a greater threat to the U.S. than Afghanistan’s terrorist haven did before Sept. 11.

“The place is beyond redemption,” said a Pentagon adviser who asked not to be further identified so he could speak freely. “I don’t see any plausible scenario under which the present government or its most likely successor will mobilize the economic, political and security resources to push back this rising tide of violence.

“I think Pakistan is moving toward a situation where the extremists control virtually all of the countryside and the government controls only the urban centers,”

Many U.S. officials, though, regard the civilian government of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari as unpopular, dysfunctional and mired in infighting. It’s been unable to agree on an effective counterinsurgency strategy or to address the ills that are feeding the unrest. These include ethnic and sectarian hatreds, ineffective police, broken courts, widespread corruption, endemic poverty and a deepening financial crisis, they said.

Pakistan’s army, meanwhile, is hobbled by a lack of direction from the country’s civilian leaders, disparaged for its repeated coups and shaken by repeated defeats by the militants. It remains fixated on India to ensure high budgets and cohesion among troops of divergent ethnic and sectarian allegiances, U.S. officials and experts said.

Many officers and politicians also oppose fighting the Islamist groups that Pakistan nurtured to fight proxy wars in Afghanistan and Kashmir, and because they think the U.S. is secretly conspiring with India to destabilize their country.

The U.S. intelligence official, however, said that Pakistan’s elite, dominated since the country’s independence in 1947 by politicians, bureaucrats and military officers from Punjab, have failed to recognize the seriousness of the situation.

“The Punjabi elite has already lost control of Pakistan, but neither they nor the Obama administration realize that,” the official said. “Pakistan will be an Islamist state – or maybe a collection of four Islamic states, probably within a few years. There’s no civilian leadership in Islamabad that can stop this, and so far, there hasn’t been any that’s been willing to try.”

Several U.S. officials said that the Afghanistan-Pakistan strategy that President Barack Obama unveiled last month is being called into question by the accelerating rate at which the insurgency in Pakistan is expanding.

The plan hinges on the Pakistani army’s willingness to put aside its obsession with Hindu-dominated India and focus on fighting the Islamist insurgency. It also presupposes, despite doubts held by some U.S. officials, that sympathetic Pakistani military and intelligence officers will sever their links with militant groups.

This exclusive article about the author’s interview with Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel tells me that Netanyahu is not going to allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. There are other problems with allowing Iran to get nuclear weapons besides the threat of a nuclear strike on Israel. If Iran acquired nukes it would upset the stability in the whole unstable Mid-East. The threat would also bully Israel citizens and some would depart Israel. Having Iran as a nuclear umbrella is certain to embolden all the terrorist groups in the area. Iran would also be a threat to Europe and Arab nations and could supply terrorists with a weapon of mass destruction that they might use anywhere. Another of Israel’s concerns is that eventually a Iranian leader would use the nukes to start a war with Israel and the West to fulfill his own Islamic Mahdi apocalyptic beliefs.

It is obvious that Netanyahu will give Obama a short period of time to use diplomacy. The chances of a peaceful solution are slim, but stranger things have happened in the world. After the Iranian election when Iran finds itself in increasing economic distress due to low oil prices and the leadership of Iran knows that an attack by Israel is imminent they might agree to a last minute agreement to allow some oversight of their nuclear program.

From my understanding of Bible prophecy, I think Iran’s nuclear weapons program will be put on hold or it will be delayed by a military strike on Iran. I do not see them being allowed to develop nuclear weapons at this time. Bible prophecy tells us that Iran will come against Israel with Gog of Russia but Russia is at least a decade away from having the modern military forces necessary to even fulfill that prophecy.

In any case, all this will probably come to a head by fall. Once again things might get very interesting around the time of the Jewish New Year.

Netanyahu to Obama: Stop Iran—Or I Will – The Atlantic (March 31, 2009)

In an interview conducted shortly before he was sworn in today as prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu laid down a challenge for Barack Obama. The American president, he said, must stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons—and quickly—or an imperiled Israel may be forced to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities itself.

“The Obama presidency has two great missions: fixing the economy, and preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu told me. He said the Iranian nuclear challenge represents a “hinge of history” and added that “Western civilization” will have failed if Iran is allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

In unusually blunt language, Netanyahu said of the Iranian leadership, “You don’t want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs. When the wide-eyed believer gets hold of the reins of power and the weapons of mass death, then the entire world should start worrying, and that is what is happening in Iran.”

Neither Netanyahu nor his principal military advisers would suggest a deadline for American progress on the Iran nuclear program, though one aide said pointedly that Israeli time lines are now drawn in months, “not years.” These same military advisers told me that they believe Iran’s defenses remain penetrable, and that Israel would not necessarily need American approval to launch an attack. “The problem is not military capability, the problem is whether you have the stomach, the political will, to take action,” one of his advisers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told me.

Both Israeli and American intelligence officials agree that Iran is moving forward in developing a nuclear-weapons capability. The chief of Israeli military intelligence, Major General Amos Yadlin, said earlier this month that Iran has already “crossed the technological threshold,” and that nuclear military capability could soon be a fact: “Iran is continuing to amass hundreds of kilograms of low-enriched uranium, and it hopes to exploit the dialogue with the West and Washington to advance toward the production of an atomic bomb.”

In our conversation, Netanyahu gave his fullest public explication yet of why he believes President Obama must consider Iran’s nuclear ambitions to be his preeminent overseas challenge. “Why is this a hinge of history? Several bad results would emanate from this single development. First, Iran’s militant proxies would be able to fire rockets and engage in other terror activities while enjoying a nuclear umbrella. This raises the stakes of any confrontation that they’d force on Israel. Instead of being a local event, however painful, it becomes a global one. Second, this development would embolden Islamic militants far and wide, on many continents, who would believe that this is a providential sign, that this fanaticism is on the ultimate road to triumph.

“Third, they would be able to pose a real and credible threat to the supply of oil, to the overwhelming part of the world’s oil supply. Fourth, they may threaten to use these weapons or to give them to terrorist proxies of their own, or fabricate terror proxies. Finally, you’d create a great sea change in the balance of power in our area—nearly all the Arab regimes are dead-set opposed to Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons. They fervently hope, even if they don’t say it, that the U.S. will act to prevent this, that it will use its political, economic, and, if necessary, military power to prevent this from happening.”

If Iran acquires nuclear weapons, Netanyahu asserted, Washington’s Arab allies would drift into Iran’s orbit.

Few in Netanyahu’s inner circle believe that Iran has any short-term plans to drop a nuclear weapon on Tel Aviv, should it find a means to deliver it. The first-stage Iranian goal, in the understanding of Netanyahu and his advisers, is to frighten Israel’s most talented citizens into leaving their country. “The idea is to keep attacking the Israelis on a daily basis, to weaken the willingness of the Jewish people to hold on to their homeland,” Moshe Ya’alon said. “The idea is to make a place that is supposed to be a safe haven for Jews unattractive for them. They are waging a war of attrition.”

Today things are again heating up in the Middle East because Israel is now taking action against Hamas terrorists in Gaza that have been firing rockets into Israel.  This action by Israel may not lead to a wider war but who really knows?

With that in mind perhaps it is time to look at this very interesting prospective of the deadly game being played out in the Middle East between the Jews, Iran, Islam and the West.

The following summery in that article raises a likely question. Will the West believe they can force Israel to give in to all demands when Israel already knows that Iran and Islam cannot be appeased? Pressuring Israel into a suicidal situation will only make Israel go it alone in self defense.

Considering the views of those now leading the West, I would say that the West offering up Israel on the altar of Baal for some hope of world peace is increasingly likely. What the leaders of the West do not understand is that Israel will not be the sacrificial lamb for world peace. Israel already gave birth to a sacrificial Lamb two thousand years ago and unless the world accepts His sacrifice there is no hope for world peace. Those that try to destroy His inheritance will certainly end up destroying themselves.

Eradicating the “Little Satan”

The Iranians and their allies throughout the Muslim world are bent on making the abandonment of Israel the price of “peace in our time.” In a scenario that should ring frighteningly familiar, a charismatic leader of an ideological, totalitarian state is building upon an endemic anti-Semitism inculcated by centuries of religious indoctrination to create an atmosphere in which the massacre of large numbers of Jews and the destruction of their independent polity will be considered a tolerable if not indeed a legitimate eventuality.

That is ominous enough. Even more ominous is the apparent willingness of any number of leaders of the Western world, under the banner of a hoped-for “reconciliation” with a major Middle Eastern power and a world religion, to tilt dangerously toward appeasement, ignoring the requirements of rational decision-making and putting at risk the West’s own abiding interests and deepest values.

As for Israel, if it takes today’s challenges seriously and prepares to meet them with the requisite strength and creativity, this may yet turn out to be its finest hour. If not, we may be witnessing the prelude to its last.

It certainly looks to me like Benjamin Netanyahu will be the next Prime Minister of Israel and he certainly is not going to be dictated to by a President who sides with terrorists through Hillary.

Sure, Obama intends to offer Israel a nuclear umbrella and thus allow a nuclear Iran but why would Israel actually think that we would use nukes against Iran after Israel was already destroyed? What good would our nuclear umbrella be for dead people? I guess Obama’s whiz kids think that the threat would be enough of a deterrent to stop Iran from ever using their nukes but that is because they do not understand that the leaders of Iran actually want to bring about a war between the West and Islam. They intend to make Israel the scrape goat that they will slaughter to bring the end time war where their Mahdi comes back to help them take the world for Allah.

Netenyahu is not blinded by liberal pragmatic thinking where compromise solves the issue because people on both sides are basically good and really want to do what is right. He knows that Iran is led by evil mad men who must not get a nuclear weapon. So yeah, they are going to butt heads and Israel will strike Iran alone to prevent Iran from getting the bomb and the U.S. will play the “we condemn Israel” dumb fool on the world stage and thus brings about the war of Psalm 83. When the Arab nations think that we will not intervene.

With the election of Barack Obama, the United States has moved dramatically to the left in its foreign policy at just the time that Israel, which seems likely to return Bibi Netanyahu to office in early February, is moving to the right. A collision is almost inevitable.

Caroline Glick, the highly astute conservative columnist for the Jerusalem Post, writes that the “international community” believes that Obama “will move quickly to place massive pressure on the next Israeli government to withdraw from Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights in the interests of advancing a ‘peace process’ with the Palestinians and the Syrians.” She notes that “people who have been in close contact with Obama’s foreign policy transition team have privately acknowledged that the widespread belief that Obama will move swiftly to put the screws on Israel is fully justified. According to one source who has spent a great deal of time with the transition team since last month’s U.S. elections, Obama’s people are ‘scope-locked’ on Israel.”

Meanwhile, in Israel, there is a growing consensus, reflected in public opinion surveys, that trading land for peace is a chimera. Netanyahu points out that “we do not have a viable partner with whom to negotiate peace.

While Iran moves closer and closer to a bomb that could and will be used against Israel, Obama speaks of extending the American “nuclear umbrella” to cover Israel.

Reading between the lines, this means that he doesn’t think he can stop Iranian nuclear ambitions and will retreat to a policy of deterrence, accepting a nuclear Iran in the bargain.

If Netanyahu wins the election, he will bring with him a determination to stop Iranian nuclear weapons, no matter what, and a refusal to concede more territory in the name of the peace process. But Obama’s foreign policy team will be focusing on pushing Israel in just the opposite direction.

The result is likely to be the most significant divergence between Israeli and American policies since 1956

But Israel probably has the military capacity to bomb Iran and to win the Middle East war against Syria, Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah that is likely to result. Unlike Olmert, Netanyahu will use ground troops right off the bat and will fight such a war to win and to win big. But they may have to do it without their strongest ally: the United States.

This article probably has plenty of Bible prophecy significance. Iraq is trying to set up a group of nations like the EU in the Middle East. Many who study Bible prophecy have been saying that Iraq will rise again as a great world center of prosperity in the last days and fulfill the prophecies of Babylon and Babylon the Great. This most likely is the first major step in building the foundation for that entity.

Also notice that other regions on earth are doing the same thing as this EU pilot project prototype. All generally are following the Club of Rome’s plan for ten regional governments under a central world government. When we get the heads of the ten regional governments giving allegiance to one man we will have the ten horns of Daniel and Revelation and the prophetic Beast world system. So far I know of the EU, the African Union, the Union of South American Nations, Central America just announced a Union, there are plans for a North American Union, Putin wants a new Russian alliance of states, Southeast Asia will have a Union, there is talk of a Mediterranean Union and I believe a Union in South Africa and now the Middle East Union. There certainly are a few others in the works that I missed but also remember than in the end there will only be 7 kings and the little horn who is the eight is the Antichrist and Beast world Kingdom. Three unions will be pulled out by the roots. Three will be absorbed by the seven regional governments that remain.

But don’t pack your bags just yet, this will take time. This Middle East Union is just in the planning stages right now. For there to be any union in the Middle East there first will have to peace. Also, the Arabs are not going to allow themselves to be dominated by Iran. Iranians are Aryans they will go with Russia. Can anyone see peace in the Middle East today before a great war? That is impossible with 50,000 missiles pointed at Israel and terrorism everywhere. Before this Middle East Union can even be set up terrorism and radical Islam will first have to be defeated. So now you know the grand plan for the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other areas. It will expand into a great world war where all the Islamic radicals on earth will be crushed and more moderate religions of pluralistic tolerance will only be allowed. Holy books in all religions will be re-translated and sanitized to be politically correct.

That war will probably also include the war of Psalm 83 that will bring the defeat of all the terrorist groups that dwell around Israel and it radically change the governance of Arab nations and even the boundaries of many Arab states. But most of Iraq will not be among the radicals in this war and after the defeat of the radicals I can very well see Israel, Iraq and Egypt forming an alliance and administrating the entire Middle East. Then Israel can have the peace and security mentioned in Bible prophecy and great prosperity can come to the whole Middle East area when oil pipelines are built through Israel to the Mediterranean sea. Great solar farms for electric will be built for the pumping of underground water and desalination that will allow huge crop farms to be grown in the deserts.

That will last until Gog with Russia and Iran and other allies come down against Israel in the Last days but they are defeated by God. Not long after that Babylon the great (Iraq) will be the seat of world power under the Antichrist who will in the end lead many nations to their destruction when they come against the King of Kings in Israel.

Iraq has unveiled plans for the creation of a regional economic and security union for the Middle East explicitly modelled on the European Union.

Informal discussions on “Regional Economic Partnership” have reportedly been launched with Kuwait, Syria and Turkey, though not yet Iran. The aim would also to be to bring on board Jordan and Saudi Arabia and – in a subsequent phase – the Gulf states of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, but not Israel.

“The new Iraq could convert the region into the EU model,” the UK’s Daily Telegraph quotes the Iraqi official as saying at the meeting. “Iraq is going to play a major stabilising factor,” he added.

Iraq sees a “necessity for regional security and economic co-operation,” Mr al-Dabbagh said.

Michael Evans suggests that the only reason for the lame duck prime minister of Israel and the lame duck president of the U.S. to be meeting at this time it to prepare for an attack on Iran prior to the inauguration of President elect Barak Obama. There always is a chance that there could be something to that speculation although I think Obama would have to be briefed and approve of it or Israel will have even greater problems with the Obama administration.

There is a small chance Obama advisors could tell him to approve this to give him some breathing room before he really has to deal with a nuclear Iran. He would still have to deal with it because any Israel strike would be limited and would only delay the Iran nuclear program one to five years depending on the amount of damage.

I am not at all certain that Evans is reading this right. The meeting could be just to make sure there will not be a strike on Iran by Israel during this transition period and on discussion points on how the next administrations should go forward.

Any attack on Iran would certainly open a new can of worms that would take all the time of the next administrations while they are in the middle of a financial crises. Hezbollah and their 42,000 rockets would have to be dealt with and I do not think Israel or the U.S. are ready to deal with the consequences that would bring at this time.

While it is true that Obama and his administration will attempt to handcuff Israel after Obama takes office. If Benjamin Netanyahu is elected as prime minister of Israel he is not going to be anyone’s patsy. Israel will do what Israel thinks it needs to do. Now that Iran has enough enriched uranium for one bomb (should then go forward to build one) and is likely to be able to produce enough material for two to three more bombs within a year the window on Iran is indeed short. Certainly Iran will have to agree to international inspections of their facilities to make sure they are not building bombs or they will be hit within two years. The real question is how much more development and know how will Israel allow Iran to obtain before it acts. Facilities can be destroyed but once they have acquired the know how, the nuclear weapons program can be rebuilt rapidly.

When considering just the nuclear program alone the earlier Iran is hit the better but when dealing with political realities of the Middle East a war that occurs between the transfer of administrations is a whole other matter. If a war were to break out the Israel elections would not even take place on schedule.

There is also the issue of world oil prices and the consequences to the world economy that is in crises. Any strike on Iran would raise oil prices dramatically. That might end some of the deflation in the world in the short term but it will make things even worse in the long term.

Therefore, It is my opinion that Israel will not strike Iran prior to the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. If someone could show a creditable movement to increase U.S air strength in the gulf it might be more believable. I also do not believe that Israeli use of low yield nuclear weapons to stop nuclear weapon development by Iran is at all likely. The international consequences would be totally unacceptable.

We will not have long to find out if Evens is right or wrong since all we have left is a five week window.

Why would a prime minister who has resigned and is leaving office in eight weeks meet with a lame-duck president who is also leaving office in eight weeks?

Ehud Olmert resigned as prime minister on Sept. 21, 2008. He currently fills the seat until general elections take place on Feb. 10, 2009. There is no reason for a lame-duck president and an equally lame-duck prime minister to meet except to pursue the above-stated purpose.

Time magazine quoted an “unnamed Israeli source at the Defense Ministry” as having said, “We have been warned off.” It has been hinted in the past by IDF officials that Israel may launch a pre-emptive strike on nuclear facilities in Iran prior to the Jan. 20, 2009 inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. No Israel Defense Forces general would ever say that unless it were officially approved. Why did he say it? So when Israel attacks, the U.S. will not be blamed.

Because of the fact that Iran has just announced that enough centrifuges are online to build an atomic bomb, Israel feels that the emergency is now. Former Israel Chief of Staff Moshe Ya’alon, who endorsed my book “Showdown with Nuclear Iran,” calling it the “most extensive book on the subject,” has told me that under no circumstance would Israel hold back once Iran has enough centrifuges to build the bomb. Israel knows Obama will not allow them to attack once he takes office. The only way they can attack is to do so before the inauguration, while they have the support of George Bush.

Condoleezza Rice also met with Olmert. The secular media has reported that these were social visits only. I assure you that vice presidents and secretaries of state did not have private meetings for social purposes only.

Ehud Olmert met Secretary of State Rice for breakfast at Blair House and also held private, strategic meetings with Dick Cheney. The prime minister came seeking permission from George Bush to attack Iran’s nuclear reactors during the next six weeks prior to President-elect Obama’s inauguration, and most likely in December.

In retaliation for a military strike on Iran, Hezbollah would undoubtedly launch rocket attacks on Israel from Lebanon. Hamas would probably launch rocket attacks from the Gaza. We might even see a resumption of the suicide bombers penetrating Israel’s cities.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak has stated that Hezbollah tripled its arms strength following the 2006 war in Lebanon. According to Barak, the Iranian proxy now has some 42,000 rockets, some with the capability of striking Ashkelon, Yerucham and Dimona (Israel’s nuclear sites.)

Even if the United States did not directly participate in an Israeli air strike on Iran, we would have to allow Israeli jets airspace rights over Iraq. This would be enough to argue that America was “complicit” in an Israeli air attack on Iran. The U.S. might also have to refuel Israeli jets involved in an air strike on Iran. The newest fighters in Israel’s attack force are the Lockheed-Martin manufactured F-16I Soufa (“Storm”) fighters. The second mainstay of the IAF is the 1990s Boeing-built (originally McDonnell Douglas) F-15I Ra’am (“Eagle”) fighter planes. Both aircraft have a strike radius that should extend to targets in Iran without having to be refueled.

A showdown with a nuclear Iran is imminent. Though we might all wish for the crisis to pass, I fear the moment is at hand where the reality of a nuclear-armed Iran is inevitably upon us all. I pray that we get through the coming test with distinction. I pray that the crisis passes, and that Israel continues to thrive and the United States of America continues to be strong.

Read the part that I highlighted below. Joe Biden said that Obama will need the help of community leaders to control the population as unpopular decisions are made and AMERICANS RESIST. This will occur within six months of him taking office. In other words they are saying they expect something to happen that will make Americans resist the Government. I cannot think of what that would be other than Martial law and taking away people’s guns. It has been the plan of Government to use Clergy and other community leaders to get people to voluntarily hand in their guns after Martial law is declared. So it seems to me that this is what Joe Biden is talking about. Wouldn’t that be a hoot, if within 6 months they use some real or false flag event to make Obama dictator?

Something is very strange in Denmark here because all these people that are out of the homeland security loop could not possibly know what terrorists are planning to do within 6 months of Obama taking office. So what is it that all these people who will have a role in the Obama administration and some foreign leaders been told?  I can see Joe Biden making off the cuff bazaar statements like this but when all the people listed below indicate the same thing this seems to be well coordinated. Throw in the Americans resisting the unpopular changes and decision made by Obama?? and we all truly have reason for alarm.

This has not been put out as some glib statement these people are serious. Perhaps they know there will be a war with Iran and it will set off sleeper cells here, who knows? You wanted change under Obama it looks like you will get change sooner than anyone expected.

Over the last 72 hours there has been a strange melange of cryptic messages leaked from world political leaders about what could be in store for America over the next few months.

These predictions of impending doom come from England, France, Australia and the United States. In each case there has been a press releases or news expose’ predicting huge and building threats emerging from faceless enemies in shadowy places

Biden told the top Democratic donors that a “generated crisis” will develop within six months and Barak Obama will need the help of community leaders to control the population as unpopular decisions are made and Americans resist.

Biden’s ominous language at the Seattle Sheraton are followed with statements by long time establishment insiders Colin Powell and Madeline Albright both say there is a massive crisis on the horizon and Biden was simply making a “statement in fact.”

Meanwhile in England were they are trying desperately to pass a draconian measure allowing for the 42 day imprisonment of any citizen without charges or access to bail.

Lord West, adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown on national security says, “There is another great plot building up again and we are monitoring. It dipped slightly and is now rising again within the context of severe. The threat is huge. We have done all the things that we need to do, but the threat is building – the complex plots are building,”

Only a few hours ago Agence France-Presse published a press release about the Sydney meeting of the international Commission on Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament presided over by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd who said that the world is facing a threat that will dwarf the September 11 attacks.

“The devastation that could be wreaked by one major nuclear weapons incident alone puts 9/11 and almost everything else [in] to the category of the insignificant,” Rudd said.

Why are there so many high level politicians around the world in a seemingly coordinated effort warning of huge threats and developing crisis’ that may include a nuclear device? Are they preparing the masses for an event or series of events that have been in the making for some time? Is the public being prepared for new and forming enemies with a potential to plunge the entire world into war?

On the domestic front the author of this article should also have mentioned the amnesty no win program, terrorism, a run on the dollar, hyper inflation, high unemployment, riots, energy shortages, rationing, a draft, perhaps an EMP attack, thought police and maybe a police state. On the foreign threat he missed North Korea, Venezuela, and probably the next world war. Combine what Gerard Baker suggested in this article and what I just added, throw in a few unknown ingredients, turn the world upside down and let it simmer for a couple of years and what will come out of America’s melting pot?

It is highly probable that that moment, the very hour that he takes office, will be the high point of his presidency. Whoever wins on November 4 will be ascending to the job at one of the most difficult times for an American chief executive in at least half a century.

At some point reality will bite hard and politicians will discover that they simply cannot go on funding two wars, cutting taxes, creating vast new government health and pension programmes and doing the other essential things that the Federal Government does

The US is now indisputably entering the darkest phase of a period that will not only produce real hardship, but could send further shocks through financial markets and cause deeper fiscal damage.

Then there is energy policy. Weaning America off its oil addiction might actually need to be a policy rather than a slogan in the next four years; but that will place new burdens on the budget and require sacrifices difficult to make in good times, let alone in economically distressed ones.

Compared with all this, foreign policy looks like a doddle.

The next president has only to complete the process of transition in Iraq, win the war in Afghanistan, face down a resurgent Russia, continue to keep its foot on the throat of stateless Islamist terrorism, stop Iran from going nuclear and figure out what to do about the challenge from China – the most serious threat to US global hegemony since America became top nation.

Oh, and I didn’t mention Pakistan. Conversations this week with advisers to both campaigns suggest that both now see Pakistan – especially after last week’s terrorist attack in Islamabad – as perhaps the most intractable and serious challenge of all in the next few years: they candidly admit that no one has much of a clue what to do about it.
