Does the war of Psalms 83 come before the war of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39?

No Gravatar

I have not read the book “Isralestine”, by Bill Salus but it sounds like an intriguing prophetic explanation of end time events. Almost all futurist Bible prophecy students will agree that there are three end time wars involving Israel. However, we disagree somewhat on the timing of first two wars. Those wars being the Ezekiel Chapter 38 and 39 war where Gog comes down with a host of nations and the Psalms 83 war where a confederacy of nations attempts to cut Israel off from being a nation. In the mix somewhere is the destruction of Damascus since the prophecy has never been fulfilled yet.

I have heard enough about this book to know that Bill Salus makes a strong case for the war of Psalms 83 coming first. I believe the premise is that after the aftermath of the Psalms 83 war that brings the destruction of Damascus, Israel will expand its borders. That will allow Israel to have the security that is implied by Ezekiel at the time of the Gog invasion. At that time Russia will come down with a host of nations against Israel and God will intervene.

In the past, I have tended to put the Ezekiel war first and I placed the Psalm 83 war in the middle of the tribulation making that the reason why the Jews flee to the mountains. However, Bill Salus may be correct, it does answer a whole lot of questions.

If you have read this book I would appreciate your own insights.

Israel destroys Damascus, then Russia invades

Indeed Russia and Iran are ready to make their moves, but what about Syria? Oddly Syria, who today panders alongside Iran for Russian affections, is not included among the elite nine members of the Ezekiel 38 and 39 consortium of attacking nations. Why not? What knocks their quiver of missiles out of the Ezekiel military equation?

As I have documented in my recently released book, “Isralestine, The Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle East,” the Bible makes quite clear that in a distinctly separate Psalm 83 episode Damascus, the capital of Syria, soon ceases to be a city, and subsequently shortly thereafter Russia and Iran advance against Israel.

Furthermore “Isralestine” explains how the destruction of Damascus followed by the Ezekiel invasion sets the stage for the final tribulation period, whereby the Antichrist rallies his Armageddonites together in one last days ditch effort to destroy the Jewish race.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin

Thus there are three scheduled end time advances against Israel, not just Ezekiel’s. First comes Psalm 83, the Arab-Israeli war, followed promptly by the Ezekiel 38 and 39 Russian – Iranian invasion, and lastly the campaign of Armageddon by the Antichrist.

The destruction of Damascus will be such a powerful world event that Isaiah was instructed to boldly and succinctly state, the burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.” (Isaiah 17:1, NKJV) Isaiah further announces that the fortified cities of Syria will be forfeited into Israeli sovereignty. (Isaiah 17:9) This suggests that the dooming of Damascus and conquest of Syria results from of an Israeli Defense Forces campaign.

Amos and Jeremiah echo this 2,800-year-old Isaiah prophecy by prophetically uttering some additional details they were given. Amos declares that the capitol building of Syria will go up in smoke, and that the nation as a whole, will go into captivity. (Amos 1:3-5) Jeremiah concurs and furthermore declares the Syrian military will be decisively defeated, and in addition many young men will die in the blood-stained streets of Damascus. (Jeremiah 49:23-27)

Gog will be a nuclear guard for Iran

No Gravatar

I believe Hal Lindsey will be correct that Russia will now actively seek to regain its former empire. It might not be all the same nations of the former USSR at least at first. But Russia will intimidate the nations of Eastern Europe to join a regional alignment of states to counter the West. Especially if the West is mired in the economic and Islamic caused turmoil that looks almost certain to come. These Eastern nations were not in the original Roman Empire and they will not be in the revived.

My advice to the U.S. and Israel is not to wait too long to take out Iran’s nuclear capabilities because within a very short time Iran will be protected under a Russian nuclear umbrella (thou hast been to them for a guard., Ez 38:7, YLT) and then we will not be able to take them out without a nuclear war with Russia. The cold war between East and West is coming back fast. If NATO can claim that an attack on any of their alliance of states is an attack on them all, then Russia feels it can and will do the same with the nations in their sphere of influence.

Right now the U.S. can delay a nuclear Iran by 10 to 20 years by almost complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear and missile facilities. Israel cannot do this alone. The most Israel can do is set them back is a few years and there will not be any second chance because of the Russian umbrella that is about to open. If we get a weak president like Obama you will see Russia open this nuclear umbrella near the start of his term. If McCain gets elected they might not risk it just yet.

Oh, my Gog! (Hal Lindsey)

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, most of these republics broke with Russia to form new alliances with NATO and the West – an event for which I was widely ridiculed at the time.

How could most of Magog, like Ukraine, Georgia and Turkey, all firmly allied with the West, also be part of Russia’s Gog alliance?

I didn’t know. But I didn’t pen Ezekiel’s prophecy. I only reported it.

Now, Gog has evidently decided to reclaim its former Soviet empire, starting with Magog. Despite weeks of promising to withdraw almost any minute, the Russian military continues to dig in and consolidate its forces in and near the Georgian port of Poti on the Black Sea.

The Russians introduced tight restrictions of movement on Georgian citizens, refusing to accept anything except Russian documents. Despite agreements to the contrary, the Kremlin now says that “Russian forces will leave in their own time.”

When Poland was contemplating an agreement that would allow the U.S. to deploy missile interceptor batteries in its territory, Russia warned them that by entering the treaty agreement they ran the risk of a Russian nuclear attack. When the Poles signed the treaty in defiance of the Kremlin, Russia promised its response would “rise above the level of diplomacy,” a reference to the principle that “war is the result of failed diplomacy.”

The Russian invasion and apparent occupation of Georgia is feared by many analysts, particularly those from former Soviet republics, that Vladimir Putin plans to re-conquer and restore the former empire.

Four aircraft carrier groups in the gulf area could mean a strike on Iran is imminent

No Gravatar

This report by Kuwait Times that two additional aircraft carrier groups are heading toward the gulf could be very important because the U.S. would insist on having four aircraft carrier groups in that area before it would give Israel any green light to strike Iran. The same is true if the U.S. decided to strike Iran itself.

If this report is true figure that it will take about a month to get all the ships in place and ready for action. So nothing will happen before early September but like I said before an attack in late September to early October makes more political sense than after the election if it looks like Obama might win. It should be very interesting that two additional carrier groups have been reported to be heading that way to fit the timing of a pre U.S. election strike.

When you actually see four carrier groups in the Gulf and Red Sea, it could mean a strike on Iran is imminent. The U.S. would not allow Israel to strike Iran without first having adequate air power in place.

‘2 US aircraft carriers headed for Gulf’ | Jerusalem Post

Two additional United States naval aircraft carriers are heading to the Gulf and the Red Sea, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Kuwait Times.

Kuwait began finalizing its “emergency war plan” on being told the vessels were bound for the region.

The US Navy would neither confirm nor deny that carriers were en route. US Fifth Fleet Combined Maritime Command located in Bahrain said it could not comment due to what a spokesman termed “force-protection policy.”

While the Kuwaiti daily did not name the ships it believed were heading for the Middle East, The Media Line’s defense analyst said they could be the USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Ronald Reagan.

Will Israel attack Iran in early to mid October?

No Gravatar

This is an interesting and somewhat different perspective on when Israel might attack Iran. The theory is that if the hardliner Mofaz wins in the Kadima Party in mid to late September he might reach across to the Likud party and bring in hardliner Benjamin Netenyahu as prime minister. Then the theory goes that it would be best for Israel to attack Iran before the U.S. election in November so as to not to antagonize a President-elect Obama (they all think he is going to win if there is no war) with a strike between the time he wins the election and takes office in January.

I would not think that Israel would want to strike Iran right before our election so a reasonable date would be around October 1-15 which just happens to be the Jewish fall holiday season this year. We will see what happens? My own opinion is that I think this theory makes more sense than the conventional wisdom that says Israel will attack Iran between the U.S. election and Obama taking office (if he should win).

FrontPage Magazine

THE most important primary for our 2008 election may be yet to come - the Kadima Party primary in Israel in mid or late September. It pits liberal-leaning Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni against hardliner and former Army Chief of Staff Shaul Mofaz. (Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is expected to sit out the contest and concentrate on staying out of jail.)

The polls are neck and neck; in the most recent, Livni’s once-formidable lead has shrunk to 2 points. Hanging over the battle is the Iranian nuclear program.

Mofaz might not want to wait for our election. Why risk antagonizing a President-elect Obama by taking military action that he might vigorously oppose? If Obama, having won, were to counsel patience, what Israeli prime minister could ignore him?

Before the US election, on the other hand, Obama might be reluctant to take a position - and the Israelis need feel no compulsion to conform to any advice from a man who isn’t yet be president-elect.

Surely, an Israeli attack on Iran would bring a sharp and instant response from Iran and from its satellites, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as its pawns in Iraq. It would presage war in Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank along with an air war of Israeli missiles and bombers against Iranian missiles.

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and the Gulf states would criticize Israel in public but probably breathe a sign of relief in private that Iran’s nuclear ambitions were thwarted or at least postponed.

The ensuing crisis would probably militate in McCain’s favor if it erupted before the US election.

Does the European Union fulfill the revised Roman Empire and Daniel chapter nine or the Mediterranean Union?

No Gravatar

This is a very interesting prophetic development. We have been looking for the EU to fulfill the revived Roman Empire and the covenant of Daniel chapter nine but it turns out that it will actually be fulfilled by the Mediterranean Union (MU).

The EU has nations that were not in the original Roman Empire but the MU includes the right nations. It is looking like the exact same lands that were in the original Roman Empire will also be in the revived Roman Empire. Ireland was never in the Roman Empire and it is interesting that the voters of Ireland just turned down the treaty that would have federalized the EU. So it looks like Ireland will stay out.

It is also interesting that nations east of Germany were never in the Roman Empire. Perhaps they will start their own union or unite again in a union with Russia. I would bet on them uniting with Russia since Russia has the energy resources that they require.

Israel will be part of the Mediterranean Union so that sets the stage for the leader of the MU confirming the covenant with many for one week (7 years) spoken of by Daniel chapter nine.

The peaces are now rapidly coming together for fulfillment for that last week of years. We have the right alignment of nations and a likely peace agreement with all the old Roman Empire nations guaranteeing Israel’s right to exist. Now it is just a matter of God’s timing.

It also looks to me like the putting together of a federalized EU with the present members will fail and it will be replaced with the membership of the MU.

Bible Prophecy Today | Bible Prophecy News and Commentary by Todays Leading Bible Prophecy Scholars | News and Commentary from a Biblical Perspective

leaders from 43 countries comprising 756 million people met officially to form the “Mediterranean Union,” to fight terrorism, end WMD proliferation, enhance regional security, and promote free trade, economic development, and tourism.

The brainchild of French President Nicolas Sarkzozy, the M.U. is certainly not a formal military or economic alliance by any stretch. Not yet, at least. But significantly, it does include all the nations of the European Union, Israel and all the countries of North Africa. The sole exception is Libya, whose leader, Muammar Gadaffi, denounced the organization as the rise of a “another Roman Empire.” Gadaffi is right. That’s precisely what we’re seeing

They see a unified Europe setting the model for a unified planet. A one world system, run by Europe. And the first step, in the eyes of the “Eurocrats” is to expand their territory southward. “The European and the Mediterranean dreams are inseparable,” Sarkozy said at the opening festivities. “We will succeed together; we will fail together….We will build peace in the Mediterranean together, like yesterday we built peace in Europe…not north against south, not Europe against the rest, but united….We dreamed about a Union for the Mediterranean, and now it is a reality.”

Expect an attack on Iran before the end of the year.

No Gravatar

I guess anyone who actually thinks that Iran is not trying to develop nukes still believes in the tooth fairy. It now appears that Iran is about 6 months away from crossing a red line that they will not be allowed to cross. So unless Iran suddenly wakes up and stops their nuclear program expect a strike on Iran before the end of the year. This article by Chuck Missler will give additional background information and it has links where you can be kept up to date.

New Evidence of Iran Nuclear Threat - CWN

The IAEA has been denied access to various sensitive locations related to the manufacturing of centrifuges, as well as sites for research and development on uranium enrichment. The IAEA has also confronted Iran with documents it found detailing some of Iran’s research activities. The documents have raised red flags concerning the possible military dimensions of Iran’s nuclear program. The IAEA report states:

“One aspect of the alleged studies refers to the conversion of uranium dioxide to UF4, also known as green salt. A second aspect concerns the development and testing of high voltage detonator firing equipment and exploding bridgewire (EBW) detonators including, inter alia, the simultaneous firing of multiple EBW detonators; an underground testing arrangement; and the testing of at least one full scale hemispherical, converging, explosively driven shock system that could be applicable to an implosion-type nuclear device. A third aspect of the studies concerns development work alleged to have been performed to redesign the inner cone of the Shahab-3 missile re-entry vehicle to accommodate a nuclear warhead.”

One well known way to bring God’s judgment on Israel

No Gravatar

You would think that the Jews would learn but God calls them a stubborn people for a reason. God cast out the Jews for such practices before and now they are at it again. God does not change. Seems that there are a lot of people in the world who want to test God. I do not think that this is very wise and I will be proved right.

Homosexuals march on Jerusalem (OneNewsNow.com)

Christian Zionist Jim Hutchens says the recent homosexual pride parade in Jerusalem merely contributed to the moral climate that will bring about the besieging of Jerusalem foretold by prophets of the Bible.

Homosexuals and their supporters marched through the Holy City Thursday in direct defiance of the Hebraic scriptures as Orthodox Jews held a counter protest nearby. The so-called “gay pride” parade was allowed to proceed after Israel’s Supreme Court rejected a petition to ban the event.

Hutchens, president of The Jerusalem Connection International (TJCI), says the Bible warns of a worldwide moral decline that affects the Holy Land as well. “There is a judgment that God brings worldwide and on Israel, as a matter of fact. And I think those are the events that lead up to what we refer to as Armageddon, the apocalyptic besieging of Jerusalem,” Hutchens contends.

Will Israel hit Iran’s reactor before it goes on line this September?

No Gravatar

Hal Lindsey expects a Middle East War against Israel this September. I certainly would not rule that out. Peace talks have a way of falling apart because the terrorists do not want peace and they sabotage any deal. Hal thinks Israel will hit Iran before they fire up their reactor. I would think that if they are going to hit the reactor they will do it before nuclear material is in the reactor. That would make a September date kind of late if they want to prevent nuclear fall out on civilians. So I do not think Israel will do anything about their reactor going online. Of course once a war starts for some other reason anything can happen. Israel will also not do anything without informing the U.S. and we are not going to allow a war to start without having at least 3 carrier groups in the area. So when you see ship movements to that end a strike against Iran is much more likely. I think a war is likely soon but I am not sure the timing is known to anyone right now.

The September War

It is worth remembering that it was the Persians who invented chess, and Ahmadinejad seems to be controlling all the pieces. In the first place, Ahmadinejad knows that Israel will attack its reactor the moment that they take it on line. He’s been arming and training Hamas to serve as its proxy in the event of war, to harass the IDF on its flanks. To the north in Lebanon, Ahmadinejad has succeeded in rearming and re-equipping Hezbollah since the Lebanon War in 2006. The Mossad estimates Hezbollah is stronger now than it was before Israel invaded. Hezbollah has succeeded, for all intents and purposes, in taking over the Lebanese government.

Hamas controls all of the Gaza Strip. Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian Authority barely has a handle on the West Bank – and in any event, would turn on Israel the second the opportunity presented itself.

Syria’s insistence on the return of the Golan Heights as a precondition for peace is a Trojan Horse – particularly considering the timing. It was only last September that Israel destroyed a Syrian nuclear reactor that was only weeks from being operational. Syria has built one of the most formidable arsenals of missiles and rockets in the region, all of them aimed at Israel. From the Golan Heights, Syria would control much of northern Israel, as it did prior to losing the Golan to Israel in the Six Days War.

Israel is therefore surrounded with Hezbollah and Syria to the north, Hamas on both flanks, with al-Qaida sympathizers flooding in through Egypt and Jordan. Everything is in place for war except the pretext to start things off.

Starting up a nuclear reactor will do nicely.

The time of Jacob’s trouble and then the birth of the kingdom

No Gravatar

Since Hal Lindsey has been saying this for forty years now it has been false labor pains. Yet, today stresses in the earth do seem to be increasing and wars and famines are certainly on the horizon. So it looks like it won’t be long now to the time of Jacob’s trouble and the birth of the promised kingdom.

Last-days ‘birth pains’ have begun

Jesus used a Greek word for the labor pains of a woman about to give birth. Jesus knew that every generation could understand the illustration. His meaning is clear. Just as a woman experiences birth pains that increase in frequency and intensity just before giving birth, so ALL the signs of His return would increase in frequency and intensity just before His return. Hey, for he first time in history, all of the signs have appeared together in the same time frame and are increasing in frequency and intensity. That, coupled with the fulfillment of the great predicted sign that Israel became a nation again after 2,000 hopeless years of worldwide dispersion, indicates that Jesus Christ is already at the door ready to return. Are you ready?

A God given right to the land of Israel

No Gravatar

Chuck Missler explains why Israel is God’s land, that the covenant to occupy it is to the Jews, and what this has to do with what we see going on in the Middle East today.

The Betrayal of the Chosen - CWN

For those of us who take the Bible seriously, it is a critical time to be up to date on our homework. There are many dangers in not taking the Word of God seriously.

The Land does not belong to the Palestinians. It doesn’t belong to the U.N., the U.S., or even Israel! It specifically is the Lord’s. Yes, “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.”1 And yet, it is strange to note that there is a very specific parcel of real estate which has been set aside as His, and His alone.2 God delights in making and keeping promises. He takes them very seriously.

Ezekiel 36:21-25

This is a startling passage! They are to be regathered, not because they “deserve” to be, but because God’s own reputation is at stake-His Name is on the deal! (Again, it’s always by grace-just as our own blessings are!)

On May 14, 1948, the debate should have been silenced: the State of Israel was reborn in the very Land which God had declared for that purpose. Also, note the “then” in v. 25: they are to be regathered before becoming cleansed by faith and repentance. (It appears that the acknowledgment and repentance of the believing remnant is a precondition of the Second Coming.9)

The rise of Israel will bring the fall of the nations

No Gravatar

The nations of the world will be broken when they come against Jerusalem (Zec 12:9). Any nation that tries to take God’s covenant land for themselves or to eliminate God’s covenant people will reap their own destruction. This will be a prime test for all the nations to determine who believes the God of the Bible and who just gives lip service to some unknowable god of their own imagination and hates Him. The rise of Israel started sixty years ago. It will bring the fall of the nations in this prophetic generation.

CAN THESE BONES LIVE? ISRAEL AT 60 - CWN

Mark Twain said over 100 years ago, “All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but they remain. What is the secret of their immortality?” The key is to remember that God is a covenant keeper. God will not allow His precious “promised land” to fall into the hands of the wicked. And His chosen people’s eyes will not be blinded forever.

And so kings, pharaohs, fuhrers, Moslem extremists, the united European Economic Community, the United Nations, and the U.S. State Department have all tried to put an end to her either militarily or diplomatically, fulfilling the prophecy in Zechariah 12:3. Her most bitter enemies in the Moslem world chant the chorus of Psalm 83:4: “Come and let us wipe them [Israel] out as a nation that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” I say to all mullahs and terrorists, “Dream on, but you don’t stand a chance!”

Astute Bible prophecy teacher and author Joel Rosenberg (interview)

No Gravatar

Here is one great interview with Joel Rosenberg who gives his very astute view of end time events. His latest book is “Dead Heat”

CNN.com - Transcripts

ROSENBERG: Well I think eventually Rome will be the center of the E.U. How is that going to happen? I don`t know. There is a lot I don`t know. The point is the Bible laid out some details it doesn`t give us all the details.

BECK: Is it true that we — we haven`t bombed parts of Iraq because of, not only the historic significance, but the biblical significance of — of Babylon?

ROSENBERG: Babylon itself, Babylon is a province, it`s also a city, but there is no one living in current Babylon, it`s being reconstructed. There is no question American forces were very careful about bombing in the area. However there was some archaeological destruction as troops were coming in and out of there. That was a problem.

But I interviewed for my previous book, “Epicenter,” a nonfiction book, “Epicenter,” you and I have talked about it. I interviewed the chief economic adviser to the current prime minister of Iraq and I said “The New York Times” and others are reporting you have a plan to rebuild Babylon as a cultural epicenter. He said absolutely. He walked me through the plans they have to rebuild the city. They believe cultural tourism in Iraq will be the second largest money producer after oil, two, three, four, five years down the road.

Now, right now it`s almost impossible to imagine people going on a vacation to Iraq.

BECK: Oh, no. Come to Iraq. I mean .

ROSENBERG: I just went there. My family thought I was crazy, president of Crazytown. But look, the Bible says that is what will happen. People will come from all over the world. Revelation describes all the merchants of the earth are coming to Iraq. That`s not that far off I don`t think.

We are not the prodigal nation and belief in the Rapture is not the problem

No Gravatar

Dave Daubenmire obviously too often listens to people who do not know what they are talking about.

I emailed Dave the last time he made this ridiculous assertion that the Church is sitting around doing nothing waiting for the Rapture. Obviously what I said to him did not sink in so now I will say it publicly since he makes his ridiculous assertion publicly.

Most of the Church could care less about the Rapture and it certainly is not obsessed with end-time prophecy. As I told Dave before almost nobody is teaching it anymore. The few churches that are, are probably the churches that are actually doing something spiritual in this nation.

We who believe in the Rapture and the soon return of Jesus Christ are not paralyzed by Last-Days madness anymore than any other Spirit filled believers are. You insult the Holy Spirit that works through all His people. You obviously listen too much to heretical dominionists who think the world is not Christianized because the church is failing. The world is failing by rejecting the teaching of the Church. That is not the fault of the Church. Most of the world is pagan because it does not accept the Gospel rather than not heard it.

Part of your problem is that you cannot discern between cultural Christians in this nation and the real Church. You act as if America was and is a Christian nation and all that the Christians have to do is get off their duff like the prodigal Son, return to God and take this nation back for Christ. The Church you imagine in America did not exist and it does not exist. The real Church in this nation has always been a minority and it has always been working for Christ.

You expect a “Christian” people that does not exist in America to suddenly see the light and act like Christians because you rail against them? You are not living in reality.

Dave, you have some wise things to tell Americans about what they need to do to save this nation. But, don’t confuse instructing Americans to return to Christian moral values with telling Americans that most of them are lazy Christians who need to repent from some end-time madness of looking for the Rapture. It is not happening. It is a false argument. It is counterproductive and it is stupid.

Most Americans are pagans that need to be saved but can’t be saved. Most reject the only message that can save them because they love their sins and want to believe a lie.

As for your “heal our land” statement out of Malachi. That promise in context was clearly made to physical Israel and applies to physical Israel. Last I heard we are America. There is no promise to Christians in other nations that if they humble themselves and pray that God will heal their pagan land. Try preaching that nonsense to the persecuted church in China. The promise of restoration is to the land of Israel. You like many just like to take promises to Israel out of context and make them yours but then your promises just become presumptions. America is not the promised land.

Dave, Get a grip!

Dave Daubenmire — The Prodigal Nation

What type of leadership burns our food?

The American Church is paralyzed by what Gary DeMar calls “Last-Days Madness.” In a nutshell, the modern American Church has become so obsessed with End-Time prophecy that Christians have ceased to be the “salt and light” that Christ has commanded us to be. Convinced that things are “only going to get worse” Christians have neglected Jesus’ mandate to “Occupy until I return and have instead turned the gates of authority over to the enemies of the cross.

“Worse is better!” I heard one Christian-radio pundit say. “As things get worse that means the return of the Lord is near.”

What hogwash! Is the Lord glorified by the multiplication of evil? “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth…” Did Jesus pray against His own will?

I don’t want to turn this into a theological discussion and get us all wrapped in the minutia of fig trees and famines. For the Lord’s sake, man, STAND UP AND FIGHT!

I have often wondered what America would look like if the Church believed in revival as much as it believed in the rapture.

Middle East war very likely this summer.

No Gravatar

There is increasing talk again about a U.S. strike on Iran. I think it cannot be discounted because of Iran’s increased nuclear development, the preparation for war going on in Syria, and Iran’s arming of the Hamas and Hezbollah with thousands of missiles. A Middle East war in late spring or early summer on the 60th year of Israel’s existence is more likely than not.

Newsmax.com - Source: U.S. Strike on Iran Nearing

Contrary to some claims that the Bush administration will allow diplomacy to handle Iran’s nuclear weapons program, a leading member of America’s Jewish community tells Newsmax that a military strike is not only on the table – but likely.

“Israel is preparing for heavy casualties,” the source said, suggesting that although Israel will not take part in the strike, it is expecting to be the target of Iranian retribution.

“Look at Dick Cheney’s recent trip through the Middle East as preparation for the U.S. attack,” the source said.

Cheney’s hastily arranged 9-day visit to the region, which began on March 16, included stops in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Turkey, and the Palestinian territories.

Tensions in the region have been rising.

The bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities is likely, justified and necessary for any peace

No Gravatar

Pat Buchanan sometimes gets it both right and wrong at the same time. He is insightful and makes the case why the U.S. needs to bomb Iran and probably will. But then his attitude suggests that Bush is a war monger and Bush would be wrong to carry this bombing out.

Would it put McCain in office like Pat suggests? Well for that to happen it would have to be a short sharp war that carries out its military objectives like Pat suggests. If it does that Pat should celebrate the victory and the decade of peace it will bring and not whine. His real fear should be that it will not be a sharp short war and then we will have Obama in office cutting and running in the midst of a regional Middle-East war.

We have a year or two to stop Iran from acquiring nukes and if a Democrat gets elected and it has not been done, it will never be done. You think we have problems in the Middle East now just let Iran finish installing their 56,000 advanced centrifuges that will be capable of producing nuclear material for several nuclear weapons a month. They already have a highly advanced missile system that will threaten the entire Middle East, Europe and even the U.S. through an EMP attack. Also keep in mind that Saudi Arabia will then go nuclear for self protection as well as others. Even Israel will openly expand its nuclear weapons development program if Israel had not already bombed Iran by themselves by that time. If you want a recipe for nuclear world war just allow Iran to become nuclear.

Pat says Iran does not want war. Of course they don’t want the U.S. to bomb them, but they do arm those who are warring in the Middle East against Israel and the U.S. That fact is not in question by any rational person. Iran wants to walk the line so it has time to build nukes and then it intends to dictate to the whole Middle East. That would inclue removing the Jewish state and overthrowing the rule of the Arab Kings and Princes.

So Pat, thanks for the information, but don’t be so damn naive. Someone might think that you really are lobbing for an advisory position with Obama?

Petraeus points to war with Iran

This is Bush’s last chance to strike and, when Iran responds, to effect its nuclear castration. Are Bush and Cheney likely to pass up this last chance to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities and effect the election of John McCain? For any attack on Iran’s “terrorist bases” would rally the GOP and drive a wedge between Obama and Hillary.

Indeed, Sen. Clinton, who voted to declare Iran’s Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization, could hardly denounce Bush for ordering air strikes on the Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force, when Petraeus testified, in her presence, that it is behind the serial murder of U.S. soldiers.

The Iranians may sense what is afoot. For Tehran helped broker the truce in the Maliki-Sadr clash in Basra, and has called for a halt to the mortar and rocket attacks on the Green Zone.

With a friendly regime in Baghdad that rolled out the red carpet for Ahmadinejad, Iran has nothing to gain by war. Already, it is the big winner from the U.S. wars that took down Tehran’s Taliban enemies, decimated its al-Qaida enemies and destroyed its Sunni enemies, Saddam and his Baath Party.

No, it is not Iran that wants a war with the United States. It is the United States that has reasons to want a short, sharp war with Iran.

Jews against Christian Zionism

No Gravatar

This excommunication of the Christian Zionists does not surprise me. Most of Israel are leftist secular humanists who will make peace with their enemies at any cost. The only hope they see for peace is a peace enforced by the world powers. Zionist evangelicals are telling them not to give up there land for peace because it will bring a holocaust but if they know Bible prophecy they also know that a holocaust must come. So it gets rather difficult to understand why some people’s ministry is to bring a mostly unbelieving people back to a place where they know they will be doomed.

Most of the liberals running the Jewish nation now just see Zionists as a hindrance to brokered peace so they believe Christian Zionists are a threat to their nation. It is one of the reasons why Christian proselytizing is not allowed.

Some Zionist evangelicals have made the mistake of thinking that the nation of Israel would be blessed before they returned to God. The Bible does not teach that. It actually teaches that before Israel will return to God the nation will accept a Wicked Shepard a false Messiah that will lead them into another Jewish holocaust where two thirds of all the Jews in the Land will be cut off.

So we have a two part truth here that is inevitable. The blind Jews that are running Israel will lead the country into the prophecies of their end time destruction and a smaller remnant will believe the two witnesses sent by God and be saved. The other truth is that Christian Zionists will be increasingly looked at by everyone as a threat to world peace.

Activist Zionists trying to hurry the Jews back to Israel might have thought they could hasten Bible prophecy because they correctly see that Israel will one day be restored but they too often downplayed the prophetic chapters that come before the final chapter where Israel is restored. They knew Bible prophecy declared that Israel would go into this final holocaust but their actions in supporting unbelieving people destined for destruction might be questionable. They down play the fact that Israel has not and will not accept their message and any role they played in Israel’s last days is probably way overblown.

I am not against Christian Zionism, I am one. All Christians should be Zionists. We know that God gave the land to the descendants of Israel but I also think many Christian Zionists today are pretty naive.

They should know that no long term blessings can come to the nation of Israel before Israel accepts their true Messiah and this brokered peace deal with the world was inevitable. It is prophetic. So don’t feel jilted when the Jewish leaders turn on you, it was inevitable.

American Thinker: Rabbi Yoffie Excommunicates Pastor Hagee

Rabbi Eric Yoffie, President of the Union for Reform Judaism, seems to think Israel has too many allies in America. In particular, he believes that Israel can do without the support of evangelical Christians, and especially Pastor John Hagee, founder of Christians United for Israel.

No Jewish animal sacrifices allowed

When Jews build their temple and start animal sacrifices they will soon be stopped by the uproar coming form the animal rights movement. According to Daniel the daily sacrifice will be taken away and eventually this ritual will be replaced by worship of a image set up in the temple. We can now easily see how a law or judicial ruling will force the ceasing of the daily sacrifice almost as soon as it begins.

Animal rights groups against Passover sacrifice - Israel Jewish Scene, Ynetnews

The Temple movements’ intention to hold a public slaughter of the Passover sacrifice was slammed by the animal rights movement, Let Animals Live. The activists demanded that the event’s coordinators cancel their plans, and sent letters to Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski, and to the Director of the Temple Institute, Yehuda Glick, threatening to sue if their demands were not met within 24 hours.

Four unfulfilled unconditional covenants to natural Israel

No Gravatar

If people understood what Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum is saying in this one article about God’s unfilled covenants there would be no amillennialism, post millennialism or Replacement Theology and everyone would know that God still is fulfilling His plan for natural Israel. They would know that the final stage is being set for the covenants to be fulfilled. The timing is playing out in God’s prophetic sequence.

People can pretend that they have some deeper spiritual truth that nullifies the covenant promises given to Israel but their presumptuous allegorizations of God’s promises given without conditions will not change the natural fulfillment to Israel.

Pre-Trib Research Center: Premillennialism in the Old Testament

The first basis for the belief in a coming Kingdom rests on the four unconditional, unfulfilled covenants God made with Israel. These covenants are unconditional and so rely solely on God for their fulfillment and not on Israel. They are also unfulfilled, and since God is One Who keeps His promises, they must be fulfilled in the future. They can only be fulfilled within the framework of a Messianic Kingdom or a Millennial Kingdom. More will be said about these covenants later, but the main points will be summarized here. The first of these is the Abrahamic Covenant, which promised an eternal Seed developing into a nation that will possess the Promised Land with some definite borders. While that nation-??the Jews-??continues to exist, never in Jewish history have they possessed all of the Promised Land. For this promise to be fulfilled, there must be a future Kingdom. Besides, the possession of the Land was not merely promised to Abraham’??s seed, but to Abraham personally when God said, to you will I give it, and to your seed for ever (Gen. 13:15). For God to fulfill His promise to Abraham (as well as to Isaac and Jacob), there must be a future Kingdom.

The second covenant is the Palestinian Covenant, or Land Covenant, that spoke of a worldwide regathering of the Jews and repossession of the Land following their dispersion. While the dispersion has already occurred and is in effect today, the regathering and repossession of the Land still awaits fulfillment in the future. This, too, requires a future Kingdom.

The Davidic Covenant is the third covenant, and it promised four eternal things: an eternal house (dynasty), an eternal throne, an eternal kingdom, and one eternal Person. The Dynasty became eternal because it culminated in a Person Who is Himself eternal: Jesus the Messiah. For that reason the Throne and Kingdom will be eternal as well. But Jesus has never yet sat on the Throne of David ruling over a Kingdom of Israel. The reestablishment of the Davidic Throne and Messiah’??s rule over the Kingdom still awaits a future fulfillment. It requires a future kingdom.

The last of these covenants is the New Covenant, which spoke of the national regeneration and salvation of Israel, encompassing each individual Jewish member of that nation. This, too, awaits its final fulfillment and requires a future kingdom.

It is the extensive prophetic writings, as well as all of these covenants, that provide the basis for the belief in a future Messianic Kingdom, and not merely one chapter of a highly symbolic book. Unless they are understood literally, they lose all meaning in the context in which they are found. To allegorize such a vast amount of material is to render a major part of the Bible meaningless.

To summarize, the basis for the belief in a Messianic Kingdom is twofold: the unfulfilled promises of the Jewish covenants, and the unfulfilled prophecies of the Jewish prophets.

Syria’s rockets against Israel will bring about her own destruction

No Gravatar

Syria has known chemical and biological capabilities and has tried to obtain nukes. With this arsenal of rockets it should be clear why Bible prophecy says that Damascus will be destroyed. It increasingly looks like this will take place in the very near future

clipped from www.worldnetdaily.com
The official said after the Israeli airstrike, Syria picked up the pace of
acquiring rockets and missiles, largely from Russia with Iranian backing, with
the goal of completing its missile and rocket arsenal by the end of the year.
The Jordanian official said Syria is aiming to possess enough projectiles to
fire over 100 rockets into Israel per hour for a sustained period of time.

UN wants to outlaw Zionism

I always figured the satanic forces behind the UN only permitted Israel to exist so it could gather Jews in one place to kill them. I have news. God has other plans for Israel.

Louise Arbour, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights, has thrown
her support behind a major pan-Arab human rights charter that commits to the
elimination of Zionism.
Article 2 of the 53-article document says “all forms of racism, Zionism and foreign occupation and domination” should be “condemned and efforts must be deployed for their elimination.”
