If you believed some of the Christian revival hype that was going around this year, you might have been lead to believe that by Thanksgiving our nation would be in sack cloth and ashes humbling themselves and praying and repenting so God would heal our land. That is what some Christian media hucksters tried to sell you, but reality turned out quite differently. It seems that the camp-outs for Black Friday that will be ushering in the commercialism of Christmas will supersede any post Thanksgiving national repentance.

Being scary is just too cool on Halloween.

Halloween is the time of the year when Mahmud Ahmadinejad masks sell like hot cakes because for some reason people think that having the scariest mug on the planet is just too cool on Halloween. Ahmadinejad by himself could haunt a house in the Christian most parts of Lebanon. This week he is on his way to do just that in person. October is the month when scary people like Ahmadinejad get a pass to act like themselves.

There are many parallels to the 1930’s today. History does repeat itself. It seems the socialists of the 1930’s have been reincarnated to play in the upcoming 2010’s world war games.

In the 1930’s the world was heading into a decade of deep depression. All indicators are that in the 2010’s the world will see the same economic fate. In the 1930’s socialism was the big rising ideology. There were some differences between the various socialisms of the 1930’s but they all had many similarities as well, such as government having control over everyone and the redistributing wealth. Israel and Bible prophecy in the light of present world realities

I have figured out that I really cannot figure out how end time prophetic events involving Israel will all play out but of course like so many others that write on Bible prophecy that won’t stop me from writing about it.

Probably the main premillennial futurist speculation today is that the war of Ezekiel chapter 38 will take place within a few years but that does not make sense to me in the light of present world realities. Israel is not living in security as it is so clearly stated in the Ezekiel prophecies. Many still talk about America being united but where is the union, Jack? We are still called The United States of America, nevertheless where is the Union Jack? I simply am not seeing much unity in America. This nation under Obama has become more divided than any time since the Civil War.

  • In American Christianity we have the social reformers and the great commissioners, but the majority are the latter day Laodiceans.
