Man creating life by trial and error

No Gravatar

Not only are they working on mixing the genetics of species to create new species they are planning to create new lifeforms altogether. Thing about it. Any life could be created by design. How about if someone created a non lethal insect like creatures that flies and stings people until the designer obtains total submission and control over the earth (Rev 9:3-11)?

Do we really want to trust man not to screw up creation through his trial and error experiments and also not think they he will not eventually use his knowledge for weapons of war and control?

Warning over dangers posed by creation of ‘artificial life’ - Scotsman.com News

AN EMERGING field of science which is being used to create artificial life is at risk of damaging the ecosystem and being abused by terrorists, according to a new report.
Scientists have high hopes for a new technique called synthetic biology, which involves engineering organisms so they work in new ways that do not currently exist in nature.

What is synthetic biology?

The creation of artificial biological systems and organisms. This could involve redesigning existing cell chromosomes, or creating a whole new artificial life system.

Has artificial life been created by scientists?

Craig Venter, a controversial DNA researcher involved in the race to decipher the human genetic code, announced last year he had created a synthetic chromosome in the laboratory, christened mycoplasma laboratorium.

The next step will be to insert this into a living bacterial cell. It is expected to take control of the cell, in effect becoming a new life form.

What are the concerns?

Opponents to synthetic biology say that artificial microbes may have dangerous consequences, such as escaping into the environment or being used to manufacture bioweapons.

Other concerns are that commercial monopolies could be created in areas such as the development of fuels.

Bird flu pandemic still on the horizon

The bird flu is still a future disaster waiting to happen. The threat of a world pandemic has not gone away

Risk of bird flu pandemic probably growing | U.S. | Reuters

GENEVA (Reuters) - The risk of a human influenza pandemic remains real and is probably growing as the bird flu virus becomes entrenched in poultry in more countries, health officials warned on Tuesday.

Some 150 experts are attending a meeting hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to update its guidance to countries on how to boost their defences against a deadly global epidemic.

Locusts came on the earth and unto them was given power as the scorpions of the earth have power.

This might be something to keep in mind. There are now weaponizing bugs. It almost sounds like this could have something to do with the fulfillment of Rev 9:10. More likely the Revelation event is all super national but if weaponized hybrid bugs are developed by man there is a remote possibility that what comes out of the smoke may have been first developed by man.

Unleashing the Bugs of War - TIME

The Agency’s Microsystems Technology Office is hard at work on HI-MEMS (Hybrid Insect Micro-Electro-Mechanical System), raising real insects filled with electronic circuitry, which could be guided using GPS technology to specific targets via electrical impulses sent to their muscles. These half-bug, half-chip creations — DARPA calls them “insect cyborgs” — would be ideal for surveillance missions, the agency says in a brief description on its website.

Drug-Resistant Staph Germ’s Toll Is Higher Than Thought

Drug-Resistant Staph Germ’s Toll Is Higher Than Thought: “A dangerous germ that has been spreading around the country causes more life-threatening infections than public health authorities had thought and is killing more people in the United States each year than the AIDS virus, federal health officials reported yesterday. The microbe, a strain of a once innocuous staph bacterium that has become invulnerable to first-line antibiotics, is responsible for more than 94,000 serious infections and nearly 19,000 deaths each year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calculated.”

“This is a significant public health problem. We should be very worried,” said Scott K. Fridkin, a medical epidemiologist at the CDC.

“The MRSA estimate is being published with a report that a strain of another bacterium, which causes ear infections in children, has become impervious to every approved antibiotic for youngsters.
“Taken together, what these two papers show is that we’re increasingly facing antibiotic-resistant forms of these very common organisms,” Bancroft said.”

With that news about antibiotic resistant diseases we should see that the fourth horseman of Revelation could be riding soon.

Regional nuclear war could trigger mass starvation

Regional nuclear war could trigger mass starvation - being-human - 03 October 2007 - New Scientist: “The global death toll from a nuclear war in Asia ‘could exceed one billion from starvation alone’, Helfand concludes. Food shortages could also trigger epidemics of cholera, typhus and other diseases, as well as armed conflicts, which together could kill ‘hundreds of millions’.

Another study being unveiled at today’s conference suggests that the smoke unleashed by 100, small, 15 kiloton nuclear warheads could destroy 30-40% of the world’s ozone layer. This would kill off some food crops, according to the study’s author, Brian Toon, an atmospheric scientist from the University of Colorado in Boulder, US. The smoke would warm the stratosphere by up to 50°C, accelerating the natural reactions that attack ozone, he says. ‘No-one has ever thought about this before,’ he adds, ‘I think there is a potential for mass starvation.’”

No one has thought of it before? It sounds much like what will happen when the four horsemen of the Apocalypse ride. India and Pakistan could go at it at any time, as could others. So how close is the world to those biblical events? Just one major miscalculation or one sneak attack away.

Eugenics: past, present and future

No Gravatar

Eugenics Since the early days of eugenics, a new ‘brand’ of this science has emerged in modern times. The environmental branch of eugenics believes that, due to overpopulation, measures must be taken to either impede population growth through various eugenic policies, or take drastic measures to eliminate living human beings from the earth. Unlike those who advocate eugenics to strictly rid humanity of ‘undesirables,’ some advocate the culling of humanity in general in order to save planet earth. Many globalist initiatives surround environmental issues, one of which has been population control and reduction. “

“The apex of a futuristic eugenics program comes with the advent of designer babies, embryos that are genetically enhanced through various methods. The knowledge gathered through the study of the human genome will, according to some, lead to the ability to create such designer babies.”

The future is now: Genetically altered babies already bornThere is still doubt among scholars and scientists that the Human Genome Project will lead to a new eugenics program, such as designer babies. They cite limitations on current technology and the need for further research as reasons for this position. However, unknown to many, genetically altered babies have already been born. The implications of this development are immense, but it has received little attention. Because these babies were “created” in the private sector and the lab did not receive government funding, there were no governmental restrictions on what could be done. As Wired magazine reported in 2001,

Could the Beast have already been born. Will it yet be born?

Infectious diseases spreading faster than ever

Infectious diseases spreading faster than ever: U.N. International Reuters: “GENEVA (Reuters) - Infectious diseases are emerging more quickly and spreading faster around the globe than ever and becoming increasingly difficult to treat, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Thursday. With billions of people moving around the planet every year, the U.N. agency said in its annual World Health Report: ‘An outbreak or epidemic in one part of the world is only a few hours away from becoming an imminent threat somewhere else.’”

The Bible say that there will be pestilences in the end times. We can now see how easy that can now take place on earth in our times. One year everything is fine and then wham..something like the bird flu hits and all human interaction on the earth suddenly changes.

Risk of bird flu pandemic ‘greater than claimed’

No Gravatar

Risk of bird flu pandemic ‘greater than claimed’ - Telegraph: “Contingency plans drawn up by the NHS are based on a 3 per cent chance in any given year that the virus will mutate into a form that infects humans. However, an international review at a summit of avian flu experts put the risk of a pandemic during the next year as between 5 and 20 per cent.”

Chances of a Bird flu pandemic this winter is as high as 20 percent. If it occurs there will only be one percent of the hospital beds necessary to take care of the victims.
