I personally think we have about 20 years left before we complete the prophetic end of the age and enter the millennial reign of Jesus. If that is true, I think many things must happen in the next twenty years, so be very careful about what you buy into. If my timing is correct, and Jesus comes for the faithful Church prior to the tribulation, then at most there is ten to fifteen years left to work before the Rapture. If we are that close to the second coming, then the stage for some of the end time prophetic events should already be observable in the world. Read more...
I wrote a draft on Ezekiel 37 not too long ago but I deleted it thinking that what I wrote was just too far out of the box to be accepted. However, true to my loose cannon nature, I will try to sink some boats after all, even if that means I may sink my own. What I write is certainly not infallible doctrine so I just may have Ezekiel 37 wrong. Read more...
People who study Bible prophecy usually want to know about things to come. Even so, there is only so much that God revealed to us in the scriptures about the future. When people go outside of inspired texts to find more truth or information they are going to be misled. Also, those people claiming direct revelation from God about the future should know that speaking lies and their own presumptions in the name of God puts them in grave danger. Those with itching ears might believe these false prophets but what they learn from them will not lead them into doing anything productive for Christ. Read more...
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ Through the Ages” by Don Koenig has been one of the most viewed free Revelation commentaries on the Internet. The first revision of this ebook Revelation commentary has now been completed. The link above will take you to the on-line index of the book. Don first wrote the original Revelation commentary in 2004. This Revelation commentary takes a futurist premillennial modified dispensational view of the events within Revelation. Don Koenig believes the events described in Revelation often through illustrations are literal events and that they should not be spiritualized to the mystical. Read more...
One of the great controversial mysteries of Bible prophecy is the identity of the restrainer of 2Th 2:7. This issue came up in a recent post and I took the standard view given by most dispensational Bible prophecy teachers that the restrainer mentioned in 2Th 2:7 is the Holy Spirit within the Church. Since then I decided to do a more in-depth study on this passage and to try to think things through logically. Read more...
If you do a quick Google study on the Internet on the year that Jesus was crucified you will see that there are those claiming all sorts of proof why they know the correct year of the crucifixion. You can find some very good arguments why their date is correct but the problem is that their dates span every year from 30 AD to 35 AD. They might all have good arguments but they certainly can’t all be correct. Read more...
I believe that any Mark of Beast System where no man can buy or sell cannot realistically be established worldwide until there is a worldwide communication system where even the poor and the rural people of the world have access. Since I live in a place where high-speed Internet is still not available or feasible I keep on top of the news on any new high-speed Internet developments. Read more...
I do not totally buy into the “fourth turning” time cycles although the four turnings spoken about in that book do seem to occur about once in a human lifespan. I as well, see a bitter winter coming to our nation and the world in the near future. I think we are about two years away from at least two decades of unparalleled world chaos. Read more...
One reason why I write new articles is so that I do not have to keep repeating myself when the inevitable questions or criticisms on my Bible prophecy views come up over and over again in comments on this blog or in emails to me. I do wish people would use the search box on the homepage of my website or this blog to find out if I already have written about a topic before they ask questions on Bible prophecy, but they usually do not. (The search box on the website homepage also covers the articles on this blog). Even so, if I already wrote an article on the subject I often just give them a link rather than recreate the wheel. So that it one purpose for this article. Read more...
It has been announced that Russia is going to fuel up the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran on Aug 21st, 2010. That has also fueled speculation by some that Israel or even the U.S. will attack the reactor within the next eight days because after it goes operational nobody would dare attack this reactor because radiation would be spread over a large area of the Middle East. Attacking it after it has become operational for a while would even be worse, because it would spread the Plutonium that is generated in the fuel rods and wherever this Plutonium dust might spread would become radioactive and uninhabitable for human life for many thousands of years. We have had quite a bit of discussion in the comments section about the fig tree of Matthew chapter 24 and Mark chapter 13 because of certain teachers interpretations put on it that imply all end time events will be fulfilled by 2018 (a normal lifespan from Israel being back in the Land). It therefore probably should be something I should discuss in more depth since I do not agree that Jesus was saying that all will be fulfilled by 2018. Read more...
I certainly am not a prophet but I believe we are in the final decades just before the Messianic age and Millennial Kingdom of Yeshua. In fact, I think there will only be three more decades. Sometime before the end of that third decade I think Yeshua (Jesus) will have returned to earth to set up His Millennial kingdom. Read more...

Certain Bible prophecy teachers are saying certain things that can only be labeled as dangerous theology.
The dangerous theology I am talking about comes from subjective interpretations of the Parable of the Fig Tree mentioned in three gospels. The problem is that they teach their conjecture as truth and that is what makes it dangerous theology. When they say the Rapture has to occur before the end of next year based on their own subjective interpretation of the Parable of the Fig Tree they are teaching dangerous theology. Read more...
If you look on my blog side bar you will see by far the post that is being hit on the most frequently is The Book of Enoch and Bible prophecy. That fact probably has more to do with keyword rankings in Google then it does with the interests of the readers of this Blog, but even so, the account in Genesis of the Son’s of God taking the daughters of men as wife’s and producing an offspring called the Nephilim seems to be of great interest to a whole lot of people. Perhaps that is because people sense that there is more to the story than what they were taught in Sunday school on this topic. Read more...
I really love these people who tell me that they really believe the world is coming to an end in 2012, or they are certain that the Rapture has to happen within a year or two, or that they have the date of the second coming all figured out, or that Jesus has to come before 2019 because of their interpretation of the “Fig Tree Parable”, or based on some pagan prophecy, or the sayings of Jack Van Impe, etc., etc., but they continue to retain all their wealth like they are going to live here forever or take it with them. I am certain that this post will upset some people but with all the hype and speculation about Jesus coming between 2012-2019 the truth has to be said by someone. I will say dogmatically that Jesus is not coming to rule the earth between 2012-2019 as some Bible prophecy teachers are now saying. Read more...
Many people are interested in things to come in these last days but some say it is a waste of time to teach on these things at all since interpretations of bible prophecy can be somewhat subjective. However, I assure you that if the Church does not teach on Bible prophecy people will go to the cults and those that give aberrant interpretations of Bible eschatology for wrong answers and spiritual bondage. Although I have seen this study posted in several different parts on a re-posting site elsewhere, the complete study is available on the link. This is about the best study I have seen on all the possible timings and positions on the Ezekiel 38-39 war. It gives all the different views and the pros and cons of each position. Nathan Jones position is quoted below. To read all the other views on this you will have to read the whole article. Read more...
About every other week I get a email telling me in one way or another that the parable of the fig tree means that all will be fulfilled by 2019 AD. Thus they believe the start of the tribulation or rapture has to be by 2012. There are well known Bible prophecy teachers teaching this today. I am tired of answering questions on this over and over so I am writing my own position on the “Parable of the Fig Tree”. In the future if anyone asks me about it or suggests that the Rapture has to occur within two or three years they will get a link to this post. Read more...
What if you woke up tomorrow and there was no more electricity for the foreseeable future? If you think that is not a real possibility the experts say you are wrong. I already have written about about the possibility of a nuclear EMP weapon that could put America back to conditions in the 19th century. Now a study by NASA and the US National Academy of Science (NAS) tells us that it is just a matter of time before a solar storm will make a similar event happen on at least part of the earth. They are not talking about some possibility of a storm some millions of years in the future. They are saying it can happen in our time. We had such a solar event just before the electric age. I am liking the teaching of Nathan Jones. He gives very good answers to those who expect a local Muslim Antichrist. Besides this article he also had a very good article the other day on the Divided States of America. I wrote on this topic myself and like me, Jones also see the possibility of a break up of the United States because of deep moral divisions. Read more...
There is a rather heated controversy stirring between traditional Bible prophecy authors who think the Antichrist will be a western figure and more recent authors who think the Antichrist will come out of Islam.
I wrote on this in July and gave some of my thoughts why the Antichrist would not be a Muslim and his Beast Kingdom would not be Islam. Read more...
The Two Witnesses From Heaven Will be Hell to the World
The Two Witnesses From Heaven Will be Hell to the World
By Don Koenig
The ministry of the two witnesses from God in Revelation chapter 11 will last for 1260 days. This event is the most understated event of Bible prophecy. The witnesses, the two prophets from heaven will shake the world to its core and the whole world will rejoice when they are killed because they tormented those who dwell on the earth. Read more...

I am posting this article not because I think the Yellowstone Caldera or Mammoth Caldera are about to go off but just as food for thought. I do not for a minute subscribe to the theory that this caldera was formed 642,000 years ago. More likely it was formed in the days of Exodus only a few thousand years ago. Read more...
There is no question that there is intelligence life out there not of the earth. The Bible calls them angels. Some are fallen angels and we read about the conflict between the angels of God and those angels that follow Satan in scripture. Satan was the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Actually the word interpreted as “serpent” “nachash” could actually mean “the shining one”. Read more...
I have not read the book “Isralestine”, by Bill Salus but it sounds like an intriguing prophetic explanation of end time events. Almost all futurist Bible prophecy students will agree that there are three end time wars involving Israel. However, we disagree somewhat on the timing of first two wars. Those wars being the Ezekiel Chapter 38 and 39 war where Gog comes down with a host of nations and the Psalm 83 war where a confederacy of nations attempts to cut Israel off from being a nation. In the mix somewhere is the destruction of Damascus since the prophecy has never been fulfilled yet. Read more...

I get emails asking me if I believe the Antichrist will be Islamic. Some give me a list of reasons why I am wrong in my articles to think that the Antichrist will come from Christianity or Judaism. They send me reasons from other Bible prophecy teachers why the idea that Bible prophecy teachers thought the Antichrist will come from the Roman Empire was wrong and why he will really come from Islam. Although I respect the Bible prophecy teachers that are now teaching this I do not believe that the Antichrist and his Beast government will come out of Islam.

First of all, this article is not exactly true, the Temple Institute did not just begin preparing for the Third Temple by making priestly garbs. The Temple Institute has been preparing for the building of the Third Temple for decades. It is interesting to watch the effort continue but remember, these Jews do not believe in Jesus and what they say is often self serving and scripturally just plain wrong. For Example: Rabbi Yehuda Glick in this article says the prophets say that all the nations will be coming to Jerusalem and take part in building the Third Temple and that it will unite the nations around one central house of prayer. This might be something to keep in mind. There are now weaponizing bugs. It almost sounds like this could have something to do with the fulfillment of Rev 9:10. More likely the Revelation event is all super national but if weaponized hybrid bugs are developed by man there is a remote possibility that what comes out of the smoke may have been first developed by man.

I can make a good case for either Moses and Enoch being one of the two witnesses but I tend to lean toward Enoch. Your not crazy, the collapse of civilization as we know is near. Many of these surplus men will make up the army of the 200 million out of the East in Revelation. There are 163 million surplus men now but there will be many more by 2030. By the time all the end time events play out the Bible says this surplus of men will change to men becoming rarer than gold. We should no longer wonder why Israel elects leaders that will destroy their state. Frankly, with their secular humanistic atheist views Jews do not deserve God’s grace to live in His land. The Majority of Jews today are worse than the ones that God threw out of the Land twice. These atheist cowards actually will side with those trying to destroy them. Jews once said, never again, after the holocaust. Most of today’s Jews resent Israel. By their cowardly appeasement of those who wish to eliminate them as a nation and race they guarantee another holocaust. Read more...

Let’s celebrate the Apocalypse, says Vatican – Telegraph: “Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican secretary of state, said: ‘These masterpieces will help visitors to reread the last book of the Holy Scripture. The Apocalypse is not the worrying announcement of a catastrophic end to humanity, but a great proclamation of the failure of the infernal evils and of the mystery of Christ.’” Read more...
This is important in Bible prophecy because there will soon be a huge surplus of men of military age with no chance for a normal life. Ever since the 80′s China has been birthing a huge surplus of men. If they end the unbalance by 2010 like they have stated before. That generation will span from 1980 until about 2010 or 30 years. The last born of this surplus generation of men will be of military age by 2025 while the first of the generation will be still be young enough to be capable of fighting. This peak generation of disposable men will occur in the years between 2025-2035. Revelation talks about an army out of the East that will have 200 million men that was born for a specific time. The surplus men in 2025-2035 from China will be more than 100 million and they will be joined by other nations like India who also have surplus men to make up that unique army of 200 million men that was born for destruction.
This all occurs late in the seven year tribulation for Israel. So knowing that, we only have about two decades left before the tribulation begins. Read more...

I think the UN will take over in Iraq and I think that is also the prophetic scenario. Babylon will be rebuilt because the Antichrist will rule the world from there in the great tribulation. Lahaye did not put that in his “Left Behind” series by accident, it is based on Zec. chapter 5. So if we look at the situation over there and we take into account how fast a modern new city can be built once their is peace in the Middle East and the oil is flowing we can easily see that all pieces for the end time world city can be in place before 2030. If you want an example of the building of a world class city in modern times within one decade check out the city of Dubai. Babylon will be greater. Read more...
Hank Hanegraaff of CRI has a staff that gets him answers. That makes him credible on many biblical topics but when Hank Hanegraaff himself steps out in certain areas of theology he displays a basic lack of biblical understanding. We should not be surprised that mockers like Hank Hanegraaff would come against those who declare the soon coming of Jesus, Bible prophecy declares they will. The questionable character issues are well known and they can easily be found with any keyword search on his name on Google.

Dominion Theology is sometimes also called “Christian Reconstructionism” or “Kingdom Now” but there are significant differences among these theologies. I have lumped all the theologies together in this article under the name Dominion Theology because popular dominionist leaders that bridge denominations and movements have blurred the distinctions. This also is the case with most of their critics. They often lump together beliefs of “Kingdom Now, Christian Reconstructionism” “NAR” and “Latter Rain Theology” as if everyone agreed. There are many different religious doctrines within Dominion Theology so I include the words “many”, “most” or “some” in this article for good reason. Read more...
