Christian identity

Some of the evils in the Christian patriot movement:

Much of the patriot movement disrespects government leaders and authority that scripture says were put there by God. We are told to pray for our leaders, we are not to make railing accusations

Christian patriots are told to arm themselves and to be prepared to fight the new world order while scripture says that we are to be peaceful and willing to go like sheep to the slaughter

Christian patriots are told that they are not required to pay there taxes but scripture tells us we are to support the government put over us as the government requires.

Christian patriots believe it is in God’s will to isolate themselves instead of being a light to the world

Christians patriots slander, speak hearsay as truth and create a self perpetuating cycle of half truths and lies

Christian patriots are taught self-reliance instead of relying on God

Some Christian patriots have allowed themselves to be led by bigoted white supremacists

Many Christian patriots think that the US is the Promised Land. They believe the lie that they are descendants of the 10 lost tribes of Israel. They then apply to themselves scripture that is meant for the true descendants of Israel

Many Christian patriots believe that the US is the promised kingdom on earth. Thus, they might end up fighting for a world order led by America and Europe that will actually bring the Antichrist to power.

Many people in this patriot movement do not take part in any real orthodox Christian worship or fellowship and have little Bible scholarship – they tend to use passages in the Old Testament and apply them out of proper context to themselves but they conveniently overlook the more relevant messages of the New Testament

Many Christian patriots accept prophets who say they have a word or vision from the Lord if it is in agreement with their theories. It does not even seem to matter to them that their prophecies of a new world order invasion of the US in the year 2000 have not come true and will not come true before we have total social unrest in the United States and actually plead for these foreign troops to restore order.

  1. Hi Don.

Again you are spot on in explaining what is going on with such a lot of people. You again have gone to the heart of the lies that such a lot of people are being taken in by.

These pore people are so taken in by the lies of these so called leaders of this Patriot movement. As normal they use so much of the truth so that some will start to here what they are saying & think that what is then said is true.

If they go to the word of God they will see that non of it is true, but they trust these people so much that they do not test, as we are told to do in the word of God. They seem to start to follow the man or a man rather than the Lord himself.

As I said if they go to the Bible they would see that what is being said is so far from the truth its unreal. Replacement theology for a start, no where in the Bible does God ever take away his love or blessings from his people, he will never leave his people or ignore them, the Jews that is. They will always be his people that will never change.

Any person who reads the Bible can see in rev that God never leaves is people, so nobody else could ever be or take there place. That’s just one example of what these people say that if you read the Bible you will See that what they ave said & do say is a load of rubbish.

Also Don again as you say if it is read in context. That is the prime word, Context! That is the way every cult / spin off / con uses to make what they are saying to be the truth. They always use the word of God out of Context. The mormons do it the JW’s do it moonies do it muslims do it, you name it they all do it they all use the word of God out of Context, to make what they are saying to be the truth, but as soon as we do as the word tells us to do & that is to test what we are told & we check all that has been told to us in full context. We find that what all these people have said is not true.

We are told that in the last day’s even the elect will be deceived & this is what we are seeing. All we can do is to pray for our Brothers & Sisters that they will see the error & that they will come back onto the narrow path.

    God Bless you all

  2. I knew some people who were in the patriot movement and I followed their teaching quite closely for awhile since it parallels ideas of Bible prophecy.

Those I knew had little Biblical knowledge but they did identify with some concept of Christianity.

Nevertheless, it was a Christianity of works and rebellion againt what they considered the present “Beast” government.

Many of the leaders were making a living at doing the conspiracy circuits, giving false prophecy, and selling self published books, gold, guns, dried food or some other false security.

I know people who have had a years worth of dried food for decades for the seven year tribulation that was supposed to have already started. The sellers of the food made a lot of money and the bugs will get to eat it (if the bugs have not already) because if things get really bad the government will confiscate all horded food anyway.

The movement seems to appeal to those who are in rebellion against government. Yet, many of these people are being support by government in one way or another.

Some of the people just want someone to blame for their own shortcomings.

    God be with you
