Koenig’s perspectives on Bible prophecy and world issues, Aug 2011

It is amazing how fast economic perceptions can change in just over a week. People have been speculating in the stock and oil market like we were really going to have a significant recovery. Apparently they do not believe what people like me have been telling them. There is no recovery! Suddenly the markets are acting like there is going to be a double dip recession. Three trillion dollars has been lost in these markets in less than two weeks.

I wonder who is losing the money? All I can say is that big time gambling has its risks, some learn their lesson and some do not. You would think that after the last bubbles burst that speculators would have learned something but apparently many did not.

The situation now is that the wizard behind the curtain is running out of tricks. The past quarters of our economic “expansion” are continually being revised downward. Before the truth comes out that we never had a recovery we will probably officially be back in a recession. When inflation is growing faster than the GNP people are continually getting poorer and are in a personal depression no matter what the government calls it. The share of the eligible population holding a job is now 58 percent, this is the lowest level in almost thirty years. Even those that are still holding a job are being paid less, so any talk about a ongoing economic expansion is nuts.

By the way, the biggest losers of income by far in the 2007-2009 period according to official IRS records was those people making more than $200,000 a year. So all those rich people making over $200,000 a year were not getting richer.

Europe is also about to have a reality check, there are many countries in Europe that are in worse shape than us. Much of the world bought into Marxism and now they will reap the consequences. When you expand government so that they can redistribute the wealth and regulate, you destroy incentives to earn. And when government redistributes wealth that they have not even collected yet, they have to borrow and then pay it back someday. Someday has arrived.

You would think that the world elite would have learned a lesson from the old Soviet Union but apparently they did not. Even “Communist” China quietly gave up communist Marxism for fascism. It now seems that there will be a world depression on the level of the 1930’s. Sure, prices might not fall this time if governments just keep creating more paper but people will still get poorer and for them it is the same as a depression.

Contrary to what Europeans are being led to believe, Germany cannot bail out all of Europe by just creating trillons of dollars in money and if they do put up their money to save the EU the German people will hold the rest of Europe accountable when they once again have hyper-inflation in Germany. You might think Germans and Europeans would have learned a thing or two from the last century, but apparently they did not.

The American government just raised the national debt ceiling. That is no surprise but the cuts they claimed they made could be wiped out before they even make them. If the economy is growing less than what they projected, that means they will also collect less revenue than what they projected, so the deficit will be worse than what they expected. Also, in spite of the cuts the bond raters are not fooled by smoke and mirrors so they will downgrade American Treasury bonds anyway and that means higher interest payments down the road. Those two factors alone will more than offset any cuts that were projected over their ten year debt reduction plan.

It is very possible that the rise in the budget deficit that was supposed to fund government borrowing until 2013 will not even last that long. Treasury may very likely have to ask for a rise in the national debt ceiling again before Obama’s first term runs out because I do not see them making short term cuts in a recession but I do see them passing more costly stimulus that are not in the projected budget.

I also have a real problem with the way they intend to make the cuts that were associated with allowing the rise in the national debt ceiling. Creating a 12 member Politburo to just make the cuts is unconstitutional. Congress is afraid to make cuts in election years so they just appoint a gang of 12 in the Senate to do their dirty work. All power will be given to them to cut anything they want. How do I call my congressman to stop cuts that I do not want and hold him responsible for the cuts made? Also, if the gang of 12 do not come to agreement in the cuts they want to make there will be major cuts that will fall just on the Department of Defense and Medicare. I think anyone in Congress that voted for this unconstitutional bill should be fired.

Further, this seems to be another deliberate effort to destroy our military. Most of the first cuts are in national defense, and if the gang of 12 do not come to agreement, one-half of the other cuts will be in defense. At the same time, they are forcing the acceptance of homosexuals in the military and intend to destroy the military retirement system. The forced homosexual agenda and the destruction of the military retirement system will destroy the professional military. People will no longer want to make the military a career. Then when the next war comes they will need conscripts. Seems that all dictatorships require conscripts because a professional military would not put up with them. This will be our reality if these Marxists prevail to deconstruct our military.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————

It looks to me like there is a debate at top levels in Israel. The debate is do they do preemptive strikes now against their enemies or do they try to wait out the hostile Obama administration? It seems some are now thinking that Obama will be defeated and that Iran can be contained until the US gets a new administration. Those thinking that Obama will be replaced seem to be winning the debate in Israel.

That is why the focus is to try to slow down Iran’s nuclear program by computer viruses and selective assassinations of nuclear engineers. It is also why the Prime Minister of Israel is now willing to let Obama think that he will get what he wants. He won’t. However, by the time Obama figures out that Israel was rope-a-doping him, Obama might be out of office.

Of course, Israel might lose their bet about Obama being a one term President. So, if it looks like Obama is making a strong comeback, or if Israel finds out that Iran is already making nukes, then preemptive strikes become imminent.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————–

The situation in the Arab world looks bleak. It is almost certain that Egypt will be taken over by Islamists after the election. The war in Libya is going nowhere fast and Libya will probably soon become a new bed of terrorism. Thousands are being killed by the butcher of Syria. How much can the people of Syria endure? Will they just give up and allow Assad to continue, or will there be a civil war? If there is a civil war, what will the West do when the outcome of a civil war in Syria is bad and worse?

The Liberals call this an Arab Spring? It seems to me to be more like Arab summers – hot as hell. Even so, the Left wants to create another Arab state run by declared terrorists? It is obvious that those promoting this “democracy” movement are either totally out of touch with reality or think a democracy is mob or Islamic rule. Actually, a democracy is mob rule, and that is why we  have a Republic in America (if we can keep it).

What these Arab states prove, is that if you poison young minds to hate, they will grow-up to hate. There will continue to be wars and upheaval in Arab nations because hate is their passion.

  1. Sorry, I was not here and that is why Duwant2go2heaven nonsense about America being Babylon even remained posted. America is not Mystery Babylon and God told him no such thing. Now I will be taking all that garbage off my site. Sorry if I also take off your comments to him. They would now just become references to nothing so no point leaving them there. Obviously this dude is just on a misleading self directed mission to misinform. If anyone really wants to know who Mystery Babylon really is read my Revelation Commentary chapter 17 (On Top bar)

  2. Well! Now that America’s credit rating has been downgraded, I wonder if that means our roller coaster just rolled into the start the first precipitous drop? Monday will be interesting, I think.

I can’t imagine that our president will be be able to restore our AAA credit in his term, so I wonder if this has sealed his fate as a single-term president? (Of course, we haven’t deserved our AAA rating for quite some time in my opinion.)

  3. Brett,

I guess the question is if US Treasuries are still the only real safe haven in the world will it impact the Interest rate at all right now? I heard that the German central bank is now going to bail out Europe by just printing trillions in money just like we did. So in that case, who is going to flee to the Euro?

I guess the real crises hits when real people actually have to cash in that paper but real people require more and more of it for the same amount of goods.

  4. Don, I guess you realize your loyal followers are disappointed. Like Ken C. – we just knew one of your famous “loony tunes” replies was coming.

  5. Bob

Generally those that claim America is Babylon and that claim special Revelation are not posted on this blog. I am sure you understand the reasons why I do not allow special Revelation claims being posted but the reason why the America Babylon claims are not posted is that I get this stuff every few days from people that read too many Alex Jones type sites.

I already responded to the whole concept elsewhere and I have better things to do with my time than rehash tired claims with people that I know are unteachable because they hate America and get direct revelation from God about America.

This fellow was under moderation before for the same reason, but I recently cleared my list.

  6. Well Don, our debt was downgraded yesterday (Friday). You’ll have to go back and edit that into your article 😉

As far as it being upgraded at some point in the future, I think it’s never going to happen. It will be downgraded again. Can’t say when or how often, but it’s not looking good for the home team.

  7. It seems that if our government continues to destroy our military, the best defense against terrorists in the U.S. is going to be home defense.

I didn’t know that Israel was using that strategy and thinking with the Iran/Obama quandary but it surely makes sense.

What is going on in Syria is atrociously bad…why is the only thing I hear in the news is Hillary’s words vs Syria ? I know we are too thin to keep getting involved with M.E. problems, but unless there is an Assad ouster, is a bloody civil war the only answer ?

  8. I wonder if the next Big Thing will be for the dollar to lose reserve currency status?

  9. No Don, I can’t discuss anything with that hammer. It has a mind of its own. Why just a few days ago we had a disagreement and it gave me a knock on the head that took four staples to close up!

  10. Not adding comments-just letting you know I read the editorial and the comments.
Told my husband what you said Don. He loves your comment about the wizard behind the curtain running out of tricks. He has been using the analogy of the wizard behind the curtain lately about the budget crisis.

  11. Don, I was just re-reading your post and I wonder if our goverment tries to bring back the military draft, will the American people simply refuse to comply because the government has so deligitimized itself? Perhaps this could be yet one more thing that fragments our nation and/or triggers a civil war?

Doug? I think I’m rather glad I’m no prophet! I have a hard enough time being responsible with what God has given me already! 😉

  12. Hi Brett,

I guess I am assuming that by the time we have an unquestionable dictatorship that the choice not to comply with being conscripted into the military or some civilian counterpart will be exile or prison.

  13. Don,

You know more about the in’s and out’s of this more than I, however, I see the call to firing Tim Geithner as nothing more than a symbolic gesture for the total irresponsibility of the government as a whole.

Making one guy the scapegoat solves nothing…except for maybe another smokescreen to the American public.

  14. Geither was appointed by Obama and he tried to solve our economic crises using flawed Keynesian economics and that made things worse. Therefore, Geither should go or he is just going to continue his Keynesian folly and the Fed Chairman should go with him. It is time to get people running our economy that will use Austrian economics.

  15. Austrian Economic Theory is about as unpopular as Intelligent Design in most college curriculum.

Keynesian Economics has been a huge failure in the UK but, that is “papered over” and we continue on with the illusion (and assurance from Paul Krugman) that it works.

  16. Don & Brett,
referring to your ‘draft’ comments, when I retired from USAF in 2009 I was made aware of the possibility for recall…indefinitely. Not sure when this change came about except to say it had to happen in my 20 years (1989-2010) & this was discussed when I attended NCOA in 2005. The other thing about this is that it’s not just the retirees they can call back…ANYBODY that serves for any length of time is saddled with any future recalls. How much would you wager this is one of those things a recruiter barely skims over? So this is where I can see the bulk of ‘non-volunteers’ can be made available.

  17. Shawn

I know they can recall retired military for life but I think service obligation is only for a total of 8 years for others.

  18. Well shoot…we had a lengthy discussion with our instructor about it but I can’t find anything online that supports separated folks being subject to recall beyond their service obligation. I guess he was mistaken too. My father-in-law retired the year after I went in & he swears he’s past the point of being recalled.

  19. I think they would have to be pretty desperate to draft me, as I’m nearly fifty, but my son is a strapping 6’4″ young man and I’d hate for him to die for a worthless politician. (Blessedly I’m as certain as I can be that he is our Lord’s)

  20. Don this is off topic but Joel Osteen was here in Chicago last night at US Cellular Field for his annual tour and i watched some of it and wondered if my old pastor( i use that term loosely) was there. Sure enough near the end they showed him. What a sham to give false hope to people.

  21. Don,

This is waaaay off topic, but I am very curious as to the ages of most of the regulars and/or frequent visitors to this site. The reason I ask is because I am 31 and feel crazy for being the only person I know my age that lives in the “real world” as far as prophecy/end times events are concerned. It appears many of the regular posters are at least a bit older than I, if not a few decades older. I guess a classic poll would answer some questions although I doubt you would ever take your site to that juvenile level.

  22. Jeremy,

Most of the people that come to my site are obviously older than 30. Most of the topics covered here are not going to be of much interest to those that never have been taught about Bible prophecy or the satanic agenda in the world. Most youth in churches today are only taught some application for living.

    Jason,

Oprah has some truth on her site, that does not mean that people going to her for information are grounded enough in the scriptures to sift out the poison that is also found there. The same goes for Alex Jones.

    Anonymous,

I was told today by someone in church leadership that Joel Osteen recently gave an alter call. The implication was that this makes him orthodox because people responded?. Sure it does!

  23. Don, so just reading between the lines here, are you suggesting to sell oil investments since the economy appears to be slowing down? It would seem like if/when Israel and Iran go at it that the oil flowing from the gulf will be affected possibly sending oil prices much higher. I’ve always thought that Iran would attack Saudi Arabian oil installations since they are just across the gulf from them and they seem to hate each other and Iran apparently has the missiles to do the job, and I’m sure Russia would love the higher oil prices and that’s why they give Iran the missiles hoping Iran picks a fight with someone.

All this talk about re-instituting the draft and calling retirees back, now I’m reading on the net about lots of suspicious troop and equipment movement all around the country. Are we gearing up for another war/invasion somewhere or even martial law here at home?

  24. Tim

I am not advising people what to do with their investments. What I am saying is that there are risks in speculating about these things. Oil could go up but if the world goes into a depression it also could be selling for $20 a barrel.

Most of those reports about troop movements are from conspiracy sites but there always has been troop movements in the United States. And yeah they are creating a North American Command for any national emergency response. That does not mean that troops are going to start rounding up fellow Americans.

Believe me when the riots start (and they will) people better hope that their are assets in place to restore civil order. The military is not our enemy they are for the most part conservative and they probably have a higher percentage of Christians than our general population. At least for now.

  25. Don,

    Us donkey’s kick…just try it.

I look forward to your replies to Tim, interesting post Tim.

I’m in awe of how the Biblical end times are portrayed and what we are seeing around the world today. Exciting times indeed.

  26. Yeah Don,

    That’s true also.

When I was driving a commercial vehicle (non-military), I trucked some very hardcore military equipment to some odd (non-military base) places in the U.S….and that was in the 1990’s, so yeah, military equipment (and probably troop) movement within the U.S. isn’t something new.

  27. I have a feeling that something catastrophic is going to happen in the next few years. I have a feeling it will be a sudden event not a long drawn out proccess. Idk what it is but I feel it’s coming and idk if this sounds weird but I feel it’s evil or demonic. It feels like its a satanic planned event. K ill stop with the crazy talk now, I just pray we are ready for it.

  28. Tim,

The longer we allow Iran and N.Korea to develop their nuclear weapons programs the more an EMP against this nation is likely. A nuclear EMP is not out of the question coming from China, Pakistan or Russia either because we will never know who pulled it off. There is even a ten percent chance of solar EMP in the next couple of years. So the feeling that something catastrophic is going to happen makes sense. Within the next few years it is probably more likely than not.

  29. Don,

I find it interesting that you said “allow” Iran & N. Korea.
I know it is just words…but I am of the opinion that the U.S. time of policing the world to ensure safety is about over.

  30. Jim,

I have sensed similar things…I don’t know what or when it will be…but it is imminent.

I think a lot of people who come to Don’s blog and anyone who sincerely loves the Lord (in the world) have these senses.

  31. Don, sorry for the Joel Osteen post under anonymous, forgot to type in my name and e-mail when i responded. Cost of attendance was $19 or $20 a ticket.

  32. Perceptive you should say that, David- re: sense of something catastrophic on the verge of happening… I started getting “pings” to that effect starting in 2008 as we started seeing an increase of natural disasters/earthquakes. Since then they’ve come closer together & increased in strength, along with increased floods & this Spring’s tornado activity was staggering. As the Bible warned, watch the signs like birth pangs of a woman in labor… Closer & closer, intensity increasing… My sense is we will see Jesus return VERY soon! As in the Rapture of the Church. I’m sensing its too close to call if there will be a solar or manmade EMP- but my gut tells me its gonna happen like in the next year…. I’m not afraid. I love the Lord, & if I perish, I perish. I know whom I belong to. 🙂

  33. The US is not the world, and the Rapture is not directly related to an EMP or events in the US.

All this speculation that something earth shaking is going to happen this year has been said every year by those that are expecting something to happen real soon. That does not mean anything noteworthy will happen. The truth is that if feelings were reliable everyone would hit the lottery.

  34. I agree Don. But nonetheless, signs are happening all around us, as a “wakeup call” to make people THINK… Are we really “secure” in our bank accounts? Are we “secure” in our economy? Where IS security? Why, its in FAITH in Jesus Christ. BTW, my intuition has been right 3 times in a row picking the winners in recent Kentucky Derbies & the Belmont Stakes. The last one had 25 to 1 odds. Of course, I did not bet. But it makes me wonder bout my “intuition”…lol!

  35. At the track I have had five winners in a row and I also have had well over 10 losers in a row. 😥 Nobody remembers the losers in a row. I suppose the horses have no say in the matter.

Anyone want a winner, bet on enduring in Christ until the end no matter what happens here on earth? My point is that feeling about the future are like statistics some by chance are going to come true and some will not. The timing of the Rapture based on current events are 0 for 100 and are a bad bet.

All we are told that is reliable is what is said in scripture.

Other than that the very best we can do about predicting future events is to make informed educated guesses.

  36. In my study of Revelation I noticed a parallel of things that are happening today – wars and violence, famine and drought, earthquakes with those mentioned in Revelation 7 as the great scroll was opened.

Perhaps, and I do say perhaps – the things that have come upon the world recently are a harbinger, a mini-taste of things to come — perhaps our loving God is giving all those who are not yet saved one last opportunity to repent before the great scroll IS opened and the Four Horsemen ride.

I would appreciate reading your thoughts.

  37. Haha- I haven’t had any losers yet. That’s why I never bet money! 😉
John 14:3 says “And if I go & prepare a place for you, I will come again & take you to Myself, that where I am you may be, also.” The Rapture (catching away) of the Church is the next prophesy left to be fufilled at the end of the Church Age, since there is no mention of the Church after the Tribulation period begins. Peter 3:9 says Jesus is not slow- only desiring that no one perish but come to repentance before the doors close for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. While no one knows exactly WHEN this takes place, as you pointed out, Don- we certainly are to WATCH & be ready, at any moment. Not to mention, spread the Good News, like you’re doing right here! 🙂

  38. Read my Revelation commentary (top bar) if you want my thoughts on this.

There is no reason to think that any of the Revelation scroll has been opened yet. There has always been wars, violence, famine, drought, and earthquakes on the earth. The four horseman will be the signs that the world has entered that period.

  39. Christine and Don,

When I say imminent, I think within 20 years…for some prophesies.

I consider the 6 day theory…I consider your (Don’s) spreadsheet on likely & projected fulfillment, I think it’s at least as good as any I’ve seen yet…I think what we are seeing today is at least setting some things up.

And these are unprecedented times. Not to mention the attitude of the world at large. Not just for the U.S…but the world.

And yes, there is a “feeling”…a “sense”…maybe like a dog that knows before an earthquake strike.

  40. Christine,

You are correct, the Rapture is the only prophetic event to be fulfilled to the Church. Therefore all the signs that Jesus mentioned in Matthew have nothing to do with the Church they are for Israel. So we are not to be looking for signs we are to be looking for the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

Having said that, Of course seeing seeing what is happening in the world and Israel can tell us that the time is growing shorter.

  41. David,

My dogs go crazy every-time something around here moves but I do not think that makes them reliable earthquake sound bites.

  42. Hmm, I thought science proved that dogs can detect earthquakes through their senses…then again, it is science we are talking about here…and man’s scientific absolutes have proven that there are no absolutes…never mind.

I was just trying to use an analogy.

  43. I was funning you, but I think the Chinese just proved that dog’s cannot predict earthquakes. they cannot even predict that they will be a menu item.

  44. You misunderstood – I did not say the scroll had been opened – on the contrary – IT HAS NOT. I said that from all the current events PERHAPS this is a harbinger, a foreshadowing of things to come. Knowing we serve a loving God – it seems that PERHAPS he is showing man what will happen in the future WHEN the four horsemen are released upon the earth, in order that man will repent and be saved from the wrath to come.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Yes – we have had earthquakes – but none that I remember like the one in Japan. Wars and violence, YES – but not like has happened this Arab Spring,2011. Drought and famine Yes, but not on this scale since perhaps the Dust Bowl Days.

That and that alone was my observation – NOT that I felt the horsemen had mounted and begun to ride.

  45. Ali,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I agree. I also agree that the four horsemen are for that purpose.

  46. Ali ,
You mentioned the Dust Bowl Days. I live in Wichita,Kansas and we’ve had over 38 days of triple
digit temperatures since the beginning of summer ( June 21st) . This is the hottest summer here
since the Dust Bowl Days. I have no idea if it has any prophetic meaning. The 2012 election may
tell us where we are going as a country. Unfortunately too many American Christians have been
led to believe things cannot get ” REALLY BAD or CATASTROPHIC” until after the rapture. There
is no Biblicial basis for such a belief. God may use what’s coming before the rapture to try to
get people’s attention that HE is the only security that exists. A pastor friend of mine tells
people : it’s hell without Jesus , your choice. BLESSINGS!!!!!

  47. Don,

I believe this is on topic for this article.

Do you see this coming September with the Arabs wanting declared statehood in Palestine as a precursor to a BIG war with Israel ?

If the Muslims get declared statehood, they will most likely feel more justified in their continuance to try to oust Israel (via their rockets, etc) out of the land.

If they don’t get statehood, they are likely to take it as a slap in the face and are likely to think they must up the rocket count to destroy Israel.

Either way, the rocket attacks will continue and probably get worse…no peace deal will be reached…and even if it were reached, of course, wouldn’t last with the “religion of peace”.

Seems like Israel is again to the decision time.

Am I reading too much into this ?

  48. What a good point to bring up, David- I think increasing hostilities at Israel is one more indicator how tensions are building to further isolate & “blame” Israel for there not being an Arab state. Once enough Muslim countries are incited to surround Israel & attack them en masse- do you think any help will be forth coming from the Obama Admin.? I think unlikely- what with our defense budget woes. Makes me think tho, how phrophetic this situation is for Israel- so that at some point she has no one to turn to for security except God…. Who WILL come to their rescue, to preserve His Holy people & land…. I’m just batting some thoughts around here. 🙂

  49. David,

I really do not see the “big war” coming with Israel coming this September, but who really known how it will all shake out in the near term? I do not think that terrorists need any additional motivation to attack Israel so if they get some it will not change the situation much. I think Iran is actually controlling those controlling the rockets.

Does Israel take Iran’s nuclear capabilities out and then she is attacked by Iran’s proxies so Israel take them out as well? Or does Israel try to stall until hopefully Obama is replaced?

I am leaning toward the second scenario as long as it looks like Obama can be defeated. Nevertheless, most of the world is now a tinderbox and anything can now happen especially if there is an economic collapse and America becomes bound in its own domestic problems at home.

  50. Don,

    I was saying…

The possibility of this being a ‘precursor’, because regardless, it will lead to more (maybe much more) attacks on Israel and Israel is only going to take so much before they, in turn, get more aggressive.

I guess it’s just more wait and see…maybe Obama pending like you said.

  51. I also think Psalm 83 may be close: The Palestinians may see the unrest in Israel as an opportunity to strike – especially with the US and Europe tied up in domestic woes.

  52. Yeah, but probably not yet, unless Assad attacks Israel to try to save himself but that seems kind of suicidal. This Arab Spring thing will probably play out before there is any united Arab action like Psalm 83, and oh yeah, Iran has to get out of the picture.

  53. i was watching 10,000 bc yesterday and it showed how the cave men killed animals and such but then i remembered reading in the bible that humanity is only 6,000 years old. this bothered me for a long time, do you know anything about this don?

  54. Dr. Rick Oliver has a good explanation on Radiofreechurch (on the web) of how scientists come up with this stuff and pass it off as “science.”

Basically, the they take a vote on what they “think” or “speculate” what took place. Then, a statement is issued that “a consensus of scientist believe that…” No one observed it, and they have no facts. It is just a majority vote on which fairytale they like best.

  55. Don

I heard some information about the Roswell incident will be or was released this year. Any comments on what you think about it? Was it all a hoax or are they hiding something?

  56. Jim,

The best information I read on it claims that the people found from this crashed aircraft were human kids mutilated through genetic experiments. You might Google on that and see if you can find the article.

  57. Don,

I have read your praise for Dave Hunt’s teachings…are we talking the Dave Hunt from ‘The Berean Call’ ?

There seems to be more than one Christian Dave Hunt.

    Thank You in advance.

  58. ~David

Yes, it is the Dave Hunt from The Berean Call. When the Dave Hunt is a top author and teacher and one of the most well know people in Christianity it is not necessary to elaborate on which Dave Hunt it is that I am talking about. Now if I were talking about a less well known Dave Hunt that would be a different story.

For example when you say Chuck Smith (and you do quite often) are people asking you which of many thousands of Chuck Smiths in Christianity that you are referring to?

  59. Don,

I had no idea that Dave Hunt is a top author and teacher, I know nothing about him, that’s why I asked, so I could be sure I’m getting the right guy.

Sounds like I should know him but I don’t.

I said Chuck Smith, from Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, Ca. before a few times, but it seems that your readers already knew of him by their comments.

    Pardon my ignorance please.

  60. Most readers here know of Dave Hunt as well. You really need to read his stuff David. He is one of the top defenders of the true faith of our time.

  61. David ,
Dave Hunt has had a close association with Chuck Smith and Chuck Missler for quite a few years.

  62. I saw that, also. Isiah 17:1 seems quite close.

I think Damascus is 35 miles from Israel.

  64. Yeah, and Putin wants to form a new union with the old Soviet Union states. I think we should expect the stage to get set up for Bible prophecy to literally be fulfilled if everything is to be fulfilled by the end of the 6th day (2030-2035). Of course the Psalm 83 war and the destruction of Damascus could be fulfilled as soon as a few months from now.

  65. Bob From Texas,

Thank you once again for another great link, I appreciate and use the links you’ve shown me.

    Don,

Yeah, all these headlines are exciting to me in that Biblical prophecy is on the verge of being fulfilled right before our eye’s. And again, I don’t mean that in a sadistic way, I don’t get any pleasure in seeing the disasters and pain that the world is going to face.

If that were to happen in the next few days, the “Occupy” group would likely go “berserko” against the Israelis.

I wonder if Assad sees that as a way out of his quandary? What can we expect when and if that happens?
