Koenig’s perspectives on Bible prophecy and world issues Oct 2012

So far the big October surprise has been Obama’s first debate performance. Romney now has half of chance of winning this thing unless Obama has other October surprises coming that gets people’s mind off of his lackluster debate performance.

So why the poor performance by Obama? It can’t be because he was not thoroughly coached by his people for this debate, we know that he was. That allows about two possibilities.

He either does not have the intellectual capability to debate the real issues or he has a medical problem. I think it is not the first possibility because he was able to debate people before, so it probably is the second. Who knows what legal drug or drugs he may have been on that might have effected his thinking and judgment? That is a scary thought, because if he needs a teleprompter with scripted words to communicate world and national issues, our nation is not in good hands. If there is no truth to Obama having a medical problem then why is it that Obama has never released his medical records like other presidents have done?

It’s not just the debate. He obviously has been out of touch with current events and issues in his own administration. There seems to be a long history of cover-ups, falsehoods, and lies. Obviously, the major media has not, and will not, do their job to vet him as they ought. Therefore, Americans ought to wonder why they should reelect someone to office that cannot tell the truth or hold a coherent conversation without a teleprompter.

In the Biden Ryan debate. Joe Biden acted out Crazy Joe like usual. Everyone but Crazy Joe knows that he is a mental case. People are not going to change their vote because of the antics of Crazy Joe. He should be the Joker in his own cartoon series. Then he might make a little money before they put him in that white padded private room.

For the last few months I have said that Israel will probably strike Iran before the American election. Then a little more than a week ago Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu gave a talk at the UN saying that a red line is approaching by Spring or Summer. That hardly sounds like a person that is going to order an airstrike in October. It sounds like someone who is trying to convince the world to only give Iran until Spring to stop their nuclear weapons program. Add to that the fact that Netanyahu said that he is going to call for early elections this Winter. That also suggests that he is not planning to take any action against Iran this Fall.

Then after that, early this week, rumors started flying that intelligence has new information that Iran is already crossing the red line given by Israel. So, some are now saying that Israel and the US are planning a limited airstrike before the end of the month.

With this conflicting information who really knows what will take place? With Obama falling in the polls he might want to do something militarily in October, to get a bump. But, others like WND are saying Obama has arranged an October surprise deal with Iran. They claim Iran will announce the stopping of their nuclear enrichment program this month. Of course, even it that turns out to be true, who in their right mind would believe that Iran would actually follow through on doing that?

Even so, we do have many Americans that are totally out of their mind. How many times have the liberals been rope-a-doped by North Korea? And how else can you explain Obama and the socialists being in power? Therefore, the crazies could give Obama that bump he needs, if Iran made such an announcement.

Another thought worth considering, is that with Romney gaining in the polls, perhaps Israel would not want to do anything to help get Obama reelected. So perhaps Israel will not want to do a joint airstrike with the US now, if it would help get Obama reelected. Having Obama in office for another term would not be in the long-term best interest of Israel. A forced peace deal from Obama after the election, could be as grave a threat to Israel than is Iran.

I am only sure of one thing. There will be plenty of speculation coming from all directions. My own conjecture is that any strike on Iran by Israel would have very risky consequences to Israel and the world, so I do not think Israeli initiated military action against Iran will be taken. The leaders of Israel believe that the world will act on Iran. Having said that, Iran through its proxies might actually set the timing of any war. I think it is more than likely for the Twelver’s running Iran to take some action against Israel if civil unrest spreads to Iran.

The latest rumors are that Turkey may help the resistance in Iran, so we have to watch that. Right now, Obama probably could get the biggest bump in the polls if unrest spread in Iran and Obama at least gave lip service to the Iranian resistance. Perhaps they are working on it.

Having said all that, I would not put it past Obama to do something militarily in the world this month. but if he is going to do something he is just about out of time. When we get to where there is only a week or two left before the election, it could be too late for Obama to get that bump he needs because the consequences of his actions probably would not be fully understood and it would also seem very contrived (like the sudden fall in unemployment numbers). Even a surprise attack against America might not work in Obama’s favor before the election, if it looked like a weak Obama administration invited the attack.

I have recently said, that if Obama loses this election, it will only be because he gave it away. Obama seemed unbeatable a few weeks ago and now it is anyone’s guess. The only person Obama can blame for that is himself.

——————————————————————————————————————————

The main stream media is spinning the truth and doing cover-ups like usual. They are all-in for Obama. There is plenty of disinformation to spin. Government is lying about the unemployment numbers. Unemployment is as high as it was before the Obama stimulus actions. Just check the total number of people fully employed in this nation. There are fewer people fully employed than three years ago and our population has risen by millions.

Government is also lying about inflation. The real rate of inflation is about 8 percent. Are your wages and cost of living increases keeping up? Last that I heard, wages were still falling and the median net worth of Americans fell about forty percent since Obama took office. You cannot get falling unemployment rates with reasonable paying jobs when there is a GNP rise of one percent a year and inflation is rising faster than that. It simply cannot happen, it is all a sham. So where are these millions of people that were removed from the unemployment rolls? Some are on some kind of state welfare, some retired early because they could not find a job, some went on disability because they could not find a job and some went back to the country they came from because they cannot find a job here.

All the hype you hear by government and media with the manipulated data that suggests signs of a recovery are lies.  Six trillion dollars were added to our national debt mostly to stimulate the economy over the last four years and we have not had any recovery and are just much further in debt. Most of that money was used to pay the yearly deficit shortfalls, bail out the banks, bail out loans, and pay unemployment benefits. Now they are planning more of the same, expecting different results. Has Obama suggested anything that would lead anyone to believe that economic growth will get any better? Anyone with a brain knows that more regulations, rising costs of medical care, rising taxes, rising debt, and more big government will only make things worse next year.

The IMF continues to warn that the global economy is slowing down. Europe is already in recession. Their debt problem may be on hold for a few months but people are now rioting in the streets over austerity measures and the far right is rising. They will get new concessions. After that, a new default crisis will certainly be in tomorrows headlines and the Germans bailing everyone out will go ballistic.

Some well-known people in finance are saying that America is actually already back into a recession (not that we really ever got out of it when adjusted for inflation). Durable good orders and falling freight shipments would seem to verify that America is in recession right now. Even power consumption is falling as if manufacturing and business is slowing down. Federal Express is now laying people off and the US Postal Service has been defaulting on its debts. That hardly sounds like a recovery is underway. I guess you will not hear the truth until after the election and then they will blame the new recession on Republicans that do not want to increase taxes.

The economy is so soft that the Federal Reserve has turned on the printing presses like never before. They are now buying almost all of America’s debt to keep interest rates artificially low. That robs the saver of any reasonable return on his investment. Pension funds and other investment funds are dependent on receiving reasonable interest rates on their investments. This is making the underfunded pension funds even worse than they already are.

If and when the Fed stops the printing, the interest rates on Treasuries will shoot up and add to our yearly national deficit and national debt. Then, welcome to Greece. If on the other hand, the Fed just keeps printing money, it is going to devalue the dollar and cause the prices of everything to go up. Then, welcome to Argentina. In other words, as long as the Federal Reserve Bank continues to just create more dollars, Americans will continue to grow poorer through stagnant or falling income and rising prices on everything.

Even with the almost interest free money, the banks are not using it to expand the economy. They are using this money to gamble in the derivative markets. Derivatives are nothing but side bets, and the side bets made are many times all the real wealth in the world. The derivatives market is like a casino where big rollers gamble with money that they cannot cover if they lose. Most of those in derivatives can only cover a few percent of their bets. The largest banks in the world are so over-leveraged betting on derivatives that if they just lose a few percent of their worth, they will go bankrupt and fold. Since the big financial institutions are now all interlinked, the failure of one big bank or brokerage would cause others holding side bets not to get paid and they all could come crashing down in a domino effect. It almost happened in 2008. That was the real reason for the trillion-dollar bail-out and panic. Nothing has changed for the better since then. In fact, a crash is much more likely now.

There will not be enough money in the world to bail them out during the next financial panic that could come at any time. Those that have investments in these institutions will lose everything. Keep in mind that just about all investment funds, retirement funds, and insurance companies would go under. There are many things that could cause this whole house of card to come crashing down. A panic where people make a run on banks, nations that stop paying their debts, or even a simple cyber attack can bring this house of cards down.

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

The Nobel Peace Prize committee has been consistently wrong in their choice of a worthy peace prize recipient. This year the Nobel Peace Prize is going to Europe. Therefore, you probably can be pretty sure that war is on their horizon. Just think of it, Islam is rising in Europe and so are the Far Right nationalists. If you do not get that remark, just see what is happening in Greece and other places where the natives are looking for scapegoats for the problems they created themselves. All was fine in Fabian Socialism with its multiculturalism until it was time to pay the bills. Now many want Fascism and all the foreigners that they invited in to leave. Meanwhile, in old former Communist states like Czechoslovakia, Communism is rising again and a pro Russian billionaire friend of Putin won the election and will be taking over George.

Do they think just giving a peace prize is going to bring peace in Europe? When they picked Obama for the Peace Prize, he had never actually did anything to deserve it. They thought if they just gave him the Prize Peace, peace would come. These people in Norway must have watched “Field of Dreams” once too often. They now think fantasy is reality. Just build the field or give the Peace Prize and what you wish for just becomes reality. Someone needs to tell these Norwegians that the world is real, and full of real trolls, and not just those harmless wooden images found in their overpriced Norwegian shops. Just give Europe a Nobel Peace Prize and peace will come? Sure! I am betting the exact opposite will come, and that it will come very soon.

_____________________________________________________________________________

The word is out that Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, ordered the strike on Bin Laden and Obama had nothing to do with it, in spite of his lies. After twice being turned down by Obama for a hit, they kept him out of the loop the third time. Obama first found out about the operation that was already underway on the Golf course. Yet, this phony makes a big show about what he did to get Bin Laden. Mr. macho man! The truth says otherwise. Obama had no intention of ever taking on the risk of failure.

Speaking about Leon Panetta, he is warning that we are about to be attacked via cyber warfare. He says it could be devastating to this nation when it happens. He calls it a coming Pearl Harbor. I totally agree with him and wrote my own article on the cyber attack threat a few months ago. I am not one for giving the federal government a lot of additional powers, but keep in mind that it is their job to provide for the common defense of these United States of America. I find it rather strange that the Republicans are the ones opposing cyber security because they think it will cost big businesses too much money. What will it cost our country when the lights go out, or the thousands of other critical infrastructure problems that hacked networked computers can cause?

Many of our own leaders are living in some Fantasyland in their false security. Any determined enemy with access to computers and the Internet with some trained hackers can take a good part of our infrastructure down. Americans seem to be willfully ignorant, and this could bring about their demise. Microsoft has the best computer experts in the world and they continually have to patch software vulnerabilities. I have XP and it has needed security patches for over half of a decade with no end to the security vulnerabilities in sight. There are no computer systems that cannot be hacked and if they are linked to the Internet, they can be an easy target.

I would never touch an online bank. Any computer and any program on any computer can be hacked. That includes this website and any other website. People in this country had better wake up. Our enemies are not training thousands of hackers to play  computer games with us. Even the top security people in the world that write the virus blocking software have said it is only a matter of a year or two before there is a major cyber attack on our country. We cannot make our systems totally secure, but we can do a lot to make them more secure and to build in redundancy.

We also can tell nations that if they attack our infrastructure using cyber warfare it is an act of war, because it certainly will have war like consequences to the people of this nation. Republicans need to get their head out of their butt on this issue of cyber security and Democrats need to get their head out of their butt on the issue of EMP vulnerabilities. We are rapidly running out of time. If the politicians in Washington keep fiddling, America could burn.

  1. Don,

I am preparing for the worst and learning some basic survival lessons in preperation and field medical issues. I’m also trying to learn how to use a compass. My main goal will be to get my family out of the city and to my parents rural farm in a worst case senario. A trip of about 125 miles. As you have done in several articles, I would advise everyone to take small steps to have a Bible and some food, water, medical supplies, and protection available. No harm in being prepared, and info on the subject is abundant. It will not cost alot of money either. At least have a plan and discuss it with your spouse in case you are not together when (if) this happens. Thanks, Don, again for another relevant article. Also, have you heard anything about the gov’t buying up like a billion rounds of ammo and dehydrated food (meals)? I’m curious if this is true. If so, that seems like a lot of bullets…enough to use on every American 4 times over. I read they were hollow point bullets, and that the military does not use that type of ammo for target practice. Since you were in the military for several years, I would like to know your thoughts on this as well. It seems the gov’t may know something we don’t.

  2. Hi Adam,

Yes, Homeland Security is procuring over a billion bullets over a number of years. Sounds like they are getting ready for any contingency to me. These bullets have nothing to do with the military. I supposed they would also want dehydrated food for the same reason.

The hollow points concern me more than the number of bullets. Homeland Security is planning to expand and if the existing and new hires do regular qualifying on the range that will take up quite a few of these bullets over the course of the rest of the decade. The bullets are not all hollow points but what they think they need hollow points for is a mystery to me.

It is obvious to me that many things can happen that will cause riots. Most of them I have written about. I think that anyone with a brain should be able to see this coming. I suppose that includes Homeland Security. Of course I am not saying that our own government could not become the problem in an unlawful administration. However, there is congressional oversight now, so the reasons for the large procurement must seem reasonable to Congress.

  3. Hello Don,

Enjoyed the article. I think your right on Israel. I think they will wait seeing that Romney has a chance, wont risk helping Obama be reelected. It still amazes me that there remain a large number of Obama followers that remain loyal. Could it be satanic delusion?

As far as the ammo purchase… There is an optimum storage shelf life for unused ammo. It is possible they were cycling out old ammo to surplus stores and such, and updated their inventory. The government does that periodically. Old ammo (even just a few years old) can present problems with misfires, etc. I can’t say for sure this is the case, but I do know, from having been in the Army, that they keep track of the age of ammunition.

    Thanks again,

    Rod in Oregon

  4. Don,
I think Obama’s poor debate performance can be due to the fact that over the past four years he has never been challenged. The main stream media are his lap dogs and just tow his line for him. Romney came at him and I think we seen what such a lack of substance that Obama really has. I think Israel will wait until after the election before they decide on a strike, that is unless Iran provokes them first. I think Israel is hoping for a Romney victory rather than see Obama get re-elected. Obama showed his true colors when he did not make time to meet with Netanyahu but had time for his merry-go-round on the talk show circuit. I believe that Obama has genuine disdain for Netanyahu and Israel. As for Iran, who knows what those nut cases will do. Although I believe that they want to throw the world into chaos to try to bring about the twelfth imam and all of that non-sense. I could see the Anti-Christ come into the scene and the Iranians see him as there twelfth man and then line up with the one world religion. I believe the US government are starting to build up there arms for the ensuing riots that will take place domestically when and if Obama loses the election. What say you?

  5. Hi Don,
I Love your web site and you always seem on top of the game. Thank God for men like you!!!
I work for a Power Company in the Midwest and we do take cyber warfare very serious here. We employ triple redundancy with all are Plants and operate in a closed loop system…That being said I’m sure an expert could possibly find a way in. Yes, it would be the next best thing to an EMP for our enemies. I think that Obama’s debate performance might be poor because he cannot remember all his LIES… As for Joe Biden your right the man is an absolute lunatic, arrogant, and disrespectful. I find it hard to believe that the people in this once great nation can accept the political atmosphere we now have.
    God Bless you

  6. I think a good question for Paul Ryan to have asked Joe is in what way has the Obama admin promoted independence of the American people? I would love to hear the answer! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING Obama has done has resulted or will result in Americans being dependent on somebody else. Whether it be his healthcare policies, fiscal policies, energy policies, foreign policy, downsizing the military, etc. they ALL result in a loss of freedom and choice to the American people.

  7. Speaking of arrogance and pride, my pastor opened my eyes a little this morning when he was speaking to our church. He spoke about 9/11, and that the senate majority leader made a speech the day after. He quoted Isaiah 9:10 in his speech, “The bricks have fallen down. But we will rebuild with hewn stones. The sycamores are cut down. But we will replace them with cedars.” John Edwards also used this same verse as the center of his speech on the third anniversary of 9/11. This verse is taken totally out of context as used in the speeches, but may be a prophetic statement for America in context. The people of Israel spoke that verse out pride and arrogance saying they could rebuild without God. You can go to Crossgates.org and click on media, then messages on demand, then on the RESET series for 10/14/2012 morning sermon if you are interested. Not long after Israel made that arrogant statement, they were conquered (the northern kingdom). Just food for thought about the pride and arrogance of this nation and our leaders. We have made a great effort to get God out of our culture, and our pride will be our downfall. I would be interested in any thoughts about this.

  8. Hello Don,

I have a question. I beleive that no matter who wins the election that there will be “race wars”. I think that the “global puppet masters” want the chaos that race wars will bring. My question is this: When all the “haves” have nothing left to pay the taxes that the “have nots” need to fund their dependency, who do the government sheeples think will support their welfare programs? I mean, whoa nellie! The implosion will be complete.

  9. Adam,

Your pastor obviously read “The Harbinger”. Leaders in this country have enough arrogance and pride to go around but “The Harbinger” makes claims that just are not true and the author distorts scripture and the facts. I suggest that you read David James book “The Harbinger Fact or Fiction”. It refutes “The Harbinger”. Here is a brief review.

    http://www.thebereancall.org/content/august-2012-harbinger-extra

And here is a more through review

    http://www.biblicalintegrity.org/blog/2012/04/26/harbinger-fact-fiction/

This other link gives many links on “The Harbinger” book.

    http://apprising.org/2012/07/19/jonathan-cahn-harbinger-of-discernment-gone-wild/

“The Harbinger” has caused a lot of mud slinging between ministries but only because some want to believe that some people like Cahn are finding hidden knowledge about America and that God is now using him to give special warnings to America so that America will repent. Other real biblical discernment scholars know that Cahn is really misapplying scripture and he is loose with the facts. He also is using the scriptures in a way that is totally alien to the historical grammatical method of Bible interpretation. This book further opens Pandora’s box for many out there to twist scripture to say whatever they want.

Anyway, don’t take my word. The best well established discernment ministries in the world are refuting “The Harbinger” and most of the sounder Christian ministries that are supporting the book real skill lies in broadcasting and hosting guests talking about Bible prophecy or Christian issues. In fact, their main arguments against the leading discernment ministries that have problems with this book are just emotional arguments that are founded on nothing scriptural. They seemed to have taken the Liberal route. They are just proving that they do not have the discernment to even call themselves discernment ministries.

In general, the book has legs because the sensationalists on TV, radio and the Internet that are always looking for something to hype, love it. Many are making money selling it.

Anyone can find many critiques on this book just by doing a Google search on something like “critiques on the harbinger”.

  10. Don, I’ll try to be as consise as I can, because several things from this outstanding article caught my attention. 1., to Adam deom MS, I agree about putting up supplies for whatever emergency comes up, but unless you are already in “the boonies” when SHTF, I honestly believe that there ain’t no way anyones gonna get there afterwards. I work in the Midwest for a large Police Department, and am involved with Emergency Management. The gridlock ALONE will be the death of a whole lot of people. 2., Regarding Israel VS Iran and the timing of when they get “the Bomb”, why does NO ONE ever take the fact that the ruling powers in Iran have, I’m sure, no problem in utilizing Taqquiya as a battle stratedgy(sp?)? Why is the entire world so willfully obtuse to this tactic? 3., regarding Leon Panetta, is he actually showing signs of a spine in talking out of turn to his Master? 4., Regarding the question of “why hollowpoints?”, that’s easy…LETHALITY. Those rounds are not made for practice…they are made to maim, neutralize, and kill. Nothing more.

  11. Hi Michael,

Unfortunately I totally agree with your first point.
I also Agree with your second point, they are using the Taqquiya strategy. I guess it goes against the nature of ostriches to believe that a “nice religion of peace” like Islam would ever use deception as a war strategy.
    3. Don’t know about Leon, maybe he don’t want a coming military tribunal to hang him on the gallows.
    4. You know your bullets. It only takes one good hit with one of those 40mm hollow points that they are buying to take someone out, but that might not be the case with more conventional bullets. The question is why do they believe they will need these bullets, and who might they expect to be using them on? My guess is that they are expecting massive civil breakdown for any number of reasons. Massive civil breakdown in the United States during this decade seems like a foregone conclusion to me.

  12. Michael Angelo, I agree if you live in a city when the disaster hits, it will be hard to get out. One great thing about living in MS is there are no major metro areas. The Jackson is by far the largest city with only about 300k population.

Don, I want to thank you for your honesty. My pastor did talk about The Harbinger, and I’m sure he has read it. I did not know that he was getting most of his sermon from that book, or I would not have made my last post. He did say he thought the Mayflower Compact was the covenant made with God. I’m not sure if the book states that or not. After reading the articles you linked, I see no need for me to read the book. Again, Don, I want to thank you for your site. I don’t want to be the “elect” the Bible talks about that is deceived. May God bless you, your family, and your ministry.

  13. Adam,

The book certainly implies that our forefathers made a covenant relationship with God even if it does not outright say that. That premises is nonsense. Only one nation has ever had a covenant relationship with God and that is Israel.

Thanks for your encouragement and blessing.

  14. Hi Don, and Adam…

I bought the book a few months back. Yeah.. I admit it… The book is very poorly written, redundant, and takes extreme liberty in it’s interpretation. The way it was written, as a “story”, was not effective. I was left with the impression that this guy is making money off of prophecy.. And it worked.. The author got a few bucks out of me.

The author presents a necessary message about America needing to turn back to God, but then uses scripture out of reference to drive home his point. And as Don said, the author implies that the early leaders of our nation made a covenant with God.. Which is an interesting argument considering the strange and outright un Christian views some of them had. At any rate, people are taking this guy’s book and regarding it as prophecy.

Thanks again for your work Don, and the comments of others…

    Have a great Monday tomorrow…

    Rod in Oregon

  15. Another great article, Don, thank you.
Just one little (and please excuse my pickiness but it had me confused for a few seconds) – Your first sentence on Israel and a possible military strike:
“For the last few months I have said that Israel will probably strike Israel before the American election.”
I assume you meant “Israel will probably strike Iran”…?

I’ve read “The Harbinger” and found it interesting but thanks for the links you’ve provided that give another view.

  16. Oh, I don’t know Don… The way Obama is treating Israel, maybe your typo was really prophetic… 😉

    Rod

  17. Morning Rod,

So your saying that Obama will get Israel to bomb Israel to become loved by the world. That is a Middle East solution the far left and Jewish appeasers will probably now kick around now that you brought it up. Stop giving them ideas. 😛

  18. LOL.. Good morning Don… I hope that twist gave you a morning chuckle… Any thoughts on the upcoming debate? I see one of CNN’s most biased will be the moderator.

    Rod 🙂

  19. Hi Rod,

And CNN also gets to pick the questions. The umpire works for Obama and the ball field is tilted toward the far left. If I was Romney I would ignore the questions and do an end run on the right and just tell the American people what they need to hear about the Obama led socialists and the evil democratic platform. I would also lambast CNN for questions that obviously will be right out of the left’s propaganda machine. In other words, there is no reason to play a crooked game by their rules. They are not going to invite Romney back anyway, and he can be sure that no matter what he says CNN will lie, cheat, and smirk.

  20. LOL, Indeed.. I was thinking that same thing.. I would ignore the questions, and point out the facts… Let the spinners spin, but at least speak the truth.

Maybe next time they will find someone more unbiased.. Like Chris Matthews…….. LOLOL

    Rod

  21. Hi Jake,

I only have dial-up so I cannot watch youtube videos. Maybe someone will else will watch it and comment on it. My position on the rapture can be found on the sidebar under top ten website articles

  22. FYI, there is a decent article on the Times of Israel website under the “Israel and Region” tab about a possible EMP attack on America and/or Israel by Iran. Much of the article has already be written about by Don on this site, but it is still a good read.

    God bless.

  23. It was an interesting video, but I felt he was confusing a few things, and reaching for his conclusions. The woman with the sun and moon and 12 stars, who gives birth to the Messiah, is Israel, yet he kept referring her as Virgo, the virgin. Doesn’t the constellation Virgo, in the Mazzaroth, refer to Mary? If the Virgin gives birth, she has a problem. He says this is a mid-trib sign, which he dates manages to date to September 2017. From this date, he predicts the rapture will occur in September or October in 2013. He places the beginning of the tribulation immediately after the rapture. Like Don, I think there has to be some time between these two events. He did employ some interesting astronomical graphics, but he hasn’t convinced me. That said, I’d be thrilled if he’s proven correct!

  24. Ugh!!! Another date setter! They never end or get it. The Rapture has no signs and the timing of it cannot be figured out. It is always imminent and the timing of it is set by the Father’s authority. Even Satan cannot not figure it out, and that is why Jesus comes as a thief for his Church.

These people are part of what I addressed in my last post. They claim to be experts on Bible prophecy but they know nothing. Those going beyond the scriptures for new revelation about the future are on very dangerous ground and they lead many astray and give Bible prophecy teachers a bad name in the world.

  25. re: financial panic

Don, you have a paragraph devoted to the “house of cards”. I am somewhat livid over my current 401K changing (without my consent, of course) the money market to “stable value”; I at least used this as an opportunity, within my company, to bring up the whole “house of cards”, but to no avail. Right now, I (ambassador to Christ) am simply ignored.

Now, if the retirement funds collapse, I’ve pretty much lost everything — as I’m sure we all are in the same boat. There is no way to escape it. Even a “run” is useless because it’s an IOU from the Fed, and that’s going nowhere, just like savings. I’m livid, but there’s nothing to do (gold is useless — what am I going to do? It’s not like they’re gonna roll up in a truck and dump it on my door). Otherwise, about all I would do we be to invest in my own business, but end times is not the climate for starting a business.

Granted, I tell most everyone that it all comes down to what is in your possession — strategic possessions for survival. A number on a piece of paper is meaningless.

Never heard about the ammo shelf life. Hmmmm.

  26. thanks guys, thats why i joined don’s site to get the correct information. But i do wonder why frank dimora has it on his site, he might be a little confused.

  27. Jake,

From what I seen on his site it seems his expertise is knowing how to link to the articles of others. I see nothing written by this “bibleprophecyman”. So why would anyone expect him to even know anything about Eschatology?

  28. Hello Don,

I have read some on “bible prophecy man’s” website… And saw two things in particular that really concerned me… He is a date setter and rapture predictor, as well as paranoia distributor. I also find it interesting that his entire “ministry” is to be “the watcher on the wall”, and thats how he makes his living. Well… One can “watch for His coming”, and still have a job. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but to many people out there give the Lord bad representation by this type of behavior. I think the date setters that also include, as Don has said, pagan “signs”, are not helping the Gospel message to be spread. And in fact, are deceiving many.

    Just my 2 cents worth..

    Thanks Don,

    Rod

  29. that is true don, i noticed the same thing. He usually writes the same things over and over again or just gets his info from other sites. But he is still one of the good guys id say so god bless him for trying.

  30. Hi Rod,

I guess he wrote a book where he says that Islam would take over Europe and the Antichrist would rise from there. Speaking as a Kraut he does not know the Krauts as I know the Krauts. They are not going to submit to Islam. 😆

  31. LOL.. Good point. I read this morning that Israel is rattling it’s saber saying “attacking Iran is a foregone conclusion”… It’s just a matter of when… I’m thinking they will wait until after the election.

Will you be watching the great debate tonight?

    Rod

  32. don, i was wondering whats going to happen to the people who sinned before jesus died on the cross? i mean they died as sinners, and those that committed murder how will they escape judgement? i was also wondering what about the people who are muslims or hindu that die now at this present time before the message gets out to them in the tribulation?

  33. Rod,

I won’t be watching the debates because I do not have TV reception (that might change one of these days). I will read the reports on the debate on the Internet afterward.

  34. Jake,

We all die as sinners. If we were not sinners we would never die. But, those that believe in God’s righteousness to save them from their sins, even though they die, they still will live.

Jesus paid the price for all sin, past, present, and future. For by one man (Adam) sin came into the world all died, and by one man’s obedience (the second Adam)the price of sin was paid for and all can be made alive.

So, it obvious that those that believed in God’s religiousness to redeem man like Abraham, will be saved by their faith in God. That includes everyone from Adam until eternity.

Don’t be confused though, I am not saying that all who believe God are part of the Bride of Christ. The Bride are people that have faith in the Groom. The bride are those born from above that are indwelt with the Holy Spirit. The bride are those that trust in Jesus from Pentecost until the wedding in Heaven.

Even so, many others will be saved. Not all in the Kingdom of God will be the Queen that will rule and reign with Jesus.

As, for those in bondage to some world religion. I think God is consistent and just. One of the reasons Jesus died and descended into Hades was to free some bound in Hades from even before the flood. I think He will also in some way reveal Himself to souls hoping in salvation from a righteous God since then.

However, I am not saying that these souls will be part of the spiritual bride of Christ. One must have faith in the Groom before the marriage takes place to become part of the Bride. Nevertheless, there will also be saved people after the wedding that will not be part of the Bride or be Jews in the millennial Kingdom.

Anything more just gets into conjecture and people will differ by what scripture they like to emphasize, but don’t worry, God is just. He is not going to lose any that He appointed for eternal life from before the foundations of the world.

  35. I watched the debate last night. Obama did come out feisty as planned, I was waiting for the fists to start flying. All in all Obama was just spitting out the same old rhetoric from four years ago. I think Romney did a good job attacking Barry’s record. What had me concerned the most is all of the twitter responses of people saying that they are going to assassinate Romney if he wins. We don’t hear that being reported in the main stream media I found it on the drudge report. Could you imagine the uproar if all of those tweets were directed at Obama! This falls right in line to my theory that there will be massive riots on a scale the US had never seen before if Romney gets elected. I think the government is preparing for this contingency per the large amount of ammo being purchased. Could get mighty hairy in the coming weeks. What say you Don?

  36. Nathan,

Many are flat out saying they will riot if Romney wins and I suppose some will. Like I have said before we have not had such division in this country since the Civil War. The black government dependents hate against whites is already leading to punk violence against whites. I think we have seen nothing yet. I would not want to have to travel alone through black big city neighborhoods. With baiters promoting this, things can get out of control real fast. Also keep in mind that whites are only going to allow themselves to be the victims for so long. People that want violence will bring violence on their own head.

  37. Are you all aware that our credit rating was downgraded again? I didn’t hear about it until recently. The media was covering the killing of the ambassador and ignored this little fact.

  38. Jim,

Nobody is going to buy much of our debt anymore anyway. That is why our Federal Reserve just buys up our debt with money that they create with a few keystrokes. If they ever stopped, interest rates would be much higher. Of course what they are doing just assures a future financial crises.

  39. Don,

Any ideas on where to put/take our “savings”?

I have only marginal investment in the way of survival items and I’ve been only incrementally working that activity. We continue to sponsor a missionary and various charities (which we monitor) – at least that investment is quite fruitful.

I guess I’m just going to go day to day and ride this ride until…

  40. Craig,

I thought we have been through this before. I am not a financial adviser but I know that tangibles will keep some value. I think land is a good long term investment if you can grow something on it. Land will remain a good investment as long as the population of the world keeps growing because they are not making any more.

God says put your savings in heaven because we are not guaranteed anything here.

  41. i just heard hollande of the eu say ” the eu crises is over” really?? people are eating out of trash cans and riots all over. This guy is living a delusion.

  42. Read the post and all of the comments. Truly appreciate that noone tried to make comments about doctrine. Whewww…Thank you. I am very concerned about the tension in black people. There are many of them in our area. Christians shine like light in the darkness. We have onstar on the car. Last week my phone was not working properly and I would not leave the house until it was working. I always have mace with me in the car. This is my life but the Lord is with me. I support the deployed troops, buy what we need for our household and also I am stocking very basic things. Doing all three takes a lot of wisdom, planning and thriftiness.
My comment to Craig is that you should buy an inexpensive and very large zipper type plastic bag and at least put clean cups and water containers in that. If there were a water shortage you would not have extra water to wash out water bottles and pitchers. You can live without a steak but not without water.

  43. Don,

Ack, thanks. Yeah, we’ve been down a few of these topicals before. I am out of ideas on a number of these, other than what’s been discussed. I figure it’s good to check in from time to time and see if anybody has any other / new thoughts.

Rosebud: I’ve got a manual well pump and the water therein is good (just a little hard). I’ve got some [one time use] filters, just in case, but nothing long term. Presuming it stays good, I am sitting on a gold mine that would be shared with the neighborhood. That’s probably getting off topic (although, this is the monthly perspectives blog).

As for land, I’m sort of banking on my neighbors pulling together. The big land issue is that I either move or sit tight where I’m at (you can’t really have land that is geographically disperse).

All of which is getting off topic. I guess I’m just not quite settled with the idea that the savings will just be, poof, worthless. I heard a story, in Germany during the first two WWs, where somewhat brought a wheel-barrel full of cash, only to have the wheel-barrel stolen and the cash left behind. Deep breath. That’s scary.

As for the race baiting — “those looking for violence will find it on their head”. People never learn, do they?

  44. Don,

It appears that a significant portion of commentators on your site are Canadian – or Americans who now live in Canada. Any idea why that is?

My prediction for the election of the POTUS is…. Obama!
WHy? becasue it blows my mind that after 4 years of this guy… and all the dirt that is out there on the man…. HE IS STILL (at the very least) running neck and neck with M.R.

  45. Al,

About ten percent of English speaking people in North America are Canadians and that probably is about the same representation of those that comment on this blog. So I do not think Canadians are all that over represented here.
