The spirit of antichrist and Christian dominionism is alive and well in America.

One of the things I deal with almost everyday are trends in the world and the church and how it all relates to Bible prophecy. I try to be balanced and not join with all those Christians on the fringe who are convinced that there is some Satanic elitist conspiracy to immediately thrust the Antichrist upon us all and fulfill their fantasy of the world ending this decade. The spirit of antichrist is already alive and well in America but the Antichrist figure of Bible prophecy is not coming as soon as some seem to think.

I just do not see the evidence for this imminent Antichrist like some think they do. People thought they had the evidence many times in history. Just in this generation we have had the second coming expectations of the late 1980’s the late 1990’s and now the 2012 cult. The biblical evidence for those prior periods where actually stronger than any evidence presented by the 2012 cult of today. Their claims are subjective at best and they use one subjective theory to support other subjective theory. It becomes circular reasoning and it is not Bible based it really is mostly pagan based suppositions.

With all the Christians in the world that are in every organization you would think that someone could expose this vast conspiracy to take over the world and present it to us in a way that will lead most Christians to believe them. The truth is that if we had such proof we could prevent it from taking place but they never come up with anything worth taking to court. The truth of the matter is that conspiracy teachers are all over the board. They agree on very little other than that there are Satanic initiated conspiracies. Well we already know that there are conspiracies against the sons of light but He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world. One thing that is notable is that most of these conspiracy people are always on the Christian fringe. Most either fellowship nowhere at all or else in small conspiracy minded cells.

The reason many of these are on the fringe of Christianity is because almost everything they build is off the foundation. They have left the foundations of the prophets and the Apostles and are in some off site lab trying to figure out God’s timing and His message about end time events through the actions of world elite bankers, analytical methods and through man’s own reasoning.

They say, lets measure the distance from the Temple to somewhere else on earth for that will reveal hidden knowledge, or lets measure the Pyramid to figure out the time of end time events, or lets look for hidden codes in the Bible to predict the future, or lets even say the Spirit put in the people of Israel in Ezekiel Chapter 37 was already fulfilled even though Israel’s people today are still filled with an antichrist spirit.

The latest antichrist expectation for the over excited is that some Mahdi will come out of well or a Lord Maitreya figure will come fulfilling the expectations of all Religions. Well I have news for Benjamin Creme and his Lord Maitreya. People have been waiting to see your Lord Maitreya appear for quite some time now. Remember, your followers were putting full page adds in national newspaper about his soon appearing several decades ago. So I guess the Lord Maitreya forgot to show up, or did he just fall asleep?

Don’t expect any Mahdi to pop out of a well either and lead Islam to take over the world. That is just another pagan fantasy. There are going to be many disappointed among the 2012 end of the world fanatics when they can find no Mahdi to fight.

Through my own experiences spanning four decades of  following the claims of self anointed prophets and writers with claimed new understandings I now get a little weary of it all. I could fill a dump truck with books written by Christian authors about Bible prophecy that they were ill advised to write. For example, 88 Reasons why the Lord would return in 1988, or Racing toward Judgment, or Hidden Prophecies in the Psalms (that make each chapter in the Psalms fit something that happened in the same year as the chapter number in the twenty century – what a crock), or Revelation 2000, or Armageddon Appointment with Destiny, etc. Now we have the  2012 new crop of useless books and the presumptions TV and radio teachers and false prophets where “Christians” hang on their every word. The reality is that Christians are just wasting their time with most of this stuff. These self appointed prophets and writers have no more knowledge about end times than anyone else. They just know how to write books that will appeal to those looking for a new special revelation.

The Rapture, and the tribulation with its Antichrist is going to happen in God’s timing and I seriously doubt that anyone can possibly know that it will happen in this decade in spite of those teaching this with best intentions.

The end of the worlder’s “Christians” are one side of the coin, on the other side are the leaders in Christianity that are increasingly being yoked with unbelievers in the world. Somehow they think they will make Christianity popular and something to be desired by the world. So they teach a flesh message that pleases the world of flesh still dead in their sins.

They really are soft and sometimes hard dominionists. We have people like Rick Warren and Joel Olsteen adopting the methods of the world because worldly techniques produce worldly measures of success. Nevermind, that there is no gospel of Jesus Christ ever given in all their methodologies and feel good messages. Now we have others joining this “celibate humanity bandwagon”. Forcus on the family seem to be going that way now that they got rid of Dr. Dobbson, as are many others.

Lets be clear. Jesus did not tell us to become like the world and He did not tell us to stop telling the world that people are dead in sin. People still need His salvation. Jesus did not say you can stay in your religion because all religions reflect God. Jesus said, He is the door to God and  nobody comes to the Father except through Him. The gospel is not telling the world they can become prosperous if they practice biblical concepts or humanism. The gospel is not about gaining worldly success and getting your best life now or some purpose driven life for people still dead in their sins. A gospel without a gospel of dying to self and of obtaining spiritual salvation through Jesus Christ is worthless. Those “Christians” that give the illusion that they are ambassadors for Christ without a gospel of salvation are apparently working for a different Kingdom.

The sad state of Christianity in America is evident when a supposed mostly Christian nation freely elects an administration that is hostile toward the teachings of Christ. So now these American “Christians” have been hit in the pocket book because the nation is under judgment so they wag God and country and think the nation will become prosperous again if they just change the leadership. So now it looks like these “Christians” will go from one extreme to another. They will go from electing someone who signs laws and picks aids that are hostile to Christians to wanting to elect someone that believes Word of Faith presumptuous false prophets give messages from God. So will electing dominionst or Christian cult influenced leaders solve the sin problem in the Untied States or will it just further divide the people?  Until “Christians” actually become Christians in this nation and live like Christians and work to convert the lost in this nation, America will remain under judgment and delusion.

The spirit of the antichrist is always within those not living for Christ and it will destroy this nation long before the Antichrist figure of Bible prophecy ever appears in the scene unless America repents and seeks the healing that can only be found in a nation that is actually following Christ.

Is it a Islamic Antichrist, Western Antichrist or an Alien deception? The question might be solved in the big prophetic picture.

No Gravatar

Many people are interested in things to come in these last days but some say it is a waste of time to teach on these things at all since interpretations of bible prophecy can be somewhat subjective. However, I assure you that if the Church does not teach on Bible prophecy people will go to the cults and those that give aberrant interpretations of Bible eschatology for wrong answers and spiritual bondage.

I see many different theories on how the end times events will all play out. Some think the end time prophecies in the Bible will be fulfilled when an Islamic Antichrist comes against Israel. Others think that the Antichrist will come out of Europe and is identified in some way with the Harlot of Revelation chapter 17. Still others think the world will be visited by alien beings that will turn out to be fallen angels just disguised as beings from another world or dimension. They say these beings will give the world a message that is contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ and that this will be the great deception that brings in the Antichrist.

In my opinion, Islam, the pseudo Christian Harlot, and fallen angels posing as aliens will all play their own unique role in end time Bible prophecy. However, I also think that we do have to considered all this in the proper sequence of events.

Arabs in Islam will bring about the war of Psalm 83 and later other Islamic nations will be involved in the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 against Israel but these wars happen before the Beast Antichrist is revealed.

The Harlot of Revelation chapter 17 obviously reigns on earth prior to the Antichrist also since she is seen riding the Beast before the Beast turns against her. The description of this harlot queen highly suggests that she is set up in Rome. She also commits adultery with the kings of the earth so she herself is not a king or political system. She is some religions system that has great influence on the kings of the world.  There is only one religion headquarters in the world that qualifies as this harlot queen of Revelation chapter 17 and that is the Vatican of the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic religion has been somewhat of a harlot since it reared its head over 1400 years ago and brought in Babylonian priesthood practices and rituals into Christendom. For complete details and her entire  history I suggest that you read “A Woman Rides the Beast”, by Dave Hunt.

Before anyone gets too excited about my identity of this end time harlot of Revelation with the Roman Catholic religion.  I want you to realize that I believe that this passage in Revelation is speaking about end time events after the Rapture of the true Church. So true Christians that might today be in the Roman Catholic denomination would have been removed at this point. I also am not saying that Roman Catholicism is the only religion or the only religion controlled by the Harlot. I believe the Harlot is a one world religion that the Vatican leads. The Pope has more influence in the world than any other religious figure. The Vatican today has diplomatic relations with most other nations in the world as if it were a separate nation state.  No other religion has such qualifications. The Roman Catholic Church also has an advisory seat at the UN. So even today we see that the stage is set for Rome to lead a world religion but the major deceptions that will advance this world ecumenical religious system have not even occurred yet but they will come.

Here is the way I think it will play out. The Western world will be a world war with Islam and it will be a very deadly war with little hope of a good outcome for all involved. All of a sudden there will be great signs and wonders in the heavens and messages that will be attributed by many to Mary. The messages will be that we are all God’s children and mankind must put aside its religious differences and learn to live in peace and do good works or we will destroy the world. This “Queen of heaven” deception (this is satanic deception, it is the same “Queen of Heaven” spoken about in the Old Testament that was worshiped by the people of that time. This is not the Mary of the Bible it is a demonic spirit posing as Mary) will say that religions have to come to common agreement. It will be claimed they they all express different truths about the same God. The claim probably will be that there are many paths to the same God and that we are free to have our own religious expressions and differences but man must all unite and work for the common good on earth or man will destroy the earth.

Believe it or not Muslims revere Mary above any other woman, they revere Mary more than Jesus, as do many Hindus, so it is not far fetched to believe that the Islamic world will be tired enough of war that the majority will embrace this message of inclusiveness and rebel against the radicals in Islam that brought about the world war.

When the world war ends the inclusive Harlot religious system uses her influence to bring  world governance into place.  Many will be expecting some type of Christ to return to help solve the problems of the world and the Harlot Queen will be sitting fat and happy in Rome. People will be saying peace and safety and many will be following false teachers that are saying the Christ has appeared here or there. During the time of the Harlot’s reign in Rome you will not be allowed to claim that your own beliefs are the only way to God or talk against the religious believes of others because leaders will fear this would lead to new religious wars. So these things will be forbidden in the name of world peace. Those that do not conform will be reeducated or killed for the common good of the world, thinking that doing so is doing God a favor. This brings the persecution of true believers talked about at the fifth seal of Revelation. It will be much like it was in the days of the inquisitions when many thousands of Christians and Jews that would not bow their knee to Rome were killed in the name of God.

This persecution of followers of Jesus will be the last straw and God will rule against Satan’s administration over the earth and give the Kingdom over to Jesus. Satan and his angels will then war against God’s angels and lose and Satan and his angles will be cast out of the heavens unto the earth (Revelation chapter 12). Then Satan knowing that his time is short before Jesus will come with his angels to rule the earth will do all in his power to deceive the world to oppose Jesus and the God of heaven.

The first major event is that an angel will come out of the Abyss, possibly Satan himself or his lieutenant, and he will take over the body of a man and enter the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem (it will part of the ecumenical center built on the Temple Mount overseen by the Roman Harlot to appease the major religions of the world) and he defiles the Temple and claims to be above anything called God. He will probably claim to be the ascended master of the universe perhaps Zeus (the God of Gods) who came into this dimension to save the world from a hostile aliens led by Jesus/Jehovah (said to be posing as God but said to intend to enslave the world under Bible laws).

The Beast Antichrist will demand worship as God and he will have supernatural powers and his fellow travelers (fallen angels) will quickly control the political system of the whole world. His message will especially appeal to those in eastern religions and the “New Age”,  New Spiritually, polytheistic and pantheistic movements. His message that God is a force in Himself and that it can be received by others by taking his mark of initiation will bring a world revolution against the Harlot of Rome and this world religious system will fall and be burned. The Beast/Antichrist will then shake up world government and remove three of ten kings that are running the world and move his world headquarters to Babylon. At that time the trumpet and bowl judgments will start but the Beast/Antichrist will continue to lead all nations against Israel and Jesus Christ where he and all on earth that oppose God’s anointed King for the world will meet their end.

So everyone is not wrong when they say Islam will bring in the Beast, or a Western Antichrist will be the Beast or a Alien deception will set us up for the Beast. Some views are probably just too narrow, they just might not be seeing the full prophetic picture.

Rick Warren apologizes to homosexual leaders because some thought he was against homosexual marriage.

No Gravatar

Seems Rick Warren was not against California’s Proposition 8 and homosexual marriage after all. Quoted below is the exact words Rick Warren made on “Larry King Live”.  Also in the same article that I quote and link to at the bottom of this post is Joseph Farah’s appropriate view of this wishy-washy pastor.

Why is Rick Warren always in the news? If he was actually preaching the gospel of Christ he would not get on the worldly media. He is CFR member for a reason and he has a Global Peace Plan because it conforms with the CFR globalist socialistic agenda. Rick Warren is yoked together with some very powerful globalists unbelievers and their own purpose driven lives wants global governance. What Rich Warren says to the world implies religious pluralism and a form of universalism that includes aspects of religious dominionism. He  is not presenting the gospel of Christ to the world.

Everything Rick Warren says is a compromise with the world instead of presenting the gospel of salvation to the world. I find this to be true ranging across the spectrum from Rick Warren’s purpose driven seeker friendly gospel lite movement to his many media opportunities that never clearly presents the gospel of Christ.

If a Christian pastor cannot stand up for clear teachings of their faith he certainly should not be standing in your church pulpit! The only reason I think Rich Warren is standing at Saddleback Church is that the church membership has been made in his image. By the way, while I am at it, here is an example of how Rick Warren grows his Church.

It is amazing to me that a “Evangelical” Christian leader would actually apologize to homosexual leaders because some of them might think he took the biblical stand against homosexual perversion and marriage perversion.

Also read this article that quotes what Rick Warren actually said to his church on Proposition 8. Apparently Rick Warren was even spining the truth to Larry King about what he actually said.

Need another opinion? Here is Dr. Norman L. Geisler’s postion on Rick Warren and the Gay Marriage issue.

I think America’s spiritual condition is reflected in the choice of leaders that Amercians put into power and that is doubly true in its churches.

America’s wishy-washy pastors

(Rick Warren on Larry King Live)

“You know, Larry, there was a story within a story that never got told,” he said. “In the first place, I am not an anti-gay or anti-gay marriage activist. I never have been, never will be. During the whole Proposition 8 thing, I never once went to a meeting, never once issued a statement, never – never once even gave an endorsement in the two years Prop 8 was going. The week before the – the vote, somebody in my church said, Pastor Rick, what – what do you think about this? And I sent a note to my own members that said, I actually believe that marriage is – really should be defined, that that definition should be – say between a man and a woman.

“And then all of a sudden out of it, they made me, you know, something that I really wasn’t,” Warren continued. “And I actually – there were a number of things that were put out. I wrote to all my gay friends – the leaders that I knew – and actually apologized to them. That never got out. There were some things said that – you know, everybody should have 10 percent grace when they say public statements. And I was asked a question that made it sound like I equated gay marriage with pedophilia or incest, which I absolutely do not believe. And I actually announced that. All of the criticism came from people that didn’t know me. Not a single criticism came from any gay leader who knows me and knows that for years, we’ve been working together on AIDS issues and all these other things.”

(Joseph Farah)

What are we to make of such mealy-mouthed, wishy-washy, namby-pamby hokum?

It’s a great illustration of America’s most prominent church leader equivocating and backtracking and saying almost nothing coherent so that he will offend no one.

Chuck Baldwin claims that Christians use Bible prophecy as an excuse to be lazy.

No Gravatar

Boy do I have mixed feeling about this article by Chuck Baldwin because it is just chock full of truth spun with some of his usual crap. Please read the full article and not just what I clipped so you can follow what I am about to say about Baldwin’s views.

First, I do not like his title although there may be some in truth in it. However, my definition of a lazy Christians is not Chuck Baldwin’s definition. To me lazy Christians are those will will not read the word, take the time to fellowship with God, or with other Christians and do little if any work for Christ on earth. Baldwin in his articles seems to think you have to be an American Patriot resisting the New World Order in order to be a fruitful Christian.

Second, I disagree that Christians cannot know the season of the Lord’s return. In spite of the usual passages that Baldwin uses out of context as if they were for the latter day Church. The Church can know the season of the Lord’s return and can know that the days we live in are prophetic times and very near the time of Christ’s return. It would make no sense for Jesus to tell us to watch if there was nothing to look for. I will not burden anyone here with how we can know these things from the signs in scripture and the signs in world trends. You can read all that in my twenty-five article series on World Current Events and Bible prophecy.

Next, I do agree with Baldwin that some following Bible prophecy have become unbalanced and do have the attitude that it all has to end within a decade. Some spend their days doing nothing but looking for tea leaves to reinforce their speculation. The prophetic scripture is not enough for them so they go to Islam eschatology and read books based on pagan myths or hidden formulas that conform to their 2012 – 2019 deadline for Christ to return. There is a lot of that going on. I call them the post-modern theologians of Christian eschatology because whatever is relevant to their new found theory or Gnostic truth is used regardless of the source.

In my opinion, Baldwin in his many articles confuses Christian constitutional patriotism with the Christian commission. Frankly, he seems to believe in American Christian dominionism. He seems to think that those not pursuing the goal to make America ruled by Christians are not pulling their weight. Also, much of what he says about our forefathers is true but not all all of them were the wonderful Christians that Baldwin paints. Just read early American history and you will see many evils. Most did confess Christianity but their actions did not always reflect Christianity. They had diverse differences in what true Christianity was in their faith and practice. Defacto Christianity in America was not really established by some great Christian effort by our forefathers as Baldwin indicates. Christianity became the defacto religion because almost all American early immigrants were already Christians. Most of them left Europe become of the persecution there against Christians.

Baldwin said if pastors and Christians of Colonial America believed and acted as most Christians believe and act today this country would still be a Crown colony. The fact is that most pastors and Christians had no part against the Crown at first. It was only a very small percentage of elitists that broke with the British and led the American rebellion. Since when is rebellion initiated by God anyway? The early settlers were not really living under tyranny, they were some of the freest people on earth at the time. Who knows what America would be like today if there never had been an American revolution? We would probably be another common-wealth country. Did nations like Canada fair that much worse than us? After looking at American wars and our civil strife are we that much better off because of the revolution?

Which brings me to another point. What new world order are Christians supposed to rebel against? Baldwin’s Illuminati conspiracy version, the present version, the half dozen future versions that are on think tank drawing boards, or maybe one that has not even been conceived yet? Why is world government more evil than nation government even before the arrival of the Antichrist? Should not Christians be working from within to be the salt and light to the coming world government? After all, we already know a world government is coming. Bible prophecy tells us so. The world had previous world kingdoms did God tell his people to rebel against them? So who says that a future world government has to be evil and not in God’s will? The next world government is likely to occur some years before Satan is cast out of Heaven and given free reign.

That is not to say that Christians should not oppose evil anywhere but lets really draw the line on opposing what is evil, and not determine what is good and evil based on Baldwin’s vision of some future real or imagined evils of a new world order.

I do not like the slave-like mentality that people in America have today either, but it seems to me that our government is really a reflection of the people of this nation. Americans put their task masters into power and if Americans did not want them they would get rid of them. They want them because they promise them handouts. So why do we tolerate evil in America? Because that is what most Americans want. America morally is post Christian. Even many so called Christians are morally post Christian. So knowing that, how does Baldwin or anyone else expect to establish some new Christian dominionism in the United States? Through force? Through civil disobedience? It is not likely that it will be done through ballets because we are certainly outnumbered. The only real way to achieve this goal would be through conversion of Americans to true Christianity but Baldwin is not ever suggesting that. Instead he expects to get Christian blood out of a dead stone.

I do agree with Baldwin that many Christians see Bible prophecy and the world through American eyes and wrongly think America will never see judgment before the Rapture. It is obviously to me that we will, in fact the judgment has already started because even so called Christians have rejected God in their actions and choices and that is reflected in the evil people they put into power.

God can bless America if we turn back toward him. However, it is not the teaching of Bible prophecy that is preventing that from happening. It is as Baldwin himself said and that actually contradicts his thesis that Christians are using Bible prophecy as an excuse to become lazy.

I believe the real reason why so many professing Christians are so apathetic
and indifferent to what is happening has nothing to do with the teachings
of Scripture, Bible doctrine, eschatology, or anything of the like.
It has everything to do with old-fashioned laziness. Today’s average
Christian just flat does not want to be bothered. He has a comfortable
house, an easy chair, television, and a set of golf clubs in the closet.
He takes two or three weeks’ vacation every year, goes to church on
Sunday (a church that does not intrude on his comfort zone, of course),
pays taxes, and votes for his favorite “pro-life” Republican
candidate every two years, and assumes that he is a “good”
Christian and “patriotic” American. He is neither!

So even Baldwin admits that belief in the soon return of the Lord’s is not the real problem with Christians. The problem is that Christians in the U.S. have just become laodicean and lazy. If we can get pastors to solve the lukewarm issue in the Church, that will be about the best pastors can do to solve the issue of evil in America.

Chuck Baldwin — Christians Use Prophecy To Excuse Laziness

In response to my two previous columns regarding the current development of a devilish New World Order, many professing Christians wrote me with comments to the effect that we should not be concerned about whatever global tyranny may be developing, because “it’s all a part of God’s plan,” or “Jesus is coming soon,” and similar statements. I, too, believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth. But, then again, so did Christians from every generation over the last two millennia. In fact, the Apostle Paul was looking for the return of Christ while he lived (Philippians 3:20). But does anticipation of Christ’s Second Coming excuse personal neglect, indifference, and downright laziness? Of course not.

When confronted with an obvious evil (a burgeoning tyrannical New World Order, not to mention a number of lesser evils), modern Christians will shrug and glibly say, “It’s God’s will; we must not oppose it,” or words to that effect. This attitude says, “I will tolerate or even condone evil in order to hasten Christ’s return.”

In the first place, no one knows when Christ will return, no matter how many books or tapes they have produced to say they do.

i

In the meantime, millions of Christians across America are trying to play God. They talk as if they know when Christ will come. It’s actually worse than that. They have the attitude that they have no personal responsibility to defend freedom and resist despotism. They seem to look at God as some kind of glorified fireman, who is obligated to rush in at the last minute to rescue them from a burning fire–a fire that they helped ignite, or at least, refused to put out themselves when they had the opportunity to do so. It’s the old, “God would not let that happen in America” syndrome.

I believe the real reason why so many professing Christians are so apathetic and indifferent to what is happening has nothing to do with the teachings of Scripture, Bible doctrine, eschatology, or anything of the like. It has everything to do with old-fashioned laziness. Today’s average Christian just flat does not want to be bothered. He has a comfortable house, an easy chair, television, and a set of golf clubs in the closet. He takes two or three weeks’ vacation every year, goes to church on Sunday (a church that does not intrude on his comfort zone, of course), pays taxes, and votes for his favorite “pro-life” Republican candidate every two years, and assumes that he is a “good” Christian and “patriotic” American. He is neither!

A real Christian patriot would never allow his country to be taken over by a gaggle of elitist goons bent on stealing his liberties–including his religious liberties–without doing everything in his power to prevent it. A real Christian patriot is active, alert, engaged, zealous, and committed to preserving liberty.

Tell me again that “there is nothing we can do about it,” or “it’s God’s will,” or “Jesus is coming soon.” Better yet, tell it again to the suffering Christians around the world; tell it again to our Christian forebears; tell it again to your children and grandchildren who are going to inherit a land of tyranny and oppression, all because you were too lazy to resist.

So, the next time you hear some piety-draped Christian talking about how he won’t engage the enemy and fight for liberty, because of prophecy, or some other spiritually-sounding platitude, just remember, it has nothing to do with prophecy, or anything of the sort: it has everything to do with old-fashioned laziness.

Joel’s Army the manifest sons of deception!

No Gravatar

Every hear of Joel’s Army? This article will tell you all about what is coming from the “New Wave” or “Third Wave” act that is sweeping the Charismatic crowd looking for titillating manisfestations of God through demonic people. You know, the stuff coming from the Todd Bentley’s, the Rick Joiner’s and all the manifest sons of deception crowd. Notice that Joel’s army physically attacks the church in order to purify it. I guess they want us to believe that a demonically inspired group of men is going to purify the church and take the world for Christ. Sure! And the Easter Bunny is the risen Christ.

If you believe the Bible teaches any of this stuff that these people are saying you really need to read through your Bible for the first time in your life.

Joseph Chambers

Dominion Theology and Joel’s Army

Religious deception is always the most subtle and dangerous kind. When the church forsakes the old paths of righteousness and consecration, the next step is haughtiness and doctrinal confusion. It is impossible to rightly interpret Scripture; to rightly divide the great truths of the “meat of the Word” unless humility and a contrite spirit controls our life. There are no haughty and arrogant prophets in the kingdom of God. “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” (Psalm 51:17).

The entire Evangelical church world is being assaulted with the Kingdom Dominion Theology. It is like mortal combat between those who defend the Biblical doctrines of the End Times (The Rapture of Christ’s Bride, the Tribulation followed by the Millennium) and the “New Wave Theology.” A book entitled Joel’s Army describes this “New Wave Theology” as promoted by one New Wave organization. The author stated that this ministry was “holding conferences overseas and throughout the U.S.A. Churches and denominations are being proselytized and preyed on with a ‘gospel’ they claim is ordained to bring forth:

1. the greatest revival the Church has ever known;
2. the greatest baptism of the Spirit the Church has ever experienced;
3. the greatest Army (Joel’s Army) distinguished by invincibility, immortality and divinity;
4. the greatest purging (inquisition) in the history of the Church;
5. the greatest ministry – the Prize of all Ages; and
6. the greatest miracles, supernatural signs and wonders far exceeding that of the Apostles and Prophets of old.” (JOEL’S ARMY, pages 1&2).

Since Joel’s Army is supposed to be men and women taking possession of this earth for their King, a second class of warriors becomes necessary. These they call the “Phineas Priesthood.” Rick Joyner made mention of those with the “spirit of Phineas” in his book, The Harvest.

“The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord’s faithful servants…..a great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phineas…” (THE HARVEST, Rick Joyner).

A book written by Richard Kelly Hoskins entitled, “Vigilantes Of Christendom,” describes these warriors. He says of them, “As the Kamikaze is to the Japanese, As the Shiite is to Islam, As the Zionist is to the Jew, So the Phineas priest is to Christendom.” It is very clear that they are preparing to slaughter those who resist their authority. Jesus warned that, “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” (St. John 16:2). That sounds exactly like the great inquisitors of the dark ages.

“The DAY OF THE LORD as seen through the eyes of the NEW WAVE ‘prophets’ will be a time when JOEL’S ARMY led by the ‘prophets’ will pour out God’s wrath on the church. Then for the first time in two thousand years the ‘pure church’ will come forth. In other words, the ‘blood of Christ’ did not avail, nor will it in the LAST DAYS because JOEL’S ARMY and the ‘prophets’ will do what the blood could not, i.e., cleanse the Church. If indeed it takes JOEL’S ARMY to purify the church, then all the preaching of the Cross from the early Church to the present was in vain. And rather than the ‘cross’ being God’s final answer to ‘walking in newness of life’ . . ., we do well to look for another. The JOEL’S ARMY doctrine as it applies to the Church and world is not only in total conflict with the ‘Gospel of Christ’, but is a radical new rendition of the doctrine of redemption and purification. By all analysis, it is ‘another gospel’ and poses a real threat to unstable churches in that it is yet another great deception beguiling the Church.” (JOEL’S ARMY, page 9.)

Warning
Every theological direction these religionists are taking is rooted in esoteric revelations rather than the “tried and true” doctrines of the Bible. They are quick to say that this is a day of new revelations. The New Agers call it a “paradigm shift.” Tommy Reid, a noted New Wave leader, calls it “a new world view.” The Bible calls it “apostasy.”

A sovereign move of God’s Holy Spirit is the only answer to these wild speculations. There are a multitude of “angels of light” sent by Satan to deceive. If you are looking for something titilating, you will probably find the same. If you are looking for “the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” He lives in the Holy Scripture and is waiting for you to open the door. He reveals Himself in your will and heart (spirit), not your emotions.

Coming Christian wealth transfer or an ongoing third wave demon transfer?

No Gravatar

The whole idea that there will be a wealth transfer from the world to the Church is preposterous. What do they think the world will be doing while we take away their wealth and what in the world would we do with the wealth of the world anyway? Get rid of poverty? Where does it say the Church will do that in scripture? Actually these people will take new found wealth to build more and larger circus tents for their “third wave” freak shows?

There is no such concept of a wealth transfer to the Church in scripture it is totally contrary to what the scripture teaches.

These “third wave” self appointed, apostles, prophets and healers are proud presumptuous deranged people or they are greedy con artists and liars.

The “third wave” apostles, false prophets and healers appeal to people’s flesh and that is the only reason they have a following. They certainly do not hear the true gospel from these people and they do receive any sound Christian teaching.

These are the people Jesus was talking about in Matthew chapter 7: 21-22. They tell Jesus did we not prophecy in your name and cast out Devils in your name and do great works? But, Jesus will say to them depart from me you workers of inequity I never knew you.

Most of these people are con men deceivers. I am not so gullible as to believe that they actually believe the stuff they peddle. I guess there could be a few simple minded exceptions in the group but the rest are simply religious acting con artists.

They use scriptures without understanding because they have none. They have no Holy Spirit to give it to them. They are followed by those who do not read God’s word. They would rather listen to people who tickle their itching ears. They could all be board members of the First Church of the Flesh.

These leaders claim to be apostles, prophets and healers and they claim to be great anointed people of God but they really are the wolves in sheep’s clothing that the Bible warns us against.

People wonder why I say the “Word of Faith” movement is a false gospel cult. Well, what movement produced the prideful presumptive demonic “third wave” movement and the prosperity gospel? They distort everything in the Bible. So much so, that their Jesus cannot even be found in any honest study of the Bible.

I think many of the “third wave” leaders are demon possessed and many of those who go to their gatherings are in danger of becoming demon possessed. Many of the regulars who go to their meetings display manifestations of occult demon possession. They are not of sound mind. Neither Jesus Christ, nor the Holy Spirit is in the tabernacle.

If you are following these people run! You are playing with fire.

Bible Prophecy Today | Bible Prophecy News and Commentary by Today’s Leading Bible Prophecy Scholars | News and Commentary from a Biblical Perspective

Will the Church soon be showered with the wealth of the unrighteous, thus being able to fund the last, great global harvest of souls? Again quoting C. Peter Wagner, “I think the time is ripe for those of us who are apostles to begin to understand the crucial role we have in God’s plan to release the wealth of the wicked for the advance of the kingdom of God.”[2]

But what does the Bible say? Pursuing a historical-grammatical interpretation—in other words, interpreting the Bible as it reads—try as one might, one cannot find this view supported in the Bible.

Dealing first with the “wealth transfer” notion, indeed, we do find that there is a great wealth transfer prophesied in Scripture. However, it has nothing to do with the Church, but rather applies to Israel and the Millennial period.

There are many other problems with the last-day wealth transfer notion applying to the Church. For example, it is claimed that there will yet be a last-day global harvest before the Lord returns, and that the Church will need great wealth to fund this objective as well as eradicating poverty in the world. Says Wagner, “In order to possess the gate of wealth to, among other things, develop plans to eradicate systemic poverty, we need to develop new structures of intercession to do the spiritual warfare necessary to transfer wealth.[3]”

However, the Bible says directly otherwise. Clearly implying that there would be little faith upon earth when He returns,

So is there a great, last-day wealth transfer to the Church? Scripture easily and clearly settles this question. Yet, theologians who should have sufficient knowledge of what the Bible says[4] instead prefer to trust their own intuitions and prophecies. This recent statement from Apostle Peter (also known as C. Peter Wagner) provides an example of such vanity, in which he appears to make his own decrees supersede Scripture. Spoken on the great reverential authority of the claimed office of an early New Testament apostle, he literally commands the earth’s obedience. Not even the first Apostle Peter spoke with such licence. (One also wonders why the foundations of the New Jerusalem will be named after the original 12 apostles and not more? —See Revelation 21:14.)

“I hereby take the apostolic authority that I have been given by God. I decree that vast amounts of wealth will be released supernaturally, even from godless and pagan sources. I decree that large numbers of God’s chosen people will be empowered in fresh and creative ways to gain wealth according to Deuteronomy 8:18. New inventions will multiply. Disruptive technologies will change the life patterns of the whole human race. The earth will disgorge vast riches of hidden resources. These will be entrusted to God’s agents. Profits will increase exponentially. It is spoken. So may it come to pass! Amen and amen!”[5]

Today, as all too frequently with other Third Wave Christian movements supposedly marked by “fresh moves of the Spirit,” new or revised theologies have been revealed on the strength of new prophecies uttered by their own prophets. The serious issue here is that these prophecies serve to revise what God originally said through his prophets and Scripture. Indeed, such revisions are not a new phenomenon, having been the mark of many if not all apostate movements or beliefs.

The true Church of the last days, if anything, is more of a remnant than it is resplendent with wealth. Revelation 3:8 says that the church of the “open door” is weak and feeble; far from being imbued with worldly power and wealth. It is this little Philadelphian band of believers, to which is promised, “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth” (Revelation 3:10). If the Third Wave movements are correct, one wonders why it is the rich Laodicean church that is being reprimanded by Christ.

Keep walking in the wolves footprints and see where that leads you!

No Gravatar

Jan Markell makes it clear that Todd Bentley is a wolf even if she does not want to demonize Bentley I think it is a bit too late. He is demonized and if that steps on your latter rain theology, good.

Two decades ago I said that the Charismatics and Pentecostals will continue to split into two major camps. One camp will become biblically grounded and do all things in order, for example, the Calvary Chapels. The other group will continue to move away from sound doctrine into questionable mysterious experiences. I was correct. The leadership moved even beyond what anyone could foresee. They willfully became False Prophets, blasphemers, liars, full of pride, greedy, buffoons. Their followers have become worshipers of men, always looking for some new emotional goose bump. They have become biblically illiterate, brainwashed, put into altered states, and made to play the fool for those they worship and to be paraded as a mockery of Christianity to the whole world.

We see this being manifested today in the “Signs and Wonders” movement, Word of Faith, Some Vineyards, Some Assemblies of God’s and some others. If you have taken the wrong path you need to change directions pronto. This path has already led you to a false gospel but it will soon lead you to the deception of the Antichrist.

What if the foolish things that you are doing in some of these churches were youtubed to your employer? You probably should know you could kiss off any advancement. It would not be because of your confessed faith in Jesus, it will be because your employer will be convinced that you are not of sound mind. I have news God is also watching your little show even if no one else sees it.

FOOTPRINTS OF A PROPHET OR TRACKS OF A WOLF? – CWN

I am writing the “inconvenient truth” today. I have been blitzed with e-mails about the Todd Bentley “revival” in Florida. Before you fall for his stories and “signs and wonders,” please allow me to make some comments. I realize this will not be received well by many.

This is a Charismatic happening called the “third wave.” The “first wave” was Toronto, and it fizzled out. The “second wave” was Pensacola, and it had the same fate. Now Bentley has brought in the “third wave,” and folks are coming from around the world for the “anointing.” Even the Charisma Magazine editor Lee Grady says — sounding a warning — “My inbox has been full of messages from Charismatic leaders who are concerned about everything from Bentley’s tattoos and body piercings to his claim that he once interviewed the apostle Paul in Heaven. When I called for scrutiny of some aspects of the Lakeland Revival, I was labeled a Pharisee and a ‘religious policeman.’ I had suddenly become the enemy.”

every word out of his mouth. Pray that their eyes would be opened before they are further spiritually damaged. We are not trying to demonize Todd; rather, we hope to protect some sheep, which our pastors should be doing but many are not.

The Todd Bentley Freak show at Lakeland Florida Circus

No Gravatar

I know I say you have to read this too often, but you really do have to read this article.

What a circus is going on in the name of Christ in Lakeland Florida! The latest ring leader of this circus is Todd Bentley but they apparently have had enough freak show hucksters and visitors for these phony and satanic “healing”, laughing and lunacy side shows to keep this circus act going for over a decade. In my last post on this topic I said some Pentecostal’s need to grow up. Now I will say if they are taking part or promoting this demonic activity they are in danger of hellfire.

Check your “Christianity at the door and your brain as well if you dare enter in”. Quite frankly, if you are attending these freak shows and acting out this loony stuff you are already probably quite insane by anyone’s definition and you should go get professional help.

Bentley

If you’ve been watching the news on “Christian Television” in the past couple of weeks, you could not have missed the glowing reports of a “revival” breaking out in Lakeland, Florida. It is headed up by a certified false prophet/teacher by the name of Todd Bentley, one of the guys from the infamous Elijah List, an umbrella group that markets all the bogus “prophetic” junk their many seers sell. Many of these forerunners for the antichrist are heralding this outbreak as the much-touted outpouring of the latter rain. {If you think I’m speaking harshly, keep reading to understand why I can’t mince words.}

Sadly, this circus show featuring an “illustrated man” is now on the road and targets young people and new believers who are not armed with a knowledge of Scripture so they are sitting ducks for deception. The crowds following Bentley are seen being overcome by ugly spirits of drunkenness and stupor. Those in the church who are crying out against this injustice perpetrated upon our weakest little lambs are being squelched by the “Christian” media, since those in control of the airwaves suppress the truth in unrighteousness. And any otherwise solid ministries that buy airtime on networks such as TBN and the God Channel shut up their own mouths for fear of biting the hand that feeds them and getting their programs tossed.

Bentley

Watching Bentley do his circus act can be very nauseating. He imparts his Emma spirit on the young people who come up for a touch. He flings the evil spirits upon them while yelling, “blah, blah, blah, blah” – whatever he means by that – and culminates it with slaying them in the “spirit” with the word “BAM!” [see link for example ] Why would he scream “Bam” over people?

Coexisting with doctrines of devils

No Gravatar

Bono, Rick warren, Schuller, Bill Hybells, George Bush, Obama, and many others and most of the Emerging Church movement shape shifters all believe in pluralism and universalism while claiming to be Christians. Their Christianity is really religious dominionism. They want to use religion, government, media and the power elite to bring in total world governance and establishment of their idealist earthly utopia in the name of their higher power. What they will actually bring in will be the Antichrist figure who will claim to fulfill all the expectations of religions. The harlot woman is about to ride the Beast.

Bono, Universalism, and the Emerging Church? – CWN

On Relevant Magazine’s website, Tara Leigh Cobble gives an interesting report of what she says she witnessed at a Bono concert:

About five songs into their set, Bono stopped the show and strapped on a headband with writing on it. I stared up at the JumboTron to see that the handwritten lettering said: COEXIST.

Coexisting sounds like a great idea. I fully support the peaceful philanthropy that Bono has encouraged, and this seemed like another way that he was trying to spread the message.

Except, it started to feel like more than a political message. The “C” in “coexist” was the Islamic crescent moon, the “X” was the Star of David, and the “T” was the cross of Christ. Bono pointed at the symbols on his headband—first to the cross, then to the star, then to the crescent moon—and he began to repeat:

“Jesus, Jew, Mohammed—all true. Jesus, Jew, Mohammed—all true.”

He repeated the words like a mantra, and some people even began to repeat it with him. I suddenly wanted to crawl out of my skin.

While some at the concert dispute exactly what Bono said, media outlets have reported Bono wearing the Coexist logo.

http://www.newsobserver.com/105/story/379359.html

The Coexist logo is certainly about promoting the worldview of pluralism and universalism. Pluralism is the belief that all religions are equal, and universalism is the belief that all religions are true and everyone will be saved because all roads lead to God.

The worldwide acceptance of pluralism and universalism will eventually lead to a one-world religion as discussed in the Bible. However, it appears that not everyone is opposed to the Coexist message. Who am I talking about? Well, it happens to be the Emerging Church. In the words of Gomer Pile I say, “Surprise! Surprise!”

Shirley Dobson appears on Hour of Power and says Robert Schuller is doing good work

No Gravatar

Much of the church is missing Dr. Dobson’s mixed message because he tells them what they want to hear on issues of the family and morality but Dr. Dobson seems to be confused on many theological issues – from the evil of psychology in the Church, to soft dominionism to his confusion on Robert Schuller’s universalism.

I wrote an article that includes information on Dr. Dobson if anyone cares to read it. The major segment on Dobson is about half way down the article in the psychobabble section, also check the excellent link within for much more information.

Do The Dobsons and Focus on the Family Agree with the Emergent Church? – CWN

If Dr. Dobson and Focus on the Family are NOT in agreement with the Emergent Church then Dr. Dobson should release a letter stating that he does not agree with Emergent church leaders such as Dr. Robert Schuller and apologize for his wife’s appearance with Dr. Schuller on The Hour of Power and his VP’s appearance at Schuller’s conference.

Dr. Dobson should commit to hosting a series of programs on this fast growing cancer inside the church. Dr. Dobson could invite former Emergent Church pioneer, Jason Carlson on his program to expose the heresy of this Trojan horse in our camp.

I really wish that Dr. Dobson and Mrs. Dobson would join me in my opposition of the Emergent Church theology and not be praising one of its biggest leaders and promoters. At the conclusion of her interview with Dr. Robert Schuller, Mrs. Dobson says, “Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. Schuller. God bless you and the good work you are doing here”

What? “God bless the good work you are doing here”? What good work is that, leading millions of people to hell with a false gospel? Really, I would like to know what good work she is talking about. Dr. Schuller promotes Universalism and I know the Dobsons do not agree with Universalism.

Why on earth would Mrs. Dobson appear on The Hour of Power and then ask God to bless “the good work” Schuller is doing? FOTF and the Dobson’s have nothing to gain by cooperating with Schuller, but they do have their credibility to lose with discerning, conservative, Bible-Believing Christians.

Janet Folger says stop whining and take dominion of the earth

No Gravatar

How incredibly undiscerning! Janet Folger is now teaching us Word of Faith Theology. She obviously is a believer in heretical Dominion theology. The link will give you more of my take on that theology.

Folger implies that Jesus lost the keys of the kingdom of heaven and had to die to get them back from Satan.
What heretical nonsense. Jesus never lost the keys of the kingdom of heaven. What kind of God would lose his keys? The keys Jesus gave the Church is authority in the spiritual realm in the spiritual kingdom of heaven. Even Jesus has not yet bound Satan on earth and taken authority on the earth because the timing of that is set by the Father alone. There are some still to be saved out of this world before judgment and the earthly kingdom is set up.

If what Folger said was true why did not the 12 apostles just take authority, bind Satan and set up the earthly kingdom instead of letting the world kill them. Gee, we Christians could of had total control of the earth for almost 2000 years if they only understood things the way Word Faith preachers do. Why do not two Christians anywhere just bind all the forces of Satan on earth and establish dominion? Why don’t Janet Folger just get together with Kenneth Copeland and try it? Why are you blaming us that your own prayers are not getting answered? Jesus said it would only take two if Jesus really meant what you imply.

We have no dominion on the earth because we are sinners and cannot administer this earth with justice. Dominion does not mean ownership, God owns the earth. After man sinned God put the earth under the administration of angels until the justice and sin problem is taken care of. (Satan just happens to be the chief angel in charge watching over this creation and he continually reports our unworthiness to have dominion on the earth.)

The keys of the kingdom of heaven do not give us ownership of a world living in sin it gives us standing in the kingdom of heaven as priests to carry out the will of the King. Obviously God’s will is not to bring a world of sinners into the kingdom that He will establish on the earth.

What title deed to the earth is Janet talking about? God does not give out title deeds to His creation. Where in scripture anywhere does it say that man was given a title deed to the earth? Man did not lose something he never had and Jesus did not die for any title deed. Jesus already had the title deed of everything as the Creator. Jesus died for our sins not for fake titles. And Jesus did not then give some abstract title deed to the planet back to man only to have him lose the title by default back to Satan by Christians not doing what they should have. That is what many Word Faith preachers teach. Then they say the Latter Rain, New Wave anointed elite (themselves) have to come and confront Satan and take the title of earth back again and bring in the physical kingdom on earth before Jesus can even come back. This Kingdom Now, Latter Rain, Manifest sons of Destiny Theology is totally absurd. It is not Christian doctrine. It is loony.

Jesus taught us to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven and we are still praying for that because God has not brought in the Kingdom on earth yet like it is in heaven. It is like praying for the peace of Jerusalem, you should pray for that end but you cannot bring it in before God’s own timing. Only when Jesus comes back will God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven and will there be true peace in Jerusalem.

Pslam 2:8 in context is talking about the Son of God, not Christians. He will give the nations to Jesus Christ but the timing is in the Fathers hands. Ripping it out of context as some promise to the betrothed bride that has not even been given gifts and awarded leadership positions and that are not yet fully prepared or fully completed in the body to be formally married to the King yet in the Father’s eyes is beyond presumption, it is arrogance. We will rule and reign with Jesus on earth when He is given David’s throne on earth and not before.

You asked what we have faith for? We have faith in the hope of Jesus fulfilling all His promises. We have faith that what we hear God tell us will be fulfilled, but we do not have faith to presume that your own wishes for the earth are from God. That is presumption.

Janet Folger said she would like to start by taking our own country back? She implies that Christians had dominion over America and lost it. She implies that the U.S. was a Christian nation. When was that? Do they not teach history in schools anymore? This nation had one wickedness after another throughout its history along with any good. Perhaps the best periods were right after major wars but that always is the case because wars remove many of the violent evil people from the earth. In any case, you cannot take a nation back for Christ that was never won for Christ. I do not even know a city or a town that was totally won for Christ. In order to do that you would have to oppose all who do not see things your theological way. The world already has a history of cities, nations and empires trying to take it for their version of Christianity. Was that good? Is that what you are suggesting for America. A Holy American Empire with Word of Faith preachers ruling on the throne? I think I do not want to be part of that America. Their Jesus is too much like the Jesus of Oprah. So you better get your burning stakes ready for me.

Occupy to Jesus comes means to live here in the world in whatever state you find yourself in. It does not mean to take it over. Remember Jesus promised the Church persecution in the world not a national or world utopia.

Your whole premises is flawed and why would you need us to help anyway. You and Copeland can do it all yourself. After all, you claim if two or more ask for anything in Jesus name it will be done for you. According to your own theology nothing can stop you. So stop whining and get started!

Ugh!

Stop whining and take dominion!

Of course, Jesus said (essentially), “No deal.” Satan was running the place, but when Jesus took the punishment our sins deserved on the cross and rose again, Jesus “got the keys back.” He reconciled us to himself and handed them over to us as he said in Matthew 16:19:

And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

With the keys Jesus gave us, we have authority, responsibility, access and ownership. Which brings us back to “Plan A” in the first chapter of Genesis where God told us to “have dominion over & every living thing that moves on the earth.”

With the title deed and the keys we’ve been given, we now can take dominion as was the original plan and see God’s will be done “on earth as it is in Heaven,” just like we’ve been praying in the Lord’s prayer all this time.

So, here’s my question. Just what do you have faith for? Psalm 2:8 says: “Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possessions.” That sounds pretty good to me. I’d like to start with taking my country back. To “occupy” until He comes.

I’ve turned off the pundits to tap into the power. I want to know God’s heart enough to come into alignment with Him and start turning some keys and opening some doors. It’s time we take ownership and occupy the centers of influence and the areas of our culture Christians have vacated. It’s time we stop whining about how big the giants are and start coming back to “Plan A”: dominion. You have the keys. You have the title deed. What are you waiting for? Even the heaviest iron door doesn’t stand a chance.

Brian Mclaren tells young creekers to lessen focus on eternity

No Gravatar

I do not know why Willow Creek would allow this heretic to speak at their church. I take that back I think I do known why.

I challenge anyone who reads the Bible as written to tell me that this man has not redefined the scriptures to take away absolutes truths and replace them with stupid rationalizations. Tell me that he is not corrupting Christian youth with his heretical teaching. It is time that Christians quit making apogees for this very destructive heretic. His teachings are doing great harm to Christianity especially to the youth of the church.

So why is it that Christians in your church are mislead from his books and there is no warning about this wolf in sheep’s clothing and others emergent leaders like him coming from your pastor? If heretics are not refuted with sound doctrine why will the next generation in your church believe in any Christian absolutes?

There are so many warped views in this article about Brian Mclaren statements that It would take a small book to refute the nonsense. I will just say his views on the second coming must come from heretical dominionism or some social gospel because they sure are not founded on any truth taught in the scriptures.

Mclaren redefines scripture to conform to what he wants to believe. We were warned that these people would come in the last days and the warning was given for darn good reason. Have nothing to do with these emerging heretics lest you find yourself misled.

Baptist Press – Lessen focus on eternity, McLaren says at Willow Creek student ministries conference – News with a Christian Perspective

SOUTH BARRINGTON, Ill. (BP)–The emphasis Christians place on the traditional Christian doctrines of hell and the second coming of Jesus inhibits believers from living effective lives of service in this world, according to speaker and author Brian McLaren

McLaren explained his views April 9-10 at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Ill., as a featured speaker during the Willow Creek Association’s annual Shift student ministries conference

The orthodox understanding that Jesus will return at a future date and forcefully conquer all His enemies also needs rethinking, according to McLaren.

“This eschatological understanding of a violent second coming leads us to believe (as we’ve said before) that in the end, even God finds it impossible to fix the world apart from violence and coercion; no one should be surprised when those shaped by this theology behave accordingly,” McLaren wrote.

The book of Revelation does not actually teach that there will be a new heaven and a new earth, he wrote, but that a new way of living is possible within this universe if humans will follow Jesus’ example.

We are not the prodigal nation and belief in the Rapture is not the problem

No Gravatar

Dave Daubenmire obviously too often listens to people who do not know what they are talking about.

I emailed Dave the last time he made this ridiculous assertion that the Church is sitting around doing nothing waiting for the Rapture. Obviously what I said to him did not sink in so now I will say it publicly since he makes his ridiculous assertion publicly.

Most of the Church could care less about the Rapture and it certainly is not obsessed with end-time prophecy. As I told Dave before almost nobody is teaching it anymore. The few churches that are, are probably the churches that are actually doing something spiritual in this nation.

We who believe in the Rapture and the soon return of Jesus Christ are not paralyzed by Last-Days madness anymore than any other Spirit filled believers are. You insult the Holy Spirit that works through all His people. You obviously listen too much to heretical dominionists who think the world is not Christianized because the church is failing. The world is failing by rejecting the teaching of the Church. That is not the fault of the Church. Most of the world is pagan because it does not accept the Gospel rather than not heard it.

Part of your problem is that you cannot discern between cultural Christians in this nation and the real Church. You act as if America was and is a Christian nation and all that the Christians have to do is get off their duff like the prodigal Son, return to God and take this nation back for Christ. The Church you imagine in America did not exist and it does not exist. The real Church in this nation has always been a minority and it has always been working for Christ.

You expect a “Christian” people that does not exist in America to suddenly see the light and act like Christians because you rail against them? You are not living in reality.

Dave, you have some wise things to tell Americans about what they need to do to save this nation. But, don’t confuse instructing Americans to return to Christian moral values with telling Americans that most of them are lazy Christians who need to repent from some end-time madness of looking for the Rapture. It is not happening. It is a false argument. It is counterproductive and it is stupid.

Most Americans are pagans that need to be saved but can’t be saved. Most reject the only message that can save them because they love their sins and want to believe a lie.

As for your “heal our land” statement out of Malachi. That promise in context was clearly made to physical Israel and applies to physical Israel. Last I heard we are America. There is no promise to Christians in other nations that if they humble themselves and pray that God will heal their pagan land. Try preaching that nonsense to the persecuted church in China. The promise of restoration is to the land of Israel. You like many just like to take promises to Israel out of context and make them yours but then your promises just become presumptions. America is not the promised land.

Dave, Get a grip!

Dave Daubenmire — The Prodigal Nation

What type of leadership burns our food?

The American Church is paralyzed by what Gary DeMar calls “Last-Days Madness.” In a nutshell, the modern American Church has become so obsessed with End-Time prophecy that Christians have ceased to be the “salt and light” that Christ has commanded us to be. Convinced that things are “only going to get worse” Christians have neglected Jesus’ mandate to “Occupy until I return and have instead turned the gates of authority over to the enemies of the cross.

“Worse is better!” I heard one Christian-radio pundit say. “As things get worse that means the return of the Lord is near.”

What hogwash! Is the Lord glorified by the multiplication of evil? “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth…” Did Jesus pray against His own will?

I don’t want to turn this into a theological discussion and get us all wrapped in the minutia of fig trees and famines. For the Lord’s sake, man, STAND UP AND FIGHT!

I have often wondered what America would look like if the Church believed in revival as much as it believed in the rapture.

Parsley on everything?

No Gravatar

Since John McCain kissed up to Rod Parsley even though Ron Parsley is one of the worst Word Faith heretics in existence. I thought I would link to a good article on the nonsense that Parsley preaches to his huge Church and TV audience.

I would not want anyone to think that McCain actually linked with true Christian conservatives by speaking at World Harvest Church in Ohio. The most that McCain would find there is Christian garnish that goes along with the Parsley. Not that McCain knows the difference between Christian teaching and tickle the ears garnish spreading of Word Faith teaching. McCain’s own retired paster said that McCain is not what he would consider a Christian that knows the scriptures. When your own pastor says that about you, you have not impressed him with your profound Christian knowledge.

Anyway I thought that McCain and Parsley were pretty strange birds to have in the same pot. Rod Parsley is a dominionist and John McCain obviously thinks that the U.S. should make the world a U.S. led Christian democracy. I wonder if John McCain will get all the religious dominionists together to try to bring on the world a hybrid universal religious democracy. If that is true expect some strange religious people in his government. People like Romney, Huckabee, Rick Warren, Bono, Bell, Joe Lieberman…. the Pope, Tom Cruz, Rosie etc. Anyway I digress to profound speculation, you might read about the Rod of Parsley yourself.

Rod Parsley

Rod Parsley is the pastor of the over 5000 seat World Harvest Church located in Columbus, Ohio.Parsley is a powerful motivational preacher who mixes truth with error. He is involved in word faith teachings and latter rain doctrines. He is one of the most popular Pentecostal TV preachers in America right now. He is able to release the anointing to people. He Cuts up prayer clothes to heal by laying hands on them and praying over them. He will even lay his whole body over a pile of letters as he believes he is literally transferring and releasing the “tangible anointing.” The prayer is answered due to the what he calls the corporate anointing. This is more like a transferable energy, since the anointing is the Holy Spirit who is God and is being used as a force. He tells us his faith is released toward us (faith is Godward not toward man), sometimes it is toward the letters or the cloths. He also states because he prayed every prayer is answered. This is not faith but at best overconfidence. Nowhere are we told in scripture that God will answer every prayer no matter how much faith one exhibits.

Parsley and McCain prove that Fascism can also come from the religious right

No Gravatar

What do Ron Parsley and John McCain have in common? They both see grave danger in Islam to the world. Obviously for Ron Parsley the number one criteria for being a conservative is to be against Islam.

We have here a religious leader and a political leader that would be more than willing to lead a military fight against Islam all over the world. Sure, that might be what it ultimately comes down to anyway, but do you really want the U.S. to actually promote this war? Need I explain the impact that a world war would have on our civil liberties and standards of living?

Is the U.S. really a Christian nation created to defeat Islam like Ron Parsley claims? Are we really on such high moral ground that we can go into the lion’s den without getting burned?

McCain sees the U.S. as the leader of a globalist western new world order and Ron Parsley sees the U.S. as the moral leader of the world that will advance his own dominionist views. That is an extremely dangerous combination.

Well meaning but presumptuous Christians could actually start the very war that will brings in the Beast that will turn on them and devour them.

The Bible tells Christians to try to live in peace with all people. When we start using carnal weapons to advance the kingdom we will lose the battle. We are not going to convert Islam to Christianity by promoting bloody campaigns against Islam. All it will do is to bring even greater death and destruction all over the world. I assure you after the world has had enough of religious wars they will come after those who instigated it.

Remember, Revelation tells us the Beast world government will turn on the religious Harlot that rode it into power and burn her with fire.

I tend to find McCain to be dangerous to start with because with his worldview he may get us in more wars but I could be wrong. But, team him up with extreme religious reactionaries who think that they are the leaders of a movement to take the world for some presumptuous religious kingdom on earth and the combination is explosive.

The best thing we can do with Islam is to to step back and let the different factions within it destroy each other. We certainly are not going to physically concur Islam without creating a worse Beast.

McCain’s Spiritual Guide: Destroy Islam

Senator John McCain hailed as a spiritual adviser an Ohio megachurch pastor who has called upon Christians to wage a “war” against the “false religion” of Islam with the aim of destroying it.On February 26, McCain appeared at a campaign rally in Cincinnati with the Reverend Rod Parsley of the World Harvest Church of Columbus, a supersize Pentecostal institution that features a 5,200-seat sanctuary, a television studio (where Parsley tapes a weekly show), and a 122,000-square-foot Ministry Activity Center. That day, a week before the Ohio primary, Parsley praised the Republican presidential front-runner as a “strong, true, consistent conservative.”
