If the perverse appear in an assembly displaying disorderly conduct and disrespect toward God, woman and children as mentioned here I personally think it is within the assemblies right and it is their duty to use force to protect the family and remove them from their midst. Praying for these people is nice but these people have already rejected God’s truth and they have been given over to insanity. They are demonically driven hateful predators who practice lawlessness and they will do what easy targets and those with  victim mentalities allow them to get away with. If they tried that in ancient Judaism they would be stoned, if they tried that in a Muslim Mosque they would be stoned. They only do it in Christian congregations because many Christians have been misled to believing love means you will be a patsy.

Lesbians, condoms go wild in attack on Christian church

Worshippers at a Bible-teaching church in Lansing, Mich., were stunned Sunday when members of a pro-homosexual, pro-anarchy organization named Bash Back interrupted their service to fling propaganda and condoms around the sanctuary, drape a profane banner from the balcony and feature two lesbians making out at the pulpit.

According to a blog posting by Nick De Leeuw on Right Michigan, the Bash Back organization orchestrated a protest in front of Mount Hope Church to draw the church’s security staff away from the sanctuary.

Then Bash Backers who had dressed up and mixed in with church worshippers took action.

According to De Leeuw, “Prayer had just finished when men and women stood up in pockets across the congregation, on the main floor and in the balcony.

“‘Jesus was gay,’ they shouted among other profanities and blasphemies as they rushed the stage. Some forced their way through rows of women and kids to try to hang a profane banner from the balcony while others began tossing fliers into the air. Two women made their way to the pulpit and began to kiss,” he wrote.

He cited the Bash Back organization’s own announcement of other items members brought into the church, including “a megaphone, noise makers, condoms, glitter by the bucket load, confetti, pink fabric. …”

According to the alternative Lansing City Pulse – which reported it was notified of the protest ahead of time and sent a reporter along instead of warning the church – the protesters also screamed at parishioners and pulled the church facility’s fire alarm. Printed material protesters distributed said, “We specialize in confronting homophobia, transphobia and every and all other forms of oppression.”

The report said Bash Back issued a statement today confirming it targeted Mount Hope, which has about 5,000 church participants, because it participates in “the repression of queers.”

On the newspaper’s forum page, a contributor commented, “Homosexuals and anarchists. A perfect combination of human beings with no hope, no morals, no future.”

Our public schools played a large role in producing the postmodern amoral generation we have in America today. There is little doubt that the public schools will now accelerate their attempts to make all children subjects of the radical Far Left social engineering Marxists that run our education systems. Now they have government supporting them and see that as a mandate for even more radical agendas to shape the minds of children as young as preschoolers. They will be taught to be openly anti-Christian, anti-moral, pro sex perversion and taught to undermine parental authority through state backed intimidation.

People who leave their children in public schools will see their own children turn against them and the Christian values that they hold. Children will be told to report parents that do not follow the government agenda to authorities. Churches and parents had better rise up now and take their nation back or they will become targets of their own children. Their own enemies will be those of their own household.

Parents ignoring this for whatever reason have given up their God given responsibility of raising up their children to the State and they are doing it for their own selfish convenience, or because they themselves do not believe what God said, or because they do not care enough about their children to be informed, or because they are cowards. If your church is not actively addressing this public education problem it is time to find a new church.

Abandon ship: Run from the public schools!

Sadly, many parents are either unaware or unwilling to see the true depravity of today’s government schools. Although many well-meaning parents may rationalize sending their children to secular institutions, there are big reasons to remove them from these public stumbling centers immediately.

Public school is where the “blind guides lead the blind” (Matthew 15:14) in centers of secular-humanistic indoctrination. This is no longer up for debate. The research is in. Please make yourself familiar with the following research: The National Study of Youth and Religion by Smith and Denton (2005), The Southern Baptist Council on Family Life Report (2002), and the 20 years of study by Dan Smithwick and the Nehemiah Institute with over 40,000 youth who professed to be born-again. The facts are mind-boggling! The American church is currently losing between 70-90 percent of the next generation. The vast majority of our children’s worldviews have been decimated, the inevitable result of nearly 1,100 hours a year of teaching that runs antithetical to Christianity.

E. Ray Moore of Exodus Mandate, at the forefront of this battle for the last 11 years, wrote the following: “… the lion’s share of converting and witnessing is accomplished through the public education curriculum, peer pressure from other children – most of whom are non-Christian – and educators who implant (either subtly or obviously and conscientiously or unconscientiously) their humanistic, neo-pagan or New Age doctrines within the minds and hearts of Christian children.” One recent Barna study shows that if current trends continue, in 10 years church attendance will be half of what it is today. Parents: the pagan institution down the street may have sports activities, marching bands, school plays, homecomings, proms, et cetera, but in light of eternity, do they really matter? Is not your child’s soul worth so much more?

Sending our children to public schools clearly causes them to stumble in their walk with God. The answer is not more youth groups, children’s ministries, or even a teaching series by our pastors. The answer begins with parents loving their children more than they love the convenience or tradition of their local public schools. We must spark a debate within our churches. Since it appears that many of our Christian leaders and pastors – the shepherds – are afraid or unwilling to tackle this topic, then let the sheep address it, and let them begin now.

The facts, Scripture, and plain reason clearly demonstrate that when parents send their children to today’s public schools, they put them in harm’s way. Evidence and history have shown it is a fool’s errand to try to reform the schools – a waste of time, money and children. It also runs contradictory to God’s Word. In the words of Martin Luther, “My conscience is captive to the Word of God … to go against conscience is neither right nor safe.”

Let us come together as the Body of Christ, repent and honor the Lord by raising our children for God’s glory! Before another precious soul stumbles and falls away, let us stop leading our kids onto the pirate ships and work together to rescue those who are already on board. It is time to abandon ship.

I agree with what Chuck Baldwin is saying. The Conservative movement is dead and trying to raise it from the dead in the Republican party will just raise a dead man walking. The Republicans did nothing but make a mockery of Christian Conservatives over the years. What Conservatives need is a new “Heartland Party” that is solidly conservative and the time to build that Heartland Party is now.

If we waste our time with the tested and the failed Republican establishment we are fools. If you put your hope in a woman in Alaska like she can ever get elected in this nation through the Republican establishment without embracing their agenda you are wrong. If you think she can change the entrenched Republican establishment you are wrong. She would just have to embrace their agenda like she did with McCain or she will get no support. If you put your hope in Newt Gingrich running the Republican party the Republicans might even win a election someday but nothing will change for Christian Conservatives. The Republicans will still just go along with the progressive agenda like they did for the last forty years. Gingrich is just another opportunist and globalist who has drank the global warming Kool-Aid that will bring more taxes and control on everything and everyone. It will be Republican business as unusual if Conservatives stay with the Republicans.

We need radical change and that means a Christian/Conservative Heartland Party that is formed from the grass roots of rural people in America. There are fundamental value differences between Americans in rural areas and those living in big cities and in the high density coast lands. We need a party that represents the conservative and Christian rural people of heartland America.

The time to start this new party is now and all time wasted trying to resurrect the Republican Party is wasted time. All we need is the support of ten percent of the people of America to get this new Heartland Party off the ground and in a position of national attention by 2011-2012. When god fearing Christians and true conservatives see that there is a viable alternative to the Republicans they will abandon the
Republican Party like rats from a sinking ship. But A new party that represents the Heartland will never happen if nobody ever tries to bring it about.

For all intents and purposes, conservatism–as a national movement–is completely and thoroughly dead. Barack Obama did not destroy it, however. It was George W. Bush and John McCain who destroyed conservatism in America.

Soon after G.W. Bush was elected, it quickly became obvious he was no conservative. On the contrary, George Bush has forever established himself as a Big-Government, warmongering, internationalist neocon. Making matters worse was the way Bush presented himself as a conservative Christian. In fact, Bush’s portrayal of himself as a conservative Christian paved the way for the betrayal and ultimate destruction of conservatism (something I also predicted years ago). And the greatest tragedy of this deception is the way that Christian conservatives so thoroughly (and stupidly) swallowed the whole Bush/McCain neocon agenda.

For example, Bush and his fellow neocons like to categorize and promote themselves as being “pro-life,” but they have no hesitation or reservation about killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in reckless and unconstitutional foreign wars. By the same token, how many unborn babies were saved by six years of all three branches of the federal government being under the control of these “pro-life” neocons? Not one! Ask the more than eight million unborn babies who were killed in their mothers’ wombs during the last eight years how “pro-life” George W. Bush and John McCain are.

As a result of this insanely inconsistent and pixilated punditry, millions of Americans now laugh at the very notion of “pro-life” conservatism. Bush and McCain have made a mockery of the very term.

Across the country, rather than stand on principle, hundreds of thousands of pastors, Christians, and pro-life conservatives capitulated and groveled before John McCain’s neocon agenda. In doing so, they forfeited any claim to truth, and they abandoned any and all fidelity to constitutional government. They should rip the stories of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego out of their Bibles. They should never again tell their children, parishioners, and radio audiences the importance of standing for truth and principle. They have made a mockery of Christian virtue. No wonder a majority of the voting electorate laughs at us Christians. No wonder the GOP crashed and burned last Tuesday.

Again, it wasn’t Barack Obama who destroyed conservatism; it was George W. Bush, John McCain, and the millions of evangelical Christians who supported them. And until conservatives find their backbone and their convictions, they deserve to remain a burnt-out, has-been political force. They have no one to blame but themselves.

And since it is unlikely that the Republican Party has enough sense to understand any of this and will, therefore, do little to reestablish genuine conservative principles, it is probably best to just go ahead and bury the scoundrels now and move on to something else. Without a sincere commitment to constitutional government, the GOP has no justifiable reason to ever govern again. Therefore, put a fork in them. They are done. Let a new entity arise from the ashes: one that will stand for something more than just “the lesser of two evils.” As we say in the South, That dog just won’t hunt anymore.

Dr. David R. Reagan gives his discerning thoughts about the 2008 election. I totally agree with what he is is saying. I would point out that one of the reasons that only 59 percent of the eligible voters voted is that neither major party gave Conservatives and true Christians a candidate that we could vote for. We must never let that happen again.

We may only have one more national presidential election to get this right or in the out years we will find ourselves trying to elect an opposition leader in a fascist like climate of Putin’s Russia. Even in 2012 the playing field and the rules officials will give the Liberal home team a huge advantage. The only way we can succeed is by a huge grass roots conservative effort. Our nation has just elected the most pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, anti-Capitalist, and anti-Israel president in our history. In short, God has given us the kind of leader that we deserve — the kind we have been begging for. The new President now has the power to put his radical secular imprint upon this nation for decades to come through the appointment of activist liberals to the Supreme Court. I fear that our nation has been irrevocably changed for the worse.

Two factors in this election were particularly disappointing to me. First was the fact that only 59% of eligible voters bothered to vote. That was less than in the last presidential election. How could people be so apathetic in an election so important? The second voting statistic that hit me hard was the revelation that even among self-identified Evangelicals, the majority voted according to economic considerations rather than moral ones.

The financial woes of our nation are not going to be solved by any economic strategy, for they are rooted in our spiritual rebellion against God. We cannot kill babies in their mother’s wombs, promote same-sex marriage, produce filthy movies and TV programs, worship the dollar, and pressure Israel to give up its heartland, and expect God to bless our economy. Our economy will be healed only when we as a nation get right with God.

Our Recent Financial Collapse

In 2003 I wrote a book about the United States in Bible prophecy. It was entitled, America the Beautiful? In that book I presented several scenarios to explain why the United States was not mentioned in end time Bible prophecy. I stated at the time that the one I thought would be most likely would be a catastrophic financial collapse. That conclusion was based on the fact that the god of our nation has become money, and the true God of this world is a jealous God. I felt like our Creator would sooner or later touch our false god and destroy it if we did not repent.

As I pointed out in my book about the U.S. in prophecy, the Bible reveals that God has a pattern for dealing with nations. He is the one who creates them, and He is the one who decides when they are to cease to exist. He blesses as they are obedient to His Word, and He disciplines when they stray from His Word. His discipline will first of all take the form of raising up prophetic voices to call the nation to repentance. If this fails, He will resort to remedial judgments. Those judgments can take many forms, such as natural disasters, economic calamities, and defeat in wars. And sometimes a remedial judgment can take the form of giving to a nation the kind of evil leadership it deserves. If the nation still refuses to repent, God will deliver it from judgment to destruction.

What are we as Christians to do in the face of such set-backs for our nation? We are to pray and stand for righteousness. We must pray for national revival, and at the same time, we must be willing to take a stand for righteousness by speaking out boldly about the moral rot that has infected the soul of our country. We need to pray that God will frustrate, confuse, and defeat all the efforts to further secularize our nation and promote immorality.

We also need to pray for the salvation of our new President and all his family members. Despite his protestations to the contrary, Barack Obama is not a Christian, nor has he ever been. I can say that with confidence because he is a member of the most liberal Christian denomination, the United Church of Christ. This is a church that denies the divinity of Jesus and denies His statement in John 14:6 that He is the only way to God. No one can be saved apart from Jesus, and no one can be saved by putting their faith in a false Jesus

Is the audio of the interview just another ridiculous rumor, as his supporters are claiming? Hardly. Obama’s voice is clear, his words concise. So the obvious question is: Why is the Obama audio not all over the major media outlets? Why not get it out there and let people hear the words of the man who may be the next leader of the free world? Sorry, I forgot. The MSM has been in the tank for Obama all along. And if Obama’s true intentions are exposed, people may vote for Sen. John McCain or another candidate — or not at all. The MSM fear rocking the boat. With this election neck and neck, their boy could lose.

Dave Daubenmire sees the hypocrisy of the vast majority of Christian blacks voting for a black candidate just because he is part black. Had he inherited his mother’s skin color I doubt if he would be holding any office, yet running for President.

The real point is why would any Christian vote on basis of skin color? That is racism. Christians should be voting for those who will advance the cause of Jesus Christ in this nation and voting for a leader that will allow Christians to live in this land in peace. They should not be voting for someone who will continue to make them slaves of government and their own black overseers.

Popular theory has it that over ninety percent of black Americans will vote for Obama. If that is not racist, I don’t know what is. Is there any other “voting block” as monolithic as the blacks?

What if ninety percent of whites voted for the white candidate? Can you imagine the howls from the wolves in the media? Only blacks are permitted to be racist. If a black votes for a black candidate because of the color of his skin it is considered a “vote of pride.” If a white man votes against a man because of the color of his skin he is considered racist. Go figure.

Hal Lindsey believes this election will determine the path that America will take in the future. He gives many statements from our forefathers that warn us that a free people cannot take the path of big government control over the people. That position of course is correct.

One party in this election has obvious intentions of departing from the government that was set up by our founding fathers. So if you vote that party you would be more correct to call yourself a Marxist/Communist/Socialist than one who believes in our democratic constitutional republic. The other party is on life support. That is proven by the liberal choice they nominated for President. The main redeeming factor is the Vice Presidential choice of that party. It could be that should this party win that this person will bring America back toward the values of our founders before irreparable damage is done.

Today I read a report from a journalist that said if Obama losses there will be a civil war. She claims the voting is rigged by the Republicans. If anything, the voting is rigged in favor of the Democrats by the election fraud actions of ACORN. If people riot and burn because their man loses a free election they will have departed from our constitution and must be dealt with by those who enforce our laws.

However, I have more news for this journalist. If the Democrats win and the Democrats try to force a unconstitutional government and their immoral ways down the throats of Americans there will also be a civil war. That right was given to us in our Constitution and the writing of the Declaration of Independence.

Due to the departing of many from Christian values with the resultant immorality and socialism America is now a very divided nation and civil war is certainly possible, but if it comes it will come because of those who have departed from the law of the land. Civil war is certain if people try to overthrow this Republic from within the government or from without the government. Law enforcing people in this nation have sworn to defend the Constitution of this Republic against all enemies foreign and domestic - and most of us will.

As a “Watchman on the Wall,” I believe Election 2008 will permanently determine the future path America will take. I fear that most Americans do not understand the true issues they are voting on.

Among other things, this election may determine whether the government will be empowered to forcefully take money earned by some Americans and redistribute it as it chooses to others.

As I have taught before for 50 years, there are certain divine institutions God set forth in the Bible. They are intended for the good and welfare of all mankind. To whatever degree a people honors these institutions, they will be blessed, preserved and prospered.

First, the institutions of freedom to choose one’s own destiny and the “sanctity of life” – these were enshrined in the U.S. Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

We are given by God, not our government, the freedom to choose our own destiny and to pursue a career that brings prosperity and happiness. Our forefathers knew only too well that a government that is powerful enough to confiscate and redistribute wealth is also strong enough to take away your freedom to choose and pursue happiness.

Thomas Jefferson clearly warned us about this: “Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have.” In this election, we are making a choice – either continue to pursue our own destiny and well-being, or give the government the power to establish a “welfare state” in which it slowly takes over our basic freedoms.

The party on the right, the Republican, desires to hold to a society grounded in Judeo-Christian principles and Capitalism, based on the principle of equal opportunity.

With regard to moral values, the left wants to remove religion from the public arena, suppressing it to the privacy of the home. The left desires absolute freedom of abortion, special rights for homosexuals, same-sex marriage, and limitation of conservative freedom of speech through the passage of so-called “hate crime” legislation and the implementation of the “fairness doctrine” in broadcasting. The left is also determined to prohibit the teaching of Creationism as an alternative to Evolution.

The right opposes unlimited abortion and special rights for any group. The right also believes in the freedom to speak out on any issue, trusting that truth will prevail when there is an open market place of ideas.

The left desires to require public education and then use the public school system as a propaganda forum for its secularist agenda. The right believes that parents should have the freedom to educate their children at home, enroll them in private schools, or send them to public schools. And the right believes that a school, whatever its nature, should be a place of education and not propaganda.

The left has a vision of transforming the Supreme Court through the appointment of judges who will interpret the Constitution to mean whatever is convenient for the advancement of a secular, socialist society. The right desires justices who will faithfully interpret the Constitution to mean what the Founding Fathers intended.

In foreign affairs, the left seeks to diffuse nationalism in favor of regional and international integration. The left admires the secular European values produced by the French Revolution. And with regard to national security, the left has placed its hope in diplomacy rather than armaments.

The right believes in preserving the integrity of American values and identity. It believes that a strong military is the nation’s best defense and hope for peace. It resists the multiculturalism that is so attractive to the left.

If the right does not start standing up and speaking out boldly in behalf of Judeo-Christian values, Capitalism, and equality of opportunity, we will soon find ourselves living in a nation like Great Britain. It was once the center of world Christianity. Today, only 7% of Britains attend church in what has become a thoroughly secular, socialistic society where individual freedom is severely curtailed in behalf of “the common good.”

I do not know why people are afraid to call the Far left in this nation what they are. They are Marxist Communists. They often quote right out of the communist manifesto. Tolerance demands that you not only accept the other worldview but that you value their worldview—unless, of course, their worldview is Biblical Christianity. Diversity or sensitivity training is about the normalization of the homosexual lifestyle.

Multiculturalism is not the study of many cultures but the criticism of the Western Culture and its founding worldview of Christianity. Multiculturalism also desires to destroy patriotism.

Feminism is not about equal rights for women but about the destruction of a patriarchal society in favor of a matriarchal society.

The best way to combat political correctness is to expose it for what it really is—Cultural Marxism. Equally important in defeating this anti-Christian, anti-American worldview is to not comply with its mandates. Call homosexuality what it is—sin. Expose feminism for what it is—anti-family, anti-father. Expose tolerance as moral relativism and intolerance toward those who don’t conform to their dictates of tolerance. Expose sensitivity training as an attempt to destroy freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Point out to your family and friends the consequences that cultural Marxism has had and is having on our faith, families, and freedoms.

Unless you desire to live in a country where the middle class has been destroyed and we are under the tyrannical thumb of a small group of cultural elitists who control every aspect of your life, then you had better speak up. That’s a pretty sad song Clay Aiken and Ray Boltz are singing. Their “coming out” is seen by many as a cause for celebration. But my wife and I are not celebrating. We have both repented of this sexual sin. We belong to Jesus Christ, and we rely on His Word.

When I was thirty eight years old, I was informed my father had AIDS. I discovered that he had had a secret life for decades. Once having learned this, much of his misery, his desperate drinking, and his fear and anger began to make sense. My father sobered up in his later years, went to a psychiatrist who convinced him homosexuality was normal, and died of AIDS in the late 1980s. He was in a coma the last three days, and I hold to the hope that Christ came to him.

While I hadn’t known about my father’s secret sin, he never knew about mine. In the early 1990s, I traveled to New York, prepared to fully commit myself to a lifestyle I never did feel right about. I could not seem to escape it. It was a demonic dimension of drag queens, transsexual bars, and drug and alcohol drenched nightclubs. While I am not purposely trying to provoke anyone, neither am I going to deny there is something very strong and very evil behind our nation’s ever-escalating celebration of sexual perversion.

The Lord in His mercy sent a Christian couple to the shelter where I was staying. They knew exactly what I was up to, and ministered powerfully to me. For years the Lord helped me as I fought this thing.

Once upon a time in America a man’s word was his bond, most people had Integrity. People did not even need contracts a handshake was reliable. Today, even if you have a written contract you have little guarantee that those who entered into the contract will even attempt to fulfill it. About one half of Americans simply cannot be trusted anymore.

I have been observing this trend toward a nation of people who lack integrity for quite some time. I guess you might blame it on postmodern thought where morals and truth are said to be relative. Nonetheless, hiding behind the philosophy of relativism does not mean that these people do not actually know the difference between good and evil. They really do, they simply choose to be selfish liars.

The root causes of the lack of integrity in America appears to be selfishness and having no empathy or love for others. Many people just no longer care what their own actions do to others. It is all about “me” and that is why this is called the “me generation”.

Some might think the lack of integrity is limited to mostly the younger generation but that is not true. Lack of Integrity is found across the board. It seems that all age groups have now become infected with this selfishness through media brainwashing, bad example and permissiveness where there is very little negative consequence for doing what they know is wrong.

I guess on a Christian website we should first point out the lack of integrity of many of our Christian leaders. I am not going to get into self centered liberal, postmodern or legalistic theology in this article. They are subjects beyond the scope of this article. There have been obvious signs that there is a major problem in the lack of integrity in the clergy across denominational lines when top “Christian” leaders are constantly being exposed as pedophiles, fornicators, homosexuals, hypocrites, greedy, con artists, liars and thieves.

You would think our so called “men of God” would be above such things but apparently many are not. What you see on the news are only the high profile cases. That is only the tip of a iceberg. The sins of “Christian” leaders run deep and many so called fishers of men, ship’s have been sunk due to lack of integrity.

The next president has only to complete the process of transition in Iraq, win the war in Afghanistan, face down a resurgent Russia, continue to keep its foot on the throat of stateless Islamist terrorism, stop Iran from going nuclear and figure out what to do about the challenge from China - the most serious threat to US global hegemony since America became top nation.

Oh, and I didn’t mention Pakistan. Conversations this week with advisers to both campaigns suggest that both now see Pakistan - especially after last week’s terrorist attack in Islamabad - as perhaps the most intractable and serious challenge of all in the next few years: they candidly admit that no one has much of a clue what to do about it.

I come from a world where belief is powerful - small-town, hardscrabble America. I have relatives whose faith is embedded in exuberant communal worship and public celebrations of redemption and joy. Washington, the professorate and the media not only don’t understand such believers, they despise them.

Earlier this week, I watched, sickened, as CNN did its best to excite fear of Palin’s religious beliefs.

for all the joyous noise at those Alaskan churches, I’ll bet my life that none of the pastors who preached to Palin over the years ever shouted “God damn America!” or blamed the United States for the world’s ills, or accused our government of creating AIDS to kill black Americans.

None of the bigoted, hate-filled rants of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright have been replayed to counterbalance the mockery heaped upon Palin’s religious background. Of course, Wright’s anti-American tirades fit the worldview of the Dems’ left-wing base - so Obama got a pass when he claimed that, over 20 years, he never heard any hate speech in Wright’s church.

SACRAMENTO - The Episcopal Church in California is taking up arms against Proposition 8, an amendment that would change the California constitution to preserve the integrity of marriage as being between one man and one woman. In the process the U.S. branch of the Anglican Communion is clashing with a huge interfaith coalition, including Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Hindus and Sikhs, which is simultaneously launching a campaign to promote the proposition.

the bishops of the Episcopal Church in California have joined the ranks of those working against Proposition 8. All six bishops in the state will officially protest the traditional marriage amendment, according to the Sacramento Bee. The Right Rev. Marc Handley Andrus, Episcopal Bishop of California, held a press conference at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral on Wednesday to represent the church’s position, “calling for compassion, love and equal protections” for homosexual couples.

Rev. Andrus will be joined by the Right Rev. Steven Charleston, Assisting Bishop of California, the Right Rev. Barry Beisner, Episcopal Bishop of Northern California, as well as other California Episcopal bishops, clerics and laypeople. Rev. Charleston, when asked whether he would yield to a call from the leaders of the worldwide Anglican Communion to return to traditional marriage values, said that he “would accept schism” rather than abandon the homosexual agenda.

In contrast, a large number of faith communities in California have publicly united in avid support of Proposition 8, and are warning voters that the continued dominance of homosexual “rights” in California law will inevitably lead to the marginalization of religious rights. The Orthodox Union (O.U.), one of the largest Orthodox Jewish organizations in the United States, points out that what appears to be freedom for homosexuals in fact means that religious people will ultimately incur the penalty of law for voicing any public opposition to the homosexualist agenda. “Religious institutions and people face charges of bigotry and could be denied government funding and more if same-sex marriage becomes the law of the land,” said the O.U. in a statement.

The California Episcopal Church’s unified effort to hoist the banner of homosexual “rights” marks the further dissolution of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which has continued to fracture under the pressure of liberal and conservative bishops vying for the helm of the Anglican faith, causing congregations to dwindle.
