Would Christian repentance in America heal the land or would national repentance be required?

No Gravatar

This article really should be two articles but since the topics relate to the same problem of repentance in America I will try to integrate them. The question is, would Christian repentance in America heal the land or will national repentance be required to heal the land? Too often I hear teachers and preachers say that if Christians will humble themselves and pray God will heal our nation. Is that really true? We will look at this presumption later but first I want to deal with a related issue.

Often you will hear the slogan that “We must take America back” It sounds good but who do “we” take America back from and to whom do we give America to? The usual answer is that we give America back to “we the people”. Have we the people of America really lost America or did the American people actually create the America that we live in today? I think it is the latter. The American government today really reflects what most Americans wanted from our government over time.

It was the American people that elected the people that took much moral law and God out of the affairs of our nation. Now some people say they want morality back but they will not deal with the sins in their own lives. So how is morality even possible when the majority of people in this nation want evils absolutely identified in the Bible to be allowed in society? They even permit evils to be openly promoted to their own children and expect some moral outcome?

Most Americans could not even agree on what it is that God requires from a people and a nation. Only four percent of Americans have a Christian worldview. So any god brought back into America today would just be an empty suit anyway. He would be somewhat like many of our political leaders and even some of the clergy that claim to believe in God or claim to do His work but display by their actions and words that their god is not God.

It was most of the American people that wanted big government social welfare programs. People in this nation want cradle to grave security provide to them by a government as flawed as themselves. In fact, people in this nation demand so many things to be provided for them by government that the government is continually spending more than they have to give it to them.

Now some have been shocked by the economic downturn and realized that if the nation continually overspends there will be consequences so they are rebelling against the consequences instead of dealing with their own avariciousness and lack of responsibility that helped create a government made in their own image. Now Americans are pointing fingers at the politicians they elected claiming that they have been framed by the image made in their likeness.

Many Americans were living beyond their means and gambling on the come line believing their winning streak would never end. When the dice came up craps they could not believe it and like the spoiled boomer generation they are, they wanted and still want the government they created to bail them out and restore their fortunes.

Many do not even care that the bailouts mean that their children and grandchildren will have to pay the cost for them to continue to live beyond their means. The future generations of Americans will pay for this spoiled boomer generation either through inflation or a systemic collapse of the economic system and a great depression.

Now that many have been hit in the pocketbook they want to stop paying the bills period. That really is the main reason for the rise of the Tea Party Movement. There really is no common agreement among the people in The Tea Party Movement other than they want less spending and lower taxes. But in the spending area don’t dare touch any program like Social Security or Medicare because it impacts the old people that make up most of the movement and don’t cut defense because this movement is make up of American patriots so we need to continue to spend more than the whole rest of the world combined on the military.

The real theme coming from the majority of people in this nation is to tell government to stop spending more than they are going to take in, but don’t cut nothing that I want, and do not tax me to pay for it, and don’t borrow the money to pay for it either?

This entertaining article was written by someone who was at the Tea Party convention. The article should make it clear that the Tea Party Movement is no more united on the issues than are most Americans. It seems the main thing they have in common is that they are fed up with the politicians that most of them elected.

Does anyone really think that electing Sarah Palin or anyone else is going to fix America without a change in Americans? Can evangelical Christians (whatever that means today) actually take over a hedonistic America? Would non Word Faith evangelicals even support Palin when they find out that Rick Joiner would be her prophet Czar giving her direct messages from God? (think about it.) I bring that up because even the Christian evangelicals would not be united against the most popular right wing figures.

Heck, if you could even elect someone from the right wing in America (which is highly doubtful in today’s America with all its government dependents) it will just spawn a new movement from the left to oppose what you are trying to force down their throats. So I think the Tea Party movement is going nowhere because it is going to splinter into factions and even if it succeeds to be sucked into the Republican elephant it will not bring significant change until the majority of people in America actually want that kind of change.

As long as the spoiled Spock babies of the baby boomer generation (that showed their real stuff during the Hippie Movement) are now in the majority change for the better in America is not going to happen.

Let’s say the majority of the country moved conservative and elected conservative leaders would that change the lack of morals of the American people? Would the American people then just negligent the poor dependents that they created in prior administrations? They would do so at the risk of massive riots followed by a police state. So no, you cannot just change all the rules in the middle of the ball game or take the ball and go home and act as if the home team had no part in the nation’s past fiscal irresponsibility when the government has always been the government that the people elected.

Any nation anywhere on the political spectrum is doomed to judgment if evil people prevail. It is more a moral and immoral issue than a Left or Right issue. We should throw both parties out and have a moral and immoral party. One would be based on the truths of the Bible and the other would oppose them. That would make the lines clear to all Americans. Yet, I think when people found out how it will impact their own lives the majority in America would willfully elect the immoral party into power, for we Gentiles living in the flesh are just as rebellious as the people of ancient Israel.

America is a secular country. America in general is using natural means to deal with a world actually controlled by the supernatural. America does not in general try to use spiritual means to war against spiritual forces that have control over the natural world. America does not even acknowledge that these forces exist. So America is powerless when spiritual forces in high places come against her. This nation is only going to bankrupt itself by trying to police evils everywhere else in the world when by our own natural strength we cannot even police the evils going on in our own cities at home. The American empire will soon go into the dustbin of world history like all the empires before it unless there is national repentance and spiritual intercession.

If all  Americas would repent like the people of Nineveh there could be a delay in judgment but that can only come if God sends America a prophet and the people listen.  How about the ongoing message from the Spirit filled Church in America, does it qualify as a prophetic message to this Gentile nation? Are the people of America listening to God’s people and repenting? I think not.

Christians ought to know that our weapons are not carnal. We should not believe that Americans that are still living in the natural could live morally as if they had the Spirit. We Christians need to fight the spiritual war against wickedness in high places through the method outlined by Paul:

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

True Christians in America are only a small majority of the population. We are not going to make America Christian or make Americans less worldly through natural means. The only way we can actually change America at all is by spiritual warfare. There is no reason for God to cure natural problems of a nation that are the result of the sinfulness of the people of that nation unless they repent of their sins.

This brings me to the other issue I first spoke of when I started this article. I know there are many true Christians that think that if true Christians in a nation repent and pray that God will heal the nation. That is false presumption based on a verse ripped out of proper context.

2Ch 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God was not saying what many well meaning Christians imply. He was talking about the nation of Israel. “My people” at that time was Israel and the statement implies that if the nation of Israel repents God would heal their land. It was not saying that He was going to heal the land of Gentile nations if some Christians in their nations repented. If you read the text in full context God also pronounces judgment on His people and claims that His people will worship other gods and be exiled. If you are going to apply this verse to Christians then apply the rest of the passage to Christians as well.

This really is a prophetic covenant promise to the Nation of Israel at the establishment of the Temple of God in Israel. Most of what is described in the passage occurred to Israel in the history of Israel but the need for repentance before Israel can be restored still applies to Israel today.

God judges nations based on the actions of the people in the nations. Christians can be salt and light in a nation and be spiritual intercessors so the leaders of this nation will make the right decisions for the sake of God’s purposes on earth. But, even in intercession our prayers need to be within God’s will for the nation. Also remember that are real home is in Heaven not here. God certainly is not bound to answer prayers that really amount to being selfish prosperity presumptions for the nation.

If Christians really wanted repentance in America they now would have to be praying for the opposite of prosperity blessings for America. There is no history of repentance coming through more prosperity. That is about as valid a thought as the thought that prosperity comes from spending more and going further in debt.

Actually, if the Church of God repents it will produce works of the Spirit and that indirectly might help a nation to be blessed materially but let’s not get the cart before the horse. The only effective way that Christians can heal and change America is to be used by God to convert unbelievers. It is not the Christians that need to repent to save America. It is the whole nation that needs to repent and believe God. Christians in America need to tell them that.

Writing without any rhyme or reason

No Gravatar

One of the problems with a blog it that you have to post regularly or you risk losing your audience and your rankings with indexes like Google. However, there are those times that you simply do not have anything you really want to say at least nothing you want to write about in great detail. This is one of those times. Many things are going through my head but probably nothing worth writing on that I have not already written about.  Therefore, I am posting without any rhyme or reason and even I do not know what I am going to say today.

I hope all the people in Washington that hate global warming enjoy their snowstorm this weekend. Many of you politicians might move to another country and save us a lot of grief.

Looks like I will soon be buying some acreage in the middle of nowhere. I already have 20 acres in the middle of nowhere but I can see four lights at night. That is four lights too many for me. Another problem here is the house. In the Ozarks there are no building codes and the houses are usually built by handymen without plans and the houses turn out to be kind of weird. Actually some not so handy men build very weird houses around here. I live in a fairly weird house built by one of the above but I would now like to get my own not so weird house built where I can actually sit on the deck and have a view off the deck and not see any trace of humans or hear vehicles on some road. A house with big windows would also be nice so I can look out the window while writing these blogs without any rhyme or reason.

One of the issues I will have building on this remote property is that the nearest power line is 3/8 of a mile to as much as 3/4 of a mile from where I might want to build on the new property. The other problem will be keeping the road passable year around for the same distance. It goes down and up a big hill. It probably would make sense to go off grid rather than pay the cost of bringing in a power line but here in the Ozarks sometimes you do not see the sun for a week. Wind does not seem like an option either because we either get a lot of wind or hardly any wind at all.  I thought of fuel cells but the price of that technology is still way to expensive and so it seems out of the question. Any suggestions?

I found out this week that my first dog (Sparky – terror mix) has bone cancer. She has been a great dog and will be missed when we have to put her to sleep but right now she is in no pain and is living on sweet breakfast cereal and cookies since sweets are the only thing she will now eat. She certainly will not be around to see the Rapture coming before 2012. I don’t think my second dog Bubba will make the 2012 deadline either since he is a big dog and he is already over 11.  I believe the great prophecy teacher Jack Van Impe said that your pets will go in the rapture so it just has to be true. Right? So there is hope for my other four dogs.

Now a little about the economic recovery that is being hyped. Hahahahahahahahaha. Seriously, they obviously are reading tea leaves and are not reading what I am reading. Take a look.

The other shoe will fall on their stupid heads fairly soon. Wait to you see the number of property defaults coming this fall. How does government come up with the $1.5 trillion that will be necessary this year to pay for their previous government binges and also pay the 2 trillion budget shortfall projected this year? Simple. They just print $2 trillion of the 3.5 trillion. Think of the implications of governments printing and paying their debts with monopoly money.  There are only two reason why foreigners are still holding on to U. S. Treasuries (they are not buying them any more). They know if they suddenly start selling there will be a panic and they will lose their butt before they can get rid of all the dollars they hold. The other reason is that countries like Japan, Britain, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, etc are in worse debt shape then we are. The reason there is a rally in the dollar right now it that some nations are in real danger of going into default this year. That is a recipe for a world depression but who knows if the world power brokers want a depression followed by a world war to bring in a world currency or world hyperinflation and civil upheavals? Honest people disagree on how this will play out. But there is no possible way to ever pay off the debt with dollars valued at anything near what they are worth today.

I read a good article today about how almost all Christians in America are infected with the prosperity gospel. The last thing in the mind of Western Christians is suffering or sacrifice for the sake of the gospel. Western Christianity promises people abundant living in the flesh. Even most of those that tithe in the West hold God accountable to give them riches in the flesh because in their mind there is some kind of spiritual law that gives them worldly riches if they give ten percent.

I heard that Obama’s speech at the national prayer breakfast was so inspirational that everyone probably hopes he will never show up again. You can search for his speech on Google yourself. He never did mention Christ at the prayer breakfast but we already know why that could not happen.

I also read the usually on Iran and what we will or will not do about them. No experts seem to agree. This one writer I read argued that Israel will soon threaten to use nukes to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities in order to force the U.S. to take them out conventionally. Who knows? My guess is that we will do nothing unless someone is attacked.

I also read about global warming and what a farce it is but nothing is new there except the continuing revelations about certain people cherry picking data so it will please the global warming taskmasters.

I read an excellent article written by Dr. Norm Geisler and Dr. Ron Rhodes chiding the Christian Research Institute (CRI) and Hank Hanegraaff for supporting a cult of Christianity called the Local Church (LC) movement (aka. The Lord’s Recovery and Living Stream Ministries) in a court lawsuit against counter-cult ministries. Apparently John Ankerburg  and John Weldon labeled the LC movement as a cult in their Encyclopedia of Cults and New Religions so the LC movement sued them and Harvest House for over a hundred million bucks. The LC movement lost the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of Texas. This is not the first time that Hanagraaff’s actions and theological positions have been questioned by his peers and other notable Christian theologians.

In the  article that you can find below Dr. Geisler and Dr. Ron Rhodes rightly question Hank Hanegraaff  and CRI for defending the LC movement in a civilian court and for Hanegraff’s position that the LC movement is orthodox when as they point out in the article the LC theology is not within Christian Orthodoxy.  Seems the LC movement has a very unorthodox view of the Trinity and thinks all denominations are apostate but Hank Hanegraaff was supporting the movement in court calling the LC movement solidly orthodox. You will find the rather long article written by Dr. Geisler and Dr. Rhodes that explains the abberrent doctrines of the LC movement and CRI’s inconsistent positions on the LC movement on Dr. Geislers website under “articles”. It is the first article on his list at the time of this writing. (Sorry, his website does not allow direct linking to articles)

Well there you have it. I think I have completed my Blog mission for today even if it was written without rhyme or reason.

Iran: Imminent Revolution or Imminent Bombing?

No Gravatar

Like many fellow Bible prophecy students, for a couple of years I took the position that Israel or the United States will bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities “any day now” The bombing in my mind was imminent. If you remember many thought that Bush would do it before the election primaries and then before the election and then before leaving office.  If anyone was going to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities the best time to have done so was before Iran acquired the nuclear know how. However, that did not happen.

If anyone should bomb Iran today it would not achieve much since Iran already has the nuclear know how and they could rebuild their efforts in just a few years.  Today we really would have to invade and occupy Iran to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Does anyone think that the American people would tolerate an occupation of Iran after Iraq and Afghanistan? Further, in Bible prophecy we see that Persia comes with Gog (Russia) against Israel in the latter years. This could not happen if Iran was occupied by the West.

Therefore, I no longer think it is likely that Israel or the United States will bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities, at least it is not imminent (so having said that, it will probably happen tomorrow). There are a number of additional reasons why I no longer believe that Iran will be bombed even though I know that some fellow students of Bible prophecy will disagree with my analysis.

There is the start of a revolution going on in Iran. America is going to wait to see how it plays out before we get ourselves in another war. Many think the green movement in Iran will be crushed by the Mullahs. Others think that this will turn into a full fledged revolution and that the end of the Islamic regime is inevitable. Whatever the truth of the outcome, I do not think we are going to bomb Iran or allow Iran to be bombed by Israel until this Iranian green revolution fully plays out. We may get a clue where this is going when millions of Iranians take to the streets on Feb 11.

I think the United States has made it very clear to Israel that we will oppose any unilateral actions at this time. Israel is not stupid. They know they cannot fight the entire Middle East without the support of America and the leaders of Israel have no faith in God so don’t expect them to rely there for help either. I think Israel would have to have hard evidence of weapons grade uranium being produced in Iran before any attack would be authorized and if they actually did have such proof then America would be with them.

Since Iran cannot be allowed to have nukes and there is nothing in Bible prophecy about Iran until the Gog invasion I am now inclined to believe that Iran will decide not to develop nuclear weapons. I believe this most likely occurs because there will be a popular secular revolution in Iran. Then, in order to become a full member of the world the people of Iran will choose to convert the nuclear weapons program to a peaceful program and allow international oversight.

Next on the agenda for the Middle East is probably the Psalm 83 war. That war is now imminent. It will bring the destruction of most of the military forces of the Arabs. It will probably be kicked off by Hezbollah. Sure Hezbollah is supported by Iran and Hezbollah is chomping at the bit to go at Israel but Hezbollah knows they need Syrian and Iranian support to succeed.

If Iran has a revolution Hezbollah will lose Iranian support and they will have to fully rely on Syria and Arab nations. Then the players of the war of Psalm 83 are fully in place. Iran is not mentioned in Psalm 83 but all the Arab nations around Israel are.

Certainly there  is a possibility that the Mullahs of Iran could try to kick this war off to forestall the revolution in Iran but doing so might also be the catalyst for the Iranian people to throw off the Mullahs rather than see their country destroyed. Especially if they should see Damascus in ruins (Isa 17:1) because Syria used weapons of mass destruction against Israel or hit their nuclear reactor spreading radiation on the people. If Iran was involved I would expect the same fate for Tehran but there is no hint of that in Bible prophecy. So either Damascus is a demonstration to Iran to cease or more likely Iran is not involved in the war at all. Remember that Iran is not Arab, in fact the Persian people and the Arabs have no great love for each other. It will not take much for Iran to turn against the Arabs if the Mullahs are out of the way.

Today even under persecution the common Iranian people are becoming increasingly open to the gospel. There was an article on this in the latest Voice of the Martyrs Magazine. So rather than a imminent bombing of Iran I now expect a revolution in Iran and a window where the gospel can be preached until some future time when Russia leads a great host of nations against Israel in the Gog war.

Nevertheless, we cannot be dogmatic about these speculations and your opinions about the fate of Iran and how this will play out may be better than mine. So you are invited to present your food for thought here and I intend to butt out unless I am actually asked something.

Here is some food for though from an astute Iranian about what he thinks will happen in Iran. Is Regime Change coming to Iran?

What happened in Iran on Feb 11? Is Revolution by the people still coming?

Did the green Revolution in Iran fizzle or was it just invisible to the selected media?

New Age Christians applauding as believers are thrown to the lions

No Gravatar

How can there be any hope for America when many in America calling themselves Christians are also promoting and even embracing New Spirituality/New Age doctrines? We might expect that from unbelievers in America but we have people who claim to be Christians promoting and believing Satanic doctrines?

How did “Avatar” become the highest grossing move of all times without support from Christians in America? I know for a fact that “Christians”  support this blasphemous demonic move and tell others that they should see it because they liked it. Nevermind, that this film promotes New Age pantheism and is anti-Christ. Nevermind, that supporting these anti Christian movies just encourages others to make more of them.

Just throw in some eye candy or a little tickle of the ears and some “Christians” apparently will support the teachings of the Devil. They have no discernment and do not know the scriptures! Avatar is just the latest of many movies that distort and mock Christianity and promote demonic doctrines but New Age “Christians” are right there applauding in the new coliseums as the lions are set loose on true believers.

From Avatar and the Coming One World Religion on Lighthouse Trails website

Overall, the movie is strewn with ritualistic magic, communion with spirits, shamanism, and blatant idolatry as it conditions the audience to believe these pagan occult lies. In addition, the audience is led to sympathize with the Avatar and even ends up pulling for him as he is initiated into pagan rituals. Even the lead scientist becomes a pagan in the end, proclaiming that she is “with Eywa, she’s real,” and goes to be with her upon her death.

Given James Cameron’s track record of attacking Christianity, and specifically Christ’s resurrection in the roundly discredited documentary, The Lost Tomb of Jesus, it should not be surprising that he would write and direct a $300 million dollar propaganda piece that promotes the worship of nature and spirits.

Clearly, Hollywood has had a steady hand in turning America away from her conservative Christian roots to new age occult beliefs and practices. Pantheism appeals to the Hollywood crowd because it teaches that we are all God and that we need not be concerned about being obedient or accountable to a personal God who created the universe. However, it is not only Christ-rejecting directors who are seeking to get the world to embrace the worship of the earth under the guise of their imaginary Mother Earth Goddess; it is also the leader of the global warming movement himself, Al Gore.

With leading Hollywood directors and Washington political figures leading the way, America is quickly returning to the paganism that shrouded the world in spiritual darkness for millennia. May God help us heed the warning of the apostle Paul, found in Holy Scripture, who warned that the worship of nature in ancient times was the result of turning from the worship of the one true God who created nature in the first place:

No need for me to just pick only on Avatar the New Age paganism is now everywhere, It is even in the churches. How did the Twilight Series get so popular or the Harry Potter movies if American people do not want the occult? It is not just novels, there also are the “Christian” supported New Age teachings that are found in Books like “The Secret” and “A New Earth”. American Christians that watch Oprah makes her a big success and it does not seem to concern these New Age “Christians” in the least that Oprah promotes pagan doctrines that are contrary to true Christianity on her show.

Many of these same “Christians” also watch the TV prosperity teachers and attend their coliseums on Sunday where they throw truth to the lions for their own personal gain. Other New Age “Christians” go to Emergent Churches where they teach New Spirituality mysticism and make it acceptable by calling it contemplative prayer. They also subtly redefine Christian absolutes truths like sin, hell, and salvation to conform to politically correct universalism and pantheism.

Seems to me that “Christians” applauding the New Spirituality Movement are very ignorant of where this doctrine originated. Actually it originated with Satan in the garden and later became a religion in Babylon. The New Age version of this Babylonian religion was partly inspired by Alice Bailey and is now promoted by her many students. The New Spirituality Movement has become the new religious movement of hedonistic people that worship the created rather than the Creator.

Read what Ray Yongun has to say about this

In a manner of speaking, I consider Alice Bailey as an apostle of New Age occultism, and her writings as mystical revelations. She is telling the world the path it will be taking and how it is going to be done–in essence, a combined manifesto and blueprint. The fact that much of what she predicted has indeed actually happened gives even greater credence that her work really could be the design for the one Paul called “the son of perdition.”

Various church statements reflect Bailey’s dark prophecies that speak to the “revitalization” of the churches. Even now a recent Catholic dictionary states: “Current ideas about mysticism underscore that it is for the many, not just a chosen few.”11 An article in America, a national Catholic magazine, shows the result of this mysticism in regard to evangelization. The article, titled “Rethinking Mission in India,” states the spirit is active in Hinduism as much as Christianity and therefore both religions “are co-pilgrims on the way to fulfillment.” 12 The significance of this is clearly revealed in the following view from the same article:

Any claims to superiority are damaging. Religions need not be compared. All we are expected to do is to serve man by revealing to him the love of God made manifest in Jesus Christ.13

What is happening here is a complete turnaround regarding the meaning of evangelization. In truth, if you want to reveal to man the love of God, made manifest in Jesus Christ, you proclaim the blood of Christ for salvation! … [But] the view that Christianity is not the only religion that offers salvation fits the Merton/Nouwen notion of salvation rather than the one the apostles of the New Testament held.

Some day, and it could be soon, the Lord will allow the man of lawlessness to emerge. In the mean time, the world is opening its arms to wholly embrace a spirituality that will exist under the umbrella of mysticism. The correlating theme will be–we are all One. When the man of lawlessness does rise to power with a one-world economy and political base, he will seduce many into searching for their own Christ consciousness rather than the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Full article

Even many “Christians” claiming that they are following Bible prophecy are often really following New Age beliefs.

Dr. Hitchcock: All the 2012 hysteria can be traced back to José Arguelles back in 1987 when he came out with his book called The Mayan Factor.

He talked a lot about Harmonic Convergence at that time. After all, the real underpinnings of this whole 2012 phenomenon really is based in the New Age. In fact, this has been called by some “The New Age Eschatology” and the end time view of the whole New Age Movement. Just like the other religions of the world all have some view of how things are going to end. 2012 is from the New Age viewpoint.

Full Article

I hope this article will help Christians become very aware of two things.

First, much of Christianity in America is about one inch deep and that does not say much for the future of this nation no matter if the Left or Right is in charge running government.

Second, the world is being prepared for a New Age/New Spirituality Antichrist. The Antichrist will not be monotheistic.  He will honor the God of forces (Dan 11:38).  The lie of Satan from the beginning was that men can become like God. Thus the Antichrist will  claim to have evolved to fully contain the God force within himself.  In other words, the lie will be that God is a force and you become one with God when you attain Christ Consciousness.

So knowing these things any true Christian should stop applauding while other believers are being thrown to the lions in the new coliseums of the world.

12 steps into the apathetic Laodicean Church Age.

No Gravatar

I believe there are seven separate subdivisions within in the Gentile Church Age and that Jesus identifies each era by a certain church type. Jesus has messages to each of them in the seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation Chapters 2 and 3. I also believe the letters had meanings to  seven historical literal churches to whom the letters were given and the prophecy also gives instruction to all in Christianity.

But for the purpose of this post I will reflect on the prophetic applications where this Bible prophecy in Revelation is of Jesus dealing with the church types that identify with Him throughout the Church Age on earth. One might even call the letters Book of Acts 2. Seven letters that speak about the Church through time by Jesus before the prophetic message even happened. (The instruction in sequence to the seven churches is how I believe it did play out in history.)

The seven churches in Revelation are Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. I give a full explanations of these churches  in Chapters 2 and 3 of my Revelation commentary. In short, the seven churches and church ages are:

  • Ephesus – The apostolic church
  • Smyrna – The persecuted church
  • Pergamos – The church goes into harlotry with the world
  • Thyatria – The reign of the Papacy in this harlotry
  • Sardis – Protestantism separates from Rome into denominations but nearly dies as it questions the infallibility of the Bible and becomes occupied by many living in almost dead religion and ritual
  • Philadelphia – The missionary orientated church preaches the good news to the world and looks for the Lord’s soon coming
  • Laodicea – The rich lukewarm apathetic churches of modern times living like life on earth today is their main hope and thus living in false security.

I firmly believe that the church type that represents most Christianity today is Laodicea. It is true that Thyatria, Sardis and Philadelphia still represent many Christians on earth today but we saw them peak and many in these churches are rapidly moving toward the Laodicean example.

For example, many Catholics (identified with Thyatria) have abandoned the teachings of Catholicism for doing what is right in their own eyes. For many the religion is nothing more than a ritual, tradition or a way to appease their own sin guilt. They largely pick and choose which Catholic doctrines they will follow and reject whatever does not suit there fancy.

A Second example, is the liberal mainstream old protestant denominations (Sardis). These churches are declining in members and dying because they just go through rituals and usually teach some social gospel. Many members that were going to these churches were joining the Bible churches but now they most often they are joining with the Laodicean seeker and prosperity mega churches.

The next example is the Philadelphia missionary Bible churches. They are still alive and well, but I think its best days have now peaked.  Most here are now focusing on the soon return of Jesus Christ and for good reason. Jesus implied they would in his letter to them in Revelation.

Laodicea is the real church age that we  live in today and it is the last church age before Jesus returns. I wrote an article on the Laodicean age a couple of years ago and it still applies. Although I think Laodicea is the church era of today I do not think that the whole Church will be identified with it, but there is a rapid influx from the other three latter day church types into an obvious Laodicean Christianity. They are largely the seeker friendly and the emergent churches that are conforming to the world, watering down doctrine and introducing deceptions in order to attract large numbers of questionable believers.

Since many people love twelve steps to almost everything these days. I will give a twelve step program into apathetic Laodicea. The hope is that you take heed and do not travel down that stairway because Jesus barfs up this latter day lukewarm church.

12 steps that will bring Christians to Laodicea

  1. Choosing to reject fellowship with a local body of Bible believers
  2. Become too lazy and undisciplined to read the Bible on your own on a regular basis
  3. Not taking regular time to get alone to communicate with God (rote prayer does not count)
  4. Choosing to attend a church where the gospel of salvation is not taught and there is no equipping or maturing of the saints
  5. Believing that emotional trips or obsessions over disputed doctrines brings about Christian maturity (even Bible prophecy)
  6. Doing nothing for nobody – not giving offerings for the work of Christ on earth
  7. Believing those who claim that God must give you riches on earth if you follow their teachings
  8. Believing that you can have a better relationship with God through certain mystical techniques
  9. Choosing not to learn from more mature Christians
  10. Allowing evil to reign on earth because you think you should be doing nothing to protect others
  11. Never talking about or displaying your Christian beliefs to others
  12. Expecting any interfaith 12 step program to actually bring you to spiritual maturity

Fostering the Spiritual Reformation Movement for the Emergent Subversive Church

No Gravatar

Top Christian subversive, Richard Foster, leads the Spiritual Reformation Movement and Richard Foster is also held in high esteem in the emergent subversive church movement. So whats the big deal about the Spiritual Reformation Movement and the Emergent Church? Only that spiritual reformation concepts and the contemplative prayer concepts of the Emergent Church Movement are much the same. This, “get in touch with your own spirituality movement” really comes from practices found in Buddhism, Hinduism and and Roman Catholic mysticism. They all descended from the practices of ancient Babylon. It has nothing to do with concepts taught in Christianity and the Bible.

The concept of spiritual reformation as I understand it, is that they believe one can become closer to God by meditating on their own inner spirituality or god feelings.  Jesus may not even be required by these emergent subversives because they think some Buddhists and Hindus have developed spiritual reformation without Jesus.  Most “Christians” that are into this conjure up a Jesus of their own liking rather than the one revealed in the Bible since most either never read the Bible or they have not understood that the whole Bible is about God’s salvation through Jesus. Thus, they mediate on some Jesus of their very own making that will mystically whisper things they want to hear in their minds eye while in an altered state of conscientiousness.

But, I have emerging news for those emergent’s that are doing this. You cannot become more like God by meditating on your own concept of god. There are no mystical short cuts to Christian spirituality. You only get Christian spirituality through being born of the Spirit and then you grow toward spiritual maturity by living out your faith in practice. You cannot  become more spiritual by trying to become more spiritual any more than you can develop faith by claiming faith. You cannot become closer to God if you are still dead in your sins. Other religions have never come to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sins so they cannot have a path to God, they only have a path to their own self deception.

What they never tell you in all the spiritual reformation and contemplative prayer teachings and seminars is that you are a sinner separated from God and you must repent of your ways and be saved through the blood of  Jesus Christ.

Some of what is going on in the Emergent Church Movement reminds me of the old Charismatic Church Movement that thought they could attain a higher spiritual level by just making up their own reality. They called it a “second baptism”.  So what new levels of spiritual maturity have they achieved over the years over other Christians that never bought into their “second baptism” delusions? They thought this would bring them into a relationship with God where they could heal, do miracles and tell each other the future. Instead they often believed false presumptions that are still being displayed to the world with healing circus performances, laughing hyenas and false prophets. Some still think they are “Joel’s Army” or the “Third Wave” and they are going to take the world for Christ by spiritual force, but they display that they do not even have the weapons of spiritual warfare to defeat the devils in their own lives and in their own local congregations. There are no short cuts or mystical paths to spiritual maturity. You do not develop spiritual maturity though a ritual or by believing false presumptions and you do not get spiritual maturity through contemplative prayer and spiritual reformation.

All these new movements are really just putting fancy new covers on the same old book of mystical lies. The Spiritual Reformation Movement and the Emergent’s are just finding common ground to become part of the larger Interfaith Movement. The Interfaith movement is being pushed by people like Tony Blair that recently converted to Catholicism, and then started a Interfaith foundation to find common ground among world religions. Tony Blair also wants to be head of the EEU. This almost sounds like something out of Bible prophecy. The woman (interfaith harlot religion) rides the Beast (That come out of the area of the Roman Empire)

Here is something I found in Jan Markell’s article:

The East is Seducing the West.

Pastor Bob DeWaay writes in his Critical Issues Commentary, “I met a lady who attends a Christian college. As part of her study program, she was required to take a course on spiritual formation. Spiritual formation in her class also concerned the study of Roman Catholic mystics and the search for techniques to help those who implement them feel closer to God. This study also explored ’spiritual disciplines’ which promised to make those who practiced them more Christlike. After she finished the class, she shared her text books with me.”

He continues, “To hear evangelicals like Dallas Willard and Richard Foster tell us that we need practices that were never spelled out in the Bible to become more like Christ or to get closer to God is astonishing. What is more astonishing is that evangelical colleges, seminaries, and church denominations are requiring their students and members to study practices that are relics of Medieval Rome, not found in the Bible, and closely akin to the practices of manry pagan societies.”

You need to understand that this spiritual reformation garbage is being pushed by many Bible colleges. So is it any wonder that so many young pastors teach this stuff to their congregations? By the way, while I am on that subject, why do churches hire pastors (elders) right out of Bible college to be the elder of their church? How did Bible colleges become the proving ground for spiritual qualifications to be the elders of the local Church? Now you know why there is more and more error being introduced into western Christianity. The spiritually immature are put in positions to teach and mislead, all the way from Seminaries and Bible colleges to our local congregations and small groups. Everyone thinks they have a young Timothy leading them but more likely their leader could be named “Trial” or “Error”.

In the same article quoted above Jan Markell gets it correct when she says:

So while the term spiritual formation sounds like a good concept as we all want to grow spiritually, it comes with questionable baggage that is, once again, mystical and hardly sound. Ask questions of your church leadership or college staff. Challenge the issue by pointing out that much of this foundation has been laid by mystics and Catholicism – and throw in some Buddhism and Hinduism as well.  You will then conclude that when the term spiritual formation comes up as it does more and more frequently, it should have a “buyer-beware” label on it. If you see your church bulletin announcing its arrival, don’t just sit there — do something. Confront your leadership!

Such things as the Bethel University symposium on “meditation” and the spiritual formation movement are driven by what is known as “contemplative prayer.” Contemplative  (mystical spirituality) is the heartbeat of the spiritual formation movement.  It is more likely to derail you spiritually than draw you closer to God.  Don’t believe them when promoters of spiritual formation tell you that this will take you to a higher level of Christianity and to a new level of spirituality. New spiritual programs aren’t necessary;  rather, hearts yearning to grow in the knowledge of the Lord simply from reading the Bible. We cannot get any “closer to God” than Jesus Christ indwelling us through His Holy Spirit!

On the same subject look what Jan has to say about her own school in her article “When Students are Left to the Wolves”

I wasn’t prepared for what I was about to hear the evening of November 3. My alma mater, Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, sponsored an Interreligious Symposium promoting some kind of “common ground” between Buddhism and Christianity. One would think if a Christian had an ounce of discernment, they would deduce that Christianity has nothing to do with Buddhism and such unions are playing with fire. But a panel concluded that there was “common ground” when it came to “meditation.” Granted, this kind of meditation could put one in a dangerous altered state of consciousness, but maybe that’s ok as long as we can find a bit of unity here! Some would call this common bond of meditation “contemplative prayer.”

About 200 students and a few adults were crammed into the symposium auditorium. Attendance by the students was mandatory. The three main presenters were Buddhist monk Witiyala Seewalie from Sri Lanka, Bethel professor Paul Reasoner who is a part of the “Christian Zen” movement, and Ted Meissner, an active Buddhist layman and meditator in Zen, although he grew up in a Christian home.

The push was “meditation.”  But being a Buddhist means becoming conscious of one’s own divinity. This was not clarified. Had it been clarified, it could have sent out a huge red flag to questioning students at Bethel.  So why would Christians get on board with this kind of meditative enlightenment when acknowledging one’s own divinity for a Christian would be idolatry and an abomination to the one true God?

The students were encouraged to do meditation that would silence or empty their minds. Keep in mind that some who promote this kind of meditation such as Richard Foster, actually tell you to pray a prayer of protection over yourself before you begin! Yet there was no warning to innocent and naïve students and again, attendance for most there was mandatory.

We heard a lot about those ancient mystics and desert fathers. Here we go with the mystical again, and mysticism always trumps doctrine. Bring on “experience”!! Another panelist talked about the Jesuits he studied under. Is Bethel a Baptist-rooted university or Catholic-rooted? Try the former.

A symposium like this is leading these kids straight to the Emergent Church which goes along with all of the above. And if anything will bring spiritual death, it is all things Emergent. The step beyond that is the one-world religion.

Brannon Howse also has a defining view of this emerging church threat in this article promoting his book.

The Emerging Third Way of Apostate Pastors and Globalist Leaders

The pastors and authors of one of America’s fastest growing spiritual movements, the Emergent Church, sing the praises of socialism. As I’ll explain in more detail later, the Emergent Church champions the neo-Marxist call for a utopian society through spiritual evolution where good and evil merge to form a “better” third option. This idea derives from the belief system of philosophers such as Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and finds its contemporary manifestation in the “Third Way” movement of Bill Clinton and Tony Blair. In the Third Way, capitalism, socialism, and communism merge to form a misanthropic combination of the three. This blending is now represented in the terms “the New World Order” and “the new enlightenment.”

The Third Way promotes Communitarianism, a toxic blend of communism, socialism, atheism, and Cosmic Humanism. Communitarians believe in universal health care, government-subsidized housing and education, radical environmentalism,Fabian socialism, and the like.

The bottom line is that the Interfaith Movement, The Emergent Movement, and the Spiritual Reformation Movement is leading to the Harlot of Revelation chapter 17. We see that one pied piper named Tony Blair converts to Roman Catholicism, starts an interfaith foundation and also wants to be the head of the EEU and meanwhile the emergent rats just follow his tune and march over the cliff to spiritual malformation.

Chuck Norris a Champion and Christian American patriot for President

No Gravatar

I think people should start promoting Chuck Norris for President of the United States in 2012. Chuck Norris is about the only popular Christian patriot and national figure that is saying all the right things about getting America back on the right track.

Some may say he is not qualified to be President but neither is Obama or Hillary, But I say, who is more qualified than a proven real American champion and political author and commentator that has shown that he understands the critical issues and dangers that face our nation and also offers real solutions to fix them? It certainly will not be a professional politician.

Lets run a real American for president that learned through the school of hard knocks, not those with a silver spoon in their mouth that elbow with the elite and become professional politicians . If we go the professional politician route again in 2012 you know it will be the same old thing. The Democrats will run Obama or even Hillary if Obama because too unpopular and Republicans will come up with some candidate of compromise. Most of the Republicans that the Republican party would put up are moderates but now with the Far Left in control of America even Republican moderates are labeled as conservatives by the media. Nevertheless, electing a moderate will not stop the creeping socialist agenda to making American’s slaves of world governance by elite power brokers.

I like Ron Paul but he will never have broad popular appeal and although his foreign policy could work if we lived on a different planet we live here on earth. Our main enemies are out to kill infidels and take over the world for Allah. Another enemy of America is International socialism with a worldview that would make Americans subjects of world governance by the enlightened elite. These threats will not just fade away if we withdraw from the world. Ron Paul needs to wake up to the fact that these kind of people do exist in our world. In our generation they have become a dire threat to America even if  he is correct that American policies helped to create them. These Islamic radicals are not now just going to leave us alone  if we pull our troops  out of their region of the world. Doing that will only allow them to consolidate and arm themselves with weapons of mass destruction. Such a policy would certainly lead to World War III.

Ron Paul’s isolationist foreign polices would only work if he were president of  a United States that no longer existed. After a break up of the American Union I could see Ron Paul become one of leaders of a resistance, but I really think our priority now is to try to try to prevent the break-up from even happening.

That means it is time to throw all the liberal socialist bums out of Washington. They are all controlled by Internationalist think tanks, and exclusive clubs of the world elite and money. We in the United States needs to elect a popularist leader that answers to no one but God and the people of America. I see Chuck Norris as being that type of man. He  is a patriot, a fighting martial arts champion, an unashamed evangelical Christian, and he has written books about how to put America back on the right track and back under the Constitution “Black Belt Patriotism” comes to mind. Chuck Norris is not going to roll over like George Bush Jr and Senior, he will be fighting for the nation our forefathers set up and he will be fighting for the American dream that enticed our forefathers to locate here.

Last year when Chuck Norris was actively supporting Mike Huckebee for President. I was saying to myself it really should be the other way around. Mike Huckebee is a good man but he is too entrenched in party politics. A man like Huckebee really needs to get behind someone that is strong enough to lead a radical agenda to take America back. We need a new Ronald Regan but this time with a congress that will support him rather than one that is doing everything they can to oppose him. Mike Huckebee would still be a good Vice Presidential candidate or a cabinet adviser for Chuck Norris. In today’s world, Presidents do not need to know everything they just have to be good leaders and make decisions that are best for America and adhere to our Constitution. Presidents must be able to pick good men that will advise him and give sound advise. American Presidents should be perceive by the world as a strong leader that will speak and look out for the best interests of America. Other nations may not agree with our position on world issues but there should be no doubt about our resolve to see them through. Bullies that like harming people should find nowhere to hide.

So how do we get Chuck Norris to throw his hat in the ring? It will not be easy since he has no desire for the job and all the nonsense that would come with a campaign. However, even for jury duty the people of the nation do not ask you if you want to serve. It is your civic duty to serve when you are called. If the people of this nation call on someone to lead this nation a true patriot will not say no.

So there is going to have to be a grass roots effort to get the Chuck Norris for president movement going and people are going to have to put their money were their mouth is and people will have to let Chuck Norris know that they we will not take no for an answer. God raised up champions to lead nations back to Him after they went astray. This nation needs such a champion of freedom and of morality to lead our nation back to what is right and decent and constitutional. Chuck Norris could be that man. The greatest challenge for Chuck Norris as a champion may still be in the future fighting for God and country? So everyone, lets give this some thought. We will even let Chuck Norris spend most of his time in Texas if he becomes President.

You may think that Chuck Norris only appeals to Conservative Christians but that would not be true. He appeal to Conservatives, Libertarians, Veterans, Evangelicals, Catholics, Patriots and many others. There really are more of us than there are of them. His biggest challenge would not be getting elected if he were on the ticket. I think it would be a clean sweep once his views become known across the nations. His biggest challenge would be just getting on the Republican ticket. If Norris cannot get on the Republican platform then when Texas secedes from the Union, Chuck Norris can run for President of Texas and many that are feed up with the path the liberals have taken America will join him there.

Any advise about how we can see this done?   Here is a petition you can sign

Onward de-sissified Christians soldiers marching off to war singing Hey Hey, Ho Ho, the far left radicals have to go.

No Gravatar

After You read this article you will simply know why I had to post it. I did not want to steal all of Coach Dave Daubenmire’s words here so you will have to read the full article to get the full impact of the new offensive line that he proposes. Too bad my home team, the Buffalo Bills, don’t get it, or most sissified Christians for that matter. Its time for Christians to march on all the left leaning houses in the land singing Hey Hey, Ho Ho, the far left radicals have to go!

  • De-sissified Christians should be more like a Fox when it comes to presenting the good news.
  • De-sissified Christians should place their money on God’s home team.
  • De-sissified Christians need to take their churches back from the sissies that feminized Christianity.
  • De-sissified Christians need to be Oath Keepers.
  • De-sissified Christians need to get rid of the girlie tunes in their churches.
  • De-sissified Christians need to get out of their comfort zone (the pews with their names on it)
  • De-sissified Christians need to take a yard here and ten yards over there, maybe across their own street -  forget the Hail Mary.
  • De-sissified Christians need to throw the bums out. That might start with your church leaders and your local politicians and end with the President.
  • De-sissified Christians need to keep others accountable for their actions. WE DO NOT ALLOW PREDATORS to prey on our woman and children, sexual predators or otherwise!
  • De-sissified Christians need to have an offensive line and I don’t mean just – Hey Hey, Ho Ho, the far left radicals have to go.

I could go on but I think you get the idea.

Dave Daubenmire — Let’s Try Something Different

WARNING: May contain language too harsh for sissified Christians.

Silence isn’t golden…it is yellow. –Zell Miller

“Unless I am convinced by proofs from Scriptures or by plain and clear reasons and arguments, I can and will not retract, for it is neither safe nor wise to do anything against conscience. Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me. Amen.” — Martin Luther

From Timothy Leary to Jerry Ruben, Bill Ayers to the Beatles, Cassius Clay to The Chicago Seven, Harvard Divinity School to Journalism Schools, “leftists” pledged themselves to the “religion” that dominated their lives. “Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Western Civ has got to go.” Our parents laughed them off as rebellious children…dirty misfits who would eventually come to their senses.

Some did, but many were true believers, committed to proving to the rest of us that “God is dead”, and proselytizing a moral anarchy called liberation. We couldn’t see it happening, or didn’t want to, as they infested America with the original swine flu that turned American children into hedonistic pigs.

The radical Left was a fringe movement in the 60s, comprised of politically marginalized and socially outcast hippies. Their joke-of-an army consisted of racial minorities, militant feminists, out-of-the-closet homosexuals, environmentalists, student radicals, atheistic intellectuals, counter-cultural revolutionaries and the antiwar movement. Now, four decades later, their once marginal far-left views are normal, mainstream, a cultural majority, and the philosophy of the Obama White House. How did they do it?

They were more faithful to no god than we were to our God. They gained power through persistence and resistance, perversion and conversion, indoctrination and inoculation, organizing and mobilizing, imitation and humiliation, elections and defections, associations and regulations, and infiltration and manipulation. While the “right” voted for candidates, the left became candidates. While the religious argued over Truth, the left re-wrote the truth. While “conservatives” gave to their kids, liberals gave to their causes. The election of Barack Hussein Obama symbolizes the long march of 60’s anti-Americanism sold as “change.” The radical left, birthed from the idea that you couldn’t trust those in power, have seized power.

In April of 2009, James Dobson of Focus on the Family admitted that the cultural war had been lost. “We are awash in evil and the battle is still to be waged. We are right now in the most discouraging period of that long conflict. Humanly speaking, we can say we have lost all those battles.” All one need do is view the evidence of the 60’s outcasts’ effectiveness.

Had enough yet? Are you ready to trade in the old defense for a new offense?

First, get our Christian leadership to get rid of the nicer-than-Jesus image. Clean out the pulpit and get rid of the hirelings who are more concerned about butts and bucks than they are about truth and justice. Demand that your churches begin to organize politically…across denominational lines and raise up, run, and support men of character and integrity who will put an end to the self-serving foolishness going on in America today. I say enough already of the effeminized Christianity.

Bring back the tell-it-like-it-is mentality. No more pussy footing around the issues for fear of “offending” somebody. Silence is the muzzle of dissent. Bring back that “old time language” because words are the weapons in this new “sanitized” warfare. Start speaking the words “homo, communist, pervert, liar, thief, border jumper, sissy, traitor, sodomite, idiot, bum, queer,” and the rest of the words that the NEA and their mafia has declared illegal. Do it often and in public.

Take it to the streets. Every anti-American deviant lifestyle proudly marches down our streets in their latest version of perversion on parade. It is time for the new “counter culture” to flood the streets with gun-toting concealed-carry holders, flag waving veterans, and home school moms chanting “Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Political Correctness has to go.”

I appreciate Dr Dobson and his buddies and all that they tried to do. I’m sorry the team he was coaching lost. I hope he enjoys his retirement.

But I’ll be damn if I am ready to quit. Defeat only hardens my resolve. The way I see it the 2nd half kickoff is just getting ready to start and this time our offense is going to take the field. Let’s get rid of all of the Republican cheerleaders and their Pom Poms. The boys are back in town…

Support the Oath Keepers they are American patriots protecting us from global governance.

No Gravatar

The “Oath keepers” are in the news and being painted by some as right wing radical nuts. Your going to hear more about this rising movement of oath keeping patriots that only intend to obey the oath they once took to uphold the Constitution of our land. You better believe that the elitists running our government and media will attempt to demonize them.

The liberal elite running our nation are being controlled by globalist world power brokers and the Bill of rights in our Constitution is an affront to their ideal of a secular socialist global governance that controls everyone and everything. They know that the world elites cannot control all the people as long as the common people have reasonable weapons of self defense. Therefore, the first agenda of elitist control freaks is always to disarm the citizens so they can force their oppressive agendas on everyone with government police powers.

They have already successfully carried out this disarmament program in most countries of consequence. However, the United States is the big holdout and you can be sure our second amendment is high on their priority list to be taken away or twisted to lead the gullible to believe that the second amendment means something other than what are forefathers clearly indicated it said. They will certainly attempt to do this very soon so the world elite can force global governance on Americans.

So if you are a traditional American that believes Americans have the right to bear arms to protect themselves from criminal tyrants, in or out or government, support the “Oath Keepers”. If you ever swore to uphold the Constitution of our land you might join this rising movement of oath keeping American patriots formed to protect your freedoms and liberties under the Constitution. Remember we who took that oath, swore to protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Read what Pat Buchanan has to say on the Oath Keepers.

Traditional Americans are losing their nation

Comes now, the “Oath Keepers.” And who might they be?

Writes Alan Maimon in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Oath Keepers, depending on where one stands, are “either strident defenders of liberty or dangerous peddlers of paranoia.”

Formed in March, they are ex-military and police who repledge themselves to defend the Constitution, even if it means disobeying orders. If the U.S. government ordered law enforcement agencies to violate Second Amendment rights by disarming the people, Oath Keepers will not obey.

“The whole point of Oath Keepers is to stop a dictatorship from ever happening here,” says founding father Stewart Rhodes, an ex-Army paratrooper and Yale-trained lawyer. “My focus is on the guys with the guns, because they can’t do it without them.

In their lifetimes, they have seen their Christian faith purged from schools their taxes paid for, and mocked in movies and on TV. They have seen their factories shuttered in the thousands and their jobs outsourced in the millions to Mexico and China. They have seen trillions of tax dollars go for Great Society programs, but have seen no Great Society, only rising crime, illegitimacy, drug use and dropout rates.

They watch on cable TV as illegal aliens walk into their country, are rewarded with free educations and health care and take jobs at lower pay than American families can live on – then carry Mexican flags in American cities and demand U.S. citizenship.

They see Wall Street banks bailed out as they sweat their next paycheck, then read that bank profits are soaring, and the big bonuses for the brilliant bankers are back. Neither they nor their kids ever benefited from affirmative action, unlike Barack and Michelle Obama.

They see a government in Washington that cannot balance its books, win our wars or protect our borders. The government shovels out trillions to Fortune 500 corporations and banks to rescue the country from a crisis created by the government and Fortune 500 corporations and banks.

America was once their country. They sense they are losing it. And they are right.

The New American National Pastime: Telling and Believing Lies.

No Gravatar

Not too long ago the American pastime was baseball and more recently football but it seems to me that the real American pastime today has become telling and believing lies. lying is a national movement contaminating all sectors of our society. Telling and believing lies is the infallible rule for living in national politics, the scientific community, our educational system, national media, business, and even in religion. It seems most everyone either wants to believe lies or they are deceptive themselves. There seems to be a codependency between liars and their receptive enablers in America.

Our government representatives peddle lies one after another. There is no end to their deception. They say they want to stop government spending but continually increase it. They say they will not raise taxes but raise them anyway through the back door. They say they will be open and accountable but then they do everything in secret. They say they will have a moral administration and then appoint the most immoral people in the nation to positions of power. They swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States but continually subvert what it says. The list is endless.

The scientific community lies when they claim to use the scientific method but their “scientific method” is really controlled by politics and money brokers that give grants to those that promote lies about evolution, AGW, uniformitarianism, keynesian economics, etc. If truthful scientists do not agree with the ruling lying mafia they will be marginalized at best.

The educational system is controlled by secular humanist and Marxist liars that brainwash and indoctrinate the minds of children. Your children cannot get through this lying system without coming out with a lying mind. Even if your children were told and believed the truth they will still have to lie on tests to even get through the system. For example, a person cannot get thought the school system without outwardly agreeing that sex perversion is normal, that they descended from apes and that truth is relative.

National mainstream news media has become the fourth leg of a left wing radical government. They tell people half truths and lies as a means to their end. They do not fairly cover or they downplay anything that might be embarrassing to the administration or their secular humanist Marxist cause. For example, one of the biggest marches on Washington just took place by disgruntled Americans last weekend but you hardly heard a peep about this movement from the national media. If those that marched on Washington were homosexuals or Obama supporters it would have been prime time special news coverage. Other than Fox News, if reporters do not tote the liberal party line and bow at the teleprompter of their anointed ones they can forget about any lasting career in national news media.

In business dealing there is one sure truth. Most everyone that you are talking to are lying through their teeth for their own gain. I do not think I really need to give examples although I could compile a book filled with examples from just those I dealt with in my own life. I think today we have all experienced those who will lie and tell us what they think we want to hear to our face in order to screw us behind our backs. Don’t expect special treatment from most who call themselves Christians either.

Liars tell us that Islam is a religion of Peace while our men go home in body bags because many in Islam take the Qu’ ran literally. Liars tell us all religions contain truth and that all religions lead to God but the truth is that they lead to deception and eternal separation from God. Liars claiming to be Christians tell us that biblical doctrine is not important and that Christian biblical truths needs to be redefined. Liars tell us that God is a force we are part of and we can speak our own realities into existence. Liars also tell us that the Bible is not the word of God, that Jesus was not God, that we do not sin and that Jesus never died for our sins. The list of lies even in American Christianity fills volumes.

The bible says that in the last days people would believe lies. It says that people would say that good is evil and evil is good. We have  certainly arrived. If you have not seen a liar today you probably have been home all day (and have not looked in the mirror). After all, who does not love America’s new national pastime of telling and believing lies?

So I might end on these notes of caution from scripture. But the good news for believers is that all found in Christ are forgiven liars in spite of the new American national past time of telling and believing lies.

Pr 29:12  If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

1 Ti 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Re 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

True Evangelicals become Latter Day Philadelphians?

No Gravatar

I think the ELCA vote to allow active homosexuals to become ministers was finally the straw that broke the camel’s back  for me. I will no longer identify with what is today called the Evangelical movement.

Lets face it Satan first came in with his wolves in sheep’s clothing and so corrupted the mainline denominations with the doctrines of humanism that most true Christian left. Now Satan is well on his way of accomplishing the very same thing with those that identified with the evangelicals  that came out of those near dead Sardis mainline churches.

In reality I think over half of people who call themselves evangelicals today have gone off track and are now running on the road to Laodicea. Their worldviews are not from biblical doctrine because they are playing down Bible doctrine. They love to buy into the psychologies and philosophies of the age and more and more are going off into spiritualism influenced by leaders who knowingly or unknowingly are  in the occult. It is getting so bad that you often cannot tell the difference between the teachings and practices of post-modern evangelicals, World Faith heretics and certain demonic cults.

Even many churches that were once well known as Bible churches have drunk the post-modern Kool-Aid. Are you aware of the conflicts within the Nazarene’s, Baptists, EFree’s, etc. on this issues? It seems to me that many leaders have totally lost their Christian minds or at least their Christian worldview reflects that they do not have the mind of Christ.

Christians that believe the Bible is the only infallible reliable guide for Christian faith and practice and believe that truths taught in the Bible are absolute and that they cannot be twisted so they can be politically correct with the world, cannot continue to identify with these leaders calling themselves “evangelicals”.

So here is my quandary. What do we whom once called ourselves evangelicals now call ourselves? The post-modern evangelicals have split the movement and have now made the term “evangelical” meaningless. Worse yet, these people are now becoming the majority among those who call themselves “Evangelicals.

I have not yet heard a good title to identify those you cannot abide the redefining of Christianity from evangelicals. Some might say just call yourself a Bible believing Christian but that really does not work because they also claim to be be Bible believing Christians even though they twist the words to mean what they want or they pick and chose what part of the Bible they want to believe to support humanistic wordviews.

  • Calling oneself a Christian is not the answer since 90 percent of people that identify with Christianity seem to be Christians in name only.
  • Saying you believe in Christ does not mean much these days since many believe in some concept of Christ make in their own image.
  • Saying your a born again Christian has lost its meaning since most who claim to be born again Christians can not even explain the spiritual concept. Some just think being born again just means they were once baptized in a church.  There is no spiritual change in most to indicate that were ever born again in a spiritual rebirth or that the Holy Spirit indwells them.
  • If you call yourself one who believes in the absolute fundamental beliefs of the Christian faith you will be labeled a  fundamentalist and you mightl also be labeled  a simpleton who checks your brain at the door. Of course that is not true at all but it might not be wise to try to revive a vehicle that Christians already allowed the world to crash and burn.
  • We could call ourselves “the elect” but many that are baptized as infants in liberal churches also claim they are the elect.
  • We can say we are Wheaties, breakfast of champions, but the tares will claim we had a false start.

I know that if we do come up with a new name that Satan will soon try to ruin it. However, I think he may run out of time this time around. I see churches of many different denomination splitting into two camps. I think it will break down this way. There will be those that stay on solid biblical ground and there will be those who stand on the shaky ground of  humanism, spiritualism, subjective theories of men and emotionalism.

So what do we call the people who stand on solid biblical doctrine and truth compared to the others? As far as I am concerned they can keep their “Evangelical” title if they want because they already corrupted that word. We know the correct name for these would be more like “Laodicean Harlot’s for Jesus” but if they are the Harlots for Jesus who are we? I might suggest that we are the Bride and Body of Christ through bethrothal to the King (The two will become one flesh – This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.)

I guess we could call ourselves the Body of Christ but pseudo Christians today also claim to be part of the Body of Christ although they have no blood relationship with Jesus. So I guess that title is not exclusive enough.

What to do? Who knows? I am waiting for someone like you to come up with something. We need a one or two word description that fits and that will catch on with true faithful Christians. Like perhaps “Latter Day Philadelphians“.

What say you?

Southern Baptist membership not showing up at the weekly sugar shack.

No Gravatar

Jim Elliff hits the nail on the head in this article about Southern Baptist churches. Most Southern Baptist members do not attend more than once or twice a month if at all. I cannot do the article justice by the few quotes of his that I quoted below so you will have to read the full article below.

First, I will make my own observations and comments on this subject. They probably will not totally agree with Elliff’s observations and conclusions.

The issue in this article is why Southern Baptists do not faithfully attend their gathering and what should be done about it? For that matter we could be be talking about every other evangelical denomination or church in America. I have been a member of several denominations and I have attended many different churches for extended periods of time. They all have the same problem. Only about a third of those on the membership role show up on any given Sunday if they show up at all. For Sunday night and Wednesday services your lucky if 15 percent attend if they even have such a service. In church business meetings you see the same ten percent show up each month or quarter and most of them are on the board or some committee and have to be there. The rest of the membership apparently could care less about the affairs of their church.

I have been saying all along that over half of the people in evangelical denominations are not Christians at all, nothing I read or observe leads me to think I am wrong about that. When I attend Sunday school and observe that most of the few members that actually do attend do not read or know their Bible it is apparent to me that they are not serious about learning about the things of God. The churches and denominations do not encourage real Bible study either by having magazine studies about the Bible (often Lifeway Bible study material).

First lets take a look at the Membership roles and numbers. Pastors and church boards l o v e  N u m b e r s. It gives them bragging rights. I would not be in error to say that I am still an active member of some churches that I have not attended for years. Many churches simply do not remove inactive members from their roles. So, I would say Jim Elliff is underestimating that factor. The truth is that many churches are only half of the size that they like to advertise.

Next, we have to look at the purpose of the Church. Some in leadership seem to think the purpose of their church is to meet for Sunday ritual and worship. Actually you can worship at home in spirit and truth. The main purpose for the assembly of the Church is for Christian fellowship and for the members in the Body to use their God given spiritual gifts for others in the Body. The main reasons why members do not like to attend the Sunday ritual services is that they often find no fellowship and they just leave empty. Another purpose for the assembly of the Church is for teaching and the building up of each other in the faith. One of the main reasons why members do not attend is that they are not getting biblical teaching and Christian instruction at church. They go to church but hear a seeker friendly gospel lite service or in the Charismatics churches they have an emotional trip but learn nothing. If I joined a food coop to get nourishing food and they only had sweets I am ether going to go somewhere else to get real food or I am only going to get real fat and lazy. Many that attend some churches faithfully are spiritual diabetics or emotional speed junkies it is the healthy people that are long gone. So I am not sure you can even say that the people who attend the services faithfully are the Christians. The Christians might be the healthy ones who got tired of junk food or charismatic amphetamine and left.

Many unstable postmodern teachers teach that Christian doctrine divides and keep us from unity but these people are the real problem in the churches because you cannot have true Christianity unity without agreement on the essentials doctrines of the Christian faith. Here is a fine article  on this doctrine debate. There are many fine points within this article. One section is where Dr. Norman Geisler points out 14 essential Christian doctrines that all Christians have to stand firm on. There can be no unity with those who claim to be Christians but oppose these essential doctrines. The doctrine debate article also points out that those who do not understand Christian doctrine will not have a Christian worldview and that means that God will not a major factor in the choices they make in their everyday life choices. The Bara Group survey claims that where Christians do not believe the Bible is the moral standard of absolute truth only 9 percent of born-again adults and 2 percent of born-again youth have a biblical worldview (two percent of born again Christian youth!!). Here is another article that will give you even more excellent perspectives on what is going on in our chuches. If you wonder why the country is a mess, query the believes of those that attend and lead your own congregations and you will know why.

Lets face it many that are on the church membership roles are only there because someone pressured them into it. Perhaps they had to become a member to get married in that church. Perhaps they joined to please their parents, their family members, or their spouse or even their pastor. Perhaps it was to enhance their standing in the community. Perhaps it was a response to an altar call where peer pressure mind control methods were used. How many churches have you been in where almost everyone is coerced to come to the altar to get saved or rededicate their lives? You feel like the social leaper if you are one of the few people left in the pews that do not respond to such coercion. So when mind control techniques like these are used, and they are used more than you think, don’t expect it to produce genuine conversion. Chances are once these “new converts” see how they were manipulated they will avoid your church like a plague. This is what cults do to build membership. Pastors need to teach the good news for those with ears to hear but only the Holy Spirit can bring people to repentance and true conversion.

So what are the answers? Some of the answers are what Jim Eliiff gives in this articles but that is only part of it. The whole Western Christian mindset has to change. Christianity is not weekly meetings and percentage in attendance. It is a way of community life for believers. I think someone should develop a teaching series that should be mandatory before anyone becomes a member of any Western evangelical church. The series would be based on the daily life of Christians where Christians are persecuted and not allowed to assemble in buildings but nevertheless they find a way to assemble and fellowship with each other daily. The leadership of our Churches need to go back to the ways of Christianity and stop learning the techniques of the world to grow a church and produce worldly feigned success. When the church is filled with true believing Christians, where Christian doctrine is taught the Holy Spirit will lead the people there to learn about salvation but the Holy Spirit is not going to lead people to a sugar shack of diabetic sheep.

What reward will you get from God if you lead a church filled with 10,000 people but the works of the Holy Spirit are absent? It would be better for you that you led a small church where the Holy Spirit was working because then you will certainly receive a reward from God.

Southern Baptists, An Unregenerate Denomination

Like the unfortunate person above, the Southern Baptist Convention has a name that it is alive, but is in fact, mostly dead (Rev. 3:1). Regardless of the wonderful advances in our commitment to the Bible and the recovery of our seminaries, a closer look reveals a denomination that is more like a corpse than a fit athlete. In an unusual way, our understanding of this awful reality provides the most exciting prospects for the future-if we will act decisively.

Although the Southern Baptists claim 16,287,494 members, on average only 6,024,289 people (guests and non-member children included), a number equal to only 37% of the membership number, show up for their church’s primary worship meeting (usually Sunday morning). This is according to the Strategic Information and Planning department of the Sunday School Board (2004 statistics). If your church is anything like normal, and is not brand new, your statistics are probably similar. In other words, if you have 200 in attendance on Sunday morning, you likely have 500-600 or even more on your roll. Many churches have an even worse record.

Discerning who among us is regenerate is not an exact science, but a closer look at these numbers will at least alert us to the fact that most Southern Baptists must certainly be dead spiritually. That is so, unless, of course, you claim that there is no difference between a believer and a non-believer.

We don’t need better methods to get people down to the front. What we need is more biblical content and more unction in our preaching. You cannot beat sinners away from Christ when God is bringing them in (see Jn. 6:37, 44-45). When as many as 70-90% of “converts” are giving little, if any, evidence of being saved after their first weeks or months of emotional excitement, questions should be asked, both about our understanding of the gospel and about our methods. Forget the fact, if you must, that there is no clear biblical precedent for the altar call. Even considering the matter pragmatically ought to make us quit. Though prevalent in our churches for decades, it has not helped us.

The dangerous practice of receiving new members immediately after they walk the aisle must finally be abandoned. Also, more careful counsel should be taken with those entering in as members from other churches. And add to this a need for much deeper thinking concerning childhood conversion. An alarming percentage of childhood professions wash out later in the teen and college years. For unconverted yet baptized church kids, the more independence they are granted, the more they live out their true nature.

4. We must stop giving immediate verbal assurance to people who make professions of faith or who respond to our invitations. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to give assurance. We are to give the basis upon which assurance can be had, not the assurance itself. Study 1 John in this respect. What things were written so that they might know they have eternal life? (1 Jn. 5:13). Answer: The tests given in the book. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit testifies to our spirit that we are children of God (Rom. 8:16).

5. We must restore sound doctrine. Revival, I am finding as I study its history, is largely about the recovery of the true gospel. The three great doctrines which have so often shown up in true revival are: 1) God’s sovereignty in salvation, 2) justification by grace through faith alone, and 3) regeneration with discernible fruit. Revival is God showing up, but the blessing of the presence of God is directly affected by our beliefs. God most often comes in the context of these and other great doctrines, preached penetratingly and faithfully, and with the unction of the Holy Spirit.

Which army would you rather have? Gideon’s first army or his last? No church, and no denomination, should call itself healthy unless more people attend than are on the roll.

Today, in rough numbers, it takes 300 people on our rolls to have 100 attenders. In the 1790s, it took only 33. Or, to put it in larger figures, it now takes nearly 3000 people, supposedly won to Christ and baptized, to result in a church attendance of 1000. Then, it took only 333. Our potency has diminished to such an extent that we must “win” and “baptize” over 2,000 more people to get to the same 1000 to attend.

The emerging emergent threat from postmodern Christians

No Gravatar

While some Christians still get upset enough with government to contract their congressmen and talk about throwing the bums out of office, it seems that many Christians do nothing about the wolves in sheep’s clothing that have infiltrated their own churches.

The threat comes from postmodern leaders with its redefining of Christianity and the Bible. The threat is also known as the Emergent Church. The Emergent Movement now threatens to subvert once evangelical denominations. The Emergent movement is now a major emerging threat in the Nazarene denomination and is also a big threat in Baptists churches and others.

If you do not know what the big deal is about from this Emergent threat click on the link above and read the articles from Eric Bager and find out. Here is also a fair article that generally explains the Emergent Church movement. Not everything about being relevant with the postmodern people of our culture is bad but we must never compromise on the essentials. The Bible must be the final authority for our faith and practice.

Just to point out one example how postmodernism subtly infects the church, I read an article today by Dave Welch on a conservative Christian website about how the Church should hate. The article was talking about the Church hating the same things that God hates. I agree with what Welch said in the article and I am sure Welch does not believe in emergent teaching at all. However, in the article where it quotes what God hates instead of using the Bible, Welch quotes from “The Message”. The Message might be the most postmodern relevant bad paraphrase of the Bible in existence today but it certainly is not the Bible. Are not the six things that God hates clear enough in a real translation that one has to resort to quoting from bad paraphrases of the Bible? Why would an astute Christian even quote from “The Message” anyway? Eugene Peterson the author of “The Message” has no discernment to interpret the Bible because if he had any biblical discernment he would not have endorsed the cover of the heretical postmodern book called “The Shack” ?

Seems to me that the great apostasy is well underway in our church buildings. The wolves in sheep’s clothing are standing in the pulpits and the sheep sitting in the pews do not have enough biblical knowledge to discern the difference between the true gospel and what these men preach. They just follow and approve of everything their pastors do.  After all, these are men of G–O–D.

One example of postmodernism in the seeker movement is Saddleback’s Rick Warren.  I guess he has not been wishy washy enough on all his national platform opportunities already, now he is now going to speak at a Muslim convention to forty thousand Muslims. Now, that would be a great opportunity for a real Christian to give the gospel of Jesus Christ but if Rick Warren gives the gospel at that Muslim convention I will repent and send his church a large donation. I wish he would do that but you know that he won’t, so why is he called America’s pastor? Does he reflect the American Church? Why are Christians even following him? What is our great commission? Seems that most Christians no longer know. What would Paul do (WWPD)? If Paul got the opportunity to speak to Muslims and the world would he talk about what Warren will?  Warren will probably speak on interfaith cooperation and how we all worship the same God. If that is true then why did millions of Christians die for the  gospel of Christ?

If the salt has lost its savior it is good for nothing but to be trampled down and that is why hate speech laws will be passed that will trample down the church in America. “Christians” can only blame themselves.

We need to throw the bums out of our churches and Christian leadership first. Then maybe we will deserve a better government. Don’t expect any grass roots movement to change America if we cannot even get the pew sitters in our churches to install biblical pastors that will preach the gospel of Christ.

One might wonder how this Emergent Church is reaching postmodern young people that they say their programs are designed for? It is not! Churches have lost their youth even with all their postmodern youth pastors and programs. Two thirds of teenagers in Britian now say they do not believe in God. What does that say about how the Church is reaching people with the gospel and the future of Christianity?

It is not that bad in America yet but all polls say it is rapidly heading in that direction. In fact, the majority of church youth that claim to be born again Christians lose their faith by the time they graduate from college. Any astute Christian should know that it is a sin for parents to willing send their kids to our government run schools where they will certainly be brainwashed with godless philosophies of humanistic and demonically inspired men. So why do most pastors not even realize this and teach this to their congregations and suggest alternatives? Could it be because they have become part of the problem with their own emerging postmodern moral relativism?

America may be in a inflationary depression by 2011 and a world war by 2012.

No Gravatar

Gerald Celente is interviewed by Human Events in my quoted article and like usual world trends forecaster Gerald Celente has some interesting things to say. I see things pretty much happening the way that Celente is saying myself. If you see any green shoots coming from this administration’s nutty economic policies you better pick them and convert them into something useful while you still can. Housing is not going to recover with all the unemployment, repossessions, and the now rising interest rates. The interest rates have to rise because no one wants to finance our risky debt anymore. So our government will just print the money they need causing the crash of the dollar and making a great recession into a great hyper inflationary depression.

I do not see any substantial recovery in the next year but the next year will seem like living in good times compared to what is coming. After the hyper inflationary depression starts I see America’s living standards declining to that of Mexico. But, our spoiled brat criminal generation who expect endless handouts from everyone will just burn the cities and take what they want. Then a world war will be necessary so everyone can be enslaved by government in the name of national security. At that time you will see a dictatorship, martial law, script coupons for money, a draft, and rationing of everything. We also might have a civil war and/or secession because some states and some people are just not going to go along with the federal agenda.

Celente thinks the bail out bubble will burst in 2010 and hit full force about 2011 and that sounds about accurate to me. After that you will have civil upheavals and martial law. Then the foreign war will probably come before the national presidential election in 2012 so there will be no election just an indefinite extension of political terms.

I am not saying our government will start that war on purpose but when your in a national crises your enemies come for the kill and it gives reasons to overreact. The U.S. must be economically destroyed and our nation largely disarmed for the Beast out of Europe to gain power over the world. One way to get America to disarm is to destroy her economy by making the dollar so worthless that she cannot afford to make new weapons and also to get America in a world war so she will use up all the high tech weapons that she now has. The war of course will be for the purpose of subjecting most of the radical Muslim nations to the Beast that is rising out of the old Roman Empire. So that probably is why America is not in Bible prophecy.

Anyway I think you will want to know what Gerald Celente has to say. Perhaps David Wilkerson’s vision is also correct.

Exclusive Interview with Future Prediction Expert Gerald Celente – HUMAN EVENTS

Human Events had the opportunity to interview forecaster extraordinaire Gerald Celente, President of Trends Research Institute, several days ago — and the future he predicts looks bleak indeed. In fact, as Mr. Celente sees it, the Great Depression will seem like a mild recession as what waits for us in 2011 hits with the force of a Katrina financial hurricane.

Mr. Celente puts part of the blame squarely on the federal government, and especially FED Chairman Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Geithner, and warns us not to believe a word they say “They’re the same people who didn’t see it coming – are now telling us the worst is over, that ‘green shoots are spouting upwards’. But they were wrong before. They’re wrong on this too”.

“When you pump out tons of money manure into this system based on nothing – printing press paper, it’s like giving a patient with a chronic disease a pain killer — it won’t cure the patient.”

“But let’s go beyond the economics. Our whole Constitution has been abrogated. The president simply writes an Executive Order to do whatever he wants. Nationalize the banks, take over the insurance industry, automobile industry, health care industry…
None of it is constitutional.”

Mr. Celente observes that “people used to think of America as that shining beacon on the hill with ‘liberty and justice for all…’ .” So what happened?

“Morality is missing from our American public consciousness. Start with Wall Street. It’s run by a criminal gang. The only question is ‘how much can you make, how much can you steal?’ At the bottom, the welfare recipient says ‘how much can I take?’ And the government is in on the take.”

“Our society is now based on consumption — 70% of the GDP. This is more than we produce. So to pay our bills, we use funny money invented in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve and the fiat dollar based on credit (debt) — the fractional reserve system. In 1930’s you bought what you could afford. You saved up to buy your home. The easy credit of the 90’s has destroyed the country. Now you borrow what you can’t afford – and the nation’s done the same.”

Mr. Celente predicts the use of printing press money will cause the “greater depression”.

“I predict continuing deflation of real estate, followed by extreme currency inflation — ultimately becoming worthless.

“Our unemployment numbers are also bogus. For example, the construction industry is really above 20% , and the government is creating low-level jobs, not real jobs. The US total real unemployment is more like 16%. Before the crisis is over, it will reach 25% – great depression numbers.”

“When people have lost everything they have nothing to lose. Violence and crime will explode. Look at the OECD figures. The number of people not graduating from high school is exploding — they’re wacked out on drugs. New York City will look like Mexico City in a few years. The collapse of morality from top down — and especially in the government — makes it inevitable.”

“We predict state secessionist movements will rival the breakup of the Soviet Union.”

“The only way we can ever recover is to return to individual community, personal responsibility, local government. Next, average will disappear, Quality will return. Look at GM. Junk cars financed by junk bonds. Now owned by a junk government. As a consumer, don’t consume quantity — consume quality.”

“Now they’re creating the bailout bubble — which will ultimately dwarf the real estate bubble. It will cause the implosion of the global economy world wide — which will not be able to be repaired by creating yet another bubble. Every time the government fails, it tells a bigger lie and then a still bigger lie.”

“These previous bubbles were not allowed to pop — but they didn’t destroy the infrastructure of the country. This bailout bubble will.”

“But this bubble will be the last one. After the final blowout of the bailout bubble, we are concerned that the government will take the nation into war. This is a historical precedent that’s been done over and over again.”

Beware of getting snared by legalistic churches that love to put heavy burdens on your soul.

No Gravatar

I received this email today and thought I would ask permission from this woman to post it on my Blog because so many Christians today are trapped in similar churches and have similar struggles.

I do not know how many Catholics fall away from the Catholic faith only to end up in churches that establish their own “self appointed anointed priesthood”. They then preach that their church has the only doctrine that brings salvation and all others that do not interpret certain passages their narrow minded way are not even Christians. Many people escape the bondage of Catholic legalism but then they put themselves under total control of  this self anointed appointed priesthood of control freaks.

If you think keeping the rules of your church brings you salvation you have not yet heard the Gospel of salvation. Also, if you believe you are now enlightened and above sin you probably just opened the door for Satan to sift you like wheat. If you really believe salvation depends on your own performance I can assure you that your performance will fall short. Jesus said to take my yoke upon you for my burden is light. The Lord’s burden is light because Jesus is carrying all of your load.

This lady found out the truth but not before she had to attend the school of hard knocks. Unfortunately some never learn and they keep themselves and everyone around them in legalistic bondage. This post and this woman’s email is presented for those who are bound in legalism with the hope that a few will have ears to hear and will depart from this bondage.

After you read this email please take a minute and Pray for Ruby and her son Gabriel.

If you are in a controlling church like this please read my article on legalism

Hi Don,  name is Ruby. I will start first of all by giving our Lord Jesus Christ all the honor and glory because he is God and worthy to be praised. I thank God for you, and the (thepropheticyears.com) website  that you have created. I thank God he has

appointed you to be a watchman. Don, I stumbled across you’re website almost a year ago I was surfing the Internet was curious about the end times something I saw on the History channel on what I think might of been about the Mayan calendar which I don’t agree with I do believe it is paganism.  Don, I want you to know first of all that I don’t know why I feel compelled to write to you.  Maybe it’s gratitude for all the information you put forth on the website all of that research and work that you have done to help others like myself.  Don, I

believe you’re reward is in heaven.  I want to write to you about my life experience as a Christian. I know you are a busy man of God, and probably have better things to do but I pray you read this message.

Don, as a child I was raised a Catholic I remember going to Catechism on Sundays. Then in my early teens I married, but in order to get married through the Catholic Church I had to make my First Holy Communion and I did and had a Church wedding.  I was never a devout Catholic I believed in God, but did not know God as my personal Lord and Savour.

Then in my early Twenties, a young mother of two sons my daughter was not born at that time. My now ex-husband, and I were invited to attend a Church service at a little Church where you could count the Church members.

It was very exciting for me because I had never heard anyone preach the word of God from the Bible in such a way it touched my heart. I can still to this day remember hearing about Gods Salvation Plan and how Jesus Christ our Lord came and died for our sins. The word of God was foreign to me but at the same time beautiful and inspiring.

I was baptized in the name of Jesus the Church I attended was a non-denominational church In Jesus only name or the oneness Church. They strongly believe in (Act 2:38)  repent be baptized submerged in water in the name of Jesus only to be saved. They believe that speaking in tongues is a sign of being sealed with or receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. This religion denies the (Holy Trinity) and preach against it, they really believe that if you are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit you are not saved.  I myself believed that once, that’s what I was taught to believe.  Don, I spoke in tongues many years ago I believe it was God’s gift to me, there was no interpreters there so I don’t know what I said God knows, I do know however I was praising God. They also taught that once baptized if you commit sin you forfeit your salvation never again to be forgiven but lose your soul forever because our Lord Jesus Christ died for us only once on the cross for forgiveness of sins. Looking back all of those years I now know that there was one thing missing in that religion probably one of the most important commandments.  Love and charity. (1 Cor 13) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity. There was almost a mean streak about them it’s sad but true, I really believe they meant well but they can’t see it’s like they are in darkness just like I was. Don, I believe now that you receive the Spirit of God when you become a believer in Jesus Christ our Lord. It’s God’s free gift to us. (Eph 4:30) And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

I was a member of that religion for ten years, I wore dresses I was not allowed to wear pants or shorts just dresses. The sleeves had be a certain length and I wore flat shoes, I used a hair covering, could not cut my hair, style, curl or color my hair use makeup or jewelry. We were not allowed to watch TV, listen to radio, go to the movies, parks, entertainment of any kind was considered worldly and not acceptable.  Did not celebrate Christmas, Easter or Thanksgiving any kind of holy days or holidays were not allowed not even birthdays. The one thing that was preached against the most was the (Holy Trinity) they really believe that the Triune of God does not exist.  However I don’t believe that way anymore this religion believes if you are not baptized in the name of Jesus you are lost, and you are not going to heaven they really believe you  be baptized in the name of Jesus in order to be saved.  Don, I know because I believed that way once myself.  How could I possibly think that only people in Jesus name are safe is beyond me who was I to judge others.

My ex-husband and I were to be relocated to another state he’s  job took us there. I can’t say I was not looking forward to it I was tired of all the hypocrisy and the lack of support and love from the Church members.  Although the transition was hard I remember  we could not find a Church to attend that we liked.

And so we just stop going and then the unthinkable happened.  I put my guard down and gave place to the devil.( Eph 4:27) Neither give place to the devil.  And Don, we sinned against God and my world changed forever.  Here I was this Women who thought she was so rooted in the Lord that nothing could possibly happen to her.  I was prideful in what I believed to be the truth. I thought I was right and everyone else was wrong in their believes.  I believed that you had to be baptized in Jesus name only for forgiveness of sins.  And that all those baptized in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit were not saved.  I believed you had to speak in tongues to receive the Holy Spirit.  I believed that everyone else had to be wrong and I had to be right because of my outward appearance I thought I was more righteous then others because I did what I was told to do according to the Church I attend.  I thought I was holier than thou because I was a submissive wife, and good mother I went to Church 3 times a week, I prayed and read my Bible and looked different than anyone else who said were a Christian.  How could I have possibly fallen from Grace!  how could I sin so greatly against my God that I love so very much.

Don, I have no one to blame but myself I take full responsibility for mine own actions.  I was not any better than the Church members I attended Church with.  I was prideful in my heart I was not humble I was blind and in darkness.  I had no more Love, compassion, charity then they did. I was like them but yet I thought I was better than anyone else in the world who did not agree with me.

And so I sinned and I knew my life had changed forever. My world literally came down on me like a ton of bricks, I could feel the weight of my sins on my shoulders and I was devastated.  And all I could think about was that I had fallen from Grace and that God would never ever forgive me again.  My spirit was crushed and the pain was unbearable everything I had work so hard for all those years was now gone. So I thought.

Don, I was angry how could this happen to me! I thought way did it happen to me, I was angry at myself, my husband everyone.  I knew the Church members would ridiculed me and say I was a backslider and no longer to be considered a sister in the Lord.

Don, I lost everything when I sinned against God or so I thought.  The one thing that I regret the most is that I thought I had lost God’s love forever and his forgiveness for what I had done I could not bear the thought it was too much for me to handle I did not want to think about it I just wanted to forget but I couldn’t.  I lost everything that ever mattered to me at that time in my life.  First I thought I had lost God in my life forever, I lost all hope where did my faith go I thought, I had none only the consent reminder of what I had done.  I lost my husband, and my home. My husband and I divorced and my family was split what a price to pay, it was horrible! I don’t wish this on anybody.

Don, it’s been years sense all of this happened but I never forgot about that little Church where I first heard the word of God. I thought about our Lord Jesus Christ and prayed and sang hymns once in a while.  I stopped going to Church because it was too painful, I could not bear the grieve and sorrow that I felt, the shame of it all and the guilt was overwhelming and the tears I have wept many times when thinking back on my past so much so, I could fill the ocean with my tears. I believe Jesus wept for me as well on Calvary tears of love and compassion and mercy for me and all humanity.

Don, I have faced the demons that taunt me for a long time it has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. I have taken every emotion I have ever felt, every sin, guilt, shame, anger, sadness every lie that Satan whispered in my ear for years, everything bad that has happened to be in my life and I have taken it to the foot of the cross at Calvary.  Never to look back but forward with the Faith God instilled in me years ago.

Don, It has been almost a year sense I started going back to Church, I like the Church I attend although I must admit I I’m more careful and do a lot of more research on every subject and I’m not easily persuaded anymore. God has been good to me, I believe he has had Compassion and mercy on me. I like that verse in (Rom 9:15) For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have Mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. I know God has had mercy and compassion on me if it weren’t so I would not be writing this letter or I would of never returned to church. I believe in God’s great mercy I know he forgives us for sins of our past, present and future.

I have learned a lot by my mistakes, I have learned not to judge others.

(Rom 2:1)

I was not a humble person I was prideful but God has shown me how to be a

humble person.

( 2 Chr. 7:14 )

I have learned to forgive others and forgive myself.

(Eph 4:32)

And I I’m still learning to Love more and try to me more like Christ.

( 1 Cor.13 )

I believe that we are saved by grace through faith.

(Eph 2:18

Don, God blessed me with a Bible verse that I love, when I most needed help God blessed me with this Bible verse.

(Psalms 27:14)  Wait on the Lord be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.

Don,  I have one request to make will you please pray for my son Gabriel. He has gone missing for a few years I have not heard from him or seen him.  I had a really good relationship with my son I don’t know why he wants nothing to do with the family. Don, I love my son very much and forgive him, I just want him to come home to his family we miss him and love him very much.  Don, I know God loves us and does not disown his children anymore then I have disowned my child.  God loves me and his children he paid the price for us at Calvary on that cross with his precious blood we’ve been bought.

Don,  thank you so very much, for making a difference in my life. I pray that one day I too will be able to make a difference in someone else life. God bless you and you’re family and your website thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you,

Ruby
